Railway noise barriers are an essential piece of infrastructure for reducing noise propagation.However,these barriers experience aerodynamic loads generated by high-speed trains,leading to dynamic effects that may com...Railway noise barriers are an essential piece of infrastructure for reducing noise propagation.However,these barriers experience aerodynamic loads generated by high-speed trains,leading to dynamic effects that may compromise their fatigue capacity.The most common structural design for railway noise barriers consists of vertical configurations of posts and panels.However,there have been few dynamic analyses of steel post/wood panel noise barriers under train-induced aerodynamic loads.This study used dynamic finite element analysis to assess the dynamic behavior of such noise barriers.Analysis of a 40-m-long noise barrier model and a triangular simplified load model,the latter of which effectively represented the detailed aerodynamic load,were first used to establish the model and input of the moving load during dynamic simulation.Then,the effects of different parameters on the dynamic response of the noise barrier were evaluated,including the damping ratio,the profile of the steel post,the span length of the panel,the barrier height,and the train speed.Gray relational analysis indicated that barrier height exhibited the highest correlations with the dynamic responses,followed by train speed,post profile,span length,and damping ratio.A reduction in the natural frequency and an increase in the train speed result in a higher peak response and more pronounced fluctuations between the nose and tail waves.The dynamic amplification factor(DAF)was found to be related to both the natural frequency and train speed.A model was proposed showing that the DAF significantly increases as the square of the natural frequency decreases and the cube of the train speed rises.展开更多
Load frequency control(LFC)is a critical function to balance the power consumption and generation.Thegrid frequency is a crucial indicator for maintaining balance.However,the widely used information and communication ...Load frequency control(LFC)is a critical function to balance the power consumption and generation.Thegrid frequency is a crucial indicator for maintaining balance.However,the widely used information and communication infrastructure for LFC increases the risk of being attacked by malicious actors.The dynamic load altering attack(DLAA)is a typical attack that can destabilize the power system,causing the grid frequency to deviate fromits nominal value.Therefore,in this paper,we mathematically analyze the impact of DLAA on the stability of the grid frequency and propose the network parameter regulation(NPR)to mitigate the impact.To begin with,the dynamic LFC model is constructed by highlighting the importance of the network parameter.Then,we model the DLAA and analyze its impact on LFC using the theory of second-order dynamic systems.Finally,we model the NPR and prove its effect in mitigating the DLAA.Besides,we construct a least-effort NPR considering its infrastructure cost and aim to reduce the operation cost.Finally,we carry out extensive simulations to demonstrate the impact of the DLAA and evaluate the mitigation performance of NPR.The proposed cost-benefit NPR approach can not only mitigate the impact of DLAA with 100%and also save 41.18$/MWh in terms of the operation cost.展开更多
Significant diurnal temperature variations in mountainous rack railways cause stiffness mismatches between the rack structure and simply supported bridges,leading to critical failures like bolt loosening and rack frac...Significant diurnal temperature variations in mountainous rack railways cause stiffness mismatches between the rack structure and simply supported bridges,leading to critical failures like bolt loosening and rack fractures.This study develops a dynamic model of the vehicle-rack-bridge system based on train-track-bridge interaction theory,integrating gear-rack meshing and wheel-rail contact mechanisms.The model analyzes the dynamic response of bridges with varying spans under combined thermal and dynamic loading.Numerical simulations,conducted using finite element analysis,reveal peak vibration accelerations of 1.3 m/s^(2)for the rack,3.0 m/s^(2)for the rail,1.2 m/s^(2)for the sleeper,and 0.1 m/s^(2)for the bridge,with maximum stresses of 3 MPa in the rack,8 MPa in the rail,and 25 MPa in connecting bolts.The results show significant span-dependent amplification of stress and strain in the rack system under thermo-mechanical loading,exceeding material strength limits at 60-meter spans.An innovative elastic connection method is proposed to mitigate stress concentrations effectively,en-hancing system durability.This study introduces a novel approach to modeling complex thermo-mechanical interactions in rack railway systems,validated through extensive simulations,and provides a practical solution for improving structural resilience,offering theoretical guidance for optimizing rack-bridge system design to ensure operational safety in extreme environmental conditions.展开更多
Red clay,widely used as a subgrade material in southern China,requires a reliable evaluation of its dynamic behavior to ensure infrastructure safety.Long-term cyclic triaxial tests were conducted on red clay from typi...Red clay,widely used as a subgrade material in southern China,requires a reliable evaluation of its dynamic behavior to ensure infrastructure safety.Long-term cyclic triaxial tests were conducted on red clay from typical,complex subway subgrades to investigate its dynamic properties and shakedown behavior under intermittent cyclic loading.Results show that intermittent cyclic loading,especially with multiple amplitudes,causes greater axial plastic strain and lower post-cyclic strength than continuous loading.These effects diminish with increasing confining pressure.Notably,axial strain partially recovers during loading intervals,with recovery ratios depending on the number and sequence of pauses.Based on the rules of cumulative plastic strain rates and cumulative plastic strain increments,shakedown behavior for red clay under intermittent cyclic loading is divided into three categories:plastic shakedown,critical shakedown,and plastic creep.A quantitative shakedown limit criterion is proposed using the Boltzmann function.Shakedown behavior significantly influences the post-cyclic strengths,and the influence diminishes as confining pressure increases.Samples exhibiting plastic creep and plastic shakedown behavior have the lowest and highest strengths,and those with critical shakedown behaviors have medium strengths.Cyclic loading with relatively low-stress amplitude causes a hardening effect,while cyclic loading intermittence or cyclic loading with relatively high-stress amplitude causes a degradation effect,and both effects are mitigated by higher confining pressures.展开更多

