Recently,power electronic transformers(PETs)have received widespread attention owing to their flexible networking,diverse operating modes,and abundant control objects.In this study,we established a steady-state model of PETs and applied it to the power flow calculation of AC-DC hybrid systems with PETs,considering the topology,power balance,loss,and control characteristics of multi-port PETs.To address new problems caused by the introduction of the PET port and control equations to the power flow calculation,this study proposes an iterative method of AC-DC mixed power flow decoupling based on step optimization,which can achieve AC-DC decoupling and effectively improve convergence.The results show that the proposed algorithm improves the iterative method and overcomes the overcorrection and initial value sensitivity problems of conventional iterative algorithms. 展开更多

Based on the“three box”exergy analysis model,a black box-gray box hierarchical exergy analysis and evaluation method is put forward in this paper,which is applied to evaluate the power generation technology of differential pressure produced by natural gas expansion.By using the exergy analysis theory,the black box-gray box hierarchical exergy analysis models of three differential pressure power generation technologies are established respectively.Firstly,the“black box”analysis models of main energy consuming equipment are established,and then the“gray box”analysis model of the total system is established.Based on the calculation results of exergy analysis indexes,the weak energy consumption equipment in the whole power generation process is accurately located.Taking a gas field in southwest China as an example,the comprehensive energy consumption evaluation of the three power generation technologies is carried out,and the technology with the best energy consumption condition among the three technologies is determined.Finally,the rationalization improvement measures are put forward from improving the air tightness,replacing the deflector and reducing the flow loss. 展开更多

However, inappropriate setting of HVDC controller may have a detriment effect on the system performance. Generally, PSS (Power System Stabilizer) is known as a simple concept, easy to perform, and computationally effective to enhance damping of power system oscillations through excitation control of synchronous generator. This paper examines the effectiveness of the PSS to enhance the dynamic performance of AC-DC power systems and to compensate the negative damping of HVDC system. The dynamic performance is evaluated by examining the system response to various disturbances. In order to ensure the reliability of the simulation test results as well as the performance of the PSS, detailed HVDC modeling is adopted using SimPowerSystems toolbox in the MATLAB, and some important conclusions are drawn. 展开更多

A new method of prefetching data blocks from the NVCache to the page cache in main memory and cascading prefetching n-blocks from a hard disk to the NVCache together was proposed to reduce the spin-up frequency of a hybrid hard disk drive and thus enhance I/O performance.The proposed method consists of three steps:1) Analyzing the pattern of read requests in block units;2) Determining the number of blocks prefetched to the NVCache;3) Replacing blocks in the NVCache according to the block replacement policy.The proposed method can reduce the latency time of a hybrid hard disk and optimize the power consumption of an IPTV set-top box.Experimental results show that the proposed method provides better average response time compared to an existing adaptive multistream prefetching(AMP) method by 25.17%.It also reduces by 20.83% the average power consumption over that of the existing external caching in energy saving storage system(EXCES) method. 展开更多

Along with the increasing integration of renewable energy generation in AC-DC power networks,investigating the dynamic behaviors of this complex system with a proper equivalent model is significant.This paper presents an equivalent modeling method for the AC-DC power networks with doubly-fed induction generator(DFIG)based wind farms to decrease the simulation scale and computational burden.For the AC-DC power networks,the equivalent modeling strategy in accordance with the physical structure simplification is stated.Regarding the DFIG-based wind farms,the equivalent modeling based on the sequential identification of multi-machine parameters using the improved chaotic cuckoo search algorithm(ICCSA)is conducted.In light of the MATLAB simulation platform,a two-zone four-DC interconnected power grid with wind farms is built to check the efficacy of the proposed equivalentmodelingmethod.Fromthe simulation analyses and comparative validation in different algorithms and cases,the proposed method can precisely reflect the steady and dynamic performance of the demonstrated system under N-1 and N-2 fault scenarios,and it can efficiently achieve the parameter identification of the wind farms and fulfill the equivalent modeling.Consequently,the proposed approach’s effectiveness and suitability are confirmed. 展开更多

