Parameterizations of drag coefficients rather than constant values provide us a way to look insight into the dependence of these characteristics on sea ice conditions. In the present study, the parameterized ice drag coefficients are included into a free-drift sea ice dynamic model, and the wind factor a and the deflection angle θ between sea ice drift and wind velocity as well as the ratio of Ca to Cw are studied to investigate their dependence on the impact factors such as local drag coefficients, floe and ridge geometry. The results reveal that in an idealized steady ocean, Ca/Cw increases obviously with the increasing ice concentration for small ice floes in the marginal ice zone, while it remains at a steady level (0.2-0.25) for large floes in the central ice zone. The wind factor a increases rapidly at first and approaches a steady level of 0.018 when A is greater than 20%. And the deflection angle ~ drops rapidly from an initial value of approximate 80° and decreases slowly as A is greater than 20% without a steady level like a. The values of these parameters agree well with the previously reported observations in Arctic. The ridging intensity is an important parameter to determine the dominant contribution of the ratio of skin friction drag coefficient (Cs'/Cs) and the ratio of ridge form drag coefficient (Cr'/Cr) to the value of Ca/Cw, a, and 8, because of the dominance of ridge form drag for large ridging intensity and skin friction for small ridging intensity among the total drag forces. Parameterization of sea ice drag coefficients has the potential to be embedded into ice dynamic models to better account for the variability of sea ice in the transient Arctic Ocean.展开更多

These parameters are used to describe the stability of the phase boundary between the upper and lower mantle. It is crucial to understand the influence of various factors on its superconductivity. By refining the determinant quantum Monte Carlo algorithm, we characterize the parameter dependence of the superconducting transition temperature within a bilayer Hubbard model, which is sign-problem-free at arbitrary filling. A striking feature of this model is its similarity to the bilayer nickelate-based superconductor La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7), where superconductivity emerges from the bilayer NiO_(2) planes. We find that interlayer spin-exchange J is critical to interlayer pairing, and that on-site interaction U contributes negatively to superconductivity at low doping levels but positively at high doping levels. Our findings can provide a reference for the next step in theoretical research on nickelate-based superconductors.展开更多

In order to establish the constitutive relation of NAB under high strain rate condition, a new methodology was proposed to accurately identify the constitutive parameters of Johnson?Cook model in machining, combining SHPB tests, predictive cutting force model and orthogonal cutting experiment. Firstly, SHPB tests were carried out to obtain the true stress?strain curves at various temperatures and strain rates. Then, an objective function of the predictive and experimental flow stresses was set up, which put the identified parameters of SHPB tests as the initial value, and utilized the PSO algorithm to identify the constitutive parameters of NAB in machining. Finally, the identified parameters were verified to be sufficiently accurate by comparing the values of cutting forces calculated from the predictive model and FEM simulation.展开更多

To reduce the solution difficulty and the calculation amount, if a distributed parameter system is described by ordinary differential equations (ODE) during the analysis and the design of distributed parameter system, the reliability of the system description will be reduced, and the systemic errors will be introduced. Studies on working condition real-time monitoring can improve the security because the rechargeable LIBs are widely used in many electronic systems and electromechanical equipment. Single particle model (SPM) is the simplification of LIB under some approximations, and can estimate the working parameters of a LIB at the faster simulation speed. A LIB modelling algorithm based on PDEs and SPM is proposed to monitor the working condition of LIBs in real time. Although the lithium ion concentration is an unmeasurable distributed parameter in the anode of LIB, the working condition monitoring model can track the real time lithium ion concentration in the anode of LIB, and calculate the residual which is the difference between the ideal data and the measured data. A fault alarm can be triggered when the residual is beyond the preset threshold. A simulation example verifies that the effectiveness and the accuracy of the working condition real-time monitoring model of LIB based on PDEs and SPM.展开更多

Comparing the equation of isosaline scheme with that of salinity profile scheme, we found that there was one different term between the two schemes named the salinity different term. The thermodynamic effect of the salinity difference term on sea ice thickness and sea ice concentration showed that: in the freezing processes from November to next May, the sea ice temperature could rise on the influence of the salinity difference term and restrain sea ice freezing; at the first melting phase from June to August, the upper ice melting rate was faster than the lower ice melting rate. Then sea ice temperature could rise and accelerate the sea ice melting; at the second melting phase from September to October, the upper ice melting rate was slower than the lower ice melting rate, then sea ice temperature could decrease and restrain sea ice melting. However, the effect of the salinity difference term on the sea ice thickness and sea ice concentration was weak. To analyze the impacts of the salinity different term on Arctic sea ice thickness and sea ice concentration, we also designed several experiments by introducing the two salinity parameterizations to the ice-ocean coupled model, Modular Ocean Model (MOM4), respectively. The simulated results confirmed the previous results of formula derivation.展开更多

文摘Simple parameterized models, either whole mantle convection or layered mantleconvection, cannot explain the tectonic characteristics of the Earth's evolution history, therefore a mixed mantle convection model has been carried out in this paper. We introduce a time-dependent parameter F, which denotes the ratio betWeen the mantle material involved in whole mantle convection and the material of the entire mantle, and introduce a local Rayleigh number Raloc as well as two critical numbers Ra1 and Ra2. These parameters are used to describe the stability of the phase boundary between the upper and lower mantle. The result shows that the mixed mantle convection model is able to simulate the episodic tectonic evolution of the Earth.

