Due to low investment cost and high reliability,a new scheme called DR-HVDC(Diode Rectifier based HVDC)transmission was recently proposed for grid integration of large offshore wind farms.However,in this scheme,the ap...Due to low investment cost and high reliability,a new scheme called DR-HVDC(Diode Rectifier based HVDC)transmission was recently proposed for grid integration of large offshore wind farms.However,in this scheme,the application of conventional control strategies for stability operation face several challenges due to the uncontrollability of the DR.In this paper,a coordinated control strategy of offshore wind farms using the DR-HVDC transmission technology to connect with the onshore grid,is investigated.A novel coordinated control strategy for DR-HVDC is proposed based on the analysis of the DC current control ability of the full-bridge-based modular multilevel converter(FB-MMC)at the onshore station and the input and output characteristics of the diode rectifier at the offshore.Considering the characteristics of operation stability and decoupling between reactive power and active power,a simplified design based on double-loop droop control for offshore AC voltage is proposed after power flow and voltage–current(I–V)characteristics of the offshore wind farm being analyzed.Furthermore,the impact of onshore AC fault to offshore wind farm is analyzed,and a fast fault detection and protection strategy without relying on communication is proposed.Case studies carried out by PSCAD/EMTDC verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy for the start up,power fluctuation,and onshore and offshore fault conditions.展开更多
The Vienna rectifier with unbalanced input voltage and load transient is analyzed.A nonlinear control strategy for Vienna rectifier under unbalanced input is proposed.From the view of positive and negative sequence co...The Vienna rectifier with unbalanced input voltage and load transient is analyzed.A nonlinear control strategy for Vienna rectifier under unbalanced input is proposed.From the view of positive and negative sequence components,the proposed nonlinear control strategy suppresses the twice frequency ripple and guarantees the dynamic response characteristic at the same time.Thanks to the proposed nonlinear control strategy,the DC bus capacitor can be reduced a lot since the voltage ripple and drop can be suppressed.A 10 kW Vienna rectifier is built to verify the proposed control strategy.After applying the proposed nonlinear control strategy,the voltage ripple is only7 V and decreases over 75%over the traditional PI control when the unbalanced degree is 20%.The voltage drop can be reduced about 80%than former control strategy which is helpful to reduce the DC bus capacitor and achieve higher power density.The volume of the capacitor can be reduced by 83.3%with the new control method.展开更多

Combined with the device simulation, a mathematical model is built to get a more in-depth insight into this phenomenon. The theoretical studies are verified by the transmission-line-pulsing (TLP) test results of the modified DTSCR structure, which is realized in a 65-nm complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) process. The detailed analysis of the physical mechanism is used to provide predictions as the DTSCR-based protection scheme is required. A control str...The grid-connected inverter with LCL filter has the ability of easily attenuating high-frequency current harmonics. However, its suppression effect on the background harmonics in grid voltage is limited. A control strategy is presented, which is composed of an inner loop of capacitor current feedforward, an outer loop of grid-current feedforward and feedforward of grid voltage. The limitations and steps of parameters design for LCL filter are analyzed. Meanwhile, the capacitor current loop is employed to damp the resonant peak caused by the LCL filter and enhance the stability. The properties of different controllers are analyzed and compared, thereinto quasi-proportional-rasonant (PR) controller realizes the control with zero steady-state error of AC variables in static coordinates. In order to suppress the current distortion effected by the background harmonics in grid voltage, the feed-forward function is calculated for the grid-connected inverter with an LCL filter. After simplifying the block diagram, a full-feedforward control strategy for grid voltage is proposed. Theoretical analysis and Matlab/Simulink simulation results show that the proposed method has the advantages of high steady accuracy, fast dynamic response and strong robustness.展开更多

