China’s agricultural modernization drive has made steady progress with great achievements.After six decades of development,China has reached the mid-stage of agricultural modernization.By the average pace of recent y...China’s agricultural modernization drive has made steady progress with great achievements.After six decades of development,China has reached the mid-stage of agricultural modernization.By the average pace of recent years,China is poised to attain agricultural and rural modernization by 2035,but progress will vary considerably across regions and sectors.A transition towards an agricultural powerhouse is the only path towards agricultural modernization.Being a large agricultural producer,China has yet to qualify as an agricultural powerhouse in terms of agricultural sufficiency,competitiveness,innovation,and sustainability.From the mid-and long-term perspective,our agricultural modernization should proceed in light of China’s rural reform experience,focusing on food security,agricultural industry,green transition,and agri-tech.With a regionally differentiated approach,China should aim to basically achieve agricultural and rural modernization in about 15 years and complete the transition towards an agricultural powerhouse in 20 years from 2020.展开更多

The coordinated development of industrialization, informatization, urbanization and agricultural modernization(hereinafter referred to as "Sihua") is not only a practical need but an important strategic direction of integrating urban-rural development and regional development in recent China, and it also provides a significant perspective for identifying problem regions and regional problems so as to improve the regional policies. This study mainly aims to: firstly, establish a comprehensive evaluation index system so as to explore the spatial pattern of coordinated development of Sihua in China at prefecture level; secondly, to develop an evaluation criteria system to identify the problem regions and regional problems from the perspective of coordinated development of Sihua. This paper comes first in the scientific community to evaluate the coordinated development state of Sihua in China at prefecture level and identify the problem regions and regional problems from the perspective of Sihua development by quantitative analysis. Based on correct understanding of the connotation and essence of agricultural modernization,according to the data in 2008 China Statistical Yearbook and the relevant literatures about eastern China,a total of 12 indic...Based on correct understanding of the connotation and essence of agricultural modernization,according to the data in 2008 China Statistical Yearbook and the relevant literatures about eastern China,a total of 12 indices are selected to construct the evaluation index system of agricultural modernization in eastern China by combining with its social development and following the principles of systematization,comprehensiveness,representativeness,legitimacy and comparability.Then,according to the decision-making rules of modern science,3 alternatives are put forward and max compatibility degree method is used to generate the optimization solution.Result shows that agricultural modernization in eastern China can be classified into three types.The first type is Shanghai;the second type includes Zhejiang,Jiangsu,Fujian and Shandong;and the third type is Jiangxi and Anhui.The evaluation result is in accord with the actual situation of agricultural development in eastern China.Finally,since there still needs improvement in capital investment,rural education,agricultural science and technology research,peasant training,and social and organizational structure,it is pointed out that we should optimize the investment agriculture,enhance support for science and technology,perfect the mechanism of "promoting agriculture development by industry and developing the township by the city",and accelerate the development of agricultural modernization in eastern China.展开更多

Based on the panel data(2005-2019)of cities(prefectures)in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle,we have developed an evaluation system for agricultural modernization and new-type urbanization that measures the develo...Based on the panel data(2005-2019)of cities(prefectures)in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle,we have developed an evaluation system for agricultural modernization and new-type urbanization that measures the development level of each city and applies the coupling and coordination model to calculate their coupling and combination levels.The results indicate that the level of comprehensive order parameters of agricultural modernization in various cities(prefectures)in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle generally displays an upward trend.The areas with high-degree agricultural modernization were mainly distributed in Chengdu from 2005 to 2010,and the center of agricultural modernization was shifted to western areas after 2010,with a stable upward trend in the level of comprehensive order parameters of new-type urbanization.In terms of coupling degree,there was an overall upward trend.Except for Nanchong and Dazhou,other cities(prefectures)progressed from“Undeveloped Coordination”to“Intermediate Coordination.”The imbalanced development of agricultural modernization and new-type urbanization continually improved,with the combination level increasing from“Low-Low”to“Medium-Medium.”展开更多