文摘The Hengduan Mountains are susceptible to hydrological disasters, with precipitation representing a significant risk factor. For effective disaster mitigation strategies, accurate rainfall simulation is essential, typically achieved through the use of numerical models. Some research has indicated that using a convection-permitting model(CPM)at high resolution(<4 km)could provide more precise rainfall estimates than traditional cumulus parameterization schemes(CPs)at lower resolutions, but CPM demands substantial computational resources. Therefore,to assess whether CPM maintains superior simulation accuracy, this study employed the Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF)model to simulate summer precipitation over the Hengduan Mountains in 2009,comparing CPM(4 km)and CPs(10 km)resolutions. The simulations were evaluated against satellite observations to quantify their performance differences. The results showed that all simulations overestimated amounts and frequency. The CPM outperformed most CPs,except the Tiedtke scheme, which exhibited Root Mean Square Errors(RMSEs)of 2.51 mm·day^(-1) for amount and 5.63%for frequency. The CPM had slightly higher RMSEs of 2.80 mm·day^(-1) and 6.98%,respectively.Both CPM and Tiedtke captured the spatial distribution of precipitation, but overestimations occurred in central and southern regions and underestimations in river valleys. While Tiedtke demonstrated superiority in various aspects,CPM provided more detail.Additionally, the study noted significant differences in diurnal variation at intermediate altitudes and found correlations between rainfall amounts and convective available potential energy(CAPE),frequency, and outgoing longwave radiation(OLR),respectively.Consequently, the Tiedtke scheme is suggested as a more resource-efficient alternative to CPM for simulating precipitation in the Hengduan Mountains.

文摘The constitutive model is essential for predicting the deformation and stability of rocksoil mass. The estimation of constitutive model parameters is a necessary and important task for the reliable characterization of mechanical behaviors. However, constitutive model parameters cannot be evaluated accurately with a limited amount of test data, resulting in uncertainty in the prediction of stress-strain curves. This paper proposes a Bayesian analysis framework to address this issue. It combines the Bayesian updating with the structural reliability and adaptive conditional sampling methods to assess the equation parameter of constitutive models.Based on the triaxial and ring shear tests on shear zone soils from the Huangtupo landslide,a statistical damage constitutive model and a critical state hypoplastic constitutive model were used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework. Moreover, the parameter uncertainty effects of the damage constitutive model on landslide stability were investigated. Results show that reasonable assessments of the constitutive model parameter can be well realized. The variability of stress-strain curves is strongly related to the model prediction performance. The estimation uncertainty of constitutive model parameters should not be ignored for the landslide stability calculation. Our study provides a reference for uncertainty analysis and parameter assessment of the constitutive model.

文摘Promoting the high penetration of renewable energies like photovoltaic(PV)systems has become an urgent issue for expanding modern power grids and has accomplished several challenges compared to existing distribution grids. This study measures the effectiveness of the Puma optimizer(PO)algorithm in parameter estimation of PSC(perovskite solar cells)dynamic models with hysteresis consideration considering the electric field effects on operation. The models used in this study will incorporate hysteresis effects to capture the time-dependent behavior of PSCs accurately. The PO optimizes the proposed modified triple diode model(TDM)with a variable voltage capacitor and resistances(VVCARs)considering the hysteresis behavior. The suggested PO algorithm contrasts with other wellknown optimizers from the literature to demonstrate its superiority. The results emphasize that the PO realizes a lower RMSE(Root mean square errors),which proves its capability and efficacy in parameter extraction for the models. The statistical results emphasize the efficiency and supremacy of the proposed PO compared to the other well-known competing optimizers. The convergence rates show good, fast, and stable convergence rates with lower RMSE via PO compared to the other five competitive optimizers. Moreover, the lowermean realized via the PO optimizer is illustrated by the box plot for all optimizers.

文摘The complex geometrical features of mechanical components significantly influence contact interactions and system dynamics. However, directly modeling contact forces on surfaces with intricate geometries presents considerable challenges. This study focuses on the helically twisted wire rope-sheave contact and proposes a contact force model that incorporates complex geometric features through a parameter identification approach. The model's impact on contact forces and system dynamics is thoroughly investigated.Leveraging a point contact model and an elliptic integral approximation,a loss function is formulated using the finite element(FE)contact model results as the reference data.Geometric parameters are subsequently determined by optimizing this loss function via a genetic algorithm(GA).The findings reveal that the contact stiffness increases with the wire rope pitch length, the radius of principal curvature, and the elliptic eccentricity of the contact zone. The proposed contact force model is integrated into a rigid-flexible coupled dynamics model, developed by the absolute node coordinate formulation,to examine the effects of contact geometry on system dynamics. The results demonstrate that the variations in wire rope geometry alter the contact stiffness, which in turn affects dynamic rope tension through frictional energy dissipation. The enhanced model's predictions exhibit superior alignment with the experimental data, thereby validating the methodology. This approach provides new insights for deducing the contact geometry from kinetic parameters and monitoring the performance degradation of mechanical components.

