This research pioneers the integration of geographic information systems(GIS)and 3D modeling within a virtual reality(VR)framework to assess the viability and planning of a 20 MW hybrid wind-solarphotovoltaic(PV)system connected to the local grid.The study focuses on Dakhla,Morocco,a region with vast untapped renewable energy potential.By leveraging GIS,we are innovatively analyzing geographical and environmental factors that influence optimal site selection and system design.The incorporation of VR technologies offers an unprecedented level of realism and immersion,allowing stakeholders to virtually experience the project's impact and design in a dynamic,interactive environment.This novel methodology includes extensive data collection,advanced modeling,and simulations,ensuring that the hybrid system is precisely tailored to the unique climatic and environmental conditions of Dakhla.Our analysis reveals that the region possesses a photovoltaic solar potential of approximately2400 k Wh/m^(2) per year,with an average annual wind power density of about 434 W/m^(2) at an 80-meter hub height.Productivity simulations indicate that the 20 MW hybrid system could generate approximately 60 GWh of energy per year and 1369 GWh over its 25-year lifespan.To validate these findings,we employed the System Advisor Model(SAM)software and the Global Solar Photovoltaic Atlas platform.This comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach not only provides a robust assessment of the system's feasibility but also offers valuable insights into its potential socio-economic and environmental impact. 展开更多

This paper analyzes diverse 3-D spatial phenomena from mine to geology and their complicated relations, and proposes several new kinds of spatial objects including cross-section, column body and digital surface model to represent some special spatial phenomena like tunnels and irregular surfaces of an ore body. An integrated data structure including vector, raster and object-oriented data models is used to represent various 3-D spatial objects and their relations. 为实现数值模拟获得的各种场数据与GIS空间信息的综合集成,有必要对GIS中融合有限元数值计算的方法开展研究。本文采用GRASS GIS、VTK等开源软件,通过Python语言建立了GIS与有限元模拟的复合系统开发框架,针对隧道开挖编写了3DGIS与有... 为实现数值模拟获得的各种场数据与GIS空间信息的综合集成,有必要对GIS中融合有限元数值计算的方法开展研究。本文采用GRASS GIS、VTK等开源软件,通过Python语言建立了GIS与有限元模拟的复合系统开发框架,针对隧道开挖编写了3DGIS与有限元数值计算无缝耦合分析程序(3DPyGisTFEM)。给出了由中心线上多条轮廓线生成隧道模型的算法,提出了对各地层DEM与隧道模型进行剖切运算获得隧道开挖地质剖面的方法。引入Delaunay网格剖分算法,对GIS中TIN模型不断改良,获得了适合有限元模拟的地质剖面三角形网格。基于多个剖面计算结果,运用插值手段,形成研究区域场数据,结合GIS空间分析方法,对场数据分布规律进行综合分析,实现了GIS与有限元的无缝耦合。黄家寨隧道工程实例表明,相对坡度、隧道中心线缓冲区等因素,地表距隧道拱顶高差的空间分布特征与地表沉降规律相关性更强。 展开更多

3D GIS最重要的特征之一就是虚拟现实表现,其本质是可视化技术与GIS数据库的整合,以满足各种应用如生态农业、灾害预测等方面的需求。以GIS数据库的环境数据和气象数据为基础,通过对雨雪的效果模拟,将GIS气象数据以实时的可视化形式逼... 3D GIS最重要的特征之一就是虚拟现实表现,其本质是可视化技术与GIS数据库的整合,以满足各种应用如生态农业、灾害预测等方面的需求。以GIS数据库的环境数据和气象数据为基础,通过对雨雪的效果模拟,将GIS气象数据以实时的可视化形式逼真地表现出来。实验方法采用粒子系统,对单个点元赋予利用Photoshop制作的大面积纹理,这样采用的粒子数减少到普通粒子系统的十分之一,渲染速度为普通粒子系统的十倍以上,以较小的系统资源消耗达到了更加实时逼真的效果,对雪的动态堆积和雨水地面效果采用GPU加速3维渲染,原型系统同时能接受用户对实验环境如粒子纹理、雨雪量的设置。提出根据气象数据进行天气模拟的自适应策略,从而更加适应实际应用需要。 展开更多

