The H_∞ performance analysis and controller design for linear networked control systems(NCSs) are presented.The NCSs are considered a linear continuous system with time-varying interval input delay by assuming that the sensor is time-driven and the logic Zero-order-holder(ZOH) and controller are event-driven.Based on this model,the delay interval is divided into two equal subintervals for H_∞ performance analysis.An improved H_∞ stabilization condition is obtained in linear matrix inequalities(LMIs) framework by adequately considering the information about the bounds of the input delay to construct novel Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals(LKFs).For the purpose of reducing the conservatism of the proposed results,the bounds of the LKFs differential cross terms are properly estimated without introducing any slack matrix variables.Moreover,the H_∞ controller is reasonably designed to guarantee the robust asymptotic stability for the linear NCSs with an H_∞ performance level γ.Numerical simulation examples are included to validate the reduced conservatism and effectiveness of our proposed method. 展开更多

This paper is concerned with controller design of net- worked control systems (NCSs) with both network-induced delay and arbitrary packet dropout. By using a packet-loss-dependent Lyapunov function, sufficient conditions for state/output feedback stabilization and corresponding control laws are derived via a switched system approach. Different from the existing results, the proposed stabilizing controllers design is dependent on the packet loss occurring in the last two transmission intervals due to the network-induced delay. The cone complementary lineara- tion (CCL) methodology is used to solve the non-convex feasibility problem by formulating it into an optimization problem subject to linear matrix inequality (LMI) constraints. Numerical examples and simulations are worked out to demonstrate the effectiveness and validity of the proposed techniques. 展开更多

Delay aware routing is now widely used to provide efficient network transmission. However, for newly developing or developed mobile communication networks(MCN), only limited delay data can be obtained. In such a network, the delay is with epistemic uncertainty, which makes the traditional routing scheme based on deterministic theory or probability theory not applicable. Motivated by this problem, the MCN with epistemic uncertainty is first summarized as a dynamic uncertain network based on uncertainty theory, which is widely applied to model epistemic uncertainties. Then by modeling the uncertain end-toend delay, a new delay bounded routing scheme is proposed to find the path with the maximum belief degree that satisfies the delay threshold for the dynamic uncertain network. Finally, a lowEarth-orbit satellite communication network(LEO-SCN) is used as a case to verify the effectiveness of our routing scheme. It is first modeled as a dynamic uncertain network, and then the delay bounded paths with the maximum belief degree are computed and compared under different delay thresholds. 展开更多

Significant progress has been made in the theory of impulsive systems and impulsive delay systems in recent years. However, the corresponding theory for uncertain impulsive systems and uncertain impulsive delay systems has not been fully developed. In this paper, robust stability criteria are established for uncertain linear delay impulsive systems by using Lyapunov function, Razumikhin techniques and the results obtained. This paper deals with the problem of designing robust sequential covariance intersection(SCI)fusion Kalman filter for the clustering multi-agent sensor network system with measurement delays and uncertain noise variances.The sensor network is partitioned into clusters by the nearest neighbor rule.Using the minimax robust estimation principle,based on the worst-case conservative sensor network system with conservative upper bounds of noise variances,and applying the unbiased linear minimum variance(ULMV)optimal estimation rule,we present the two-layer SCI fusion robust steady-state Kalman filter which can reduce communication and computation burdens and save energy sources,and guarantee that the actual filtering error variances have a less-conservative upper-bound.A Lyapunov equation method for robustness analysis is proposed,by which the robustness of the local and fused Kalman filters is proved.The concept of the robust accuracy is presented and the robust accuracy relations of the local and fused robust Kalman filters are proved.It is proved that the robust accuracy of the global SCI fuser is higher than those of the local SCI fusers and the robust accuracies of all SCI fusers are higher than that of each local robust Kalman filter.A simulation example for a tracking system verifies the robustness and robust accuracy relations. 展开更多

The uncertainty is assumed to be norm-bounded. By establishing a finite sum inequality based on quadratic terms, a new delay-dependent robust stability condition is derived and expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). A suitable robust state feedback control law is presented, which guarantees that the resultant closed-loop system is regular, causal and stable for all admissible uncertainties. This paper investigates the mixed Ho~ and passive projective synchronization problem for fractional-order (FO) memristor-based neural networks. Our aim is to design a controller such that, though the unavoidable phenomena of time-delay and parameter uncertainty are fully considered, the resulting closed-loop system is asymptotically stable with a mixed H∞ and passive performance level. By combining active and adaptive control methods, a novel hybrid control strategy is designed, which can guarantee the robust stability of the closed-loop system and also ensure a mixed H∞ and passive performance level. Via the application of FO Lyapunov stability theory, the projective synchronization conditions are addressed in terms of linear matrix inequaiity techniques. Finally, two simulation examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

This paper studies the global exponential synchronization of uncertain complex delayed dynamical networks. The network model considered is general dynamical delay networks with unknown network structure and unknown coupling functions but bounded. Novel delay-dependent linear controllers are designed via the Lyapunov stability theory. Especially, it is shown that the controlled networks are globally exponentially synchronized with a given convergence rate. An example of typical dynamical network of this class, having the Lorenz system at each node, has been used to demonstrate and verify the novel design proposed. And, the numerical simulation results show the effectiveness of proposed synchronization approaches. 展开更多

The parameter uncertainty is continuous, time varying, and norm-bounded. The state delay is unknown and time varying. The states of the system are not all measurable and an observer is constructed to estimate the states. If a linear matrix inequality (LMI) is solvable, the gains of the controller and observer can be obtained from the solution of the LMI. The observer and controller are dependent on the size of time delay and on the size of delay derivative. The sufficient conditions of stability for uncertain discrete-time systems with state delay have been proposed by some researchers in the past few years, yet these results may be conservative in application. The stability analysis of these systems is discussed, and the necessary and sufficient condition of stability is derived by method other than constructing Lyapunov function and solving Riccati inequality. The root locations of system characteristic polynomial, which is obtained by augmentation approach and Laplace expansion, determine the stability of uncertain discrete-time systems with state delay, the system is stable if and only if all roots lie within the unit circle. In order to analyze robust stability of system characteristic polynomial effectively, Kharitonov theorem and edge theorem are applied. Example shows the practicability of these methods. 展开更多
