Among them, the finite element method presents more flexibility to deal with the irregularly shaped workpieces. However, it is very difficult to ensure the convergence of finite element numerical approach. This paper proposes an accurate model and a finite element numerical approach of cathode design based on the potential distribution in inter-electrode gap. In order to ensure the convergence of finite element numerical approach and increase the accuracy in cathode design, the cathode shape should be iterated to eliminate the design errors in computational process. Several experiments are conducted to verify the machining accuracy of the designed cathode. The experimental results have proven perfect convergence and good computing accuracy of the proposed finite element numerical approach by the high surface quality and dimensional accuracy of the machined blades.展开更多
While the traditional trajectory planning methods are used in robotic belt grinding of blades with an uneven machining allowance distribution, it is hard to obtain the preferable profile accuracy and surface quality t...While the traditional trajectory planning methods are used in robotic belt grinding of blades with an uneven machining allowance distribution, it is hard to obtain the preferable profile accuracy and surface quality to meet the high-performance requirements of aero-engine. To solve this problem, a novel trajectory planning method is proposed in this paper by considering the developed interpolation algorithm and the machining allowance threshold. The residual height error obtained from grinding experiments of titanium alloy sample was compensated to modify the calculation model of row spacing, and a new geometric algorithm was presented to dynamically calculate the cutter contact points based on this revised calculation model and the dichotomy method. Subsequently, the off-line machining program is generated based on a double-vector controlling method to obtain an optimal contact posture. On this basis, three sets of robotic grinding tests of titanium alloy blades were conducted to investigate the advantages of the proposed method.The comparative experimental results revealed that the presented algorithm had improved the surface profile accuracy of blade by 34.2% and 55.1%, respectively. Moreover, the average machined surface roughness was achieved to 0.3 μm and the machining efficiency was obviously promoted. It is concluded that this research work is beneficial to comprehensively improve the machined quality of blades in robotic belt grinding.展开更多

Two types of TC4 alloy experiments are conducted for the study on the damage accumulation law. All the parameters in the nonlinear damage model are obtained by the tension–compression fatigue tests, and the accuracy of the nonlinear damage model is verified by the damage tests. The strength degeneration model is put forward on the basis of the Chaboche nonlinear damage theory and the Griffith fracture criterion, and determined by measuring the fatigue toughness during the tests. From the comparison of two kinds of degeneration models based on the Miner’s linear law and the nonlinear damage model respectively, the nonlinear model has a significant advantage on prediction accuracy especially in the later period of life. A time-dependent SSI reliability model is established. By computing the stress distribution using the finite element (FE) technique, the reliability of a single blade during the whole service life is obtained. Considering the failure correlation of components, a modified reliability model of aero-engine blades with common cause failure (CCF) is presented. It shows a closer and more reasonable process with the actual working condition. The improved reliability model is illustrated to be applied to aero-engine blades well, and the approach purposed in this paper is suitable for any actual machinery component of aero-engine rotor systems.展开更多

Because GH4169 has a poor milling performance, the profile precision and surtace integrity of blades and integrated blisks are difficult to be met by utilizing the conventional milling process, which directly influence the global performance and reliability of aero-engines. Through grinding experiments on parameters and surface integrity optimization, the helical cantilever grinding process utilizing a 300# CBN RB wheel is presented and applied in finish machining of GH4169 blades. The profile errors of the blade surface are within ±0.01 mm, the roughness is less than 0.4μm, the residual compressive stresses and the hardening rate are appropriate, there are no phenomena of burr and smearing with the grinding chips, and the leading/trailing edge can be smoothly connected with the suction/pressure surface. All the experimental results indicate that this grinding process is greatly suitable for the profile finish machining of GH4169 blades.展开更多
Fatigue life and reliability of aero-engine blade are always of important significance to flight safety.The establishment of damage model is one of the key factors in blade fatigue research.Conventional linear Miner'...Fatigue life and reliability of aero-engine blade are always of important significance to flight safety.The establishment of damage model is one of the key factors in blade fatigue research.Conventional linear Miner's sum method is not suitable for aero-engine because of its low accuracy.A back propagation neutral network(BPNN) based on the combination of Levenberg-Marquardt(LM) and finite element method(FEM) is used to describe process of nonlinear damage accumulation behavior in material and predict fatigue life of the blade.Fatigue tests of standard specimen made from TC4 are carried out to obtain material fatigue parameters and S-N curve.A nonlinear continuum damage model(CDM),based on the BPNN with one hidden layer and ten neurons,is built to investigate the nonlinear damage accumulation behavior,in which the results from the tests are used as training set.Comparing with linear models and previous nonlinear models,BPNN has the lowest calculation error in full load range.It has significant accuracy when the load is below 500 MPa.Especially,when the load is 350 MPa,the calculation error of the BPNN is only 0.4%.The accurate model of the blade is built by using 3D coordinate measurement technology.The loading cycle in fatigue analysis is defined from takeoff to cruise in 10 min,and the load history is obtained from finite element analysis(FEA).Then the fatigue life of the compressor blade is predicted by using the BPNN model.The final fatigue life of the aero-engine blade is 6.55 104 cycles(10 916 h) based on the BPNN model,which is effective for the virtual design of aero-engine blade.展开更多