Controllable shock wave fracturing is an innovative engineering technique used for shale reservoir fracturing and reformation.Understanding the anisotropic fracture mechanism of shale under impact loading is vital for...Controllable shock wave fracturing is an innovative engineering technique used for shale reservoir fracturing and reformation.Understanding the anisotropic fracture mechanism of shale under impact loading is vital for optimizing shock wave fracturing equipment and enhancing shale oil production.In this study,using the well-known notched semi-circular bend(NSCB)sample and the novel double-edge notched flattened Brazilian disc(DNFBD)sample combined with a split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB),various dynamic anisotropic fracture properties of Lushan shale,including failure characteristics,fracture toughness,energy dissipation and crack propagation velocity,are comprehensively compared and discussed under mode Ⅰ and mode Ⅱ fracture scenarios.First,using a newly modified fracture criterion considering the strength anisotropy of shale,the DNFBD specimen is predicted to be a robust method for true mode Ⅱ fracture of anisotropic shale rocks.Our experimental results show that the dynamic mode Ⅱ fracture of shale induces a rougher and more complex fracture morphology and performs a higher fracture toughness or fracture energy compared to dynamic mode Ⅰ fracture.The minimal fracture toughness or fracture energy occurs in the Short-transverse orientation,while the maximal ones occur in the Divider orientation.In addition,it is interesting to find that the mode Ⅱ fracture toughness anisotropy index decreases more slowly than that in the mode Ⅰ fracture scenario.These results provide significant insights for understanding the different dynamic fracture mechanisms of anisotropic shale rocks under impact loading and have some beneficial implications for the controllable shock wave fracturing technique.展开更多

