Molecular Structure of Feeds in Relation to Nutrient Utilization and Availability in Animals: A Novel Approach 被引量:2

The invention and development of new research concepts, novel methodologies, and novel bioanalytical techniques are essential in advancing the animal sciences, which include feed and nutrition science. This article introduces a novel approach that shows the potential of advanced synchrotron-based bioanalytical technology for studying the effects of molecular structural changes in feeds induced by various treatments (e.g., genetic modification, gene silencing, heat-related feed processing, biofuel processing) in relation to nutrient digestion and absorption in animals. Advanced techniques based on synchrotron radiation (e.g., synchrotron radiation infrared microspectroscopy (SR-IMS) and synchrotron radiation X-ray techniques) have been developed as a fast, noninvasive, bioanalytical technology that, unlike traditional wet chemistry methods, does not damage or destroy the inherent molecular structure of the feed. The cutting-edge and advanced research tool of synchrotron light (which is a million times brighter than sunlight) can be used to explore the inherent structure of biological tissue at cellular and molecular levels at ultra-high spatial resolutions. In conclusion, the use of recently developed bioanalytical techniques based on synchrotron radiation along with common research techniques is leading to dramatic advances in animal feed and nutritional research. 展开更多

Erosive burning is a common burning phenomenon of the gunpowder with inner holes.The actual combustion law of the gunpowder with inner holes can be changed by erosive burning.Pressure difference between the inner and the outer of hole caused by loading density variation of the propellant charge makes erosive burning occur at inner holes during in-bore burning.The effect of erosive burning on burning speed of the propellant is studied by using the effects of flow rate,heat transfer and erosion of the combustion gas in inner holes on burning rate.The mathematic model of erosive burning of the propellant is established.The effects of the factors such as loading density,inner hole size and grain length on erosive burning and interior ballistic performance are analyzed.The method to improve the bore pressure for small charge mass and small firing range by erosive burning is proposed. 展开更多

Science and technology innovation has always been present in Asia,but its application in disaster risk reduction(DRR) has been differential.In Asia,globally significant hotspots of disasters and economic development have emerged in which the application of science and technology in DRR has become an essential requirement for informed decision making.Science has supported establishment and implementation of major international initiatives in DRR,including the Hyogo Framework for Action 2005-2015.The more recent Sendai Framework for DRR 2015-2030 recognizes the importance of science and technology in all of its priority action areas,and subsequent global and regional forums and conferences have reconfirmed science and technology's importance.To perceive and monitor the progress of science and technology in DRR,a qualitative assessment of different countries is made using three major attributes:(1) science-based decision making;(2) investment in science and technology;and(3) the intensity of science's link to the public.This assessment exercise points out several strengths and weaknesses in science and technology application;the method can be employed to develop future multistakeholder and multidisciplinary science and technology plans at the country level.To implement regional and national activities,a set of 15 recommendations is put forward,which will strengthen the collective regional "science voice" in DRR. 展开更多

[研究目的]场景驱动创新是引领产业结构升级的关键路径,如何基于不同场景识别前沿技术成为推动新质生产力发展的重要议题。[研究方法]提出了一种面向应用场景的前沿技术识别方法。首先以专利、论文为数据源,基于前瞻性、先导性、探索性、颠覆性指标体系初步筛选前沿技术主题;其次以科技报告为数据源,基于技术-关系-技术(Technology-Relationship-Technology,TRT)结构的语义分析,分析技术应用场景;最后,构建专利、论文数据与科技报告的相似性矩阵,建立技术与场景识别结果的关联,据此进一步筛选前沿技术主题,并结合专家知识,识别出面向应用场景的前沿技术主题,提供了场景驱动实践探索的新方法。[研究结果/结论]以无人机目标识别与跟踪领域为例进行实证研究,在面向情报、监视与侦察(Intelligence,Surveillance,and Reconnaissance,ISR)、物资运输、医疗补给等14个应用场景的前沿技术识别结果显示,目标识别与跟踪算法设计、视觉系统与图像处理技术、任务规划技术、无线通信技术4项技术为该领域的前沿技术,验证了该识别方法的可行性与有效性。 展开更多
