To decrease the transmission delay of uplink voice over IP(VoIP)services in IEEE 802.16e sys-tem,a novel strategy which includes a load-balance algorithm and an extended earliest deadline first(EEDF)scheduling algorit...To decrease the transmission delay of uplink voice over IP(VoIP)services in IEEE 802.16e sys-tem,a novel strategy which includes a load-balance algorithm and an extended earliest deadline first(EEDF)scheduling algorithm is proposed.Subsequently,this paper analyzes the performance of the pro-posed strategy in terms of transmission delay of VoIP services,system capacity,throughput and compati-bility with IEEE 802 .16e standard.Finally,simulation experiments are carried out to verify the improve-ment of the proposed strategy.The simulation results match well with the theoretical analysis and showthat the proposed strategy reduces the transmission delay of uplink VoIP services and improves the capaci-ty and throughput.These improvements are remarkable especially when the load of system is heavy.展开更多

The co...Based on the structures of the short preamble and long preamble, which are defined for synchronization in IEEES02.16e specification, the robust synchronization algorithm for IEEES02.16e OFDM system is proposed. The correlations among the sample sequences in the preamble are investigated, especially the correlation between the first sample sequence and the last sample sequence in the long preamble. The conventional joint timing and frequency synchronization algorithm is reviewed based on the short preamble referring to the algorithm proposed by Schmidl, then a robust joint timing and frequency synchronization algorithm is proposed based on the long preamble. The simulations in the multi-path and frequency selective fading channel show that the proposed algorithm has improved the performances of timing metric plateau, timing offset and synchronization acquisition time even when signal-to-noise ratio is less than -5 dB.展开更多

Taking the performanc...Based on five scheduling types and their QoS requirements defined in IEEE 802.16e specification, this paper proposes a new scheduring algorithm for non-real-time or real-time multimedia services. Taking the performances of efficiency, fairness and complexity into consideration, the proposed algorithm enhances the efficiency of air interface resource at the expense of the short-time unfairness, but ensures the long-time fairness. Moreover, the proposed algorithm introduces an efficient QoS assurance mechanism, which implements the functions of congestion control, queuing management and traffic management. The simulation results based on a simplified traffic model show that the proposed algorithm guarantees better performances of efficiency and fairness than conventional algorithms, without increasing the algorithm complexity. Especially on the occasion of heavy-traffic requirement, the performance of efficiency and fairness can be improved by 50% at most.展开更多
In plants,the ubiquitin–proteasome system(UPS)plays a central role in hormonal regulation,including the action of the phytohormone auxin,which orchestrates numerous aspects of growth and development.Auxin modulates r...In plants,the ubiquitin–proteasome system(UPS)plays a central role in hormonal regulation,including the action of the phytohormone auxin,which orchestrates numerous aspects of growth and development.Auxin modulates redox metabolism and promotes the accumulation of nitric oxide(NO)in various tissues and physiological contexts.NO functions as a redox signaling molecule,exerting its effects in part through the reversible oxidation of cysteine residues via a post-translational modification known as S-nitrosylation.Recent findings highlight a dynamic interplay between S-nitrosylation and the ubiquitination machinery,shaping critical aspects of auxin-mediated plant responses.In this review,we summarize current knowledge on redox regulation of UPS components involved in auxinmediated pathways and propose new perspectives on the integration of hormonal and redox signaling in plants.We describe and discuss the complexity of the latest evidence supporting the role of NO as a second messenger in auxin signaling,with S-nitrosylation acting as a regulatory mechanism that fine-tunes the UPS to control developmental outcomes.We focused on the direct effects of NO that include S-nitrosylation of specific cysteine residues of substrates,adaptors,and substrate receptors belonging to different CULLIN1-and CULLIN4-based E3 ubiquitin ligase complexes.展开更多
OBJECTIVE:To systematically assess the safety and effectiveness of Compound E’jiao Jiang(复方阿胶浆,CEJ)for treating leukopenia.METHODS:Four English and four Chinese databases were searched for randomized controlled ...OBJECTIVE:To systematically assess the safety and effectiveness of Compound E’jiao Jiang(复方阿胶浆,CEJ)for treating leukopenia.METHODS:Four English and four Chinese databases were searched for randomized controlled trials(RCTs)on CEJ for treating leukopenia up to July 1,2024.Two researchers independently screened the studies and extracted necessary data.Methodological quality and risk of bias were assessed using the Cochrane risk-of-bias tool.Articles eligible for Meta-analysis were analyzed using RevMan.RESULTS:A total of 28 RCTs involving 2041 participants were included,with 1034 in the experimental group and 1007 in the control group.The Meta-analysis showed a significant effect of CEJ in treating leukopenia caused by tumor and immune diseases(three RCTs)[risk ratio(RR)=1.17,95%confidence interval(CI)(1.08,1.27),P=0.0002,I^(2)=35%].The combination of CEJ and Western Medicine showed superior results in terms of white blood cell(WBC)counts(fifteen RCTs)[mean difference(MD)=1.12,95%CI(0.83,1.42),P<0.00001,I^(2)=88%],Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS)levels(seven RCTs)[RR=1.39,95%CI(1.25,1.55),P<0.00001,I^(2)=36%],and mitigation of bone marrow toxicity(eleven RCTs)[RR=0.61,95%CI(0.54,0.69),P<0.00001,I^(2)=24%]compared to Western Medicine alone.Adverse events mainly included gastrointestinal and digestive reactions associated with chemotherapy drugs.CONCLUSION:CEJ alone or in combination with Western Medicine for treating leukopenia caused by tumor and immune diseases improved WBC counts,clinical efficacy,and quality of life.It also reduced bone marrow toxicity-induced leukopenia,enhanced the efficacy of chemotherapy while reducing its toxicity,and alleviated symptoms.No significant adverse events were reported in the RCTs,indicating favorable efficacy and safety.The Grading of Recommendations Assessment,Development and Evaluation assessment indicated a low level of evidence for CEJ in improving leukocyte elevation efficacy,KPS levels,and myelosuppressive toxicity.Therefore,large-scale,high-quality,rigorous multicenter double-blind controlled trials are recommended to strengthen the evidence level.展开更多