The viscoelastic behavior is describe...In order to investigate the mechanical response of reflective cracking in asphalt concrete pavement under dynamic vehicle loading, a finite element model is established in ABAQUS. The viscoelastic behavior is described by a prony series which is calculated through nonlinear fitting to the creep test data obtained in the laboratory. Based on the viscoelastic theory, the time-temperature equivalence principle, fracture mechanics and the dynamic finite element method, both the Jintegral and the mix-mode stress intensity factor are utilized as fracture evaluation parameters, and a half-sine dynamic loading is used to simulate the vehicle loading. Finally, the mechanical response of the pavement reflective cracking is analyzed under different vehicle speeds, different environmental conditions and various damping factors. The results indicate that increasing either the vehicle speed or the structure damping factor decreases the maximum values of fracture parameters, while the structure temperature has little effect on the fracture parameters. Due to the fact that the vehicle speed can be enhanced by improving the road traffic conditions, and the pavement damping factor can become greater by modifying the components of materials, the development of reflective cracking can be delayed and the asphalt pavement service life can be effectively extended through both of these ways.展开更多
Investigating effect of recrystallization mechanism on deformation mode and texture evolution is conducive to controlling deformation mechanism and texture in magnesium alloys under medium-high temperature impact load...Investigating effect of recrystallization mechanism on deformation mode and texture evolution is conducive to controlling deformation mechanism and texture in magnesium alloys under medium-high temperature impact loading.In the present study,a Johnson-Cook model incorporating twin strengthening was established to simulate macro-deformation,and a twinning induced recrystallization(TDRX)model and bulging recrystallization(GBBDRX)model are introduced into visco-plastic self consistant(VPSC)framework to quantitatively study the deformation mechanism of pre-twinned AZ31 magnesium alloy during medium-high temperature impact loading.Both TDRX and GBBDRX occur,with basal slip as the dominant slip system,followed by pyramidal〈c+a〉slip and prismatic slip.The dynamic recrystallization(DRX)significantly influences basal and pyramidal〈c+a〉slip systems,with minimal impact on secondary deformation mechanism.In addition,the recrystallization mechanism of grain boundary bowing increases the activity of basal slip and decreases the activity of pyramidal〈c+a〉slip.The nucleation and growth of recrystallized grains enhance basal slip activity and suppress pyramidal〈c+a〉slip,leading to the formation of a strong basal texture.As dynamic recrystallization progresses,a bimodal texture develops,characterized by a reduction in basal component pole density and a more pronounced basal slip.展开更多
To elucidate the dynamic characteristics of in-situ methane deflagration in coalbed methane wellbores and its mechanisms for fracturing coal rock,this study first developed a simulation experimental system specificall...To elucidate the dynamic characteristics of in-situ methane deflagration in coalbed methane wellbores and its mechanisms for fracturing coal rock,this study first developed a simulation experimental system specifically designed for methane in-situ deflagration fracturing.This experimental system,which is capable of withstanding pressures up to 150 MPa and meanwhile applying axial and confining pressures of up to 50 MPa to rock cores,enables the coupled simulation on methane deflagration and rock core fracturing processes.With the aid of this experimental system,physical simulation experiments on in-situ methane deflagration fracturing were conducted,and the following findings were obtained.Methane deflagration loads in enclosed wellbores exhibit characteristics of multi-level pulsed oscillation.With the rise of initial gas pressure,the peak deflagration load increases approximately linearly,with the pressure amplification factor spanning from 23.14 to 31.10,and its peak loading rate grows exponentially.Accordingly,the fracture volume and fracture porosity augment.To be specific,when the initial gas pressure rises from 0.6 to 2.4 MPa,the fracture volume and fracture porosity augment by factors of 14.0 and 8.73,respectively.The fractal dimension of spatial distribution of fractures also increases with the rise of deflagration load,indicating that a higher deflagration load conduces to the development of a larger and more complex fracture network.Methane deflagration fracturing is characterized as a composite fracture mode that involves the impact of strong stress waves and the driving force of high-pressure fluids.The primary factors influencing damage to coal-rock include the high-stress impact in the initial stage of deflagration,the fluid pressure driving effect in the middle stage,and the thermal shock resulting from high temperatures in the later stage.展开更多

Deep mining processes are often associated with rock bursting and high-s...Cemented tailings backfill(CTB) have increasingly been used in recent years to improve the stability of mining stopes in deep underground mines. Deep mining processes are often associated with rock bursting and high-speed dynamic loading conditions. Therefore, it is important to investigate the characteristics and dynamic mechanical behavior of CTB. This paper presents the results of dynamic tests on CTB specimens with different cement and solid contents using a split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB). The results showed that some CTB specimens exhibited one to two lower stress peaks after reaching dynamic peak stress before they completely failed. The greater the cement-to-tailings ratio is, the more obvious the strain reaction. This property mainly manifested as follows. First,the dynamic peak stress increased with the increase of the cement-to-tailings ratio when the impact velocity was fixed. Second, the dynamic peak stress had a quadratic relationship with the average stress rate. Third, the cement-to-tailings ratio could enhance the increase rate of dynamic peak stress with strain rate. In addition, the dynamic strength enhancement factor K increased with the increase of strain rate, and its value was larger than that of the rock samples. The failure modes of CTB specimens under low-speed impact were tensile failure and X conjugate shear failure, where were nearly the same as those under static uniaxial and triaxial compression. The CTB specimens were crushed and broken under critical strain, a failure mode similar to that of low-strength concrete. The results of the experimental research can improve the understanding of the dynamic mechanical properties of CTB and guide the strength design of deep mining backfills.展开更多
In rock engineering,the cyclic shear characteristics of rough joints under dynamic disturbances are still insufficiently studied.This study conducted cyclic shear experiments on rough joints under dynamic normal loads...In rock engineering,the cyclic shear characteristics of rough joints under dynamic disturbances are still insufficiently studied.This study conducted cyclic shear experiments on rough joints under dynamic normal loads to assess the impact of shear frequency(f_(h))and shear displacement amplitude(u_(d))on the frictional properties of the joint.The results reveal that within a single shearing cycle,the normal displacement negatively correlates with the dynamic normal force.As the shear cycle number increases,the joint surface undergoes progressive wear,resulting in an exponential decrease in the peak normal displacement.In the cyclic shearing procedure,the forward peak values of shear force and friction coefficient display larger fluctuations at either lower or higher shear frequencies.However,under moderate shear frequency conditions,the changes in the shear strength of the joint surface are smaller,and the degree of degradation post-shearing is relatively limited.As the shear displacement amplitude increases,the range of normal deformation within the joint widens.Furthermore,after shearing,the corresponding joint roughness coefficient trend shows a gradual decrease with an increasing shear displacement amplitude,while varying with the shearing frequency in a pattern that initially rises and then falls,with a turning point at 0.05 Hz.The findings of this research contribute to a profound comprehension of the cyclic frictional properties of rock joints under dynamic disturbances.展开更多

