Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the time-bound efficacy of brainwave entrainment using binaural beats, comparing it to a standard tinnitus masker over a three-month duration. Method: Sixty-three individuals having tinnitus with normal hearing sensitivity were enrolled in the study. The participants were categorized into groups Ⅰ, Ⅱ, and Ⅲ. They were provided with delta(4 Hz) and alpha(10 Hz) frequency binaural beats and standard tinnitus masker, respectively, for a duration of three months. The tinnitus handicap inventory(THI) scores, Visual analogue scale(VAS) rating for tinnitus distress, and quality of life parameters were measured. The reductions obtained for each measure during the end of the first, second and third month were measured and compared across the groups. Results: All three groups showed considerable reductions in THI and VAS scores and improvements in the quality of life domains, focusing on physical and psychological health. However, groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ, who received binaural beats stimuli, showed higher benefits than those who received standard tinnitus masker. Conclusion: The results of the current study indicated that binaural beats can be an effective treatment technique for individuals with tinnitus having normal hearing sensitivity. Clinicians and otology/audiology practitioners shall adopt this innovative treatment after further validating these findings.展开更多
Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Wenxin Keli for premature beats in structurally normal heart systematically.Methods:Eight databases at home and abroad were searched to collect randomized controlled tr...Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Wenxin Keli for premature beats in structurally normal heart systematically.Methods:Eight databases at home and abroad were searched to collect randomized controlled trials of Wenxin Keli for premature beats without cardiac diseases.The included literatures were systematically evaluated with Cochrane Handbook 5.1 evaluation criteria and tools,and Meta analysis was performed with software RevMan5.3.Results:A total of 13 randomized controlled trials with 1278 subjects were included.The exprimental group used Wenxin Keli alone while the control group used antiarrhythmic medicine.The Meta analysis results showed that the total effective rate(RR=1.06,95%CI[0.97,1.16],P=0.23)and clinical symptom effective rate(RR=1.16,95%CI[0.94,1.44],P=0.18)of Wenxin Keli on idiopathic premature beats was not significantly different from western medicine group.The subgroup analysis of total effective rate showed that Wenxin Keli had no significant difference with metoprolol(RR=1.04,95%CI[0.95,1.15],P=0.41),bisoprolol(RR=1.32,95%CI[0.85,2.05],P=0.22)and propanone(RR=1.07,95%CI[0.90,1.26],P=0.44).ECG changes showed that the PR intervals(MD=-12.57,95%CI[-16.15,-8.99],P<0.00001)and QTc intervals(MD=-8.09,95%CI[-15.52,-0.65],P=0.03)in the western medicine group were prolonged significantly more than those of Wenxin Keli.In terms of safety,the incidence of adverse reactions of Wenxin Keli was significantly less than that of western medicine group(RR=0.32,95%CI[0.19,0.54],P<0.0001).Conclusion:The efficacy of Wenxin Keli in the treatment of premature beats with structurally normal heart is accurate,and there are no serious adverse reactions.However,because of the low quality of the included papers,which affected the reliability of the conclusions,high-quality clinical research is needed to further demonstrate.展开更多

Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of Ningxin Tongluo Decoction(宁心通络汤)combined with Dapagliflozin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with ventricular premature beats.Methods:Ninety-t...Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of Ningxin Tongluo Decoction(宁心通络汤)combined with Dapagliflozin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with ventricular premature beats.Methods:Ninety-two patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with ventricular premature beats in our hospital were randomly divided into control group(n=46)and observation group(n=46).The control group was treated with routine Western medicine,and the observation group was treated with Ningxin Tongluo Decoction on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy of the two groups before and after treatment,TCM syndrome score,blood glucose levels[fasting blood glucose(GLU),glycosylated hemoglobin(Hb A1c)],glucose metabolism levels[fasting insulin(FINS),insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)],the number of ventricular premature beats detected by 24-hour ambulatory electrocardiogram,heart rate turbulence(HRT)[initial oscillation(TO),oscillation slope(TS)],and heart rate variability(HRV)standard deviation of two normal R-R intervals(SDNN),standard deviation of average normal R-R intervals every 5 minutes(SDANN)and root mean square of adjacent normal R-R intervals(RMSSD)were observed.Results:After treatment,the total effective rate of the observation group was 89.13%,significantly higher than that of the control group(73.91%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Both groups could reduce TCM syndrome score,blood glucose level,glucose metabolism level,reduce the number of ventricular premature beats,improve HRT and HRV levels,and the observation group was superior to the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Ningxin Tongluo Decoction combined with Dapagliflozin is effective in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with ventricular premature beats.It can reduce blood glucose level,improve HRV and HRT,improve autonomic nerve function and exert antiarrhythmic effect.展开更多