This study is to explore the dual effects of rural education in promoting the physical and mental health of adolescents and developing agricultural labor force in the Philippines.By analyzing the data of the Philippin...This study is to explore the dual effects of rural education in promoting the physical and mental health of adolescents and developing agricultural labor force in the Philippines.By analyzing the data of the Philippine Bureau of Statistics(PSA),the report of the Ministry of Education and the survey of the Asian Development Bank(ADB)from 2015 to 2022,and combining with 12 core documents,this paper summarized the data of the Ministry of Education.It reveals that rural education has significantly improved the health literacy of adolescents through curriculum and community interaction(education coverage increased from 48%in 2015 to 67%in 2021),while providing an average annual labor reserve of 15%for agricultural production.In spite of this,geographical isolation(30%of rural schools need to walk more than hour)and uneven distribution of resources(education expenditure per student in urban areas is 2.3 times that in rural areas)are still main constraints for the education effectiveness.Finally,this study proposes implementing the policy framework of"integration of agricultural education",integrating mental health services and vocational skills training,and establishing a cross-sectoral collaboration mechanism.展开更多

文摘Based on correct understanding of the connotation and essence of agricultural modernization,according to the data in 2008 China Statistical Yearbook and the relevant literatures about eastern China,a total of 12 indices are selected to construct the evaluation index system of agricultural modernization in eastern China by combining with its social development and following the principles of systematization,comprehensiveness,representativeness,legitimacy and comparability.Then,according to the decision-making rules of modern science,3 alternatives are put forward and max compatibility degree method is used to generate the optimization solution.Result shows that agricultural modernization in eastern China can be classified into three types.The first type is Shanghai;the second type includes Zhejiang,Jiangsu,Fujian and Shandong;and the third type is Jiangxi and Anhui.The evaluation result is in accord with the actual situation of agricultural development in eastern China.Finally,since there still needs improvement in capital investment,rural education,agricultural science and technology research,peasant training,and social and organizational structure,it is pointed out that we should optimize the investment agriculture,enhance support for science and technology,perfect the mechanism of "promoting agriculture development by industry and developing the township by the city",and accelerate the development of agricultural modernization in eastern China.
文摘With the Chinese reform and opening-up,especially when entering the 90s of the 20th century,the internationalization process of China's economy is accelerated constantly,and at the same time the modernization of China's agriculture is also accelerated constantly.It makes China's agriculture modernization under the background of internationalization.Therefore,the integration of China's agricultural modernization and internationalization becomes an inevitable choice in developing China's modem agriculture.This paper takes the practice of agricultural modernization and internationalization in the area of eastern Shandong province as a basis and uses Panel Data model to analyze the interact relationship between agricultural modernization and internationalization quantificationally with the data of the seven cities in the area of eastern Shandong.The result indicates that agricultural modernization and internationalization have the relationship of interact development.
文摘The inharmonious development of agricultural modernization and regional economy is a major cause to the imbalanced development of regional economy in China.The evaluation index system of modern agriculture is established according to the relevant data from Chinese Agricultural Yearbook 2009,China Rural Statistical Yearbook and China Statistical Yearbook.By using the Grey Relation Analysis,the developmental level of agricultural modernization of 31 provinces and cities in China is ranked and compared by combining the overall regional economic strength.The results show that the developmental level of agricultural modernization in each area of China is different;the agricultural modernization level of each area in China is inharmonious with the total economic strength;inharmonious characteristic is presented between agricultural modernization development and regional overall economy development in China.

文摘The "Two Leaps" put forward by Deng xiao-ping on agriculture are expounded in the paper. The first leap is from the people's commune to family land contract operation system. The weaknesses of people's commune and innovation of family land contract operation system are analyzed. It is pointed out that the family contact operation system is the expansion and development of collective economy. The second leap is to develop appropriate scale operation and collective economy. The shortages of family contract system are analyzed. It is put forward that realizing scale operation of agriculture is the necessary demand for production development and collective economy road is the inevitable way for realizing Chinese agricultural appropriate scale operation. "Two leaps" gives clears way of agricultural modernization:consolidating the thoughts of starting from the reality, insisting the guidance of the fundamental position of agriculture and further promoting agricultural development; persistently stabilizing and perfecting rural basic operation system and timely promote rural system innovation; stimulating the thought that science and technology is the prior productiveness and developing agricultural modernization in a better and faster way.
文摘The researches about agricultural modernization have been carried out a long time. Since the 16 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China( CPC),there have been fundamental changes in China's agricultural policies. The works of three rural issues with the development of modern agriculture rapidly became the main topic. The practice promoted researches of agricultural modernization in the connotation,characteristics,path selection,and indicator system construction. With the introduction of simultaneous development of " four modernizations" and coordinated development of " five modernizations",the theoretical researches of China's agricultural modernization have been provided with new connotations. In the existing achievements of " four modernizations" and " five modernizations" containing agricultural modernization,the characteristics,paths,indicator system and evaluation methods of agricultural modernization are constantly enriched. Through sorting out the theoretical achievements in the researches about agricultural modernization since the 16 th CPC National Congress of the CPC,this paper explored the new characteristics,new paths and new indicator system of agricultural modernization,to provide reference for the further transformation and upgrading of China's agriculture and the formulation of relevant policies.