The stability control of surrounding rock for large or super-large section chamber is a difficult technical problem in deep mining condition.Based on the in-site geological conditions of Longgu coal mine,this paper us...The stability control of surrounding rock for large or super-large section chamber is a difficult technical problem in deep mining condition.Based on the in-site geological conditions of Longgu coal mine,this paper used the dynamic module of FLAC3D to study the response characteristics of deep super-large section chamber under dynamic and static combined loading condition.Results showed that under the static loading condition,the maximum vertical stress,deformation and failure range are large,where the stress concentration coefficient is 1.64.The maximum roof-to-floor and two-sides deformations are 54.6 mm and 53.1 mm,respectively.Then,under the dynamic and static combined loading condition:(1)The influence of dynamic load frequency on the two-sides is more obvious;(2)The dynamic load amplitude has the greatest influence on the stress concentration degree,and the plastic failure tends to develop to the deeper;(3)With the dynamic load source distance increase,the response of surrounding rock is gradually attenuated.On this basis,empirical equations for each dynamic load conditions were obtained by using regression analysis method,and all correlation coefficients are greater than 0.99.This research provided reference for the supporting design of deep super-large section chamber under same or similar conditions.展开更多

文摘Railway noise barriers are an essential piece of infrastructure for reducing noise propagation.However,these barriers experience aerodynamic loads generated by high-speed trains,leading to dynamic effects that may compromise their fatigue capacity.The most common structural design for railway noise barriers consists of vertical configurations of posts and panels.However,there have been few dynamic analyses of steel post/wood panel noise barriers under train-induced aerodynamic loads.This study used dynamic finite element analysis to assess the dynamic behavior of such noise barriers.Analysis of a 40-m-long noise barrier model and a triangular simplified load model,the latter of which effectively represented the detailed aerodynamic load,were first used to establish the model and input of the moving load during dynamic simulation.Then,the effects of different parameters on the dynamic response of the noise barrier were evaluated,including the damping ratio,the profile of the steel post,the span length of the panel,the barrier height,and the train speed.Gray relational analysis indicated that barrier height exhibited the highest correlations with the dynamic responses,followed by train speed,post profile,span length,and damping ratio.A reduction in the natural frequency and an increase in the train speed result in a higher peak response and more pronounced fluctuations between the nose and tail waves.The dynamic amplification factor(DAF)was found to be related to both the natural frequency and train speed.A model was proposed showing that the DAF significantly increases as the square of the natural frequency decreases and the cube of the train speed rises.

文摘Load frequency control(LFC)is a critical function to balance the power consumption and generation.Thegrid frequency is a crucial indicator for maintaining balance.However,the widely used information and communication infrastructure for LFC increases the risk of being attacked by malicious actors.The dynamic load altering attack(DLAA)is a typical attack that can destabilize the power system,causing the grid frequency to deviate fromits nominal value.Therefore,in this paper,we mathematically analyze the impact of DLAA on the stability of the grid frequency and propose the network parameter regulation(NPR)to mitigate the impact.To begin with,the dynamic LFC model is constructed by highlighting the importance of the network parameter.Then,we model the DLAA and analyze its impact on LFC using the theory of second-order dynamic systems.Finally,we model the NPR and prove its effect in mitigating the DLAA.Besides,we construct a least-effort NPR considering its infrastructure cost and aim to reduce the operation cost.Finally,we carry out extensive simulations to demonstrate the impact of the DLAA and evaluate the mitigation performance of NPR.The proposed cost-benefit NPR approach can not only mitigate the impact of DLAA with 100%and also save 41.18$/MWh in terms of the operation cost.

