A Compton camera prototype has been developed using a pixelated CZT detector with 4-by-4 pixels.Signals of the detector are read out by a VASTAT ASIC that is controlled by a self-developed DAQ board. The DAQ software is developed using LabVIEW, and the offline Compton imaging codes are written in C++. The prototype has been successfully calibrated, and its capabilities for source detection, spectroscopy, and Compton imaging have been demonstrated using a Cs-137 source.The angular resolution of the 662 keV line is 36° FWHM for the simple back-projection method and 9.6° FWHM for the MLEM reconstruction method. The system is ready to be extended to 11-by-11 pixels in the future, and a better imaging quality can be expected due to the better relative position resolution. 展开更多

Objective: To investigate the value of 3D printing techniques in the treatment of complex tibial plateau fractures. Methods: From September 2016 to September 2018, 28 patients with complex tibial plateau fractures were treated in our hospital. According to the odevity of hospitalized order, the patients were divided into two groups. Group A used 3D reconstruction, virtually reduction, 3D printing and demonstration of individual fracture model before operation while group B only received conventional process by use X-rays or CT image. Comparison between the two groups was made in operation time, operative blood loss, radiation frequency, surgery instrument cost and knee function score. Results: The follow-up was 14.4 months on average (ranged 6 to 22 months). There was no statistical difference of the surgery instrument cost between the 2 groups (P > 0.05). The operation time of group A was significantly shorter than that of group B (P χ2 = 0.373, P = 0.54). Conclusion: 3D printing techniques can improve surgery effect in complex tibial plateau fractures. 展开更多

AIM:To assess the effect of experimentally induced anisometropia on binocularity in normal adults with glassesfree three-dimensional(3D)technique.METHODS:Totally 54 healthy medical students with normal binocularity in the cross-sectional study were enrolled.Anisometropia was induced by placing trail lenses over the right eye,in 0.5 D steps including lenses of-0.5,-1,-1.5,-2,-2.5 D(hyperopic anisometropia)and lenses of+0.5,+1,+1.5,+2,+2.5 D(myopic anisometropia).The glasses-free 3D technique was used to evaluated not only fine stereopsis,but also coarse stereopsis,dynamic stereopsis,foveal suppression,and peripheral suppression in these subjects.One-way analysis of variance was used to compare quantitative data such as fine stereopsis,coarse stereopsis.Pearson’s Chi-square test was performed to compare categorical data such as dynamic stereopsis,foveal suppression and peripheral suppression.RESULTS:The subjects showed a statistically significant decline in fine stereopsis,coarse stereopsis,and dynamic stereopsis with increasing levels of anisometropia(P<0.001).Binocularity was af fected when induced anisometropia was more than 1 D(P<0.05).Foveal suppression and peripheral suppression were evident and increased in proportion to anisometropia(P<0.001).CONCLUSION:The relatively low degrees of anisometropia may have a potentially significant effect on high-grade binocular interaction.The mechanisms underlying the defect of binocularity seem to involve not only foveal suppression,but also peripheral suppression. 展开更多

Permittivity of composites used for Luneburg lens antennas by drilling holes based on 3-D printing technique

Due to the attractive performances such as the ability of beam focus,broadband,multi-beam scanning and other features,Luneburg lens antennas are applied in multi-beam antenna,which overcomes the problem of gain loss produced by multi-beam parabolic antenna.Based on 3-D printing technique,Luneburg lens antennas by drilling holes are studied.Permittivity and loss tangent of the equivalent lens materials can be influenced by original materials,hole shapes,hole directions,and porosity.After tests,polystyrene with waxes may be the most appropriate materials for Luneburg lens with high strength.Permittivity with the shape of triangle is the lowest due to the homogeneity.Relative permittivities with the direction at a range of 15°-45°are lower while loss tangent at a range of 0°-30°.Radial directional holes are more appropriate for Luneburg lens.The relative permittivity is decreased with the increment of porosity.After calculations,the forecasts calculated by Looyenga and A-BG theory are more precise.Finally,Luneburg lens with two layers is fabricated by 3-D printing. 展开更多

