A total of 100 patients with malignant primary bone tumors around the knee in a hospital were selected. The pathological data of preoperative MR single excitation plane echo diffusion weighted imaging and postoperative samples were analyzed. ADC values of tumor parenchyma, peritumoral edema tissue, tumor necrosis site, normal muscle and bone marrow tissue were calculated. The corresponding ADC value was obtained, and the difference of ADC value between different tissues was statistically significant. The ADC value of tumor parenchyma was significantly higher than that of normal bone marrow tissue and normal muscle, but lower than that of tumor necrosis site and edema bone marrow tissue and edema muscle. It can be seen that the application of MR-SSEPI-DWI to calculate the ADC value can identify and analyze the tumor parenchyma, peritumoral edema, tumor parenchyma and tumor necrosis sites of malignant bone tumors, so as to provide a strong basis for subsequent chemotherapy and development. 展开更多

Objective:This paper aims to discuss the diagnostic value of quantitative DTI on AIDS patients with brain tuberculosis or toxoplasmosis.Materials and methods:22 subjects(12 with brain tuberculosis and 10 with toxoplasmosis)were recruited, who underwent routine MRI,T1WI-CE and DTI imaging sequence. The morphological characteristics of lesions were observed, and FA and ADC values of the solid areas, edematous areas and the contralateral normal areas of the lesions were calculated. Results were compared by one-way ANOVA and independent sample t-test.The TB diagnosis efficiency of these two values was analyzed by ROC curve. Results:ADC and FA values were detected with significant differences among the three regions between subjects with brain tuberculosis and subjects with toxoplasmosis(P<0.05).Statistically significant difference was recorded between solid and edematous areas and contralateral areas in ADC and FA values(P<0.05).And so was between the solid areas and edema areas in either group. Moreover, the FA values of the solid areas between two groups also presented statistically significant difference(P<0.01).ROC curve of TB showed the AUC of FA value was larger than that of ADC value(0.914 vs.0.715,respectively,P<0.05).DTT imaging showed infiltrative changes of white matter fibers in the lesion areas. Conclusions:Quantitative DTI is valuable for diagnosis and differential diagnosis of patients with AIDS-associated infections, and also could provide references for clinical physicians for proper medications. The quantitative FA value could help better reveal different changes of microstructural integrity between different opportunistic infections. 展开更多

Objective:To explore the value of quantitative ADC in the identification and diagnosis of cerebral alveolar echinococcosis and tuberculoma.Materials and methods:Patients admitted to our hospital from 2010 to 2014 with diagnosis of cerebral alveolar echinococcosis and tuberculoma underwent 3.0T superconduction MRI including whole brain routine MR plain scanning, enhanced scanning and DWI examination. The b-value for the DWI gradient sensitive factor is taken as 1000 s/mm^(2).The apparent diffusion coefficient in the lesion solid area, the area around the edema and the brain normal solid area on the corresponding opposite location(control area)were measured respectively. The SPSS17.0 software was used for statistics, and changes in the ADC values in the both pathologic lesion solid area and the area around the edema area were analyzed. Results:The median and inter quartile range(IQR)of the ADC values of solid area of the cerebral alveolar echinococcosis and the brain tuberculoma lesion were:1.08×10^(-3)mm^(2)/s(1.03-1.13),1.28×10^(-3)mm^(2)/s(1.19-1.34),there was the significant difference between the average ADC values of the solid area of both diseases(t0×5.435,P<0.0);The median and IQR of edema area of the ADC values of the cerebral alveolar echinococcosis and the brain tuberculoma lesion were:1.08×10^(-3)mm^(2)/s(0.99-1.19),1.39×10^(-3)mm^(2)/s(1.23-1.49),there were the significant difference between average ADC difference around the edema area of both diseases(t0×6.191,p<0.05);No statistical significance was shown when the ADC value of the edema area of cerebral alveolar echinococcosis was compared to the ADC value of the solid area(p>0.05).The ADC values of solid area and the area around the edema of the brain tuberculoma were higher than that of the corresponding area of the cerebral alveolar echinococcosis. Conclusions:DWI combined with conventional MRI might be applied to provide valuable information for the diagnosis of the cerebral alveolar echinococcosis and the brain tuberculoma. 展开更多