文摘Significant diurnal temperature variations in mountainous rack railways cause stiffness mismatches between the rack structure and simply supported bridges,leading to critical failures like bolt loosening and rack fractures.This study develops a dynamic model of the vehicle-rack-bridge system based on train-track-bridge interaction theory,integrating gear-rack meshing and wheel-rail contact mechanisms.The model analyzes the dynamic response of bridges with varying spans under combined thermal and dynamic loading.Numerical simulations,conducted using finite element analysis,reveal peak vibration accelerations of 1.3 m/s^(2)for the rack,3.0 m/s^(2)for the rail,1.2 m/s^(2)for the sleeper,and 0.1 m/s^(2)for the bridge,with maximum stresses of 3 MPa in the rack,8 MPa in the rail,and 25 MPa in connecting bolts.The results show significant span-dependent amplification of stress and strain in the rack system under thermo-mechanical loading,exceeding material strength limits at 60-meter spans.An innovative elastic connection method is proposed to mitigate stress concentrations effectively,en-hancing system durability.This study introduces a novel approach to modeling complex thermo-mechanical interactions in rack railway systems,validated through extensive simulations,and provides a practical solution for improving structural resilience,offering theoretical guidance for optimizing rack-bridge system design to ensure operational safety in extreme environmental conditions.

文摘Red clay,widely used as a subgrade material in southern China,requires a reliable evaluation of its dynamic behavior to ensure infrastructure safety.Long-term cyclic triaxial tests were conducted on red clay from typical,complex subway subgrades to investigate its dynamic properties and shakedown behavior under intermittent cyclic loading.Results show that intermittent cyclic loading,especially with multiple amplitudes,causes greater axial plastic strain and lower post-cyclic strength than continuous loading.These effects diminish with increasing confining pressure.Notably,axial strain partially recovers during loading intervals,with recovery ratios depending on the number and sequence of pauses.Based on the rules of cumulative plastic strain rates and cumulative plastic strain increments,shakedown behavior for red clay under intermittent cyclic loading is divided into three categories:plastic shakedown,critical shakedown,and plastic creep.A quantitative shakedown limit criterion is proposed using the Boltzmann function.Shakedown behavior significantly influences the post-cyclic strengths,and the influence diminishes as confining pressure increases.Samples exhibiting plastic creep and plastic shakedown behavior have the lowest and highest strengths,and those with critical shakedown behaviors have medium strengths.Cyclic loading with relatively low-stress amplitude causes a hardening effect,while cyclic loading intermittence or cyclic loading with relatively high-stress amplitude causes a degradation effect,and both effects are mitigated by higher confining pressures.

文摘The frequent or occasional impact loads pose serious threats to the service safety of conventional concrete structures in tunnel.In this paper,a novel three-dimensional mesoscopic model of steel fiber reinforced concrete(SFRC)is constructed by discrete element method.The model encompasses the concrete matrix,aggregate,interfacial transition zone and steel fibers,taking into account the random shape of the coarse aggregate and the stochastic distribution of steel fibers.It captures microscopic-level interactions among the coarse aggregate,steel fibers,and matrix.Subsequently,a comprehensive procedure is formulated to calibrate the microscopic parameters required by the model,and the reliability of the model is verified by comparing with the experimental results.Furthermore,a coupled finite difference method-discrete element method approach is used to construct the model of the split Hopkinson pressure bar.Compression tests are simulated on SFRC specimens with varying steel fiber contents under static and dynamic loading conditions.Finally,based on the advantages of DEM analysis at the mesoscopic level,this study analyzed mechanisms of enhancement and crack arrest in SFRC.It shed a light on the perspectives of interface failure process,microcrack propagation,contact force field evolution and energy analysis,offering valuable insights for related mining engineering applications.

文摘A new dimensionless number is proposed for dynamic plastic deformation analysis of clamped circular plates under underwater explosion loads by introducing dimensional analysis method to the basic dynamical governing equations of circular plates.The relation between dimensionless final plastic deformation of circular plates and the new dimensionless number is established based on massive underwater explosion test data.Meanwhile,comparative analysis was discussed with two other published dimensionless parameters which indicated the new dimensionless number proposed in this paper is more effective and extensive to predict the dynamic plastic response of circular plates under underwater explosion condition.

文摘Web pillars enduring complex coupled loads are critical for stability in high-wall mining.This study develops a dynamic failure criterion for web pillars under non-uniform loading using catastrophe theory.Through the analysis of the web pillar-overburden system’s dynamic stress and deformation,a total potential energy function and dynamic failure criterion were established for web pillars.An optimizing method for web pillar parameters was developed in highwall mining.The dynamic criterion established was used to evaluate the dynamic failure and stability of web pillars under static and dynamic loading.Key findings reveal that vertical displacements exhibit exponential-trigonometric variation under static loads and multi-variable power-law behavior under dynamic blasting.Instability risks arise when the roof’s tensile strength-to-stress ratio drops below 1.Using catastrophe theory,the bifurcation setΔ<0 signals sudden instability.The criterion defines failure as when the unstable web pillar section length l1 exceeds the roof’s critical collapse distance l2.Case studies and simulations determine an optimal web pillar width of 4.6 m.This research enhances safety and resource recovery,providing a theoretical framework for advancing highwall mining technology.