We used two TSA control models which differ in the method of disturbed currents detection, one linear and the other non-linear. The results show that the non-linear control method, although with high calculation blocks, gives more promising results than the linear control method. When connecting a non-linear load (televisions, lamps, variable speed drives, etc.) directly to the public distribution network, the non-linear nature of the load causes the source current to be deformed due to the presence of harmonic currents and voltages. These harmonics thus generate a high reactive power, and therefore considerable electrical losses in the network. One of the solutions to reduce losses on the electricity grid is to incorporate an electronic circuit called a filter into the electricity grid. This work carried out a comparative study of two types of control of a three-phase shunt active filter (TSAF) in order to carry out a system for cleaning up electricity networks in order to improve the quality of electrical energy. We used two TSA control models that differ in the method of detecting disturbed currents, one linear and the other non-linear. However, DTSCR leaks high current during normal operation due to the Darlington effect of the triggering-assist diode string. In this study, two types of diode string triggered SCRs are designed for low leakage consideration; the modified diode string and composite polysilicon diode string triggered SCRs (MDTSCR & PDTSCR). Com- pared with the conventional DTSCR (CDTSCR), the MDTSCR has a much lower substrate leakage current with a relatively large silicon cost, and the PDTSCR has a much lower substrate leakage current with similar area and shows good leakage performance at a high temperature. In this paper,a new method for adjusting the current of three-phase voltage source DC-AC converter in orthogonal(DQ)reference frame is presented.In the DQ reference system,AC variable appears in the constant form of D...In this paper,a new method for adjusting the current of three-phase voltage source DC-AC converter in orthogonal(DQ)reference frame is presented.In the DQ reference system,AC variable appears in the constant form of DC,making the controller design the same as the DC-DC converter[1].It provides controllable gain benefits at the steady-state operating point,and finally realizes zero steady-state error[2].In addition,the creative analytical model is dedicated to building up a series of virtual quantities orthogonal to the actual single-phase system.In general,orthogonal imaginary numbers get the reference signal by delaying the real quantity by a quarter period.However,the introduction of such time delay makes the dynamic response of the system worse.In this paper,orthogonal quantities are generated from a virtual axis system parallel to the real axis,which can effectively improve the dynamic performance of traditional methods without increasing the complexity of controller structure.Through PSCAD simulation,the ideal experimental results are obtained.展开更多

A FS-MPC (finite set-model predictive control) strategy for a three-phase VSI for RES (renewable energy systems) applications is implemented. The renewable energy systems model is used in this paper to investigate the system performance when power is supplied to resistive-inductive load. With three different cases, the evaluation of the system is done. Firstly, the robustness of control strategy under variable DC-Link is done in terms of the THD (total harmonic distortion). Secondly, with one prediction step, the system performance is tested using different sampling time, and lastly, the dynamic response of the system with step change in the amplitude of the reference is investigated. The simulations and result analyses are carried out using Matlab/Simulink to test the effectiveness and robustness of FS-MPC for two-level VSI with AC filter for resistive-inductive load supplied by a renewable energy system.展开更多

The limitations and steps of parameters design for LCL filter are analyzed. Meanwhile, the capacitor current loop is employed to damp the resonant peak caused by the LCL filter and enhance the stability. The properties of different controllers are analyzed and compared, thereinto quasi-proportional-rasonant (PR) controller realizes the control with zero steady-state error of AC variables in static coordinates. In order to suppress the current distortion effected by the background harmonics in grid voltage, the feed-forward function is calculated for the grid-connected inverter with an LCL filter. After simplifying the block diagram, a full-feedforward control strategy for grid voltage is proposed. Theoretical analysis and Matlab/Simulink simulation results show that the proposed method has the advantages of high steady accuracy, fast dynamic response and strong robustness.
文摘In this paper, a voltage oriented control strategy for three-level PWM rectifier based on Sliding Mode Control (SMC) is introduced in order to obtain fast and accurate response of dc-bus voltage. To verify the validity of the analysis and the feasibility of the proposed control method a set of simulation tests have been conducted using Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results show that compared to the conventional PI controller, the SMC can reduce drastically the three-level rectifier’s voltage fluctuation and improve the dynamic response of dc-bus significantly.
文摘Sliding mode control(SMC) becomes a common tool in designing robust nonlinear control systems, due to its inherent characteristics such as insensitivity to system uncertainties and fast dynamic response.Two modes are involved in the SMC operation, namely reaching mode and sliding mode.In the reaching mode, the system state is forced to reach the sliding surface in a finite time.The major drawback of the SMC approach is the occurrence of chattering in the sliding mode, which is undesirable in most applications.Generally, the trade-off between chattering reduction and fast reaching time must be considered in the conventional SMC design.This paper proposes SMC design with a novel reaching law called the exponential rate reaching law(ERRL) to reduce chattering, and the control structure of the converter is designed based on the multiinput SMC that is applied to a three-phase AC/DC power converter.The simulation and experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed technique.