The existing methods for blade polishing mainly focus on robot polishing and manual grinding.Due to the difficulty in high-precision control of the polishing force,the blade surface precision is very low in robot poli...The existing methods for blade polishing mainly focus on robot polishing and manual grinding.Due to the difficulty in high-precision control of the polishing force,the blade surface precision is very low in robot polishing,in particular,quality of the inlet and exhaust edges can not satisfy the processing requirements.Manual grinding has low efficiency,high labor intensity and unstable processing quality,moreover,the polished surface is vulnerable to burn,and the surface precision and integrity are difficult to ensure.In order to further improve the profile accuracy and surface quality,a pneumatic flexible polishing force-exerting mechanism is designed and a dual-mode switching composite adaptive control(DSCAC) strategy is proposed,which combines Bang-Bang control and model reference adaptive control based on fuzzy neural network(MRACFNN) together.By the mode decision-making mechanism,Bang-Bang control is used to track the control command signal quickly when the actual polishing force is far away from the target value,and MRACFNN is utilized in smaller error ranges to improve the system robustness and control precision.Based on the mathematical model of the force-exerting mechanism,simulation analysis is implemented on DSCAC.Simulation results show that the output polishing force can better track the given signal.Finally,the blade polishing experiments are carried out on the designed polishing equipment.Experimental results show that DSCAC can effectively mitigate the influence of gas compressibility,valve dead-time effect,valve nonlinear flow,cylinder friction,measurement noise and other interference on the control precision of polishing force,which has high control precision,strong robustness,strong anti-interference ability and other advantages compared with MRACFNN.The proposed research achieves high-precision control of the polishing force,effectively improves the blade machining precision and surface consistency,and significantly reduces the surface roughness.展开更多

A hybrid reasoning model was prompted in which case-based reasoning (CBR) was applied to conceptual design and rule-based reasoning (RBR) was applied to parts design after research the design process and domain knowledge of casting die. In the conceptual design stage,a retrieval model which integrated nearest neighbor approach and knowledge-based retrieval approach was prompted to improve the retrieval efficiency. Meanwhile,RBR was used to modify the retrieval result. Spiral pile foundations,as a promising type of foundation,are of significant importance for the development of offshore wind energy,particularly as it moves toward deeper waters.This study conducted a physical experim...Spiral pile foundations,as a promising type of foundation,are of significant importance for the development of offshore wind energy,particularly as it moves toward deeper waters.This study conducted a physical experiment on a three-spiral-pile jacket foundation under deep-buried sandy soil conditions.During the experiment,horizontal displacement was applied to the structure to thoroughly investigate the bearing characteristics of the three-spiral-pile jacket foundation.This study also focused on analyzing the bearing mechanisms of conventional piles compared with spiral piles with different numbers of blades.Three different working conditions were set up and compared,and key data,such as the horizontal bearing capacity,pile shaft axial force,and spiral blade soil pressure,were measured and analyzed.The results show the distinct impacts of the spiral blades on the compressed and tensioned sides of the foundation.Specifically,on the compressed side,the spiral blades effectively enhance the restraint of the soil on the pile foundation,whereas on the tensioned side,an excessive number of spiral blades can negatively affect the structural tensile performance to some extent.This study also emphasizes that the addition of blades to the side of a single pile is the most effective method for increasing the bearing capacity of the foundation.This research aims to provide design insights into improving the bearing capacity of the foundation.展开更多
Active control of aero-engine turbine tip clearance is one of the best chances for engine performance uplift currently.To do that,the first requirement is real-time measurement of tip clearance in aero-engine working ...Active control of aero-engine turbine tip clearance is one of the best chances for engine performance uplift currently.To do that,the first requirement is real-time measurement of tip clearance in aero-engine working environment.However,turbine complexity makes it unlikely for tip clearance sensors to be loaded.In recognition of that,this paper proposed a model-based method for tip clearance measurement.Firstly,by considering previously wrongly neglected factors such as load deformation,a mathematical model to monitor dynamic tip clearance changes is built to improve calculation accuracy.Then,after clarifying the coupling relationship between engine models and tip clearance models,this paper builds a component-level mathematical model integrating dynamic characteristics of turbine tip clearance,which helps realize accurate measurement of tip clearance in working environment.How tip clearance affects turbine efficiency is studied afterwards and reported to aero-engine model,so as to mitigate performance difference between aero-engine model and real engines caused by turbine tip clearance.Lastly,by hardware-in-the-loop simulation,tip clearance model demonstrates 15.9%better accuracy than previously built models in terms of turbine centrifugal deformation calculation.As tip clearance measurement model takes averagely 0.34 ms in calculation,meeting the operation requirement,it proves to be an effective new way.展开更多