文摘This study designs four types of liquid-filled cylindrical shell structures to investigate their protection characteristics against explosive shock waves and high-speed fragments.Bare charge and charge-driven prefabricated fragments are employed to examine the damage under blast shock waves and combined blast and fragments loading on various liquid-filled cylindrical shell structures.The test results are compared to numerical calculations and theoretical analysis for the structure's deformation,the liquid medium's movement,and the pressure waves'propagation characteristics under different liquid-filling methods.The results showed that the filling method influences the blast protection and the struc-ture's energy absorption performance.The external filling method reduces the structural deformation,and the internal filling method increases the damage effect.The gapped internal filling method improves the structure's energy absorption efficiency.The pressure wave loading on the liquid-filled cylindrical shell structure differs depending on filling methods.Explosive shock waves and high-speed fragments show a damage enhancement effect on the liquid-filled cylindrical shell structure,depending on the thickness of the internal liquid container layer.The specific impulse on the inner surface of the cylindrical shell positively correlates to the radial deformation of the cylindrical shell structure,and the external liquid layer limits the radial structural deformation.

文摘Controllable shock wave fracturing is an innovative engineering technique used for shale reservoir fracturing and reformation.Understanding the anisotropic fracture mechanism of shale under impact loading is vital for optimizing shock wave fracturing equipment and enhancing shale oil production.In this study,using the well-known notched semi-circular bend(NSCB)sample and the novel double-edge notched flattened Brazilian disc(DNFBD)sample combined with a split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB),various dynamic anisotropic fracture properties of Lushan shale,including failure characteristics,fracture toughness,energy dissipation and crack propagation velocity,are comprehensively compared and discussed under mode Ⅰ and mode Ⅱ fracture scenarios.First,using a newly modified fracture criterion considering the strength anisotropy of shale,the DNFBD specimen is predicted to be a robust method for true mode Ⅱ fracture of anisotropic shale rocks.Our experimental results show that the dynamic mode Ⅱ fracture of shale induces a rougher and more complex fracture morphology and performs a higher fracture toughness or fracture energy compared to dynamic mode Ⅰ fracture.The minimal fracture toughness or fracture energy occurs in the Short-transverse orientation,while the maximal ones occur in the Divider orientation.In addition,it is interesting to find that the mode Ⅱ fracture toughness anisotropy index decreases more slowly than that in the mode Ⅰ fracture scenario.These results provide significant insights for understanding the different dynamic fracture mechanisms of anisotropic shale rocks under impact loading and have some beneficial implications for the controllable shock wave fracturing technique.

文摘In order to research the concrete archaized buildings with lintel-column joint,2 specimens were tested under dynamic experiment.The failure characteristics,skeleton curves,mechanical behavior such as the load-displacement hysteretic loops,load carrying capacity,degradation of strength and stiffness,ductility and energy dissipation of the joints were analyzed.The results indicate that comparies with the lintel-column joints,the loading capacity and energy dissipation of the concrete archaized buildings with dual lintel-column joints are higher,and the hysteretic loops is in plump-shape.However,the displacement ductility coefficient is less than that of lintel-column joints.Both of them of the regularity of rigidity degeneration are basically the same.Generally,the joints have the good energy dissipation capacity.And the concrete archaized buildings with lintel-column joints exhibit excellent seismic behavior.
文摘The damage properties of two types of rocks under dynamic loading are studied. The shock induced experiments are done using planar impact technique on the one? stage light gas gun, and the ultrasonic tests on the damaged rocks have been made by use of the ultrasonic pulse? transmission method. The shock induced damage of rock is related to the shock speed and the attenuation coefficient of sonic wave, and the latter reflects the damage degree in rock fairly well. The attenuation coefficient α can be used as main damage parameter for constructing damage model of rock under dynamic loading.
文摘In order to investigate the mechanical response of reflective cracking in asphalt concrete pavement under dynamic vehicle loading, a finite element model is established in ABAQUS. The viscoelastic behavior is described by a prony series which is calculated through nonlinear fitting to the creep test data obtained in the laboratory. Based on the viscoelastic theory, the time-temperature equivalence principle, fracture mechanics and the dynamic finite element method, both the Jintegral and the mix-mode stress intensity factor are utilized as fracture evaluation parameters, and a half-sine dynamic loading is used to simulate the vehicle loading. Finally, the mechanical response of the pavement reflective cracking is analyzed under different vehicle speeds, different environmental conditions and various damping factors. The results indicate that increasing either the vehicle speed or the structure damping factor decreases the maximum values of fracture parameters, while the structure temperature has little effect on the fracture parameters. Due to the fact that the vehicle speed can be enhanced by improving the road traffic conditions, and the pavement damping factor can become greater by modifying the components of materials, the development of reflective cracking can be delayed and the asphalt pavement service life can be effectively extended through both of these ways.