Methods: 50 cases of cardiovascular diseases were selected from December 2019 to December 2020. In the control group, the patients were assisted in the form of succinic acid metal buffer for the combination of amiodarone, in which the group was added with Guizhi Gancao Longgu Oyster Modified Decoction. Comparison of patients' cardiovascular frequency, treatment of patients, PR, NBP, CRP phase, total efficiency. Results: compared with the ventricles of the patients in the first group, the interval between the first and second stages of treatment, the dispersion of QTD, the dispersion of QTCD, P > 0.05, and the dispersion coefficients, PR, QTD, QTCD and QTCD of the two ventricles after treatment were improved. At that time, as the indexes of ventricles in the observation group, PR, QTD and QTCD were significantly lower than those in the control group, P < 0.05. Before treatment, CRP, P > 0.05 in the two groups of patients with NBP, and after treatment, both the NBP and CRP groups decreased, while CRP in the NBP observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). This group is always more effective than the control group, n < 0.05. Conclusion: the application of Guizhi Gancao Longgu Oyster Modified Decoction in the early stage of coronary gastrointestinal-vascular pollution is certain to effectively improve the patient's cardiac function and should be encouraged and applied.展开更多
The electrocardiogram(ECG)is a non-invasive and cost-effective screening tool that is widely available and has been incorporated into many pre-participation screening programs for athletes.Despite historical criticism...The electrocardiogram(ECG)is a non-invasive and cost-effective screening tool that is widely available and has been incorporated into many pre-participation screening programs for athletes.Despite historical criticisms regarding its suboptimal specificity,which could impact cost-effectiveness,the ECG remains a fundamental diagnostic method.Over the last 2 decades,significant research has focused on distinguishing pathological from physiological ECG patterns,the latter associated with the“athlete’s heart”.The most recent guidelines for ECG interpretation in athletes include the International Criteria,published in 2017,which categorize ECG findings into common(training related),uncommon(training unrelated),and a“borderline”sub-group,with findings that do not necessitate further investigation when isolated.Premature ventricular beats(PVBs),although often overlooked,are a frequent cause of secondary investigations in athletes,especially when detected during exercise testing.Recent advances over the past decade have refined diagnostic methodologies,placing greater emphasis on morphological features,exercise relationships,and reproducibility,rather than solely on the count of PVBs.This evolution aims to enhance stratification for further investigations,such as cardiac magnetic resonance,which is crucial within this updated diagnostic framework,as it identifies pathologies causing sudden cardiac death during exercise.This review aims to provide a modern revision of the interpretation of ECGs and PVBs,incorporating a historical excursus to trace the evolution of these criteria.It is designed to offer clinicians a practical key for enhanced diagnostic precision in athlete screenings,reflecting both past insights and current advances.展开更多

Objective:To explore the correlation between night ECG parameters and sleep quality in elderly patients with atrial premature beat(PAC).Methods:A total of 307 elderly patients with PAC were selected from March 2022 to...Objective:To explore the correlation between night ECG parameters and sleep quality in elderly patients with atrial premature beat(PAC).Methods:A total of 307 elderly patients with PAC were selected from March 2022 to March 2024.The parameters of room morning load and heart rate variability(HRV)at night(22:00-6:00)were collected by 24h holter electrocardiogram,and the sleep quality of PAC patients was evaluated by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI).Multiple regression analysis was used to explore the correlation between night ECG parameters and sleep quality.Results:The incidence of sleep disorder in 307 elderly PAC patients was 62.54%.Univariate analysis showed that there were no statistically significant differences in gender,BMI and education level(P>0.05),but there were statistically significant differences in age,disease course,underlying diseases,atrial morning load,SDNN,RMSSD,LF,HF,LF/HF and TP(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that atrial morning load,SDNN,RMSSD,LF and LF/HF were independent influencing factors of sleep disorder in elderly PAC patients(P<0.05).Patients with sleep disorders were divided into mild group,moderate group and severe group according to PSQI score,and there were statistically significant differences in the indexes of atrial morning load,SDNN,LF,LF/HF and TP among the three groups(all P<0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that room morning load,LF,LF/HF and TP were positively correlated with the degree of sleep disorder,while SDNN parameters were negatively correlated with the degree of sleep disorder(all P<0.05).Conclusion:There is a significant correlation between night ECG parameters and sleep disorders in elderly patients with PAC.It is possible to prevent and treat sleep disorders by monitoring ECG abnormalities and improve the reliability of treatment.展开更多

文摘Objective:To explore the correlation between night ECG parameters and sleep quality in elderly patients with atrial premature beat(PAC).Methods:A total of 307 elderly patients with PAC were selected from March 2022 to March 2024.The parameters of room morning load and heart rate variability(HRV)at night(22:00-6:00)were collected by 24h holter electrocardiogram,and the sleep quality of PAC patients was evaluated by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI).Multiple regression analysis was used to explore the correlation between night ECG parameters and sleep quality.Results:The incidence of sleep disorder in 307 elderly PAC patients was 62.54%.Univariate analysis showed that there were no statistically significant differences in gender,BMI and education level(P>0.05),but there were statistically significant differences in age,disease course,underlying diseases,atrial morning load,SDNN,RMSSD,LF,HF,LF/HF and TP(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that atrial morning load,SDNN,RMSSD,LF and LF/HF were independent influencing factors of sleep disorder in elderly PAC patients(P<0.05).Patients with sleep disorders were divided into mild group,moderate group and severe group according to PSQI score,and there were statistically significant differences in the indexes of atrial morning load,SDNN,LF,LF/HF and TP among the three groups(all P<0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that room morning load,LF,LF/HF and TP were positively correlated with the degree of sleep disorder,while SDNN parameters were negatively correlated with the degree of sleep disorder(all P<0.05).Conclusion:There is a significant correlation between night ECG parameters and sleep disorders in elderly patients with PAC.It is possible to prevent and treat sleep disorders by monitoring ECG abnormalities and improve the reliability of treatment.