To facilitate the low-noise design of tandem lift bodies as applied in aeroengines and aircraft,the acoustic features of tandem blades are investigated by wind-tunnel experiments.This is further specialized for the ro...To facilitate the low-noise design of tandem lift bodies as applied in aeroengines and aircraft,the acoustic features of tandem blades are investigated by wind-tunnel experiments.This is further specialized for the rotating blades applied in contra-rotating open rotors under the concept of frozen-rotor.A 70-channel phased microphone array and nine high-precision free-field microphones are employed.The beamforming method,enhanced by a source filtering technique,is employed to locate noise sources,providing insights into the source patterns of blade-blade interaction noise concerning flow speed,blade spacing,and aft blade clipping.The results show the following:(A)Sources of tandem-blade noise exist in the form of concentrated source clusters,resulting in two major clusters:the mid-span interaction noise and the tip-induced noise.(B)These source clusters tend to separate as flow speed or blade spacing increases.(C)By increasing blade spacing,the band-pass filtered overall sound pressure level is reduced by 2.9 dB.(D)A two-phase noise suppression pattern is observed with blade clipping,resulting in a total reduction of 3.0 dB for the interaction noise through the removal of tip-induced noise sources and the replacement of mid-span noise sources.Based on these findings,suggestions concerning blade spacing and clipping are discussed.展开更多

Precise and quantitative measurement of soot particle emission plays an essential role in accurately assessing the combustion performance of aero-engine combustors and infrared signature levels in aircraft exhausts.Am...Precise and quantitative measurement of soot particle emission plays an essential role in accurately assessing the combustion performance of aero-engine combustors and infrared signature levels in aircraft exhausts.Among various intrusive or non-intrusive approaches for soot diagnostics,Laser-Induced Incandescence(LⅡ)technique has been increasingly applied for soot concentration measurement in various combustion environments such as laminar flames and internal combustion engines due to its high spatial resolution and sensitivity.As for LⅡmeasurement in aero-engine combustors,however,it normally suffers from very limited optical accesses and often faces mandatory requirements of oblique imaging from a small backward angle.In this work,we demonstrate a Two-Color(2C)LⅡsystem that simultaneously captures LⅡsignal images at two distinct wavelengths using a Scheimpflug imaging configuration.A projective transformation algorithm and image overlapping procedures were employed to spatially correct the raw Scheimpflug LⅡimages.Performance validation of the developed 2C-Scheimpflug LⅡsystem was first conducted under specified conditions in a laminar C_(2)H_(4)/air McKenna flame.The obtained Soot Volume Fraction(SVF)level and its spatial distribution are in consistent with previous studies under identical flame conditions reported by other research groups.Finally,as a demonstration of engineering benchmark application,we applied the developed 2C-Scheimpflug LⅡsystem to measure SVF distribution in the cross-section plane perpendicular to the direction of flame propagation at the exhaust of a single-sector dual-swirl aero-engine model combustor.Transient soot production events were observed and characteristics of the SVF distribution were investigated.These experimental results suggest the feasibility of the 2C-Scheimpflug LⅡtechnique developed in this work for precise and quantitative measurements of soot concentration in practical environments.展开更多
This paper analyzes the nonlinear dynamic characteristics and stability of Aero-Engine Dual-Rotor(AEDR)systems under high-frequency excitation,based on the Adaptive Harmonic Balance with the Asymptotic Harmonic Select...This paper analyzes the nonlinear dynamic characteristics and stability of Aero-Engine Dual-Rotor(AEDR)systems under high-frequency excitation,based on the Adaptive Harmonic Balance with the Asymptotic Harmonic Selection(AHB-AHS)method.A finite element dynamic equation for the AEDR system is introduced,considering complex nonlinearities of the intershaft bearing,unbalanced excitations,and high-frequency excitation.A solving strategy combining the AHB-AHS method and improved arclength continuation method is proposed to solve highdimensional dynamic equations containing complex nonlinearities and to track periodic solutions with parameter variations.The Floquet theory is used to analyze the types of bifurcation points in the system and the stability of periodic motions.The results indicate that high-frequency excitation can couple high-order and low-order modes,especially when the system undergoes superharmonic resonance.High-frequency excitation leads to more combination frequency harmonics,among which N_(f)ω_(1)-2ω_(2)dominates.Furthermore,changing the parameters(amplitude and frequency)of high-frequency excitation widens or shifts the unstable regions of the system.These findings contribute to understanding the mechanism of high-frequency excitation on aero-engines and demonstrate that the proposed AHB-AHS method is a powerful tool for analyzing highdimensional complex nonlinear dynamic systems under multi-frequency excitation.展开更多
This study investigates the forced vibration response of a two-row model of an Inlet Guide Vane(IGV)and rotor at resonance speed through numerical simulations.A resonant response prediction method based on equivalent ...This study investigates the forced vibration response of a two-row model of an Inlet Guide Vane(IGV)and rotor at resonance speed through numerical simulations.A resonant response prediction method based on equivalent damping balance has been validated,which ensures computational accuracy while reducing response calculation time to only 1%of the traditional transient response method.At resonance speed,unsteady pressure disturbances on the rotor blade surface mainly arise from two sources:IGV wakes and blade vibrations.The unsteady pressure caused by the IGV wakes provides excitation for the system,while the unsteady pressure caused by rotor blade vibrations provides damping.By studying the characteristics of unsteady pressure caused by IGV wakes and vibrations at resonance speed,a method for separating unsteady pressure caused by stator wakes and vibrations has been presented,accurately obtaining aerodynamic damping under multi-row resonance conditions.Compared to the aerodynamic damping obtained from multi-row scenarios without separating unsteady pressures caused by stator wakes and vibrations,and the traditional isolated blade row scheme,the aerodynamic damping considering the effects of multi-row and IGV wakes at resonance speed is smaller.Based on the separated unsteady pressures caused by IGV wakes and vibrations,and combined with the equivalent damping balance method for predicting forced response,a forced response analysis method considering both flow field disturbance excitation and damping effects has been established.展开更多
The turbine blades operate under high temperature and high pressure conditions,and when using radiation thermometry,the influence of radiation from surrounding blades leads to measurement errors.To address this issue,...The turbine blades operate under high temperature and high pressure conditions,and when using radiation thermometry,the influence of radiation from surrounding blades leads to measurement errors.To address this issue,this paper develops a three-dimensional discretized dynamic radiation transfer model based on the blade shape of the turbine.The relationship between the radiation angle coefficient of the surrounding blades and the rotation angle of the blade under test is analyzed.The radiation angle coefficient is calculated using the triangular element method,and temperature inversion is performed based on the effective emissivity to compute the measurement error.The results show that under dynamic high temperature conditions,the temperature measurement error caused by reflection at the selected 60%leaf height point varies with the rotation angle,and the maximum reaches 25.58K.The angular coefficient exhibits periodic fluctuations with changes in rotation angle,and the maximum effective emissivity increases as the rotation angle increases.As the blade height increases,the impact of reflected radiation on radiometric temperature measurement errors shows a decreasing trend.This study provides a reference for radiation thermometry in dynamic high-temperature environments.展开更多