文摘Finite-control-set model predictive control(FCSMPC)has advantages of multi-objective optimization and easy implementation.To reduce the computational burden and switching frequency,this article proposed a simplified MPC for dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor(DTPPMSM).The novelty of this method is the decomposition of prediction function and the switching optimization algorithm.Based on the decomposition of prediction function,the current increment vector is obtained,which is employed to select the optimal voltage vector and calculate the duty cycle.Then,the computation burden can be reduced and the current tracking performance can be maintained.Additionally,the switching optimization algorithm was proposed to optimize the voltage vector action sequence,which results in lower switching frequency.Hence,this control strategy can not only reduce the computation burden and switching frequency,but also maintain the steady-state and dynamic performance.The simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the feasibility of the proposed strategy.
文摘To solve the problem of harmonic pollution to the power grid that caused by traditional diode rectifier and phase controlled rectifier, the unit power factor PWM rectifier is designed. The topology structure of the rectifier circuit is introduced and the double closed-loop control strategy in three-phase stationary coordinate system is analyzed. For the deficiency of control strategy, the control strategy in two-phase synchronous rotating coordinate system is proposed. This makes the independent control of active current and reactive current to be realized. The simulation model of the PWM rectifier is built and the effectiveness of the control method proposed in this paper is verified by simulation.

文摘Due to attractive features,including high efficiency,low device stress,and ability to boost voltage,a Vienna rectifier is commonly employed as a battery charger in an electric vehicle(EV).However,the 6k±1 harmonics in the acside current of the Vienna rectifier deteriorate theTHDof the ac current,thus lowering the power factor.Therefore,the current closed-loop for suppressing 6k±1 harmonics is essential tomeet the desired total harmonic distortion(THD).Fast repetitive control(FRC)is generally adopted;however,the deviation of power grid frequency causes delay link in the six frequency fast repetitive control to become non-integer and the tracking performance to deteriorate.This paper presents the detailed parameter design and calculation of fractional order fast repetitive controller(FOFRC)for the non-integer delay link.The finite polynomial approximates the non-integer delay link through the Lagrange interpolation method.By comparing the frequency characteristics of traditional repetitive control,the effectiveness of the FOFRC strategy is verified.Finally,simulation and experiment validate the steadystate performance and harmonics suppression ability of FOFRC.

文摘In this study,the Stokes formula is used to analyze the separation effect of three-phase separators used in a Oilfield Central Processing Facility.The considered main influencing factors include(but are not limited to)the typical size of oil and water droplets,the residence time and temperature of fluid and the dosage of demulsifier.Using the“Specification for Oil and Gas Separators”as a basis,the control loops and operating parameters of each separator are optimized Considering the Halfaya Oilfield as a testbed,it is shown that the proposed approach can lead to good results in the production stage.
文摘The aim of this work is to comparatively study two types of control of a three-phase shunt active filter (TSAF) in order to realize a system of depollution of electrical networks so as to improve the quality of electrical energy. We used two TSA control models which differ in the method of disturbed currents detection, one linear and the other non-linear. The results show that the non-linear control method, although with high calculation blocks, gives more promising results than the linear control method. When connecting a non-linear load (televisions, lamps, variable speed drives, etc.) directly to the public distribution network, the non-linear nature of the load causes the source current to be deformed due to the presence of harmonic currents and voltages. These harmonics thus generate a high reactive power, and therefore considerable electrical losses in the network. One of the solutions to reduce losses on the electricity grid is to incorporate an electronic circuit called a filter into the electricity grid. This work carried out a comparative study of two types of control of a three-phase shunt active filter (TSAF) in order to carry out a system for cleaning up electricity networks in order to improve the quality of electrical energy. We used two TSA control models that differ in the method of detecting disturbed currents, one linear and the other non-linear. The results show that the non-linear control method, although with high calculation blocks, gives better results than the linear control method.