Substitution boxes (S-Boxes) in advanced encryption standard (AES) are vulnerable to attacks bypower analysis.The general S-Boxes masking schemes in circuit level need to adjust the design flow andlibrary databases.The masking strategies in algorithm level view each S-Box as an independent moduleand mask them respectively,which are costly in size and power for non-linear characteristic of S-Boxes.The new method uses dynamic inhomogeneous S-Boxes instead of traditional homogeneous S-Boxes,andarranges the S-Boxes randomly.So the power and data path delay of substitution unit become unpre-dictable.The experimental results demonstrate that this scheme takes advantages of the circuit character-istics of various S-Box implementations to eliminate the correlation between crypto operation and power.Itneeds less extra circuits and suits resource constrained applications. 展开更多

These power electronic converters are with prominent low power factor and higher Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). These converters operate only for short time resulting non-sinusoidal waveform. This problem of harmonic distortion can be mitigated by reshaping the non-sinusoidal waveform to pure sine wave. Different wave shaping techniques have been developed by using different filters among which one is tuned passive filter. This paper proposed power factor improvement and harmonic mitigation of AC-DC converters based on separately excited DC motor using tuned passive filter. In this paper we concern the software fault prediction using a multilayer-perceptron neural network, where the underlying software fault count data are transformed to the Gaussian data, by means of the well-known Box-Cox power transformation. More specially, we investigate the long-term behavior of software fault counts by the neural network, and perform the multi-stage look ahead prediction of the cumulative number of software faults detected in the future software testing. In numerical examples with two actual software fault data sets, we compare our neural network approach with the existing software reliability growth models based on nonhomogeneous Poisson process, in terms of predictive performance with average relative error, and show that the data transformation employed in this paper leads to an improvement in prediction accuracy. 展开更多

在电动车减速器润滑系统中,搅油损失对传动效率和使用寿命具有显著影响。然而目前针对齿轮搅油功率损失的研究,主要聚焦于单齿轮或齿轮副系统,针对多对齿轮系统的研究较少。基于光滑粒子流体动力学(SPH)方法,建立减速器齿轮箱流体仿真模... 在电动车减速器润滑系统中,搅油损失对传动效率和使用寿命具有显著影响。然而目前针对齿轮搅油功率损失的研究,主要聚焦于单齿轮或齿轮副系统,针对多对齿轮系统的研究较少。基于光滑粒子流体动力学(SPH)方法,建立减速器齿轮箱流体仿真模型,研究减速器不同布置角度、转速、润滑油黏度、油量对减速器搅油功率损失的影响规律。采用Box-Behnken响应面设计法优化设计对减速器搅油功率损失进行优化设计,得到低转速和高转速下最小搅油功率损失的油量、润滑油黏度配合参数。研究结果表明:减速器搅油功率损失随着转速的增大而增大,随着润滑油浸油量的增大而增大,随着润滑油黏度的增大而增大;对搅油功率损失的影响程度由高到低依次为转速、润滑油黏度和浸油深度。提出了通过调整油液黏度来减少搅油损失的方法,即在高速工况下选用较低黏度的润滑油,在低速工况下选用较高黏度的润滑油。研究结果对电动车减速器润滑系统的优化设计具有重要参考意义。 展开更多

A novel topology of Integrated Boost-SEPIC (IBS) AC-DC converter using common part sharing method (CPSM) has been proposed in this paper. Conventional boost converters with bridge rectifier configuration are inefficient due to limited voltage step-up ratio which may not be applicable for high step-up applications as in the case of micro generators. The proposed IBS topology is based on the common part sharing method capable of operating both for positive and negative half cycle of the input signal. Result and simulation were conducted using PSIM environment. The proposed AC-DC IBS topology eliminates the requirement of bridge rectifier achieving high efficiency (about 99%), improved power factor (0.75, leading) and lower THD (about 38.8%) which is within IEEE standard. 展开更多