In order to ensure the convergence of finite element numerical approach and increase the accuracy in cathode design, the cathode shape should be iterated to eliminate the design errors in computational process. Several experiments are conducted to verify the machining accuracy of the designed cathode. The experimental results have proven perfect convergence and good computing accuracy of the proposed finite element numerical approach by the high surface quality and dimensional accuracy of the machined blades.

文摘While the traditional trajectory planning methods are used in robotic belt grinding of blades with an uneven machining allowance distribution, it is hard to obtain the preferable profile accuracy and surface quality to meet the high-performance requirements of aero-engine. To solve this problem, a novel trajectory planning method is proposed in this paper by considering the developed interpolation algorithm and the machining allowance threshold. The residual height error obtained from grinding experiments of titanium alloy sample was compensated to modify the calculation model of row spacing, and a new geometric algorithm was presented to dynamically calculate the cutter contact points based on this revised calculation model and the dichotomy method. Subsequently, the off-line machining program is generated based on a double-vector controlling method to obtain an optimal contact posture. On this basis, three sets of robotic grinding tests of titanium alloy blades were conducted to investigate the advantages of the proposed method.The comparative experimental results revealed that the presented algorithm had improved the surface profile accuracy of blade by 34.2% and 55.1%, respectively. Moreover, the average machined surface roughness was achieved to 0.3 μm and the machining efficiency was obviously promoted. It is concluded that this research work is beneficial to comprehensively improve the machined quality of blades in robotic belt grinding.

文摘To comprehensively consider the effects of strength degeneration and failure correlation, an improved stress–strength interference (SSI) model is proposed to analyze the reliability of aeroengine blades with the fatigue failure mode. Two types of TC4 alloy experiments are conducted for the study on the damage accumulation law. All the parameters in the nonlinear damage model are obtained by the tension–compression fatigue tests, and the accuracy of the nonlinear damage model is verified by the damage tests. The strength degeneration model is put forward on the basis of the Chaboche nonlinear damage theory and the Griffith fracture criterion, and determined by measuring the fatigue toughness during the tests. From the comparison of two kinds of degeneration models based on the Miner’s linear law and the nonlinear damage model respectively, the nonlinear model has a significant advantage on prediction accuracy especially in the later period of life. A time-dependent SSI reliability model is established. By computing the stress distribution using the finite element (FE) technique, the reliability of a single blade during the whole service life is obtained. Considering the failure correlation of components, a modified reliability model of aero-engine blades with common cause failure (CCF) is presented. It shows a closer and more reasonable process with the actual working condition. The improved reliability model is illustrated to be applied to aero-engine blades well, and the approach purposed in this paper is suitable for any actual machinery component of aero-engine rotor systems.

