Statistical matching was used to add income variables from EU-SILC to the the Micro Census (MC) environment dataset 2011. For each respondent of the MC environment a donor from the data from EU-SILC with minimal distance was found. Several matching options were tested to find the best option to link the variable "total disposable household income" to the environmental data. The machting options differed in the used distance function, which depended on the selected matching variables and their weight. The analysis provided an insight into advantages or problems of the method of statistical matching. Analyses of the environmental responses by household income terciles revealed significant differences in the assessment of quality of life, disturbance by noise, purchase of ecological products or the use of public transport.展开更多

This paper focused on tourists' environmental responsible behaviors in the context of all-for-one tourism. On the basis of clarifying the connotation, dimension and driving factors of tourists' environmental responsible behaviors, this paper firstly analyzed the relationship between all-for-one tourism and tourists' environmental responsible behaviors, and proposed that the development of all-for-one tourism was an important path to optimize and upgrade China's tourism industry and a new concept of sustainable development of tourism industry. The emergence of all-for-one tourism has formed a new tourism trend, which will drive tourists to behave more civilly. Tourists' environmental responsible behaviors are a "subject and share" concept, and from tourists' point of view, all-for-one tourism development is the most basic requirement. Secondly, based on the theory of "value-belief-norm", this paper focused on the strengthening mechanism of "interaction effect" between all-for-one tourism and tourists' environmental responsible behaviors, and put forward the idea of "double internalization strengthening" to guide tourists' environmental responsible behaviors from being passive to active, from individuals to groups. Finally, this paper discussed the promotion of environmental responsible behaviors of tourist's specific strategies from two aspects, "external drive" and "internal drive" to enhance the level of all-for-one tourism construction and strengthen the environment responsibility of tourists. "External drives" were as follows:(1) to make a scientific development plan to implement the "host and vip sharing" mechanism;(2) to optimize the landscape, the environment, services, enhance the local attachment of visitors;(3) to improve the infrastructure system, pay attention to the details of visitors' experience;(4) to strengthen environment education and publicity, deepening the quality of tourists' civilization construction, and strengthen the environmental responsible behaviors of tourists. "Internal drives" were as follows:(1) to strengthen the sense of environmental responsibility of tourists;(2) to establish a model of environmental responsible behaviors;(3) to strengthen the supervision of environmental responsible behaviors.展开更多

To comprehensively and systematically understand the research hotspot and cutting-edge trends related to PFASs in the environmental field, a quantitative investigation was conducted based on 7735 PFAS-related articles extracted from the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC) from 2000 to 2023. The assessment involved trend of publication, prominent research contributors (countries, authors, and institutions) and influential journals. The results indicated a marked increase in the number of publications focused on environmentally-oriented PFASs since 2014, with these publications constituting approximately 83.89 % of the total body of literature on this topic. China and the USA emerged as the foremost contributors in this field. The preeminent journals included Environmental Science & Technology, Chemosphere, and Science of the Total Environment. Keyword frequency, co-occurrence network, and burst analysis delineated PFASs' research in the environmental field primarily focused on environmental monitoring, toxic effects, and the ultimate destinations and degradation pathways of the PFASs. It is anticipated that future research will focus on investigating the toxic mechanisms of PFASs' impacts on human health and on developing techniques to remove PFASs from drinking water. This study provided a comprehensive overview of the extant literature, granting researchers an enriched understanding of PFASs’ research progress and offering valuable insights regarding potential avenues for further investigation.展开更多

In this study, the adsorption behaviors of OBS on five soils with different physicochemical properties were investigated. The rate of OBS adsorption was fast, and most of the OBS uptake was completed within 12 h. The good model fit of OBS adsorption to the pseudo-second-order and Elovich models indicated the occurrence of chemical adsorption. The adsorption isotherms of OBS on the soils were better described by the Freundlich model than by the Langmuir model, suggesting that the OBS adsorption sites on the soils were heterogeneous. This is possibly associated with various adsorption mechanisms including hydrophobic, π-π, hydrogen bonding, and electrostatic interactions, further confirmed by the good model fit to the D-R isotherm. Adsorption of OBS occurred on the soils, and the adsorption process was spontaneous and endothermic. In addition, the soils were more suitable for OBS adsorption at lower pH values due to the stronger electrostatic adsorption. The OBS adsorption on the soils decreased with the increase of soil depth from 0 to 30 cm. Moreover, the presence of organic matter and ammonia nitrogen in the soils was favorable for OBS adsorption, and these parameters decreased with increasing soil depth, making OBS adsorption less prominent in the deeper soil. This study indicates that OBS is easily enriched in surface soils, and that soil organic matter and ammonia nitrogen significantly affect OBS migration in soil.展开更多