This paper presents the result of an investigation into the utility of the Structure Sensor developed by Occipital Inc.and accuracy of its output for 3D surveying of interiors of buildings in relation to Surveying(Cadastral Survey)Regulation 2005 in Victoria,Australia.The paper investigates data acquisition issues,defines guidelines to obtain the best reconstruction result,and evaluates the result against the requirements set by the Regulation.The findings suggest a mixed result.The sensor delivers more accurate outputs for the smaller room sizes.Also,the accuracy does not meet the requirements,but it was found to be close to what is expected in the Regulation.Finally,the paper argues that the device is user-friendly enough to be used by non-experts for crowdsourcing indoor information and,the accuracy of its output can meet the needs of other domains such as indoor navigation and public safety. 展开更多

Numerical simulation modeling is a hotspot in the geological engineering computing field. Tak- ing a fast Langrangian analysis of continua in 3 dimensions (FLAC3D) numerical modeling on com- puting the geo-deformation information caused by the mining subsidence in a coalmine for example, a new GIS-Excel modeling method is proposed to build geologic strata within the simulation range combined with the coal-seam dip angle of the underground mining working-planes. First of all, the coal-seam model of the numerical computing is built by using the geographic information system (GIS) according to the stripe-through principle and the calculating formula on the size of the model blocks in the paper defined, then the FLAC3D numerical computing model of all geologic strata with- in the simulation range is also built based on the calculating formula of thickness of each stratum and the Excel fast computing advantages. The GIS-Excel method is good at the higher modeling accuracy, seldom making mistakes and consuming less time. The reliability and validity of the method is veri- fied well by its practical applications in the coalmine area. 展开更多

A kind of 3D vector data model based on boundary representation for geological object and its topology was developed in order to model and visualize complex geological structures. Even Unzen volcano has been declared to be in a state of relative dormancy,the latest formed lava lobe No.11 now represents a potential slope failure mass based on the latest research.This paper concentrates on the stability of the lava lobe No.11 and its possible critical sliding mass.It proposes geographic information systems(GIS)based three-dimensional(3D)slope stability analysis models.It uses a 3D locating approach to identify the 3D critical slip surface and to analyze the 3D stability of the lava lobe No.11.At the same time,the new 3D approach shows the effectiveness in selecting the range of the Monte Carlo random variables and locating the critical slip surface in different parts of the lava lobe No.11.The results are very valuable for judging the stability of the lava lobe and assigning the monitoring equipments. 展开更多

Combining the GIS (geographic information systems) grid-based data with four proposed column-based 3D slope stability analysis models, a comprehensive solution of a high-steep open-pit slope has been obtained. For six searching ranges, 19 critical slip surfaces of different sizes have been studied, in which the minimum 3D safety factor is 1.33. Comparison of 3D safety factors of designed and proposed slope plans shows for all the critical slip surfaces for the proposed plan, the smallest 3D safety factor is 1.33 under the most unfavorable condition. This means that the proposed plan of the high slopes, about 600 m, of an open pit (2-5° steeper than designed plan) is feasible. 展开更多

In this paper, first we are going to discuss briefly the importance of 3D information, and its application because of the Increasing demand for detailed information about real world objects and phenomena including altimetry and planimetry data (X, Y, Z), then we will explain in short the available methods for 3D measurement. It’s important to note that the Information collection by itself cannot define and sufficiently provide all the necessary actions to be taken in order to get them accessible and useful for users. The data management and establishment of a proper and reliable DBMS and finally a GIS system at the same time are vital crucial in the course of 3D application that will be discussed throughout the paper. The existing drawbacks and elements needed to be considered for the cartographic presentation are the key issues in three-dimensional world visualization. The elaboration on the 3D information and its knowledge transfer to the users in a SDI framework as well as the requirement recognition of beneficiary organizations will be the next step in this paper and the most probable problems will be studied in this stage. 受环境复杂性影响,输电线路中的关键目标在可视化前后相似程度低。为此提出基于地理信息系统与YOLOv8算法的输电线路三维可视化方法。以输电线路图像和工程设计数据为基础,通过地理信息系统平台生成基础的输电线路三维可视化场景;利用... 受环境复杂性影响,输电线路中的关键目标在可视化前后相似程度低。为此提出基于地理信息系统与YOLOv8算法的输电线路三维可视化方法。以输电线路图像和工程设计数据为基础,通过地理信息系统平台生成基础的输电线路三维可视化场景;利用全景空间颜色域融合方法融合全景纹理,保证在重叠或者遮挡情况下三维场景的质量和视觉色彩;利用YOLOv8算法识别场景中输电线路的各个部分关键元素,学习元素间的共性特征,更准确地识别目标元素。结果表明:所提方法能够有效生成输电线路三维场景,关键目标元素之间的相似程度值均在0.935以上。所提方法可以有效实现输电线路三维可视化,能够为输电线路的智能化运营管理提供支持。 展开更多
