Changes in Aesthetic Appeal of Tattoos Are Influenced by theAttractiveness of Female Models

College students completed anonline attitudinal assessment in a 4 × 2 design. Participants were asked to rate the aesthetics of tattoos and models(11 women and 17 men) from Photoshopped images. Results (n = 152 usable of 177 collected) indicate that aswhole models and tattoos are not affected in aesthetic appeal, but individually some models and tattoos wereaffected. Tattoos were rated as better quality art when the model can be seen; thus, contextualization allows forgreater appreciation of the tattoo. Results support extant research that indicates women's attractiveness is notaffected by tattoos, which also providing a new approach for tattooed individuals. 展开更多

Appeal of 3 + 4 Program: Good Students are Few but Growing at Secondary Vocational Schools in Shanghai

Secondary vocational education in Shanghai continues to experiment in an attempt to find ways to solve the decline of student enrollment and adjust to rapidly changing social and economic environments. The 3 + 4 Pilo... Secondary vocational education in Shanghai continues to experiment in an attempt to find ways to solve the decline of student enrollment and adjust to rapidly changing social and economic environments. The 3 + 4 Pilot Program (three-year secondary vocational education and four-year undergraduate education) has been under experiment since 2014. It has attracted more and more academically good junior middle school graduates to secondary vocational schools with the national and local favorable policies and laws. Except the three-year’s hand-on practice, what appeals most to the junior middle school graduates is the academic transfer under the Program, a breakthrough in history of vocation education in China. However, only initiating a new program is not enough. Shanghai government should map out a long-term plan to set up promotion to increase the public awareness to change the long prevailing outdated ideology in order to add more to its appeal of the Program. There is still much work to be done before expanding the scope of the Program. 展开更多

In order to make a theoretical explanation and provide suggestions for this phenomenon, this article compares the effect of different orientations of public service ads' appeals on the tendency of individual' s pro-social consumption behaviors experiment. The experimental results prove that comparatively speaking, altruism orientation of public service ads' appeals can make the individual to produce higher levels of pro-social consumption behaviors. Based on the above research results, the author respectively puts forward some advices about public service ads for the management of profit and non-profit organizations. 展开更多

The cultural elements are the core of theme parks,which gradually interact with people as unique cultural space landscapes.The expression of culture is pivotal in determining the quality of a theme park and significantly affects the tourist experience.From the perspective of the production of culture on display,this paper explores the cultural practices of theme parks and tourists’appeal through field research,content analysis,and grounded theory.The research findings indicate that theme parks are characterized by authenticity,interaction,participation,and readability.They rely on scene restoration,story narration,service facilities,cultural characteristics and tourist interaction to facilitate cultural engagement.Content analysis shows that tourists prioritize amusement attractions,performances,and the overall tourism experience.When theme parks serve as venues for leisure and entertainment,tourist appeal reflect in five aspects:Theme park products,tourism services,storytelling,social interaction,and immersive experiences.Meanwhile,these appeals drive the cultural reproduction within theme parks.This study expands the application scope of cultural engagement in theme parks,elucidates the evolving demands of visitors,and provides insights for theme parks to enhance their storytelling capabilities and improve tourist experiences. 展开更多

Institutional reform and social changes in northeast China during the late Qing period are usually attributed to the Qing dynasty changing its policy on immigration to northeast China.However,institutional reform because of debt appeals between civilian creditors and the Mongolian princes is often overlooked.Using administrative cases from Fengtian Governor Archives and Kirin Prefecture Archives,this study identifies how the governor officers of northeast China changed Mongolian land rights and official finance institutions through appeal judgments in the late Qing dynasty.Appeals were related to Mongolian land rights reform and promoted the financial institutional reform in northeast China.This study concludes by arguing that the judgments affected the profits of the litigants and changed the local society. 展开更多

尽管已有研究探讨了绿色广告诉求对消费者绿色购买意愿的影响,但未充分考虑绿色产品的典型性类型,导致绿色广告诉求无法有效传达不同典型性类型绿色产品的独特价值。鉴于此,文章立足于典型性分类视角,探讨绿色广告诉求方式与绿色产品典... 尽管已有研究探讨了绿色广告诉求对消费者绿色购买意愿的影响,但未充分考虑绿色产品的典型性类型,导致绿色广告诉求无法有效传达不同典型性类型绿色产品的独特价值。鉴于此,文章立足于典型性分类视角,探讨绿色广告诉求方式与绿色产品典型性类型的交互效应对消费者绿色购买意愿的影响。研究发现,对于典型性绿色产品,理性(vs.感性)广告诉求更显著地提高了消费者的绿色购买意愿,消费者功能一致性感知在其中起中介作用;而对于非典型性绿色产品,感性(vs.理性)广告诉求则更有效地增强了消费者的绿色购买意愿,自我一致性感知起中介作用。此外,文章还证实了消费者环境卷入度的调节作用。结论为优化企业绿色广告策略提供了理论指导。 展开更多

为了探究医生群体医患冲突信息接触与防御性医疗行为的关系及其心理机制,基于拓展平行过程模型(EPPM),调查我国各级医院 216例医生人际和媒体渠道的医患冲突信息接触,对其医患冲突感知严重性、易感性、自我效能、反应效能、恐惧情绪以... 为了探究医生群体医患冲突信息接触与防御性医疗行为的关系及其心理机制,基于拓展平行过程模型(EPPM),调查我国各级医院 216例医生人际和媒体渠道的医患冲突信息接触,对其医患冲突感知严重性、易感性、自我效能、反应效能、恐惧情绪以及防御性医疗行为的影响.使用 SmartPLS 4.1,利用偏最小二乘结构方程模型(PLS-SEM)进行数据分析和模型检验.结果显示,人际医患冲突信息接触与感知易感性正相关,与感知自我效能负相关.媒体医患冲突信息接触分别与感知严重性和易感性正相关,与感知自我效能负相关.感知严重性和易感性分别对恐惧具有正向预测作用.感知自我效能和反应效能分别与恐惧负相关,且恐惧能够正向预测防御性医疗行为.中介效应分析结果显示,感知易感性和自我效能分别与恐惧在人际医患冲突信息接触和防御性医疗行为之间的关系中存在显著的序列中介作用.感知严重性、易感性以及自我效能分别与恐惧在媒体医患冲突信息接触和防御性医疗行为之间的关系中存在显著的序列中介作用.研究结果揭示了人际和媒体医患冲突信息接触对医生群体防御性医疗行为背后心理转化的差异性机制. 展开更多