Through the integrated interpretation on the 3D space structure, stratum, and seismic attributes, the visualized multi-attribute superimposition analysis is implemented for describing the spatial distribution characteristics of hydrate ore volume and exquisitely describing the subtle geological characteristics of hydrate ore volume. By the hybrid rendering technique, authentication and interpretation are provided for the geological exploration work, so as to greatly enhance the visualization and accuracy of the geological analysis, and also provide a good decision-making foundation for the subsequent development of resources. 展开更多

The developing processes of stress and deformation fields of a protected layer after mining an upper-protective layer with a bow pseudo-incline technique were simulated to locate the protection region. The pressure relief of the protected layer was analyzed after mining the upper-protective layer. The pressure relief angle along the strike and incline were located according to the roles of protection of the deformation and stress pressure-relief of the protective layer after mining. This results show that the upper-protective layer with the bow pseudo-incline technique have an upper and downside pressure relief angle of 85 and 68 degrees respectively; the distribution of strike pressure relief angles along the pseudo-incline working face is uneven and their values range from 38.3 to 51 degrees. The pressure relief angle of the inclined middle location was the largest. The distribution of the protection region of the upper-protective layer with the bow pseudo-incline teelmique located by practical tests and numerical simulation is essentially consistent, compared with the results obtained by these methods. 展开更多

To obtain the certificate of airworthiness,it is essential to conduct a full-scale aircraft static test.During such test,accurate and comprehensive wing deformation measurement is crucial for assessing its strength,stiffness,and bearing capability.This paper proposes a novel and cost-effective videogrammetric method using multi-camera system to achieve the non-contact,highprecision,and 3D measurement of overall static deformation for the large-scale wing structure.To overcome the difficulties of making,carrying,and employing the large 2D or 3D target for calibrating the cameras with large field of view,a flexible stereo cameras calibration method combining 1D target and epipolar geometry is proposed.The global calibration method,aided by a total station,is employed to unify the 3D data obtained from various binocular subsystems.A series of static load tests using a 10-meter-long large-scale wing have been conducted to validate the proposed system and methods.Furthermore,the proposed method was applied to the practical wing deformation measurement of both wings with a wingspan of 33.6 m in the full-size civil aircraft static test.The overall 3D profile and displacement data of the tested wing under various loads can be accurately obtained.The maximum error of distance and displacement measurement is less than 4.5 mm within the measurement range of 35 m in all load cases.These results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves effective,high-accuracy,on-site,and visualized wing deformation measurement,making it a promising approach for full-scale aircraft wing static test. 展开更多

When incorporating new technology into medical curricula,it is essential to evaluate student success and resource preference.Our team created a database of virtual 3D scanned prosections for students to use while studying Gross Anatomy.Incoming first year medical students were recruited to take part in a study examining the effectiveness and preference for this resource.The study was conducted in four parts:first,a pre-test using physical prosections and images of virtual 3D scans of prosections;second,a teaching session using physical prosections or virtual 3D scans of prosections;third,a post-test identical to the pre-test;forth,a posttest survey.Twenty-nine students participated in this study(physical prosection teaching group[physical]=15;virtual 3D scans teaching group[virtual]=14).Exam scores significantly increased in both groups regardless of past anatomy experience with no significance found between groups(physical=42.6%±17.9%;virtual=44.3%±24.0%;P<0.01).Students taught using the virtual 3D scans were more likely to agree that they“would be able to sufficiently learn anatomy using 3D scans”(physical=3.0±0.8;virtual=4.1±1.1;P<0.01).Regardless of teaching group,students disagreed that they“would have a similar lab experience if they learned 3D scans instead of dissection”(physical=2.1±0.6;virtual=2.5±0.8),but agreed that they would use the virtual 3D scans to prepare for the dissection lab and practical/written exam(physical=4.5±0.8;virtual=4.9±0.3).This study demonstrates that virtual 3D scans are comparable to physical prosections in anatomy learning,but students do not support this resource replacing the dissection process. 展开更多

