Cultural ecosystem services(CES),which encompass recreational and aesthetic values,contribute to human wellbeing and yet are often underrepresented in forest management planning due to challenges in quantifying these ...Cultural ecosystem services(CES),which encompass recreational and aesthetic values,contribute to human wellbeing and yet are often underrepresented in forest management planning due to challenges in quantifying these services.This study introduces the Recreational and Aesthetic Values of Forested Landscapes(RAFL)index,a novel framework combining six measurable recreational and aesthetic components:Stewardship,Naturalness,Complexity,Visual Scale,Historicity,and Ephemera.The RAFL index was integrated into a Linear Programming(LP)Resource Capability Model(RCM)to assess trade-offs between CES and other ecosystem services,including timber production,wildfire resistance,and biodiversity.The approach was applied in a case study in Northern Portugal,comparing two forest management scenarios:Business as Usual(BAU),dominated by eucalyptus plantations,and an Alternative Scenario(ALT),focused on the conversion to native species:cork oak,chestnut,and pedunculate oak.Results revealed that the ALT scenario consistently achieved higher RAFL values,reflecting its potential to enhance CES,while also supporting higher biodiversity and wildfire resilience compared to the BAU scenario.Results highlighted further that management may maintain steady timber production and wildfire regulatory services while addressing concerns with CES.This study provides a replicable methodology for quantifying CES and integrating them into forest management frameworks,offering actionable insights for decision-makers.The findings highlight the effectiveness of the approach in designing landscape mosaics that provide CES while addressing the need to supply provisioning and regulatory ecosystem services.展开更多

We propose Mixed-Precision Multibranch Network(M+MNet)to compensate for the neglect of background information in image aesthetics assessment(IAA)while providing strategies for overcoming the dilemma between training c...We propose Mixed-Precision Multibranch Network(M+MNet)to compensate for the neglect of background information in image aesthetics assessment(IAA)while providing strategies for overcoming the dilemma between training costs and performance.First,two exponentially weighted pooling methods are used to selectively boost the extraction of background and salient information during downsampling.Second,we propose Corner Grid,an unsupervised data augmentation method that leverages the diffusive characteristics of convolution to force the network to seek more relevant background information.Third,we perform mixed-precision training by switching the precision format,thus significantly reducing the time and memory consumption of data representation and transmission.Most of our methods specifically designed for IAA tasks have demonstrated generalizability to other IAA works.For performance verification,we develop a large-scale benchmark(the most comprehensive thus far)by comparing 17 methods with M+MNet on two representative datasets:the Aesthetic Visual Analysis(AVA)dataset and FLICKR-Aesthetic Evaluation Subset(FLICKR-AES).M+MNet achieves state-of-the-art performance on all tasks.展开更多

文摘Aesthetic medicine is a branch of medicine dedicated to improve an individual’s appearance and overall visual appeal.Conventional aesthetic treatments have limitations,including the risk of complications,allergic reactions,and temporary benefits.Adipose tissue offers a promising alternative to conventional aesthetic treatments.The regenerative properties,accessibility and versatility of adipose tissue make it an attractive option for individuals seeking natural and long-lasting aesthetic results.Adipose tissue is rich source of adipose tissue derived stem cells(ASCs),growth factors and extracellular matrix.It can restore and rejuvenate the damaged and aged tissues.Adipose tissue can be used in different formats such as pure adipose tissue grafts,stromal vascular fraction,nanofat,macrofat,microfat and as a pure population of ASCs.In addition,ASC derived exosomes offer a unique cell-free therapy advantages bioactive molecules like growth factors,cytokines,and microRNAs to stimulate collagen production,improve skin texture,and address pigmentation issues.This review highlights the multifaceted potential of adipose tissue in aesthetic medicine.It discusses its diverse applications,the biological mechanisms involved,and emerging therapeutic approaches.Moreover,this review also highlights the challenges and future direction of using adipose tissue-based therapies for aesthetic treatments.
文摘Against the backdrop of comprehensively promoting quality education,aesthetic education,as an important component of the education system,has become increasingly prominent in its value.As a place for cultivating technical talents,vocational colleges shoulder an important mission in the cultivation of students’aesthetic education.The current art education work in vocational colleges is facing many difficulties.The traditional single art education model is difficult to meet the growing aesthetic needs of students,and the integration of art education and professional education is insufficient,failing to fully play the role of art education in promoting students’comprehensive development.The infiltration of aesthetic education has brought a new perspective to the aesthetic education work in vocational colleges,emphasizing that aesthetic education should be fully integrated into all aspects of students’learning and life,shaping their aesthetic literacy.

