Based on the analysis of the structure and working principl...Stirring uniformity of mixture depends not only on structural parameters of the mixer, motion parameters, but also to a large extent on the using parameters. Based on the analysis of the structure and working principle of mixer, these factors that affecting mixer performance was studied. The mathematical model of mixer performance characteristics was established by theoretical analysis, which associated with the mechanical structure, motion parameters and using parameters. According to the mathematical model, the effects of the mixer filling rate, stirring time, and other using parameters on the uniformity were studied. In each stirring cycle, the minimum number of revolutions formula for shaft was obtained. In addition, in different filling rates, the relationship between stirring shaft rotation laps and stirring uniformity was obtained too. Finally, full-scale experimental verification was conducted.展开更多

The modal dispersion curves are employed to estimate the sound speed profile(SSP) and geoacoustic parameters based on the ensemble Kalman filter. The warping transform is implemented to the signals received by a single hydrophone to obtain the dispersion curves. The experimental data are collected at a range-independent shallow water site in the South China Sea. The results indicate that the SSPs are well estimated and the geoacoustic parameters are also well determined. Comparisons of the observed and estimated modal dispersion curves show good agreement.展开更多

The system utilizes a sequence of high-freq...We establish a system to measure the functional absorption cross section of photosystem lI (PSII) (O-PSII) and maximum quantum yield of photochemistry in PSII (Fv/Fm). The system utilizes a sequence of high-frequency excitation flashes at microsecond intervals to induce a microsecond-level fluorescence yield curve. Parameters o-Psii and Fv/Fm are calculated by fitting the curve using nonlinear regression. Experimental results show that the relative standard deviation (RSD) of the system is less than 3%, and the correlation coefficient of Fv/Fm values measured by this system and those measured by pulse amplitude modulation method is 0.950.展开更多

In this work, the capabilities of the...A vectorial optical field generator(VOF-Gen) based on two reflective phase-only liquid crystal spatial light modulators enables the creation of an arbitrary optical complex field. In this work, the capabilities of the VOF-Gen in terms of manipulating the spatial distributions of phase, amplitude, and polarization are experimentally demonstrated by generating a radially polarized optical field consisted of five annular rings, the focusing properties of which are also numerically studied with vectorial diffraction theory. By carefully adjusting the relative amplitude and phase between the adjacent rings, an optical needle field with purely longitudinal polarization can be produced in the focal region of a high numerical aperture lens. The versatile method presented in this work can be easily extended to the generation of a vectorial optical field with any desired complex distributions.展开更多