However, previous studies reported a gap between high environmental awareness and behavior. So to promote this practice, it is necessary to clarify the determinants that lead to practice. Because of the rapid economic growth in developing countries, including Vietnam, pollution problems and energy consumption are of major importance. This study aims to propose methods to promote pro-environmental practices based on a questionnaire and statistical analysis that investigated university students in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh city. From the factor analysis, in actions to do with the power-saving behavior of standby power and home electronics, and the use of air conditioning, four evaluation criteria including effectiveness, cost feasibility, convenience, and social norms are extracted. The covariance structure analysis showed that the evaluation of convenience represented the strongest causal relation to a given power-saving action, and the action, in turn, can lead to improvements in most practical activities so as to enhance their convenience. Finally, several methods to save energy are proposed based on the results of the questionnaire.展开更多

文摘Families'large pollution and energy consumption cannot be underestimated. In order to realize and internalize environmental awareness as a social consensus,it is imperative for every member of a household to be involved in transforming everyday behavior.Intergenerational interactions are of paramount importance.Accordingly, the focus of this study was on parent-adolescent interactions, their reciprocal impact on environmental behaviors, and the factors that have an influence on these processes.Questionnaires were employed to collect information of 684 families in 10 districts of Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province.Subsequently, interviews were conducted with 15 of these families to comprehend the tangible reasons underlying intergenerational interactions in environmental behaviors.First,a paired sample T-test was employed to compare the frequency of these interactions. The data showed that while the T values were positive in all eight compared groups, there were significant differences in seven of them. These results suggest that the impact of intergenerational interactions on environmental behaviors is not symmetrical:parents'instructions are far more frequent than adolescents'back-feeding of ecological notions. The interviews revealed that this phenomenon was generated primarily by unequal experiences between parents and adolescents because the latter do not participate in housework and family projects.Furthermore, the traditional concept of intergenerational order appears to be permanent.Second, two linear regression models,a Parent-to-Adolescent model and an Adolescent-to-Parent model that encompassed several factors including family structure, intergenerational relationships, living environment, and families'social class were developed.Among these factors, the intergenerational relationship variable played a particularly significant role:the more equal and open-minded dialogs are incorporated into parent-adolescent communication, the more favorable interactions may occur for development of their environmental behaviors. Thus, when an environmental education system with families is constructed,it is imperative to promote a parent's ecological awareness with the help of grass-roots organizations by means of reasonable rewards and punishments to redress their former behaviors so as to let Big Hands Guide Small Hands. It is also crucial to enhance a more equal intergenerational relationship through parents'schooling or other relevant services so as to create a favorable atmosphere for Small Hands Guide Big Hands.
文摘The project "environmental conditions and behaviour depending on income and purchasing power" analysed the correlation between environmental impacts (e.g. noise, dust) or environmental behaviour (purchase of organic food, usage of public transport) and household income. Analyses of the environmental responses by household income terciles revealed significant differences in the assessment of quality of life, disturbance by noise, purchase of ecological products or the use of public transport.

文摘The overall promotion of all-for-one tourism requires tourists' civilized behaviors. "Internal drives" were as follows:(1) to strengthen the sense of environmental responsibility of tourists;(2) to establish a model of environmental responsible behaviors;(3) to strengthen the supervision of environmental responsible behaviors.

文摘The aging of micro-and nanoplastics(MNPs)significantly affects their environmental behavior and ecological impacts in both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. This review explored the known effects of aging on MNPs and identified several key perspectives.Firstly, aging can alter the environmental fate and transport of MNPs due to changes in their surface properties. This alteration accelerates their accumulation in specific habitats like oceans and soils, resulting in increased bioaccumulation by organisms. In addition, aged MNPs interact differently with living organisms than their pristine counterparts by influencing the attachment of biofilms and other microorganisms in aquatic ecosystems. Moreover, the aging processes of MNPs exhibit adverse effects on aquatic and terrestrial organisms via increasing the bioavailability and potential toxicity of MNPs as degradation products are released.Last but not least, the biodegradation potential of MNPs can be altered by the aging process, thus affecting their degradation rates and pathways in the environment. However, there are still knowledge gaps regarding the natural aging behaviors of MNPs,such as the aging mechanisms of different types of plastic, the influence of environmental factors, the release of pollutants, and even the effects of aging on their transformation in different ecosystems. Therefore,a great contribution can be made to sustainable plastic use and environmental preservation by studying the natural aging of common MNPs and their subsequent biological effects.

文摘Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) have garnered significant attention as emerging contaminants (ECs) due to their concerning implications for ecological systems and human well-being, as well as their exhibited sustained environmental persistence, long-range migration capabilities, and bioaccumulation characteristics. This study provided a comprehensive overview of the extant literature, granting researchers an enriched understanding of PFASs’ research progress and offering valuable insights regarding potential avenues for further investigation.

文摘The widespread use of sodium p-perfluorous nonenoxybenzene sulfonate(OBS), a typical alternative to perfluorooctane sulfonate, has resulted in potential threats to the environment, but the adsorption behavior of OBS in soils has not yet been reported. This study indicates that OBS is easily enriched in surface soils, and that soil organic matter and ammonia nitrogen significantly affect OBS migration in soil.
文摘Currently, in the course of serious environmental problems where the cause is anthropogenic, such as global wanning, not only the technology and policies but also the promotions of pro-environmental behavior are required. Finally, several methods to save energy are proposed based on the results of the questionnaire.
