The construction of rural cultural auditorium is conducive to gathering local popularity,excavating history and continuing civilization,and it has become a powerful driving force for cultural revitalization in rural r...The construction of rural cultural auditorium is conducive to gathering local popularity,excavating history and continuing civilization,and it has become a powerful driving force for cultural revitalization in rural revitalization.However,the development of"Rural Cultural Auditorium"encountered many problems so far.From the perspective of rural cultural revitalization,and under the background of the new socialist rural cultural construction in China,this paper takes the rural cultural auditorium as the topic.The field questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview were constructed in Village A and Village B of Zhejiang Province,.SPSS software is used to analyze the collected questionnaire data.On the basis of combing related concepts and theories,it summs up the problems of"rural cultural auditorium",such as the existence of cultural auditorium,low participation rate of cultural auditorium activities,poor information communication,etc.Through visiting and investigating,going deep into the local area,according solutions are put forward such as increasing content diversity,paying attention to publicity and increasing interaction,so as to promote the healthy and sustainable development of rural cultural auditorium.It is hoped that this paper will explore the significance of the construction of rural cultural auditorium to the revitalization of rural culture in China,and put forward ideas on how to further build rural cultural auditorium,so as to provide reference for rural cultural construction services.展开更多

In the application, this paper will mainly look at transmission loss, reverberation, disruption of the performers, and differences between different frequencies. Established in 1909, Tsinghua Co[lege was built on the base of a royal garden, and developed into a modern university through campus designs produced by Henry Murphy. The Auditorium, one of the Four Grand Buildings du...Established in 1909, Tsinghua Co[lege was built on the base of a royal garden, and developed into a modern university through campus designs produced by Henry Murphy. The Auditorium, one of the Four Grand Buildings during Tsinghua＇s formative times, was a significant part of early construction and has become a symbol of the school. However, no thorough measuring work has ever been done to it since its completion in 1921. This paper delves into archives with combination of field survey and measurement, aiming to better understand the historical background in which the construction of the Auditorium was embedded, and technological and structural features of the Auditorium. Though the Guastavino system was indicated in the original design drawn by Murphy, concrete shell was applied in the end. The first part combs up the intellectual origins and precedents of the campus planning by Henry Murphy. As the dome is a focal point of the study, a brief course on the history of dome construction in the West is needed. The third part, based upon field measurement in July 2013, compares the actual dome with its original design featured by the Guastavino method, deducing possible reasons that resulted in the differences, including architect＇s unfamiliarity with Guastavino Company and its parameters, considerations about cost, and local construction tradition.展开更多

The importance of early sound, i.e., the direct sound and the first reflections, has long been recognized in auditorium design, but the distributions of early sound in auditorium received less investigation in the pas...The importance of early sound, i.e., the direct sound and the first reflections, has long been recognized in auditorium design, but the distributions of early sound in auditorium received less investigation in the past. As we know, the early sound level in the audience area varies not only with the source/receiver distance and room constant, but also related with the room geometry, the absorption arrangement and the location of the source and receiver. The early reflections are of discrete components, so it can not be predicted by the diffused field theory. This paper presents the results of measurement in four halls showing the attenuation rates of early sound level with the source/receiver distance are often much larger than the theoretical predictions. Therefore, they may give overestimated results in acoustical design.展开更多