文摘GH4169 is the main material for aero-cngine blades and integrated blisks. Because GH4169 has a poor milling performance, the profile precision and surtace integrity of blades and integrated blisks are difficult to be met by utilizing the conventional milling process, which directly influence the global performance and reliability of aero-engines. Through grinding experiments on parameters and surface integrity optimization, the helical cantilever grinding process utilizing a 300# CBN RB wheel is presented and applied in finish machining of GH4169 blades. The profile errors of the blade surface are within ±0.01 mm, the roughness is less than 0.4μm, the residual compressive stresses and the hardening rate are appropriate, there are no phenomena of burr and smearing with the grinding chips, and the leading/trailing edge can be smoothly connected with the suction/pressure surface. All the experimental results indicate that this grinding process is greatly suitable for the profile finish machining of GH4169 blades.

文摘Fatigue life and reliability of aero-engine blade are always of important significance to flight safety.The establishment of damage model is one of the key factors in blade fatigue research.Conventional linear Miner's sum method is not suitable for aero-engine because of its low accuracy.A back propagation neutral network(BPNN) based on the combination of Levenberg-Marquardt(LM) and finite element method(FEM) is used to describe process of nonlinear damage accumulation behavior in material and predict fatigue life of the blade.Fatigue tests of standard specimen made from TC4 are carried out to obtain material fatigue parameters and S-N curve.A nonlinear continuum damage model(CDM),based on the BPNN with one hidden layer and ten neurons,is built to investigate the nonlinear damage accumulation behavior,in which the results from the tests are used as training set.Comparing with linear models and previous nonlinear models,BPNN has the lowest calculation error in full load range.It has significant accuracy when the load is below 500 MPa.Especially,when the load is 350 MPa,the calculation error of the BPNN is only 0.4%.The accurate model of the blade is built by using 3D coordinate measurement technology.The loading cycle in fatigue analysis is defined from takeoff to cruise in 10 min,and the load history is obtained from finite element analysis(FEA).Then the fatigue life of the compressor blade is predicted by using the BPNN model.The final fatigue life of the aero-engine blade is 6.55 104 cycles(10 916 h) based on the BPNN model,which is effective for the virtual design of aero-engine blade.

文摘Fan blade off(FBO) from a running turbofan rotor will introduce sudden unbalance into the dynamical system,which will lead to the rub-impact,the asymmetry of rotor and a series of interesting dynamic behavior.The paper first presents a theoretical study on the response excited by sudden unbalance.The results reveal that the reaction force of the bearing located near the fan could always reach a very high value which may lead to the crush of ball,journal sticking,high stress on the other components and some other failures to endanger the safety of engine in FBO event.Therefore,the dynamic influence of a safety design named ‘‘fusing" is investigated by mechanism analysis.Meantime,an explicit FBO model is established to simulate the FBO event,and evaluate the effectiveness and potential dynamic influence of fusing design.The results show that the fusing design could reduce the vibration amplitude of rotor,the reaction force on most bearings and loads on mounts,but the sudden change of support stiffness induced by fusing could produce an impact effect which will couple with the influence of sudden unbalance.Therefore,the implementation of the design should be considered carefully with optimized parameters in actual aero-engine.

文摘As a result of the recently increasing demands on high-performance aero-engine,the machining accuracy of blade profile is becoming more stringent. However,in the current profile,precision milling,grinding or near-netshape technology has to undergo a tedious iterative error compensation. Thus,if the profile error area and boundary can be determined automatically and quickly,it will help to improve the efficiency of subsequent re-machining correction process. To this end,an error boundary intersection approach is presented aiming at the error area determination of complex profile,including the phaseⅠof cross sectional non-rigid registration based on the minimum error area and the phaseⅡof boundary identification based on triangular meshes intersection. Some practical cases are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed approach.