文摘Investigating effect of recrystallization mechanism on deformation mode and texture evolution is conducive to controlling deformation mechanism and texture in magnesium alloys under medium-high temperature impact loading.In the present study,a Johnson-Cook model incorporating twin strengthening was established to simulate macro-deformation,and a twinning induced recrystallization(TDRX)model and bulging recrystallization(GBBDRX)model are introduced into visco-plastic self consistant(VPSC)framework to quantitatively study the deformation mechanism of pre-twinned AZ31 magnesium alloy during medium-high temperature impact loading.Both TDRX and GBBDRX occur,with basal slip as the dominant slip system,followed by pyramidal〈c+a〉slip and prismatic slip.The dynamic recrystallization(DRX)significantly influences basal and pyramidal〈c+a〉slip systems,with minimal impact on secondary deformation mechanism.In addition,the recrystallization mechanism of grain boundary bowing increases the activity of basal slip and decreases the activity of pyramidal〈c+a〉slip.The nucleation and growth of recrystallized grains enhance basal slip activity and suppress pyramidal〈c+a〉slip,leading to the formation of a strong basal texture.As dynamic recrystallization progresses,a bimodal texture develops,characterized by a reduction in basal component pole density and a more pronounced basal slip.

文摘To elucidate the dynamic characteristics of in-situ methane deflagration in coalbed methane wellbores and its mechanisms for fracturing coal rock,this study first developed a simulation experimental system specifically designed for methane in-situ deflagration fracturing.This experimental system,which is capable of withstanding pressures up to 150 MPa and meanwhile applying axial and confining pressures of up to 50 MPa to rock cores,enables the coupled simulation on methane deflagration and rock core fracturing processes.With the aid of this experimental system,physical simulation experiments on in-situ methane deflagration fracturing were conducted,and the following findings were obtained.Methane deflagration loads in enclosed wellbores exhibit characteristics of multi-level pulsed oscillation.With the rise of initial gas pressure,the peak deflagration load increases approximately linearly,with the pressure amplification factor spanning from 23.14 to 31.10,and its peak loading rate grows exponentially.Accordingly,the fracture volume and fracture porosity augment.To be specific,when the initial gas pressure rises from 0.6 to 2.4 MPa,the fracture volume and fracture porosity augment by factors of 14.0 and 8.73,respectively.The fractal dimension of spatial distribution of fractures also increases with the rise of deflagration load,indicating that a higher deflagration load conduces to the development of a larger and more complex fracture network.Methane deflagration fracturing is characterized as a composite fracture mode that involves the impact of strong stress waves and the driving force of high-pressure fluids.The primary factors influencing damage to coal-rock include the high-stress impact in the initial stage of deflagration,the fluid pressure driving effect in the middle stage,and the thermal shock resulting from high temperatures in the later stage.

文摘Cemented tailings backfill(CTB) have increasingly been used in recent years to improve the stability of mining stopes in deep underground mines. Deep mining processes are often associated with rock bursting and high-speed dynamic loading conditions. Therefore, it is important to investigate the characteristics and dynamic mechanical behavior of CTB. This paper presents the results of dynamic tests on CTB specimens with different cement and solid contents using a split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB). The results showed that some CTB specimens exhibited one to two lower stress peaks after reaching dynamic peak stress before they completely failed. The greater the cement-to-tailings ratio is, the more obvious the strain reaction. This property mainly manifested as follows. First,the dynamic peak stress increased with the increase of the cement-to-tailings ratio when the impact velocity was fixed. Second, the dynamic peak stress had a quadratic relationship with the average stress rate. Third, the cement-to-tailings ratio could enhance the increase rate of dynamic peak stress with strain rate. In addition, the dynamic strength enhancement factor K increased with the increase of strain rate, and its value was larger than that of the rock samples. The failure modes of CTB specimens under low-speed impact were tensile failure and X conjugate shear failure, where were nearly the same as those under static uniaxial and triaxial compression. The CTB specimens were crushed and broken under critical strain, a failure mode similar to that of low-strength concrete. The results of the experimental research can improve the understanding of the dynamic mechanical properties of CTB and guide the strength design of deep mining backfills.

