The practical ATO optimal control strategy must consider many goals of the train operation, such as safety, accuracy, comfort, energy saving and so on. This paper designs a set of efficient and universal multi-objective control strategy. Firstly, based on the analysis of urban rail transit and its operating environment, the multi-objective optimization model considering all the indexes of train operation is established by using multi-objective optimization theory. Secondly, Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II(NSGA-II) is used to solve the model, and the optimal speed curve of train running is generated.Finally, the intelligent controller is designed by the combination of fuzzy controller algorithm and the predictive control algorithm, which can control and optimize the train operation in real time. Then the robustness of the control system can ensure and the requirements for multi-objective in train operation can be satisfied.展开更多

To improve the effi...Despite the recent development in radiometric dating of numerous zircons by LA-ICPMS, mineral separation still remains a major obstacle, particularly in the search for the oldest material on Earth. To improve the efficiency in zircon separation by an order of magnitude, we have designed/developed a new machine-an automatic zircon separator(AZS). This is designed particularly for automatic pick-up of100 μm-sized zircon grains out of a heavy mineral fraction after conventional separation procedures. The AZS operates in three modes:(1) image processing to choose targeted individual zircon grains out of all heavy minerals spread on a tray,(2) automatic capturing of the individual zircon grains with microtweezers, and(3) placing them one-by-one in a coordinated alignment on a receiving tray. The automatic capturing was designed/created for continuous mineral selecting without human presence for many hours. This software also enables the registration of each separated zircon grain for dating, by recording digital photo-image, optical(color) indices, and coordinates on a receiving tray. We developed two new approaches for the dating; i.e.(1) direct dating of zircons selected by LA-ICPMS without conventional resin-mounting/polishing,(2) high speed U-Pb dating, combined with conventional sample preparation procedures using the new equipment with multiple-ion counting detectors(LA-MIC-ICPMS).With the first approach, Pb-Pb ages obtained from the surface of a mineral were crosschecked with the interior of the same grain after resin-mounting/polishing. With the second approach, the amount of time required for dating one zircon grain is ca. 20 s, and a sample throughput of 〉150 grains per hour can be achieved with sufficient precision(ca. 0.5%).We tested the practical efficiency of the AZS, by analyzing an Archean Jack Hills conglomerate in Western Australia with the known oldest(〉4.3 Ga) zircon on Earth. Preliminary results are positive; we were able to obtain more than 194 zircons that are over 4.0 Ga out of ca. 3800 checked grains, and 9 grains were over 4300 Ma with the oldest at 4371 ± 7 Ma. This separation system by AZS, combined with the new approaches, guarantees much higher yield in the hunt for old zircons.展开更多

This paper introduced a kind of structure and basic principle of DSP-based automatic excitation regulator, which was applied to rural small generator. We chose TMS320LF2407A chip as the core of regulator control system; the regulator adjusted PWM based on PID control strategy to control the exciting current. The theoretical analysis showed that the regulator had the characteristics of simplicity and reliability, well dynamic and static characteristics, and it could also adjust its own state quickly. This method is verified through the comparison of actual detecting data with statistical analysis. The results show that the proposed automatic scaling method has high acceptable rate and is suitable for scaling oblique ionogram with different high angle wave states. It is fast and precise to fit O-mode echoes in F2 layer without the influence from F1 layer. Power systems are pivotal in providing sustainable energy across various sectors.However,optimizing their performance to meet modern demands remains a significant challenge.This paper introduces an innovative strategy...Power systems are pivotal in providing sustainable energy across various sectors.However,optimizing their performance to meet modern demands remains a significant challenge.This paper introduces an innovative strategy to improve the opti-mization of PID controllers within nonlinear oscillatory Automatic Generation Control(AGC)systems,essential for the stability of power systems.Our approach aims to reduce the integrated time squared error,the integrated time absolute error,and the rate of change in deviation,facilitating faster convergence,diminished overshoot,and decreased oscillations.By incorporating the spiral model from the Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA)into the Multi-Objective Marine Predator Algorithm(MOMPA),our method effectively broadens the diversity of solution sets and finely tunes the balance between exploration and exploitation strategies.Furthermore,the QQSMOMPA framework integrates quasi-oppositional learning and Q-learning to overcome local optima,thereby generating optimal Pareto solutions.When applied to nonlinear AGC systems featuring governor dead zones,the PID controllers optimized by QQSMOMPA not only achieve 14%reduction in the frequency settling time but also exhibit robustness against uncertainties in load disturbance inputs.展开更多
A method was developed for the detection of seven microcystins(microcystin-LR, RR, YR, LA, LY, LW and LF) in surface water using automatic solid-phase extraction(A-SPE) coupled with ultra-performance liquid chromatogr...A method was developed for the detection of seven microcystins(microcystin-LR, RR, YR, LA, LY, LW and LF) in surface water using automatic solid-phase extraction(A-SPE) coupled with ultra-performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS/MS). The automated solid-phase extraction system was used to extract microcystins(MCs) from water samples. UPLC-MS/MS was used to determine MCs concentrations in just 5 min. Method detection limits were from 0.3 to 0.9 ng/L, microcystin recoveries ranged from 83.8% to 114%, and the relative standard deviation(RSD) varied from 5.6% to 12.5%. This analytical approach was found to be simple, highly sensitive, accurate, which required little manual operation. Additionally, to validate this analytical method, A-SPE+UPLC-MS/MS was applied to characterize the concentration of MCs in Taihu Lake, Wuxi, China.展开更多

The detected failures could be mechanical or electrical origins, such as: problems in bearings, unwanted vibrations, partial discharges, misalignment, unbalancing, among others. It is possible because the generator acts as a transducer for mechanical problems, and they appear in current and voltage signals.