文摘The existing methods for blade polishing mainly focus on robot polishing and manual grinding.Due to the difficulty in high-precision control of the polishing force,the blade surface precision is very low in robot polishing,in particular,quality of the inlet and exhaust edges can not satisfy the processing requirements.Manual grinding has low efficiency,high labor intensity and unstable processing quality,moreover,the polished surface is vulnerable to burn,and the surface precision and integrity are difficult to ensure.In order to further improve the profile accuracy and surface quality,a pneumatic flexible polishing force-exerting mechanism is designed and a dual-mode switching composite adaptive control(DSCAC) strategy is proposed,which combines Bang-Bang control and model reference adaptive control based on fuzzy neural network(MRACFNN) together.By the mode decision-making mechanism,Bang-Bang control is used to track the control command signal quickly when the actual polishing force is far away from the target value,and MRACFNN is utilized in smaller error ranges to improve the system robustness and control precision.Based on the mathematical model of the force-exerting mechanism,simulation analysis is implemented on DSCAC.Simulation results show that the output polishing force can better track the given signal.Finally,the blade polishing experiments are carried out on the designed polishing equipment.Experimental results show that DSCAC can effectively mitigate the influence of gas compressibility,valve dead-time effect,valve nonlinear flow,cylinder friction,measurement noise and other interference on the control precision of polishing force,which has high control precision,strong robustness,strong anti-interference ability and other advantages compared with MRACFNN.The proposed research achieves high-precision control of the polishing force,effectively improves the blade machining precision and surface consistency,and significantly reduces the surface roughness.
文摘To solve the problems in turbine blade investment casting die design process such as long design time,lacking of expert experience and low level of intelligence,knowledge-based engineering (KBE) was introduced in the turbine blade investment casting die design field. The key technologies of the intelligent design method were researched and a prototype system was developed. A hybrid reasoning model was prompted in which case-based reasoning (CBR) was applied to conceptual design and rule-based reasoning (RBR) was applied to parts design after research the design process and domain knowledge of casting die. In the conceptual design stage,a retrieval model which integrated nearest neighbor approach and knowledge-based retrieval approach was prompted to improve the retrieval efficiency. Meanwhile,RBR was used to modify the retrieval result. The practical application results indicate that this system can reuse the expert experience efficiently and heighten the die design efficiency and quality.

文摘Spiral pile foundations,as a promising type of foundation,are of significant importance for the development of offshore wind energy,particularly as it moves toward deeper waters.This study conducted a physical experiment on a three-spiral-pile jacket foundation under deep-buried sandy soil conditions.During the experiment,horizontal displacement was applied to the structure to thoroughly investigate the bearing characteristics of the three-spiral-pile jacket foundation.This study also focused on analyzing the bearing mechanisms of conventional piles compared with spiral piles with different numbers of blades.Three different working conditions were set up and compared,and key data,such as the horizontal bearing capacity,pile shaft axial force,and spiral blade soil pressure,were measured and analyzed.The results show the distinct impacts of the spiral blades on the compressed and tensioned sides of the foundation.Specifically,on the compressed side,the spiral blades effectively enhance the restraint of the soil on the pile foundation,whereas on the tensioned side,an excessive number of spiral blades can negatively affect the structural tensile performance to some extent.This study also emphasizes that the addition of blades to the side of a single pile is the most effective method for increasing the bearing capacity of the foundation.This research aims to provide design insights into improving the bearing capacity of the foundation.

文摘Active control of aero-engine turbine tip clearance is one of the best chances for engine performance uplift currently.To do that,the first requirement is real-time measurement of tip clearance in aero-engine working environment.However,turbine complexity makes it unlikely for tip clearance sensors to be loaded.In recognition of that,this paper proposed a model-based method for tip clearance measurement.Firstly,by considering previously wrongly neglected factors such as load deformation,a mathematical model to monitor dynamic tip clearance changes is built to improve calculation accuracy.Then,after clarifying the coupling relationship between engine models and tip clearance models,this paper builds a component-level mathematical model integrating dynamic characteristics of turbine tip clearance,which helps realize accurate measurement of tip clearance in working environment.How tip clearance affects turbine efficiency is studied afterwards and reported to aero-engine model,so as to mitigate performance difference between aero-engine model and real engines caused by turbine tip clearance.Lastly,by hardware-in-the-loop simulation,tip clearance model demonstrates 15.9%better accuracy than previously built models in terms of turbine centrifugal deformation calculation.As tip clearance measurement model takes averagely 0.34 ms in calculation,meeting the operation requirement,it proves to be an effective new way.
文摘Aero-engine blade-off event could cause serious malfunction and endanger flight safety,which is an important issue widely concerned for a long period.This paper presents a comprehensive review on the regulation requirements,the major research methods and status at home and abroad.Firstly,the relevant certification regulations and standards about aero-engine structure safety due to blade-off event were overviewed and the research gaps between the abroad and the domestic were compared.Then,the simulation and experimental methodologies on aero-engine supporting structures undertake abnormal load due to blade-off event were discussed as major issue.Finally,the safety certification verification technology system for aero-engine support structures during blade-off event was proposed.