文摘Higher education increasingly emphasizes the unique role of aesthetic education in cultivating virtue and morality.From the perspective of integrating aesthetic education with teaching,this study develops an analytical framework to explore the theoretical foundations,practical pathways,and teaching mechanisms involved in interdisciplinary aesthetic education course construction at Sichuan University.Employing literature analysis and case studies,the paper systematically examines the theoretical basis of aesthetic education and its contemporary demands in higher education.Specifically,it focuses on Sichuan University’s initiatives in aesthetic education curriculum reform,covering practices such as curriculum design,faculty team development,resource coordination,and collaboration between internal and external institutions.Findings suggest that interdisciplinary aesthetic education courses enrich the content of aesthetic education in universities and enhance students’overall competence;however,these courses also face challenges like insufficient faculty and inadequate evaluation mechanisms during implementation.Consequently,this paper proposes strengthening top-level design,refining the curriculum system,enhancing faculty training,and improving evaluation mechanisms as recommendations for future improvement.This research aims to provide valuable references for aesthetic education reform in higher education in the new era,significantly contributing to interdisciplinary synergy and the comprehensive educational goal of integrating moral,intellectual,physical,aesthetic,and labor education.

文摘Against the backdrop of the advancement of the“Double High Plan”and the deepening of the strategy for building a cultural powerhouse,aesthetic education in architectural interior design in higher vocational colleges faces dual demands for“cultural empowerment”and“skill enhancement.”Currently,prominent issues exist in this field,such as superficial integration of regional culture,disconnection between aesthetic education and professional skill training,and a lack of systematic infiltration paths.This study primarily takes regional culture in Sichuan and Chongqing as research samples,employing literature research,mixed research methods,case analysis,and action research.By analyzing the current status and dilemmas of aesthetic education practices,it constructs a four-dimensional integrated infiltration path for aesthetic education encompassing“resources-implementation-guarantee-evaluation.”This research not only provides an operable practical paradigm for aesthetic education reform in design-related majors in higher vocational colleges but also supports the living transmission of regional culture in Sichuan and Chongqing.

文摘As medical cosmetic technology advances rapidly,non-surgical aesthetics(NSA)interventions have emerged as a low-trauma and highly effective approach.It integrates traditional medical cosmetic techniques with modern technology,with the goal of enhancing skin condition and facial contour swiftly.However,in the process of NSA,external stimuli can impact the skin's three core functions in maintaining equilibrium,external defense,and selfrepair,leading to the occurrence of adverse reactions.Despite a breadth of literature on treatment efficacy,there is a lack of information on the changes in skin core functions.This article reviews the impact of NSA procedures on the core functional triad of skin.Due to the numerous and complex classifications of NSA procedures,this article reviews six of the most prevalent and most reported interventions over the past decade.The objective is to furnish professionals within the domain of medical aesthetics with more efficacious methodologies for the prevention and management of adverse reactions.

文摘There is a significant disconnect between current aesthetic education and ecological civilization education.Music education focuses on technical training while neglecting the integration of ecological ethics,while ecological education remains limited to knowledge transmission without effective emotional resonance.This has led to weak ecological responsibility awareness among students(a deficiency of 34%)and a disconnection between curriculum practice and ecological themes(87%of textbooks do not include ecological themes).This study employs the theory of dialectical contradiction as the analytical framework,focusing on the core contradiction between“aesthetic isolation”and“cognitive instrumentality.”It constructs a dynamic intervention model of“soundscape domain-ecological consciousness”to reveal the synergistic mechanism of ecological cognitive reconstruction through neural activation(an increase of 21%in alpha wave modulation)and emotional resonance triggered by sound wave vibrations.Based on the principles of quantum acoustics and the interdisciplinary requirements of the Compulsory Education Art Curriculum Standards(2022),this study proposes a practical approach for“ecological soundscape courses.”This includes the analysis of bioacoustic spectra(such as bird song rhythms),the creation of crisis-themed compositions(mapping carbon footprint data to pitch),and a carbon-neutral music performance mechanism.These methods achieve a cognitive leap from“technical training to ecological responsibility.”

文摘Under the perspective of translation aesthetics,the article studies three Chinese-to-English translations of Slow,Slow Tune as research objects,comparing and contrasting the differences between the different translations under the perspective of translation aesthetics.The study finds that:Kenneth Rexroth’s translation is poor in textual understanding,with a lot of errors,and is too shallow in emotional expression,remaining only on the surface of the text;Lin Yutang makes occasional mistakes in understanding individual words,and is able to explore the implicit feelings of the lyricist,and his translation focuses on textual and phonological beauty;Xu Yuanchong’s translation is not only capable of conveying the meaning of the original work,but also of conveying the lyricist’s feelings more vividly and focusing on the phonological beauty.Xu Yuanchong’s translation not only conveys the meaning of the original work,but also vividly conveys the emotion of the lyricist,and pays attention to the beauty of sound.