Due to the pristine interface of the 2D/3D face-tunneling heterostructure with an ultra-sharp doping profile, the 2D/3D tunneling field-effect transistor(TFET) is considered as one of the most promising low-power devices that can simultaneously obtain low off-state current(IOFF), high on-state current(ION) and steep subthreshold swing(SS). As a key element for the 2D/3D TFET, the intensive exploration of the tunnel diode based on the 2D/3D heterostructure is in urgent need.The transfer technique composed of the exfoliation and the release process is currently the most common approach to fabricating the 2D/3D heterostructures. However, the well-established transfer technique of the 2D materials is still unavailable.Only a small part of the irregular films can usually be obtained by mechanical exfoliation, while the choice of the chemical exfoliation may lead to the contamination of the 2D material films by the ions in the chemical etchants. Moreover, the deformation of the 2D material in the transfer process due to its soft nature also leads to the nonuniformity of the transferred film,which is one of the main reasons for the presence of the wrinkles and the stacks in the transferred film. Thus, the large-scale fabrication of the high-quality 2D/3D tunnel diodes is limited. In this article, a comprehensive transfer technique that can mend up the shortages mentioned above with the aid of the water and the thermal release tape(TRT) is proposed. Based on the method we proposed, the MoS_(2)/Si tunnel diode is experimentally demonstrated and the transferred monolayer MoS_(2) film with the relatively high crystal quality is confirmed by atomic force microscopy(AFM), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and Raman characterizations. Besides, the prominent negative differential resistance(NDR) effect is observed at room temperature, which verifies the relatively high quality of the MoS_(2)/Si heterojunction. The bilayer MoS_(2)/Si tunnel diode is also experimentally fabricated by repeating the transfer process we proposed, followed by the specific analysis of the electrical characteristics. This study shows the advantages of the transfer technique we proposed and indicates the great application foreground of the fabricated 2D/3D heterostructure for ultralow-power tunneling devices. 展开更多

目的探讨3D打印整体复制技术在脑动脉瘤手术治疗中的应用价值。方法 2017年2月至2019年2月收治符合标准的脑动脉瘤54例,根据术前规划分为观察组(27例)和对照组(27例)。对照组按常规进行计划实施手术。观察组术前应用颅脑整体3D打印模型... 目的探讨3D打印整体复制技术在脑动脉瘤手术治疗中的应用价值。方法 2017年2月至2019年2月收治符合标准的脑动脉瘤54例,根据术前规划分为观察组(27例)和对照组(27例)。对照组按常规进行计划实施手术。观察组术前应用颅脑整体3D打印模型进行动脉瘤手术模拟。结果两组均顺利完成手术治疗。观察组术中显露时间[(123.3±74.9)min]显著短于对照组[(219.8±121.4)min,P<0.05]。两组住院时间无明显差异(P>0.05)。观察组术后6个月GOS评分[(4.33±0.25)分]、手术前后NIHSS评分差值[(5.85±3.84)分]、Barthrl指数差值[(17.50±4.56)分]均显著大于对照组[分别为(2.86±0.12)分、(3.30±3.53)分、(10.00±5.31)分;P<0.05]。两组术后并发症发生率无明显差异(P>0.05)。结论 3D整体打印模型辅助制定手术计划,可缩短脑动脉瘤术中显露时间,同时改善病人预后。 展开更多

目的探讨3D打印结合虚拟手术辅助治疗C型桡骨远端骨折手术的效果。方法将17例C型桡骨远端骨折患者术前薄层CT扫描的数据适当处理后导入3D打印机,快速定制模型以分析骨折具体情况,同时在计算机上进行虚拟的复位内固定手术后,制定详细的... 目的探讨3D打印结合虚拟手术辅助治疗C型桡骨远端骨折手术的效果。方法将17例C型桡骨远端骨折患者术前薄层CT扫描的数据适当处理后导入3D打印机,快速定制模型以分析骨折具体情况,同时在计算机上进行虚拟的复位内固定手术后,制定详细的手术计划。严格按照计划实施手术,记录手术时间、术中出血量、骨折愈合时间、复位情况和腕关节功能恢复情况。结果手术时间28~76 min,术中出血量20~75 ml。患者均获得随访,时间6~18个月。骨折全部愈合,时间为8.2~11.5周。术后6个月时,影像学测量桡骨高度为7.2~12.7 mm,掌倾角为7.1°~14.9°,尺偏角14.8°~27.3°;采用改良Sarmiento系统评估骨折复位情况:优10例,良6例,可1例;采用Dienst标准评估腕关节功能:优12例,良4例,可1例。结论借助3D打印技术快速定制骨折模型,术者可以直观、深入地观察C型桡骨远端骨折情况;通过计算机数字化虚拟手术,按照定制的术前计划实施精准手术,可以提高实际手术的效率,提高治疗效果满意度。 展开更多