文摘In rock engineering,the cyclic shear characteristics of rough joints under dynamic disturbances are still insufficiently studied.This study conducted cyclic shear experiments on rough joints under dynamic normal loads to assess the impact of shear frequency(f_(h))and shear displacement amplitude(u_(d))on the frictional properties of the joint.The results reveal that within a single shearing cycle,the normal displacement negatively correlates with the dynamic normal force.As the shear cycle number increases,the joint surface undergoes progressive wear,resulting in an exponential decrease in the peak normal displacement.In the cyclic shearing procedure,the forward peak values of shear force and friction coefficient display larger fluctuations at either lower or higher shear frequencies.However,under moderate shear frequency conditions,the changes in the shear strength of the joint surface are smaller,and the degree of degradation post-shearing is relatively limited.As the shear displacement amplitude increases,the range of normal deformation within the joint widens.Furthermore,after shearing,the corresponding joint roughness coefficient trend shows a gradual decrease with an increasing shear displacement amplitude,while varying with the shearing frequency in a pattern that initially rises and then falls,with a turning point at 0.05 Hz.The findings of this research contribute to a profound comprehension of the cyclic frictional properties of rock joints under dynamic disturbances.

文摘This paper establishes a method for identifying and locating dynamic loads in time-varying systems.The proposed method linearizes time-varying parameters within small time units and uses the Wilson-θ inverse analysis method to solve modal loads of each order at each time step.It then uses an exhaustive method to determine the load position.Finally,it calculates the time history of the load.Simulation examples demonstrate how the number of measuring points and step size affect load identi-fication accuracy,verifying that this algorithm achieves good identification accuracy for loads under resonance conditions.Additionally,it explores how noise affects load position and recognition accuracy,while providing a solution.Simulation examples and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can identify both the time history and position of loads simultaneously with high identification accuracy.

文摘The stability control of surrounding rock for large or super-large section chamber is a difficult technical problem in deep mining condition.Based on the in-site geological conditions of Longgu coal mine,this paper used the dynamic module of FLAC3D to study the response characteristics of deep super-large section chamber under dynamic and static combined loading condition.Results showed that under the static loading condition,the maximum vertical stress,deformation and failure range are large,where the stress concentration coefficient is 1.64.The maximum roof-to-floor and two-sides deformations are 54.6 mm and 53.1 mm,respectively.Then,under the dynamic and static combined loading condition:(1)The influence of dynamic load frequency on the two-sides is more obvious;(2)The dynamic load amplitude has the greatest influence on the stress concentration degree,and the plastic failure tends to develop to the deeper;(3)With the dynamic load source distance increase,the response of surrounding rock is gradually attenuated.On this basis,empirical equations for each dynamic load conditions were obtained by using regression analysis method,and all correlation coefficients are greater than 0.99.This research provided reference for the supporting design of deep super-large section chamber under same or similar conditions.

文摘Based on MTS Landmark 370.50 rock dynamic and static load fatigue test system and acoustic emission(AE)monitoring method,the damage characteristics and energy evolution law of high static load coal-rock combination(CRC)under the influence of dynamic load parameters were studied.The main results are as follows:1)Dynamic load increases the rheological properties and damage fracture development of CRC.With the increase of the amplitude and frequency of the dynamic load,the number of dynamic load cycles required for the failure of the CRC decreases,the irreversible strain increases,and the failure of sample accelerates;2)The AE positioning events during the loading process of the specimen decrease with the increase of the dynamic load amplitude,and increase with the increase of the dynamic load frequency;3)The fractal dimension,total energy and cumulative elastic energy of the broken particles of the CRC increase with the increase of the amplitude and frequency of the dynamic load.The fractal dimension corresponding to the increase of the dynamic load frequency is larger,and the energy and cumulative elastic energy corresponding to the increase of the dynamic load amplitude are larger.

文摘Through-silicon via(TSV)is an important technique in three-dimension integration.The mechanical performance of TSV-Cu is critical to the electrical performance and signal transmission.In this work,the deformation of single-crystalline TSV-Cu during annealing process was studied using molecular dynamics method.The protrusion morphology and protrusion height of Cu column were revealed.The protrusion height curves can be divided into four stages:slow increase,fast increase,fast decrease,and saturation.During the deformation process,the main deformation mode is temporary amorphous region followed by residual dislocations.The influences of annealing temperatures,heating rates,and column sizes on protrusion height were studied.Results show that the residual protrusion height increases with increasing annealing temperatures and decreasing heating rates.The residual protrusion height increases with increasing column sizes in terms of column diameter and length.This work provides new insights into understanding the mechanical performance of nano-TSV-Cu.
