However, for newly developing or developed mobile communication networks(MCN), only limited delay data can be obtained. In such a network, the delay is with epistemic uncertainty, which makes the traditional routing scheme based on deterministic theory or probability theory not applicable. Motivated by this problem, the MCN with epistemic uncertainty is first summarized as a dynamic uncertain network based on uncertainty theory, which is widely applied to model epistemic uncertainties. Then by modeling the uncertain end-toend delay, a new delay bounded routing scheme is proposed to find the path with the maximum belief degree that satisfies the delay threshold for the dynamic uncertain network. Finally, a lowEarth-orbit satellite communication network(LEO-SCN) is used as a case to verify the effectiveness of our routing scheme. It is first modeled as a dynamic uncertain network, and then the delay bounded paths with the maximum belief degree are computed and compared under different delay thresholds.展开更多

Data broadcast is an effective means for data dissemination in mobile networks. In this paper, the def'mition of the mean uncertainty ratio of data is presented and a broadcasting scheme is proposed for uncertain data dissemination. Simulation results show that the scheme can reduce the uncertainty of the broadcasted uncertain data effectively at the cost of a minor increase in data access time, in the case of no transmission error and presence of transmission errors. As a result, lower uncertainty of data benefits the qualifies of the query results based on the data.展开更多

Hence it requires investigating the problem of uncertain information fusion. Robust learning algorithm which adapts to complex environment and the fuzzy inference algorithm which disposes fuzzy information are explored to solve the problem. Based on the fusion technology of neural networks and fuzzy inference algorithm, a multi-sensor uncertain information fusion system is modeled. Also RANFIS learning algorithm and fusing weight synthesized inference algorithm are developed from the ANFIS algorithm according to the concept of robust neural networks. This fusion system mainly consists of RANFIS confidence estimator, fusing weight synthesized inference knowledge base and weighted fusion section. The simulation result demonstrates that the proposed fusion model and algorithm have the capability of uncertain information fusion, thus is obviously advantageous compared with the conventional Kalman weighted fusion algorithm.展开更多

The network model considered is general dynamical delay networks with unknown network structure and unknown coupling functions but bounded. Novel delay-dependent linear controllers are designed via the Lyapunov stability theory. Especially, it is shown that the controlled networks are globally exponentially synchronized with a given convergence rate. An example of typical dynamical network of this class, having the Lorenz system at each node, has been used to demonstrate and verify the novel design proposed. A smooth controller is designed to guarantee a uniform ultimate boundedness property for the tracking error and all other signals in the dosed loop. Certain measures are utilized to test its performance. No a priori knowledge of an upper bound on the “optimal” weight and modeling error is required; the weights of neural networks are updated on-line. Numerical simulations performed on a simple example illustrate and clarify the approach.展开更多

Several sufficient conditions are derived to guarantee the network synchronisation by investigating the relationship among pinning synchronisation, network topology, and coupling strength. Also, some fundamental and yet challenging problems in the pinning control of complex networks are discussed: (1) what nodes should be selected as pinned candidates? (2) How many nodes are needed to be pinned for a fixed coupling strength? Furthermore, an adaptive pinning control scheme is developed. In order to achieve synchronisation of an uncertain complex network, the adaptive tuning strategy of either the coupling strength or the control gain is utilised. As an illustrative example, a network with the Lorenz system as node self-dynamics is simulated to verify the efficacy of theoretical results.展开更多

The uncertainty of the data in wireless sensor networks makes the corresponding skyline uncertain and not unique. This paper investigates the Pr-Skyline problem, i.e., how to compute the skyline with the highest existence probability in a computational and energy-efficient way. We formulate the problem and prove that it is NP-Complete and cannot be approximated in a given expression. However, the proposed algorithm SKY-SEARCH with pruning techniques can guarantee the computational efficiency given relatively large input size, while the filter-based distributed optimization strategy significantly reduces the transmission cost and the required storage space of the sensor nodes. Extensive experiments verify the efficiency and scalability of SKY-SEARCH and the distributed optimizing strategy.展开更多

The robot cannot accomplish the desired actions of the remote operator in time, which severely impairs reliability and efficiency of the robot system. This paper investigated a novel approach, learning user intention, to compensate the uncertain time delay with the autonomy of a mobile robot. The user intention to control and operate the robot was modeled and incrementally inferred based on Bayesian techniques so that the desired actions could be recognized and completed by the robot autonomously. Thus the networked robot is able to fulfill the task assigned without frequent interaction with the user, which decreases data transmission and improves the efficiency of the whole system.
