Methods The alarm system was composed of hardware and software. The hardware was composed of a master master computer and slave transmitters. On urgent ugent occasion, one or more of the transmitters transmitted alarm signals and the master computer received the signals; interruption, residence, graph and word processing were utilized in software to achieve multitiask data processing . Results The main computer can conduct precise and quick multitask data procesing in any condition so long as alarm signals are received. The processing speed is higher than ordinary alarm System. Conclusion The master computer can conduct safe and quick multitask data processing by way of reliable design of software and hardware , so there is no need of special processor. 展开更多

Due to the increasing demand for security, the development of intelligent surveillance systems has attracted considerable attention in recent years. This study aims to develop a system that is able to identify whether or not the people need help in a public place. Different from previous work, our work considers not only the behaviors of the target person but also the interaction between him and nearby people. In the paper, we propose an event alarm system which can detect the human behaviors and recognize the happening event through integrating the results generated from the single and group behavior analysis. Several new effective features are proposed in the study. Besides, a mechanism capable of extracting one-to-one and multiple-to-one relations is also developed. Experimental results show that the proposed approach can correctly detect human behaviors and provide the alarm messages when emergency events occur. 展开更多

A pioneering glass-compatible transparent temperature alarm system self-powered by luminescent solar concentrators(LSCs) is reported.Single green-emitted organic manganese halides(OMHs) of PEA_(2)MnBr_(2)I_(2),which has a unique temperature-dependent backward energy transfer process from selftrapped state to^(4)T_(1)energy level of Mn,is used for triggering the temperature alarm.The LSC with redemitted CsPbI_(3)perovskite-polymer composite films on the glass substrate is used for power supply.The spectrally separated nature between the green-emitted OMHs for temperature alarm and red-emitted CsPbI3in LSC for power supply allows for probing the signal light of temperature-responsive OMHs without the interference of LSCs,making it possible to calibrate the temperature visually just by a self-powered brightness detection circuit with LED indicators.Taking advantage of LSC without hot spot effects plaguing the solar cells,as-prepared temperature alarm system can operate well on both sunny and cloudy day. 展开更多

The algorithms of empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and wavelet packet characteristic entropy are adopted to determine the intrusion location. The intrusion alarm software based on the Labview is developed, and it is also proved by the experiments. Photovoltaic (PV) systems have attracted increasing attention in last years as well as Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), which have been used in many application fields. In PV plants, especially in ground installations, a lot of thefts and damages occur due to the still high cost of the modules. A new experimental WSN ad-hoc has been designed to be an anti-theft alarm system. Each node of the network is directly installed under each PV string and it is equipped with an accelerometer sensor capable to detect a minimum displacement of the panel from its steady position. The WSN presents a star topology: a master node cyclically interrogates the slave nodes through RF link. It collects all the nodes responses and communicates though a RS-232 interface with a control PC checking the network status. When a slave node detects an alarm, continuous messages are sent to the control PC which turns on all the alarm signaling systems. The control PC is equipped with an open source operative system and software and provides for SMS, e-mail and sound-light signaling in case of alarm. It also communicates with a remote server where all the WSN information is stored. A first low cost experimental WSN has been already installed and it is working properly. 展开更多

In this work a review of existing fire-detector types has been carried out along with the development of a low cost, portable, and reliable microcontroller based automated fire alarm system for remotely alerting any fire incidents in household or industrial premises. The aim of the system designed is to alert the distant property-owner efficiently and quickly by sending short message (SMS) via GSM network. A Linear integrated temperature sensor detects temperature beyond preset value whereas semiconductor type sensor detects presence of smoke or gas from fire hazards. The sensor units are connected via common data line to ATMega8L AVR microcontroller. A SIM300CZ GSM kit based network module, capable of operating in standard GSM bands, has been used to send alert messages. The system is implemented on printed circuit board (PCB) and tested under different experimental conditions to evaluate its performances. 展开更多

Process safety in chemical industries is considered to be one of the important goals towards sustainable development. This is due to the fact that, major accidents still occur and continue to exert significant reputational and financial impacts on process industries. Alarm systems constitute an indispensable component of automation as they draw the attention of process operators to any abnormal conditi on in the plant. Therefore, if deployed properly, alarm systems can play a critical role in helping plant operators ensure process safety and profitability. How-ever, in practice, many process plants suffer from poor alarm system configuration which leads to nuisance alarms and alarm floods that compromise safety. A vast amount of research has primarily focused on developing sophisticated alarm management algorithms to address specific issues. In this article, we provide a simple, practical, systematic approach that can be applied by plant engineers (i.e., non-experts) to improve industrial alarm system performance. The system adopts the narrow band internet of things communication technology, and can transmit the temperature, humidity, illumination and ammonia and other environ-mental data in the chicken house remotely through terminal collection unified interface device. Meantime, it realizes the control of fans, wet cur-tains, small windows and illumination in the chicken house by threshold method. The system software is designed and implemented by C#, SQL Server, WeX5 and other development tools, including platform terminal and enterprise terminal. Changing Places:On the Use of Utopia and the Role of a Place Alarm System

