The close coupling calculation of state-to-state partial cross sections for collision of Ne with HC1 is first performed by employing the fitted interaction potential. This calculation is performed at the incident energies: 40, 60, 75 and 100 meV, separately. The effects of the long-range attractive and the short-range anisotropic interactions on the inelastic state-to-state partial cross sections are discussed in detail. Two maxima are present in the rotationally inelastic partial cross sections and they originate from different mechanisms.展开更多

The distribution of the scattering cross-section and total cross-section are evaluated analytically in different approximate conditions, and the physical interpretations are discussed. When the wavelength of incident wave is much longer than the vortex radius (kia〈〈1), it is found that the angle at which the scattering cross-section reaches its maxim depends significantly on the approximation of the parameters of the vortex used. It is also found that the total scattering cross-section has an affinitive relation with the parameters of the plasma, while it is irrelevant to the frequency of the incident wave in a wide range of parameters of the vortex. In a totally different range of parameters when incident wave is in the radar-frequency range (then kia 〈〈 1, the wavelength of incident wave is much shorter than the vortex radius), the numerical procedure is conducted with computer in order to obtain the distribution and the total expression of the scattering crosssection. Then it is found that the total scattering cross-section in the low frequency range is much larger than that in high frequency range, so the scattering is more effective in the low frequency range than in high frequency range.展开更多

Fully differential cross sections (FDCS) are calculated in the scattering plane and the results are compared with experimental data and other theoretical predictions. It is shown that the 3C results of the recoil peak are in very good agreement with experimental observations, and variation of the position of the binary peak with increasing momentum transfer also conforms better to the experimental results. Furthermore, the contributions of different scat- tering amplitudes are discussed. It turns out that the cross sections are strongly influenced by the interference of these amplitudes.展开更多

Guanzhuang and Leigu surveying lines are located at the northern portion of the fault belt, and the result indicates that the width of the rupture zone underground in this area is about 160 - 180 m. The center position of rupture zone underground corresponds to the surface breaking trace, and is equally distributed at the edges of the two fault walls. However, Hongkou surveying line is located at the southern portion of the fault belt, and the result indicates that the width of the rupture zone underground in this area is about 180 -200 m. The rupture zone underground is mainly distributed below fault scarp. The Wenchuan MsS. 0 earthquake and Lushan Ms7.0 earthquake both occurred at the Longmenshan fault belt. The results will provide information for the structure background of the two violent earthquakes.展开更多

According to the Hamiltonian of this system, the invariant of motion at the lowest order and the half-island widths at the corresponding resonances are obtained analytically using the Lie transformation method. It is shown that these theoretical results agree with the numerical ones from the Poincare surface of section. The regular motions from the invariant and the transition to stochasticity due to resonance overlapping are demonstrated. Compared to the case of a single wave, there may be a lower stochastic threshold in the multiple-wave problem.展开更多

We obtained the expression of absorption cross sectionσabs(ω)=π/ω^2 ∑ t=0^∞ (2l+1)|Tωl(ω)|^2=π/ω^2∑ t=0^∞(2l+1)Гωl(ω).Then we numerically carry out the absorption cross section and we find that the larger the angular momentum quantum number 1 is, the smaller the corresponding maximum value of the partial absorption cross section is, and that the total absorption cross section tends to the geometric-optical limit σhfabs≈ bc^2. We also find that higher value of ωq (state abs parameter of quintessence) corresponds to the higher value of absorption cross section gabs.展开更多

The dynamic properties such as reaction probability, integral cross section, differential cross section and the distribution of product are studied at state-to-state level of theory. Furthermore, the present results are compared with the theoretical studies available. The results indicate that the complex-forming reaction mechanism is dominated in the reaction in the low collision energy region and the abstract reaction mechanism plays a dominant role at high collision energies. Different from previous theoretical calculations, the side-ways scattering signals are found in the present work and become more and more apparent with increasing collision energy.展开更多

The dispersion relation for SH-wave propagation in slightly compressible, finitely deformed layer over- lying a slightly compressible, finitely deformed half-space is derived. The present paper Mso deals with the reflection and refraction (transmission) phenomena due to the SH wave incident at the plane interface between two distinct slightly compressible, finitely deformed elastic media. The closed form expressions for the amplitude ratios of reflection and refraction coefficients of the reflected and refracted SH waves are obtained from suit- able boundary conditions. For the numerical discussions, we consider the Neo-Hookean form of a strain energy function. The phase speed curves, the variations of reflection, and transmission coefficients with the angle of incidence, and the plots of the slowness sections are presented by means of graphs.展开更多

The calculated results show that, with the increase in the nuclear charge number Z, the amplitude of triple differential cross sections decreases. The angle difference between the binary peak position and the direction of momentum transfer gradually increases with the increase in the nuclear charge Z, and a new structure appears at an ejected angle 90° 〈 θ2 〈 120°. The angles 4°, 10° and 20° were selected as the scattering electron angles. Under high incident energy (≥500 eV) and high asymmetric detection energy, the binary peaks showed abnormal splits. Such abnormal splits have not been observed in atomic target and outer valence orbitals of ionic target, which indicates that an (e, 2e) process for inner valence orbitals of ionic target would be more complicated than outer valence orbitals. Furthermore, some pronounced peaks appeared at certain ejected angles. We considered that these pronounced peaks are probably related to one kind of double-binary collision.展开更多