为了研究汽车发动机连杆激光3-D打印制造工艺,采用理论分析和实验验证的方法,建立了连杆3-D数据模型,进行了分层切片处理,通过S型扫描和轮廓偏移扫描,规划两种连杆加工路径。选用铁基合金粉末以及相应的工艺参量,在激光3-D打印系统中进... 为了研究汽车发动机连杆激光3-D打印制造工艺,采用理论分析和实验验证的方法,建立了连杆3-D数据模型,进行了分层切片处理,通过S型扫描和轮廓偏移扫描,规划两种连杆加工路径。选用铁基合金粉末以及相应的工艺参量,在激光3-D打印系统中进行连杆打印试验。扫描单层轨迹用时4min30s^4min56s,总用时4h20min。结果表明,连杆成形区底部的金相组织主要是柱状晶和树枝晶,中上部是细小的等轴晶,层间致密搭接,形成良好的冶金结合;成形连杆显微硬度为450HV^490HV,屈服强度为754MPa,抗拉强度为1189MPa,延伸率为9%。连杆激光3-D打印成形制坯性能相比于锻造、粉锻制造工艺,减少了工装成本支出并缩短了生产准备工时,其屈服强度、抗拉强度等力学性能超过钢锻连杆,与国外粉锻连杆相比,差别不大,能满足连杆制坯要求。 展开更多

The loss of digestive juice, water-electrolyte imbalance and malnutrition are intractable issues during management of ECF. Techniques such as "fistula patch" and vacuumassisted closure therapy have been applied to prevent contamination of open abdominal wounds by intestinal fistula drainage. However, failures are encountered due to high-output fistula and anatomical complexity. Here, we report 3 D-printed patient-personalized fistula stent for ECF treatment based on 3 D reconstruction of the fistula image. Subsequent follow-up demonstrated that this stent was well-implanted and effective to reduce the volume of enteric fistula effluent. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Open abdomen(OA) has been generally accepted for its magnificent superiority and effectiveness in patients with severe trauma, severe intra-abdominal infection, and abdominal compartment syndrome. In the meantime, OA calls for a mass of nursing and the subsequent enteroatomospheric fistula(EAF), which is one of the most common complications of OA therapy, remains a thorny challenge.CASE SUMMARY Our team applied thermoplastic polyurethane as a befitting material for producing a 3 D-printed "fistula stent" in the management of an EAF patient,who was initially admitted to local hospital because of abdominal pain and distension and diagnosed with bowel obstruction. After a series of operations and OA therapy, the patient developed an EAF.CONCLUSION Application of this novel "fistula stent" resulted in a drastic reduction in the amount of lost enteric effluent and greatly accelerated rehabilitation processes. 展开更多

Recent monitoring techniques employ multiple sources of information for the characterization of the phenomenon to be studied, being the coupling and adjustment of multi-source data one of the first challenges to consider and solve. The authors propose a new framework of the multi-source and multi-temporal data-oriented fusion for the characterization of landslide events. The main objective is to generate 3D virtual models(in the form of dense point clouds) and feed them back with the characteristic of soil and subsoil information. The scheme consists of three main steps. The first one is on-site data collection(geological characterization, geophysical measurements, GPS measurements, and UAV/drone mapping). The second step is generation of a high-resolution 3D virtual model(~1-inch spatial resolution) from the frames acquired through the UAV using the structure of motion(SfM) processing;the developed virtual model is optimized with GPS measurements to minimize geolocation error and eliminate distortions. The last step is assembling of the acquired data in the field and densified point cloud considering the different nature of the data, re-escalating procedure and the information stacking layer. 展开更多
