Contemporary university students are confronted with multiple challenges,including academic pressure,employment anxiety,and interpersonal conflicts.Traditional approaches to heart-to-heart talks often exhibit limitati...Contemporary university students are confronted with multiple challenges,including academic pressure,employment anxiety,and interpersonal conflicts.Traditional approaches to heart-to-heart talks often exhibit limitations,such as“over-reliance on problem etiology”and“the marginalization of student agency,”which hinder their effectiveness in addressing students’individualized needs and enhancing the efficacy of counselors’work.Grounded in the solution-focused approach(SFA),this study employs a literature review methodology to systematically examine the core tenets of SFA-namely,its“solution-oriented perspective”and emphasis on“accumulating small changes”-as well as key techniques such as empowerment-oriented questioning and action reinforcement.Integrating these elements with the specific context of university counseling dialogues,the paper constructs a three-stage application framework encompassing“pre-session preparation,in-session implementation,and post-session follow-up.”This framework is designed to enhance the pertinence and effectiveness of heart-to-heart talks by clarifying conversation goals,focusing on student resources,detailing action steps,and reinforcing outcomes.It aims to provide counselors with actionable guidance while also offering interdisciplinary theoretical support for improving the quality of ideological and political education and mental health counseling in universities.Ultimately,the framework seeks to strengthen students’agency and autonomous problem-solving capabilities.展开更多

Plant development is a complex process influenced by exogenous and endogenous elements.A series of postembryonic developmental events is involved to form the final architecture and contend with the changing environmen...Plant development is a complex process influenced by exogenous and endogenous elements.A series of postembryonic developmental events is involved to form the final architecture and contend with the changing environment.MicroRNA（miRNA） is one of endogenous non-coding RNAs,which plays an important role in plant developmental regulation.In this review,we summarized 34 miRNA families that are closely associated with plant development.Among these families,nine are expressed only in specific organs,whereas 20 families are expressed in at least two different organs.It is known that some miRNAs are expressed across most processes of plant growth,while some appear only at particular developmental stages or under special environmental conditions such as drought,waterlogging and short-day time.These miRNAs execute their diverse functions by regulating developmental gene expression levels,interacting with phytohormone signaling response,participating in the biogenesis of ta-siRNAs and affecting the production of miRNAs.展开更多

After partial hepatectomy and some chemicals induced acute liver injury, existing hepatocytes can expand to repair the liver function. While adult liver stem/progenitor cells(LPCs) are evoked and differentiate into functional hepatocytes and cholangiocytes to compensate the damaged liver once hepatocyte proliferation is severely impaired. A number of evidences suggest that adjacent hepatic stellate cells(HSCs) or invading leukocytes may be involved in LPCs directed regeneration through governning two major events including fibrogenic and inflammatory responses respectively or simultaneously. As such, a microenvironment(or "niche") composed of different cell sources or factors presents diversity, which eventually mediates LPCs response to biliary or hepatocellular regeneration. This mini review aims at summarizing the latest development on the roles of HSCs, macrophages and lymphocytes as well as corresponding signaling pathways in liver progenitor cells mediated biliary and hepatocellular regeneration, and discussing therapeutic potential of liver progenitor cells in hepatic diseases.展开更多

Despite of the efforts of the negotiators and the support of the US administration, the goal of reaching a final status agreement between the two sides once again could not be achieved. Considering the complexity of the issues, the failure did not surprise most experts who follow the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The reasons are many, but no doubt, the main issue is the distrust between the two sides. The Palestinians, on the one hand, believe that Israel does not want to leave the West Bank and is pursuing the unilateral security policies implemented by Ariel Sharon and his successors after the Camp David talks in 2000. Israel, on the other hand, believes there is no partner on the Palestinian side, with its leadership divided and with Hamas showing no sign of recognizing Israel＇s very existence. Due to the distrust between them, the two parties are heavily dependent on US mediation. Accordingly, both sides restarted negotiations under pressure from the Barack Obama administration half heartedly. In addition to existing problems, Turkey＇s involvement in the conflict by challenging the Gaza embargo and by supporting Palestinians at the expense of Israel in the international arena jeopardized American efforts. So, the failure of the talks was no surprise for many and no doubt it will have considerable consequences for both sides, as the July War in Gaza proves. This article focuses on the limits of American mediation for building trust between the sides, the micro-reasons of the failure of the talks, the possible consequences of this failure, and Turkey＇s Palestinian policy as a further complicating factor.展开更多
