This paper revisits the problem of bumpless transfer control(BTC) for discrete-time nondeterministic switched linear systems. The general case of asynchronous switching is considered for the first time in the field of BTC for switched systems. A new approach called interpolated bumpless transfer control(IBTC) is proposed, where the bumpless transfer controllers are formulated with the combination of the two adjacent modedependent controller gains, and are interpolated for finite steps once the switching is detected. In contrast with the existing approaches, IBTC does not necessarily run through the full interval of subsystems, as well as possesses the time-varying controller gains(with more flexibility and less conservatism) achieved from a control synthesis allowing for the stability and other performance of the whole switched system. Sufficient conditions ensuring stability and H_(∞) performance of the underlying system by IBTC are developed, and numerical examples verify the theoretical findings. 展开更多

This paper presents an asynchronous output-feed-back control strategy of semi-Markovian systems via sliding mode-based learning technique.Compared with most literature results that require exact prior knowledge of system state and mode information,an asynchronous output-feedback sliding sur-face is adopted in the case of incompletely available state and non-synchronization phenomenon.The holonomic dynamics of the sliding mode are characterized by a descriptor system in which the switching surface is regarded as the fast subsystem and the system dynamics are viewed as the slow subsystem.Based upon the co-occurrence of two subsystems,the sufficient stochastic admissibility criterion of the holonomic dynamics is derived by utilizing the characteristics of cumulative distribution functions.Furthermore,a recursive learning controller is formulated to guarantee the reachability of the sliding manifold and realize the chattering reduction of the asynchronous switching and sliding motion.Finally,the proposed theoretical method is substantia-ted through two numerical simulations with the practical contin-uous stirred tank reactor and F-404 aircraft engine model,respectively. 展开更多

Double-integrator multi-agent systems(MASs)might not achieve dynamical consensus,even if only partial agents suffer from self-sensing function failures(SSFFs).SSFFs might be asynchronous in real engineering application.The existing fault-tolerant dynamical consensus protocol suitable for synchronous SSFFs cannot be directly used to tackle fault-tolerant dynamical consensus of double-integrator MASs with partial agents subject to asynchronous SSFFs.Motivated by these facts,this paper explores a new fault-tolerant dynamical consensus protocol suitable for asynchronous SSFFs.First,multi-hop communication together with the idea of treating asynchronous SSFFs as multiple piecewise synchronous SSFFs is used for recovering the connectivity of network topology among all normal agents.Second,a fault-tolerant dynamical consensus protocol is designed for double-integrator MASs by utilizing the history information of an agent subject to SSFF for computing its own state information at the instants when its minimum-hop normal neighbor set changes.Then,it is theoretically proved that if the strategy of network topology connectivity recovery and the fault-tolerant dynamical consensus protocol with proper time-varying gains are used simultaneously,double-integrator MASs with all normal agents and all agents subject to SSFFs can reach dynamical consensus.Finally,comparison numerical simulations are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results. 展开更多

There are synchronous FIFOs and asycnrhonous FIFOs. And different sized FIFOs should be implemented in different ways. FIFOs are used not only for the pipeline design within a processor, for the inter-processor communication networks, for example Network-on-Chips (NoCs), but also for the peripherals and the clock domain crossing at the whole SoC level. In this paper, we review the interface, the circuit implementation, and the various usages of FIFOs in various levels of the digital design. We can find that the usage of FIFOs could greatly facilitate the signal storage, signal decoupling, signal transfer, power domain separation and power domain crossing in digital systems. We hope that more attentions are paid to the usages of synchronous and asynchronous FIFOs and more sophististicated usages are discovered by the digital design communities. 展开更多

The robust controller design problem for switched polytopic systems under asynchronous switching is addressed.These systems exist in many aviation applications, such as dynamical systems involving rapid variations.A switched polytopic system is established to describe the highly maneuverable technology vehicle within the full flight envelope and a robust dynamic output feedback control method is designed for the switched polytopic system.Combining the Lyapunov-like function method and the average dwell time method, a sufficient condition is derived for the switched polytopic system with asynchronous switching and data dropout to be globally,uniformly and asymptotically stable in terms of linear matrix inequality.The robust dynamic output feedback controller is then applied to the highly maneuverable technology vehicle to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.The simulation results show that the angle of attack tracking performance is acceptable over the time history and the control surface responses are all satisfying along the full flight trajectory. 展开更多

This paper proposes a tube-based method for the asynchronous observation problem of discrete-time switched linear systems in the presence of amplitude-bounded disturbances.Sufficient stability conditions of the nominal observer error system under mode-dependent persistent dwell-time(MPDT)switching are first established. Taking the disturbances into account, a novel asynchronous MPDT robust positive invariant(RPI) set and an asynchronous MPDT generalized RPI(GRPI)set are determined for the difference system between the nominal and disturbed observer error systems. Further, the global uniform asymptotical stability of the observer error system is established in the sense of converging to the asynchronous MPDT GRPI set, i.e., the cross section of the tube of the observer error system. This paper presents partially asynchronous parallel simulation of continuous-system (PAPSoCS) and some approaches to the issues of its implementation on a multicomputer system. To guarantee the simulation results correct and speedup the simulation, the scheme for efficient PAPSoCS is proposed and the virtual topology star is constructed to match the path of message passing for solving algorithm-architecture adequation problem. Under the circumstances that messages frequently passed inter-processor are much shorter, typically within several 4 bytes, asynchronous communication mode is employed to reduce the communication ratio. Experiment results show that asynchronous parallel simulation has much higher efficiency than its synchronous counterpart. 展开更多