文摘In this paper, we research on the Shaanxi urbanization and agricultural modernization coordinated development pattern based on the game theory. At present, the industrialization and the urbanization, agricultural modernization in our country obviously lags behind, which hindered the synchronous development of them. Therefore, with the internal relations between the empirical researches, we explore influence of industrialization and urbanization of agricultural modernization and path, to promote three synchronous developments which have important practical significance. Based on vector autoregressive model and game thinking, at the same time, we analysis the influence degree of the industrialization and urbanization of agricultural modernization and path in order to provide experience for the synchronous development of reference.

文摘Based on the panel data(2005-2019)of cities(prefectures)in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle,we have developed an evaluation system for agricultural modernization and new-type urbanization that measures the development level of each city and applies the coupling and coordination model to calculate their coupling and combination levels.The results indicate that the level of comprehensive order parameters of agricultural modernization in various cities(prefectures)in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle generally displays an upward trend.The areas with high-degree agricultural modernization were mainly distributed in Chengdu from 2005 to 2010,and the center of agricultural modernization was shifted to western areas after 2010,with a stable upward trend in the level of comprehensive order parameters of new-type urbanization.In terms of coupling degree,there was an overall upward trend.Except for Nanchong and Dazhou,other cities(prefectures)progressed from“Undeveloped Coordination”to“Intermediate Coordination.”The imbalanced development of agricultural modernization and new-type urbanization continually improved,with the combination level increasing from“Low-Low”to“Medium-Medium.”

文摘An important task of China's agricultural development is to achieve modernization in all respects.The rural revitalization strategy was first introduced in the report to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.This strategy now stands as the general guiding principle and central task of China's agricultural initiatives in the new era and serves as a pivotal move toward advancing agricultural modernization.Taking into consideration the current situation of China's agricultural development,the authors analyze the factors driving agricultural modernization and project the trajectory of agricultural modernization by 2035.The findings indicate that China has created a conducive institutional and development environment in production,consumption,,industry,science and technology,trade,etc.,thereby laying a solid foundation for its agricultural modernization.Projections suggest that by 2035,China will establish itself as the world's preeminent nation inagricultural lproductionnand consumption,a powerhouse in agricultural industrialization and agricultural product trading,and a leading country in agricultural science and technology.However,China still faces tremendous challenges in terms of consumption structures,quality requirements,industria1l development,format innovation,production methods,service functions,scientific and technological levels,and personnel structure.Therefore,on the path to agricultural modernization,China still needs to advance the structural reforms on the agricultural supply side,shift its agricultural production and operation methods,elevate its level of opening up in agriculture,and foster a deeper integration between urban and rural areas.
文摘This study is to explore the dual effects of rural education in promoting the physical and mental health of adolescents and developing agricultural labor force in the Philippines.By analyzing the data of the Philippine Bureau of Statistics(PSA),the report of the Ministry of Education and the survey of the Asian Development Bank(ADB)from 2015 to 2022,and combining with 12 core documents,this paper summarized the data of the Ministry of Education.It reveals that rural education has significantly improved the health literacy of adolescents through curriculum and community interaction(education coverage increased from 48%in 2015 to 67%in 2021),while providing an average annual labor reserve of 15%for agricultural production.In spite of this,geographical isolation(30%of rural schools need to walk more than hour)and uneven distribution of resources(education expenditure per student in urban areas is 2.3 times that in rural areas)are still main constraints for the education effectiveness.Finally,this study proposes implementing the policy framework of"integration of agricultural education",integrating mental health services and vocational skills training,and establishing a cross-sectoral collaboration mechanism.