文摘A diode-triggered silicon controlled rectifier (DTSCR) is being developed as an electrostatic discharge (ESD) pro- tection device for low voltage applications. However, DTSCR leaks high current during normal operation due to the Darlington effect of the triggering-assist diode string. In this study, two types of diode string triggered SCRs are designed for low leakage consideration; the modified diode string and composite polysilicon diode string triggered SCRs (MDTSCR & PDTSCR). Com- pared with the conventional DTSCR (CDTSCR), the MDTSCR has a much lower substrate leakage current with a relatively large silicon cost, and the PDTSCR has a much lower substrate leakage current with similar area and shows good leakage performance at a high temperature. Other DTSCR ESD properties are also investigated, especially regarding their layout, triggering voltage and failure current.
文摘In this paper,a new method for adjusting the current of three-phase voltage source DC-AC converter in orthogonal(DQ)reference frame is presented.In the DQ reference system,AC variable appears in the constant form of DC,making the controller design the same as the DC-DC converter[1].It provides controllable gain benefits at the steady-state operating point,and finally realizes zero steady-state error[2].In addition,the creative analytical model is dedicated to building up a series of virtual quantities orthogonal to the actual single-phase system.In general,orthogonal imaginary numbers get the reference signal by delaying the real quantity by a quarter period.However,the introduction of such time delay makes the dynamic response of the system worse.In this paper,orthogonal quantities are generated from a virtual axis system parallel to the real axis,which can effectively improve the dynamic performance of traditional methods without increasing the complexity of controller structure.Through PSCAD simulation,the ideal experimental results are obtained.
文摘Aiming at the PWM rectifier control strategy of sliding mode control, steady state performance weak Hamiltonian control dynamic tracking performance is poor, the coordinated compound control is proposed, the feedback linearization controller and sliding mode controller Hamiltonian system is obtained, and the design of a coordinated control strategy. In order to verify the accuracy of this method, MATLAB/Simulink is used for simulation analysis. The simulation results show that the composite control can achieve the coordinated dynamic rapid tracking and constant DC output and unit power factor operation, and satisfy the control requirements of the rectifier, effectively reducing the disturbance effect on the system. Compared with Hamiltonian control, the proposed method combines the advantages of the two methods, which have the fast tracking performance and excellent steady-state characteristics, and the research prospect is broad.
文摘This paper focuses on a combination of three-phase VSI (voltage source inverter) with a predictive current control to provide an optimized system for three-phase inverters that control the load current. A FS-MPC (finite set-model predictive control) strategy for a three-phase VSI for RES (renewable energy systems) applications is implemented. The renewable energy systems model is used in this paper to investigate the system performance when power is supplied to resistive-inductive load. With three different cases, the evaluation of the system is done. Firstly, the robustness of control strategy under variable DC-Link is done in terms of the THD (total harmonic distortion). Secondly, with one prediction step, the system performance is tested using different sampling time, and lastly, the dynamic response of the system with step change in the amplitude of the reference is investigated. The simulations and result analyses are carried out using Matlab/Simulink to test the effectiveness and robustness of FS-MPC for two-level VSI with AC filter for resistive-inductive load supplied by a renewable energy system.

文摘Dual three-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(DTP-PMSM)is a nonlinear,strongly coupled,high-order multivariable system.In today’s application scenarios,it is difficult for traditional PI controllers to meet the requirements of fast response,high accuracy and good robustness.In order to improve the performance of DTP-PMSM speed regulation system,a control strategy of PI controller based on genetic algorithm is proposed.Firstly,the basic mathematical model of DTP-PMSM is established,and the PI parameters of DTP-PMSM speed regulation system are optimized by genetic algorithm,and the modeling and simulation experiments of DTP-PMSM control system are carried out by MATLAB/SIMULINK.The simulation results show that,compared with the traditional PI control,the proposed algorithm significantly improves the performance of the control system,and the speed output overshoot of the GA-PI speed control system is smaller.The anti-interference ability is stronger,and the torque and double three-phase current output fluctuations are smaller.

文摘To solve the input current harmonic pollution of the high power rectifier system,18-pulse rectifier based on a kind of active harmonic suppression technique at dc side is proposed in this paper.The pulse rectifier employs three-phase diode bridges,each of them followed by a boost converter.Unlike the conventional three-phase unity-power-factor diode rectifier,the ideal sinusoidal main currents of circuit topology are obtained by control its output current or input currents of three boost converters for approximately triangular modulation.The theoretical of modulation strategy and characteristics of input and output currents about the proposed rectifier are analyzed in detail.Simulation results by Matlab/Simulink demonstrate that the proposed rectifier draws nearly sinusoidal current and power quality index is improved.The correctness of the theoretical analysis is validated.
