Mechanical properties are critical to the quality of hot-rolled steel pipe products.Accurately understanding the relationship between rolling parameters and mechanical properties is crucial for effective prediction an...Mechanical properties are critical to the quality of hot-rolled steel pipe products.Accurately understanding the relationship between rolling parameters and mechanical properties is crucial for effective prediction and control.To address this,an industrial big data platform was developed to collect and process multi-source heterogeneous data from the entire production process,providing a complete dataset for mechanical property prediction.The adaptive bandwidth kernel density estimation(ABKDE)method was proposed to adjust bandwidth dynamically based on data density.Combining long short-term memory neural networks with ABKDE offers robust prediction interval capabilities for mechanical properties.The proposed method was deployed in a large-scale steel plant,which demonstrated superior prediction interval performance compared to lower upper bound estimation,mean variance estimation,and extreme learning machine-adaptive bandwidth kernel density estimation,achieving a prediction interval normalized average width of 0.37,a prediction interval coverage probability of 0.94,and the lowest coverage width-based criterion of 1.35.Notably,shapley additive explanations-based explanations significantly improved the proposed model’s credibility by providing a clear analysis of feature impacts.展开更多

The new TCP implementation, called Receiver Advertisement Based TCP (TCP-Rab) proposed here to eliminat...With the evolution of network technologies, the deficiencies of TCP protocol are becoming more and more distinct. The new TCP implementation, called Receiver Advertisement Based TCP (TCP-Rab) proposed here to eliminate these deficiencies, adopts two basic mechanisms: (1) Bandwidth Estimation and (2) Immediate Recovery. Bandwidth estimation is carried out at the receiver, and the result is sent back to the sender via the acknowledgments. Immediate Recovery guarantees high performance even in lossy link. Rab can distinguish the reason for packet loss, and thus adopt appropriate recovery strategy. For loss by network congestion, it will back off its congestion window, and for loss by link errors, it will recover the congestion window immediately. Simulations indicated that Rab has superiority over other TCP implementations.展开更多

According to motion continuity, MVs in local area should be similar. If projecting MV into 2-D feature space, local MVs in the feature space tend to cluster closely. To estimate the lost MVs in local area, recovery of lost MVs is modeled as clustering operation. MS procedure is applied to enforce each lost MV in the feature space to shift to the position where dominant MVs are gathered. Meanwhile, bandwidth estimation is statistically characterized by the variation of local standard de-viations; weighted value calculation is determined by estimation of overall standard deviation. Simu-lation results demonstrate their better performance when compared with other MV recovery ap-proaches and low computation cost.展开更多

This paper presents local linear estimators by TSLS with variable bandwidth for every structural equation in semi-parametric simultaneous equation models in econometrics. The properties under large sample size were studied by using the asymptotic theory when all variables were random. The results show that the estimators of the parameters have consistency and asymptotic normality, and their convergence rates are equal to n^-1/2. And the estimator of the nonparametric function has the consistency and asymptotic normality in interior points and its rate of convergence is equal to the optimal convergence rate of the nonparametric function estimation.展开更多

We propose and study a novel end-to-end congestion control mechanism called TCP-LD (Loss Detection) that is simple and effective for dealing with random packet loss. We also give its steady state throughput model. Both the ns2 and numerical simulation results show that our scheme can achieve significant throughput improvements without adversely affecting other concurrent TCP connections, including other concurrent Reno connections both in wired and wireless environment.展开更多