This study is concerned with the H∞control for the full-envelope unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the presence of missing measurements and external disturbances. With the dramatic parameter variations in large flight envelope and the locally overlapped switching laws in flight, the system dynamics is modeled as a locally overlapped switched polytopic system to reduce designing conservatism and solving complexity. Then, considering updating lags of controller's switching signals and the weighted coefficients of the polytopic subsystems induced by missing measurements, an asynchronous H∞control method is proposed such that the system is stable and a desired disturbance attenuation level is satisfied. Furthermore, the sufficient existing conditions of the desired switched parameter-dependent H∞controller are derived in the form of linear matrix inequality (LMIs) by combining the switched parameter-dependent Lyapunov function method and average dwell time method. Finally, a numerical example based on a highly maneuverable technology (HiMAT) vehicle is given to verify the validity of the proposed method. © 2014 Chinese Association of Automation. 展开更多

In this paper we address the issue of output-feedback robust control for a class of feedforward nonlinear systems.Essentially different from the related literature,the feedback/input signals are corrupted by additive noises and can only be transmitted intermittently due to the consideration of event-triggered communications,which bring new challenges to the control design.With the aid of matrix pencil based design procedures,regulating the output to near zero is globally solved by a non-conservative dynamic low-gain controller which requires only an a priori information on the upper-bound of the growth rate of nonlinearities.Theoretical analysis shows that the closed-loop system is input-to-state stable with respect to the sampled errors and additive noise.In particular,the observer and controller designs have a dual architecture with a single dynamic scaling parameter whose update law can be obtained by calculating the generalized eigenvalues of matrix pencils offline,which has an advantage in the sense of improving the system convergence rate. 展开更多

This paper deals with the problem of non-fragile linear parameter-varying(LPV) H_∞ control for morphing aircraft with asynchronous switching.The switched LPV model of morphing aircraft is established by Jacobian linearization approach according to the nonlinear model.The data missing is taken into account in the link from sensors to controllers and the link from controllers to actuators,which satisfies Bernoulli distribution.The non-fragile switched LPV controllers are constructed with consideration of the uncertainties of controllers and asynchronous switching phenomenon.The parameter-dependent Lyapunov functional method and mode-dependent average dwell time(MDADT) method are combined to guarantee the stability and prescribed performance of the system.The sufficient conditions on the solvability of the problem are derived in the form of linear matrix inequalities(LMI).In order to achieve higher efficiency of the designing process,an algorithm is applied to divide the whole set into subsets automatically.Simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the method in the paper. 展开更多

And it is guaranteed that the estimated states of the closed-loop system are ultimately bounded in a region containing the origin. As a result, the states of the actual system are ultimately bounded. The development of regional integrated electric-thermal energy systems(RIETES) is considered a promising direction for modern energy supply systems. These systems provide a significant potential to enhance the comprehensive utilization and efficient management of energy resources. Therein, the real-time power balance between supply and demand has emerged as one pressing concern for system stability operation. However, current methods focus more on minute-level and hour-level power optimal scheduling methods applied in RIETES. To achieve real-time power balance, this paper proposes one virtual asynchronous machine(VAM) control using heat with large inertia and electricity with fast response speed. First, the coupling timescale model is developed that considers the dynamic response time scales of both electric and thermal energy systems. Second, a real-time power balance strategy based on VAM control can be adopted to the load power variation and enhance the dynamic frequency response. Then, an adaptive inertia control method based on temperature variation is proposed, and the unified expression is further established. In addition, the small-signal stability of the proposed control strategy is validated. Finally, the effectiveness of this control strategy is confirmed through MATLAB/Simulink and HIL(Hardware-in-the-Loop) experiments. 展开更多

This paper focuses on addressing the problems of finite-time boundedness and guaranteed cost control in switched systems under asynchronous switching.To reduce redundant information transmission and alleviate data congestion of sensor nodes,two schemes are proposed:the event-triggered scheme(ETS)and the round-robin protocol(RRP).These schemes are designed to ensure that the system exhibits good dynamic characteristics while reducing communication resources.In the field of finite-time control,a switching signal is designed using the admissible edge-dependent average dwell time(AED-ADT)method.This method involves a slow AED-ADT switching and a fast AED-ADT switching,which are respectively suitable for finite-time stable and finite-time unstable situations of the controlled system within the asynchronous switching interval.By constructing a double-mode dependent Lyapunov function,the finite-time bounded criterion and the controller gain of the switched systems are obtained.Finally,the validity of the proposed results is showcased by implementing a buck-boost voltage circuit model. 展开更多

在综合能源系统(Integrated energy systems,IESs)经济调度问题的分布式优化框架中,节点协同机制的拓扑设计必然受到信息交互方式的约束。现有研究主要分为两类通信协议、同步通信和异步通信。然而,同步通信需要满足时序一致性,等待各... 在综合能源系统(Integrated energy systems,IESs)经济调度问题的分布式优化框架中,节点协同机制的拓扑设计必然受到信息交互方式的约束。现有研究主要分为两类通信协议、同步通信和异步通信。然而,同步通信需要满足时序一致性,等待各通信者之间达成同步响应或确认后才能执行后续操作,这在大规模网络环境中很难实现。该文首先基于Gossip算法的异步特点,提出了一种基于Gossip的异步通信分布式经济调度算法。利用矩阵扰动理论和特征值定理,严格证明了算法的收敛性。进一步地,考虑了两种典型的网络攻击模型,拒绝服务攻击(denial of service,DoS)和虚假数据攻击(false data injection,FDI),设计了一种弹性安全策略以缓解网络攻击对最优经济调度的影响。最后,基于IEEE39-32节点的IES进行算例分析,结合不同的调度场景、攻击者的表现以及同步通信方式的对比,从多个角度验证了所提策略在通信方式和网络安全方面的有效性和优越性。 展开更多
