The sample La_ 0.3Ca_ 0.7Mn_ 0.96W_ 0.04O_3 was prepared by the solid-state method. Magnetic properties of La_ 0.3Ca_ 0.7Mn_ 0.96W_ 0.04O_3 was studied through the measurement of M-T curve, M-H curves and ESR curves of the sample. The results show that: charge ordering (CO) phase forms at 265 K; the system exhibits paramagnetism when T>265 K; it exhibits long-range anti-ferromagnetism (there is a little FM component in AFM background) and the coexistence of a little FM phase and AFM/CO phase forms when T<225 K; the system transforms from paramagnetism to antiferromagnetism in charge-ordering state with temperature decreasing from 265 to 225 K. The width of ESR spectrum line of the sample La_ 0.3Ca_ 0.7Mn_ 0.96W_ 0.04O_3 was measured, and the value of the line width of paramagnetic resonance ΔH_ PP increases with temperature decreasing, which indicates that ferromagnetic connection of the sample strengthens with temperature decreasing. 展开更多

Sintering characteristics of Ca-doped lanthanum chromite [La(Ca)CrO_3] powder, prepared by gel-casting process were studied by measuring density and the evaluation of micro structural information. Bi_2O_3 is found to be an effective sintering additive for this material. The amount of Bi_2O_3 is altered to investigate Bi_2O_3 effect on the properties of La_(0.7)Ca_(0.3)CrO_3. The amount of 10% (mass fraction) Bi_2O_3 is suitable to increase sinter-ability of La_(0.7)Ca_(0.3)CrO_3. Increased concentration of point defects arising form substitution of Bi in La site is the plausible cause of enhanced sintering. Measurement of electrical conductivity and thermal expansion coefficient indicate that the doping of Bi_2O_3 does not have any significant effect on these properties. 展开更多

In this work, oxygen vacancy-regulated La_(0.7)Ca_(0.3)MnO_(3-δ):Ag (LCMO:A) nanocomposite thin films onLaAlO_(3) (001) substrates were investigated to obtain films with large temperature coefficient of resistance(TCR) values. LCMO:A nanocomposite thin films were synthesized using pulsed laser deposition, andoxygen pressures during film deposition and annealing steps were optimized. As oxygen pressuresincreased, lattice parameter increased from 70 Pa to 100 Pa, Tp increased monotonically from 168 K to282 K, and average Mn^(4+) concentration in the film increased as indicated by X-ray photoemissionspectroscopy data. Record high TCR value of ~37% K^(-1) was achieved in LCMO:A nanocomposite thin filmprepared with optimal oxygen pressures, making this film promising candidate for applications inbolometers. 展开更多

The La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 +δ/Pr0.7Ca0.3MnO3 +δ/La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 +δ(LPL) trilayered films on (100)LaA-1O3 substrates are prepared by using direct current (DC) magnetron sputtering method. The results obtained by means of X-ray powder diffractometer show that all films are the high quality epitaxial films. The results gained by SQUID magnetometer indicate that there is a magnetic coupling in the LPL trilayered films. The resistivities of LSMO, PC-MO and LPL films are measured using standard four-probe method and analyzed log ρ/T curve. From the results it is concluded that the middle-layered PCMO which is ferromagnetic may play a role of intra-magnetic field, which weakens the paramagnetism of LSMO film, lowers ρmax and enlarges Tp which is the transition temperature from metal to insulator, just as the applied magnetic field does. And the middle-layered PCMO may induce the change of the density of states in the LSMO' s gap. The two reasons above make the resistivity and Tp of the samples in zero field change with the thickness of PCMO layers. 展开更多