文摘To facilitate the low-noise design of tandem lift bodies as applied in aeroengines and aircraft,the acoustic features of tandem blades are investigated by wind-tunnel experiments.This is further specialized for the rotating blades applied in contra-rotating open rotors under the concept of frozen-rotor.A 70-channel phased microphone array and nine high-precision free-field microphones are employed.The beamforming method,enhanced by a source filtering technique,is employed to locate noise sources,providing insights into the source patterns of blade-blade interaction noise concerning flow speed,blade spacing,and aft blade clipping.The results show the following:(A)Sources of tandem-blade noise exist in the form of concentrated source clusters,resulting in two major clusters:the mid-span interaction noise and the tip-induced noise.(B)These source clusters tend to separate as flow speed or blade spacing increases.(C)By increasing blade spacing,the band-pass filtered overall sound pressure level is reduced by 2.9 dB.(D)A two-phase noise suppression pattern is observed with blade clipping,resulting in a total reduction of 3.0 dB for the interaction noise through the removal of tip-induced noise sources and the replacement of mid-span noise sources.Based on these findings,suggestions concerning blade spacing and clipping are discussed.

文摘The original monitoring data from aero-engines possess characteristics such as high dimen-sionality,strong noise,and imbalance,which present substantial challenges to traditional anomalydetection methods.In response,this paper proposes a method based on Fuzzy Fusion of variablesand Discriminant mapping of features for Clustering(FFD-Clustering)to detect anomalies in originalmonitoring data from Aircraft Communication Addressing and Reporting System(ACARS).Firstly,associated variables are fuzzily grouped to extract the underlying distribution characteristics and trendsfrom the data.Secondly,a multi-layer contrastive denoising-based feature Fusion Encoding Network(FEN)is designed for each variable group,which can construct representative features for each variablegroup through eliminating strong noise and complex interrelations between variables.Thirdly,a featureDiscriminative Mapping Network(DMN)based on reconstruction difference re-clustering is designed,which can distinguish dissimilar feature vectors when mapping representative features to a unified fea-ture space.Finally,the K-means clustering is used to detect the abnormal feature vectors in the unifiedfeature space.Additionally,the algorithm is capable of reconstructing identified abnormal vectors,thereby locating the abnormal variable groups.The performance of this algorithm was tested ontwo public datasets and real original monitoring data from four aero-engines'ACARS,demonstratingits superiority and application potential in aero-engine anomaly detection.

文摘By using fatigue crack propagation testing and microstructural characterization,the crack fracture and propagation mechanisms of K4169 superalloy under various loads were investigated.The results demonstrate that the grain sizes of K4169 superalloy significantly increase,and the precipitation of the needle-likeδphase and the Laves phase is observed.Voids and microcracks form at location of Laves phase enrichment,creating conditions for crack propagation.By the a−N(a is the crack length,and N is the number of cycles)relationship curve,the change in the fatigue crack growth rate with the increasing number of cycles progresses through three separate stages.The fracture process of K4169 superalloy under low-stress cyclic loading(3 kN)exhibits the ductile fracture.Subsequently,the fracture process starts to change from the ductile fracture to the brittle fracture as the stress increases to 4.5 kN.In the microstructures of fractures in both stress states,intergranular propagation is the mechanism responsible for crack propagation.Moreover,the Laves phase exists near the fracture crack,which is in line with the post-service structural phenomenon.

文摘Precise and quantitative measurement of soot particle emission plays an essential role in accurately assessing the combustion performance of aero-engine combustors and infrared signature levels in aircraft exhausts.Among various intrusive or non-intrusive approaches for soot diagnostics,Laser-Induced Incandescence(LⅡ)technique has been increasingly applied for soot concentration measurement in various combustion environments such as laminar flames and internal combustion engines due to its high spatial resolution and sensitivity.As for LⅡmeasurement in aero-engine combustors,however,it normally suffers from very limited optical accesses and often faces mandatory requirements of oblique imaging from a small backward angle.In this work,we demonstrate a Two-Color(2C)LⅡsystem that simultaneously captures LⅡsignal images at two distinct wavelengths using a Scheimpflug imaging configuration.A projective transformation algorithm and image overlapping procedures were employed to spatially correct the raw Scheimpflug LⅡimages.Performance validation of the developed 2C-Scheimpflug LⅡsystem was first conducted under specified conditions in a laminar C_(2)H_(4)/air McKenna flame.The obtained Soot Volume Fraction(SVF)level and its spatial distribution are in consistent with previous studies under identical flame conditions reported by other research groups.Finally,as a demonstration of engineering benchmark application,we applied the developed 2C-Scheimpflug LⅡsystem to measure SVF distribution in the cross-section plane perpendicular to the direction of flame propagation at the exhaust of a single-sector dual-swirl aero-engine model combustor.Transient soot production events were observed and characteristics of the SVF distribution were investigated.These experimental results suggest the feasibility of the 2C-Scheimpflug LⅡtechnique developed in this work for precise and quantitative measurements of soot concentration in practical environments.

