As living standards improve,the demand for artworks has been escalating,transcending beyond the realm of mere basic human necessities.However,amidst an extensive array of artwork choices,users often struggle to swiftl...As living standards improve,the demand for artworks has been escalating,transcending beyond the realm of mere basic human necessities.However,amidst an extensive array of artwork choices,users often struggle to swiftly and accurately identify their preferred piece.In such scenarios,a recommendation system can be invaluable,assisting users in promptly pinpointing the desired artworks for better service design.Despite the escalating demand for artwork recommendation systems,current research fails to adequately meet these needs.Predominantly,existing artwork recommendation methodologies tend to disregard users’implicit interests,thereby overestimating their capability to articulate their preferences in full and often neglecting the nuances of their diverse interests.In response to these challenges,we have developed a weighted artwork correlation graph and put forth an embedding-based keyword-driven artwork search and recommendation methodology.Our approach transforms the keywords that delineate user interests into word embedding vectors.This allows for an effective distinction between the user’s core and peripheral interests.Subsequently,we employ a dynamic programming algorithm to extract artworks from the correlation graph,thereby obtaining artworks that align with the user’s explicit keywords and implicit interests.We have conducted an array of experiments using real-world datasets to validate our approach.The results attest to the superiority of our method in terms of its efficacy in searching and recommending artworks.展开更多
With the ever-increasing diversification of people’s interests and preferences,artwork has become one of the most popular commodities or investment goods in E-commerce,and it increasingly attracts the attention of th...With the ever-increasing diversification of people’s interests and preferences,artwork has become one of the most popular commodities or investment goods in E-commerce,and it increasingly attracts the attention of the public.Currently,many real-world or virtual artworks can be found in E-commerce,and finding a means to recommend them to appropriate users has become a significant task to alleviate the heavy burden on artwork selection decisions by users.Existing research mainly studies the problem of single-artwork recommendation while neglecting the more practical but more complex composite recommendation of artworks in E-commerce,which considerably influences the quality of experience of potential users,especially when they need to select a set of artworks instead of a single artwork.Inspired by this limitation,we put forward a novel composite recommendation approach to artworks by a user keyword-driven correlation graph search named ART_(com-rec).Through ART_(com-rec),the recommender system can output a set of artworks(e.g.,an artwork composite solution)in E-commerce by considering the keywords typed by a user to indicate his or her personalized preferences.Finally,we validate the feasibility of the ART_(com-rec) approach by a set of simulated experiments on a real-world PW dataset.展开更多
We present a novel framework for the multidomain synthesis of artworks from semantic layouts.One of the main limitations of this challenging task is the lack of publicly available segmentation datasets for art synthes...We present a novel framework for the multidomain synthesis of artworks from semantic layouts.One of the main limitations of this challenging task is the lack of publicly available segmentation datasets for art synthesis.To address this problem,we propose a dataset called ArtSem that contains 40,000 images of artwork from four different domains,with their corresponding semantic label maps.We first extracted semantic maps from landscape photography and used a conditional generative adversarial network(GAN)-based approach for generating high-quality artwork from semantic maps without requiring paired training data.Furthermore,we propose an artwork-synthesis model using domain-dependent variational encoders for high-quality multi-domain synthesis.Subsequently,the model was improved and complemented with a simple but effective normalization method based on jointly normalizing semantics and style,which we call spatially style-adaptive normalization(SSTAN).Compared to the previous methods,which only take semantic layout as the input,our model jointly learns style and semantic information representation,improving the generation quality of artistic images.These results indicate that our model learned to separate the domains in the latent space.Thus,we can perform fine-grained control of the synthesized artwork by identifying hyperplanes that separate the different domains.Moreover,by combining the proposed dataset and approach,we generated user-controllable artworks of higher quality than that of existing approaches,as corroborated by quantitative metrics and a user study.展开更多