文摘Accurate and reliable photovoltaic(PV)modeling is crucial for the performance evaluation, control, and optimization of PV systems. However, existing methods for PV parameter identification often suffer from limitations in accuracy and efficiency. To address these challenges,we propose an adaptive multi-learning cooperation search algorithm(AMLCSA)for efficient identification of unknown parameters in PV models.AMLCSA is a novel algorithm inspired by teamwork behaviors in modern enterprises. It enhances the original cooperation search algorithm in two key aspects:(i)an adaptive multi-learning strategy that dynamically adjusts search ranges using adaptive weights, allowing better individuals to focus on local exploitation while guiding poorer individuals toward global exploration;and(ii)a chaotic grouping reflection strategy that introduces chaotic sequences to enhance population diversity and improve search performance. The effectiveness of AMLCSA is demonstrated on single-diode,double-diode,and three PV-module models.Simulation results show that AMLCSA offers significant advantages in convergence, accuracy, and stability compared to existing state-of-the-art algorithms.

文摘Recent discovery of high transition temperature superconductivity in La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7) has sparked renewed theoretical and experimental interests in unconventional superconductivity. Our findings can provide a reference for the next step in theoretical research on nickelate-based superconductors.
文摘Accurate modeling and parameter estimation of sea clutter are fundamental for effective sea surface target detection. With the improvement of radar resolution, sea clutter exhibits a pronounced heavy-tailed characteristic, rendering traditional distribution models and parameter estimation methods less effective. To address this, this paper proposes a dual compound-Gaussian model with inverse Gaussian texture(CG-IG)distribution model and combines it with an improved Adam algorithm to introduce a method for parameter correction. This method effectively fits sea clutter with heavy-tailed characteristics.Experiments with real measured sea clutter data show that the dual CGIG distribution model, after parameter correction, accurately describes the heavy-tailed phenomenon in sea clutter amplitude distribution, and the overall mean square error of the distribution is reduced.

文摘In this paper,we consider a multiple-input single-output(MISO)Hammerstein system whose inputs and output are disturbed by unknown Gaussian white measurement noises. The parameter estimation of such a system is a typical errors-in-variables(EIV)nonlinear system identification problem. This paper proposes a bias-correction least squares(BCLS)identification methods to compute a consistent estimate of EIV MISO Hammerstein systems from noisy data.To obtain the unbiased parameter estimates of EIV MISO Hammerstein system, the analytical expression of estimated bias for the standard least squares(LS)algorithm is derived first, which is a function about the variances of noises. And then a recursive algorithm is proposed to estimate the unknown term of noises variances from noisy data. Finally, based on bias estimation scheme, the bias caused by the correlation between the input–output signals exciting the true system and the corresponding measurement noise, resulting in unbiased parameter estimates of the EIV MISO Hammerstein system. The performance of the proposed method is demonstrated through a simulation example and a chemical continuously stirred tank reactor(CSTR)system.

文摘The material of nickel aluminum bronze (NAB) presents superior properties such as high strength, excellent wear resistance and stress corrosion resistance and is extensively used for marine propellers. Finally, the identified parameters were verified to be sufficiently accurate by comparing the values of cutting forces calculated from the predictive model and FEM simulation.
文摘Lithium ion batteries are complicated distributed parameter systems that can be described preferably by partial differential equations and a field theory. A simulation example verifies that the effectiveness and the accuracy of the working condition real-time monitoring model of LIB based on PDEs and SPM.

文摘In this study, we mainly introduce two salinity parameterization schemes used in Sea Ice Simulator (SIS), that is, isosaline scheme and salinity profile scheme. The simulated results confirmed the previous results of formula derivation.

文摘According to the earlier international studies on the coupled iceocean model and the hydrology, meteorology, and icefeatures in the Bohai Sea, a coupled iceocean model is developed based on the National Marine EnvironmentForecast Centers (NMEFC) numerical forecasting ice model of the Bohai Sea and the Princeton ocean model (POM).In the coupled model, the transfer of momentum and heat between ocean and ice is two-way, and the change of icethickness and concentration depends on heat budget not only at the surface and bottom of ice, but also at the surfaceof open water between ices. The dynamic and thermodynamic coupling process is expatiated emphatically. Somethermodynamic parameters are discussed as well.

文摘A simple frozen soil parameterization scheme is developed based on NCAR LSM and the effects of re-vised scheme are investigated using Former Soviet Union (FSU) 6 stations measurement data. In the revised model, soil ice content and the energy change in phase change process is considered; the original soil thermal conductivity scheme is replaced by Johanson scheme and the soil thermal and hydraulic properties is modi-fied depending on soil ice content. The comparison of original model with revised model results indicates that the frozen soil scheme can reasonably simulate the energy budget in soil column and the variation of thermal and hydraulic properties as the soil ice content changes. Soil moisture in spring is decreased because of the reduction of infiltration and increment of runoff. Consequently, the partition of heat flux and surface temperature changes correspondingly.