文摘This paper analyzes the nonlinear dynamic characteristics and stability of Aero-Engine Dual-Rotor(AEDR)systems under high-frequency excitation,based on the Adaptive Harmonic Balance with the Asymptotic Harmonic Selection(AHB-AHS)method.A finite element dynamic equation for the AEDR system is introduced,considering complex nonlinearities of the intershaft bearing,unbalanced excitations,and high-frequency excitation.A solving strategy combining the AHB-AHS method and improved arclength continuation method is proposed to solve highdimensional dynamic equations containing complex nonlinearities and to track periodic solutions with parameter variations.The Floquet theory is used to analyze the types of bifurcation points in the system and the stability of periodic motions.The results indicate that high-frequency excitation can couple high-order and low-order modes,especially when the system undergoes superharmonic resonance.High-frequency excitation leads to more combination frequency harmonics,among which N_(f)ω_(1)-2ω_(2)dominates.Furthermore,changing the parameters(amplitude and frequency)of high-frequency excitation widens or shifts the unstable regions of the system.These findings contribute to understanding the mechanism of high-frequency excitation on aero-engines and demonstrate that the proposed AHB-AHS method is a powerful tool for analyzing highdimensional complex nonlinear dynamic systems under multi-frequency excitation.

文摘This study investigates the forced vibration response of a two-row model of an Inlet Guide Vane(IGV)and rotor at resonance speed through numerical simulations.A resonant response prediction method based on equivalent damping balance has been validated,which ensures computational accuracy while reducing response calculation time to only 1%of the traditional transient response method.At resonance speed,unsteady pressure disturbances on the rotor blade surface mainly arise from two sources:IGV wakes and blade vibrations.The unsteady pressure caused by the IGV wakes provides excitation for the system,while the unsteady pressure caused by rotor blade vibrations provides damping.By studying the characteristics of unsteady pressure caused by IGV wakes and vibrations at resonance speed,a method for separating unsteady pressure caused by stator wakes and vibrations has been presented,accurately obtaining aerodynamic damping under multi-row resonance conditions.Compared to the aerodynamic damping obtained from multi-row scenarios without separating unsteady pressures caused by stator wakes and vibrations,and the traditional isolated blade row scheme,the aerodynamic damping considering the effects of multi-row and IGV wakes at resonance speed is smaller.Based on the separated unsteady pressures caused by IGV wakes and vibrations,and combined with the equivalent damping balance method for predicting forced response,a forced response analysis method considering both flow field disturbance excitation and damping effects has been established.
文摘The turbine blades operate under high temperature and high pressure conditions,and when using radiation thermometry,the influence of radiation from surrounding blades leads to measurement errors.To address this issue,this paper develops a three-dimensional discretized dynamic radiation transfer model based on the blade shape of the turbine.The relationship between the radiation angle coefficient of the surrounding blades and the rotation angle of the blade under test is analyzed.The radiation angle coefficient is calculated using the triangular element method,and temperature inversion is performed based on the effective emissivity to compute the measurement error.The results show that under dynamic high temperature conditions,the temperature measurement error caused by reflection at the selected 60%leaf height point varies with the rotation angle,and the maximum reaches 25.58K.The angular coefficient exhibits periodic fluctuations with changes in rotation angle,and the maximum effective emissivity increases as the rotation angle increases.As the blade height increases,the impact of reflected radiation on radiometric temperature measurement errors shows a decreasing trend.This study provides a reference for radiation thermometry in dynamic high-temperature environments.

文摘Blades are important parts of rotating machinery such as marine gas turbines and wind turbines,which are exposed to harsh environments during mechanical operations,including centrifugal loads,aerodynamic forces,or high temperatures.These demanding working conditions considerably influence the dynamic performance of blades.Therefore,because of the challenges posed by blades in complex working environments,in-depth research and optimization are necessary to ensure that blades can operate safely and efficiently,thus guaranteeing the reliability and performance of mechanical systems.Focusing on the vibration analysis of blades in rotating machinery,this paper conducts a comprehensive literature review on the research advancements in vibration modeling and structural optimization of blades under complex operational conditions.First,the paper outlines the development of several modeling theories for rotating blades,including one-dimensional beam theory,two-dimensional plate-shell theory,and three-dimensional solid theory.Second,the research progress in the vibrational analysis of blades under aerodynamic loads,thermal environments,and crack factors is separately discussed.Finally,the developments in rotating blade structural optimization are presented from material optimization and shape optimization perspectives.The methodology and theory of analyzing and optimizing blade vibration characteristics under multifactorial operating conditions are comprehensively outlined,aiming to assist future researchers in proposing more effective and practical approaches for the vibration analysis and optimization of blades.