In the paper,the experience of contradictions and conflicts as a normal feature of social change and evolutionary trends,is discussed.Contradictions normally destabilize a system,causing dilemmas and conflicts.However,the paper warns against thinking of destabilization as dysfunctional,as complex systems require a high degree of instability to deal with changes in the environment.Dealing with instabilities requires systems,which can produce alarms that signal a need to regain additional options for development and introduce them into the planning process.The paper introduces the concept of a place alarm system,which uses visions and utopias in various forms for alarm purposes.To illustrate this kind of thinking,the paper first presents a model of an alarm system,which demonstrates how we can deal with contradictions by including the temporal dimension in our analyses of place systems and bring broader temporal horizons into consideration.As an example,contradictions increase when we consider the future from the perspective of the present;the present future multiplies contradictions.On the other hand,viewing the present from the future(future present),creates possibilities for goal-directed planning to avoid the problems,which have produced alarm signals.As the paper demonstrates,these two possibilities of what may be called reflexive and utopian temporal modalizations,are not given as alternatives,but mutually imply each other.The paper then presents two case illustrations,which demonstrate how to deal with conflict and contradictions to facilitate collective and goal-directed planning,using the alarm system framework.In both cases,we are witnessing place planning processes,which lack the necessary requisite variety(Ashby,1956)to deal effectively with the environmental complexity and internal conflicts facing the local communities.As indicated in the analyses,the present planning regimes do not promote variety and vitality regarding current place developments. 展开更多

One of the most important applications is the video monitoring system developed by new technology. Deploy an appropriate design of video monitoring system in the several fields such as public security, traffic schedule, systems control and so on, is a major technological medium which can guarantee not wasting an amount of manpower resource as well as keeping the system in a good running status. This article based on the preponderance of the Linux system, especially the character of open source of it. Combine the Linux system and some particular routers;designing a real-time and efficient video monitoring system. It’s functional and in the meantime it can discriminate abnormal information or the situation automatically and then raise the alarm. This system use matured B/S mode in software’s framework, which is also lightweight class. In addition, this system manages the expenses in hardware cost more commendably. 展开更多

Chemical warfare agents(CWAs)can cause significant harm to health and even death in a very short time even when inhaled in small amounts(~100 mg min/m^(3)).Detection equipment based on conventional techniques,including gas chromatography-mass spectrometry,Raman spectroscopy,fluorescence spectroscopy,and ion mobility spectrometry,have the disadvantages of high cost,long detection time,and high power consumption.Rapid,portable,and convenient equipment for target CWAs detection under interference is a challenge.In this study,we propose an alarm system comprising a multitype micro sensor array and a field-programmable gate array-based readout circuit for CWAs simulants detection.Under common volatile organic compound,temperature,and water vapor interference,the proposed multitype sensor-based detection system realizes an alarm function in less than 20 s with thresholds of 1 ppm dimethyl methylphosphonate(DMMP),4.6 ppm 2,2'-dichlorodiethyl ether(DCE),and 20 ppm SO_(2).Furthermore,the proposed detection system was evaluated outside the laboratory and passed the wilderness test,demonstrating its reliability in the atmosphere.We believe that the proposed alarm system will contribute to the development of intelligent,portable,low-cost,and anti-interference CWAs detection technology. 展开更多

There are multiple types of risks involved in the service of long-span railway bridges.Classical methods are difficult to provide targeted alarm information according to different situations of load anomalies and structural anomalies.To accurately alarm different risks of long-span railway bridges by structural health monitoring systems,this paper proposes a cross-cooperative alarm method using principal and secondary indicators during high-wind periods.It provides the prior criterion for monitoring systems under special conditions,defining the principal and secondary indicators,alarm levels,and thresholds based on the relationship between dynamic equilibrium equations and multiple linear regression analysis.Analysis of one-year monitoring data from a longspan railway cable-stayed bridge shows that the 10-min average cross-bridge wind speed(excitation indicator)can be selected as the principal indicator,while lateral displacement(response indicator)can serve as the secondary indicator.The threshold levels of the secondary indicator prioritize the safety of bridge operation(mainly aiming at the safety of trains traversing bridges),with values significantly lower than structural safety thresholds.This approach enhances alarm timeliness and effectively distinguishes between load anomalies,structural anomalies,and equipment failures.Consequently,it improves alarm accuracy and provides timely decision support for bridge maintenance,train traversing,and emergency treatment. 展开更多