文摘Cultural ecosystem services(CES),which encompass recreational and aesthetic values,contribute to human wellbeing and yet are often underrepresented in forest management planning due to challenges in quantifying these services.This study introduces the Recreational and Aesthetic Values of Forested Landscapes(RAFL)index,a novel framework combining six measurable recreational and aesthetic components:Stewardship,Naturalness,Complexity,Visual Scale,Historicity,and Ephemera.The RAFL index was integrated into a Linear Programming(LP)Resource Capability Model(RCM)to assess trade-offs between CES and other ecosystem services,including timber production,wildfire resistance,and biodiversity.The approach was applied in a case study in Northern Portugal,comparing two forest management scenarios:Business as Usual(BAU),dominated by eucalyptus plantations,and an Alternative Scenario(ALT),focused on the conversion to native species:cork oak,chestnut,and pedunculate oak.Results revealed that the ALT scenario consistently achieved higher RAFL values,reflecting its potential to enhance CES,while also supporting higher biodiversity and wildfire resilience compared to the BAU scenario.Results highlighted further that management may maintain steady timber production and wildfire regulatory services while addressing concerns with CES.This study provides a replicable methodology for quantifying CES and integrating them into forest management frameworks,offering actionable insights for decision-makers.The findings highlight the effectiveness of the approach in designing landscape mosaics that provide CES while addressing the need to supply provisioning and regulatory ecosystem services.
文摘Within the horizon of the history of ideas,the relationship between aesthetics and civilizing education has always been a core issue in the evolution of human civilization.Traditional aesthetics regards the aesthetic as“pure sensory pleasure”or“the manifestation of abstract ideas”,while simplifying civilizing education to“the transmission of knowledge”or“moral discipline”,splitting them into a dual opposition between“sensory experience”and“rational cultivation”.Based on practical phenomenology as a methodological foundation,this paper attempts to reveal the ontological connection between aesthetics and civilizing education through etymological research and classical text analysis.It argues that properly understood and defined,the aesthetic is essentially the authentic psychosomatic integration of a real subject endowed with free will with the world in free and conscious objective activities.The core of civilizing education,on the other hand,is the historical generation of a holistic way of human life.The two are unified in the process of“the manifestation of meaning in bodily practice”.The core and purpose of the interpretive logic of practical phenomenology is to emphasize the principle of“returning to practice itself”,and in the three dimensions of“the corporeality of aesthetic experience”,“the situationality of the educational process”,and“the practicality of civilizational evolution”,to reactivate the authentic value of the aesthetic for civilizing education.Aesthetics is not the“ornament”of civilizing education,but its“ontological foundation”.The ultimate goal of civilizing education is“the realization of the free and comprehensive development of human beings through aesthetic practice”.

文摘We propose Mixed-Precision Multibranch Network(M+MNet)to compensate for the neglect of background information in image aesthetics assessment(IAA)while providing strategies for overcoming the dilemma between training costs and performance.First,two exponentially weighted pooling methods are used to selectively boost the extraction of background and salient information during downsampling.Second,we propose Corner Grid,an unsupervised data augmentation method that leverages the diffusive characteristics of convolution to force the network to seek more relevant background information.Third,we perform mixed-precision training by switching the precision format,thus significantly reducing the time and memory consumption of data representation and transmission.Most of our methods specifically designed for IAA tasks have demonstrated generalizability to other IAA works.For performance verification,we develop a large-scale benchmark(the most comprehensive thus far)by comparing 17 methods with M+MNet on two representative datasets:the Aesthetic Visual Analysis(AVA)dataset and FLICKR-Aesthetic Evaluation Subset(FLICKR-AES).M+MNet achieves state-of-the-art performance on all tasks.
文摘When Utopia is re-discussed in the contemporary era, it is no longer just a question about the continued writing of a romantic poem, but a revolutionary political question. As it is the ＂presence＂ of ＂absence＂, the charm of Utopia lies in that it is not only distant otherness, but a kind of existence always touching the undercurrent of reality. In contemporary era, Utopia exists in the paradoxical form of dystopia. It is just in the review on Utopia that the political potential of art enables aesthetic Utopia re-enter its promising holy land as a new configuration of contemporary Utopia. However, the practice of aesthetic Utopia is not entirely poetic; on the contrary, there are always many fields which intertwine around and fight against each other between reality and expectations. Therefore, the aesthetic revolution chooses a more prudent way after the passionate release.
