This article investigates the robust current tracking control problem of three-phase grid-connected inverters with LCL filter under external disturbance by a dynamic state feedback control method.First,this paper constructs an internal model to learn the information of the states and input of the grid-connected inverter under steady state.Second,by utilizing the internal model principle,the paper turns the tracking control problem into the robust stabilization control problem based on some appropriate coordinate transformations.Then,The paper designs a dynamics state feedback control law to deal with this robust stabilization problem,and thus the solution of the robust current tracking control problem of three-phase grid-connected inverters can be obtained.This control method can ensure the asymptotic stability of the closedloop system.Finally,the paper illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed control approach through several groups of simulations,and compares it with the feedforward control method to verify the robustness of the proposed control method to uncertain parameters. 展开更多

Effect of ladle shroud immersion depth on unsteady three-phase flow in continuous casting tundish during ladle change-over process

The transient phenomena of re-oxidation and slag entrapment occurring in the tundish during the ladle change-over process have been proven detrimental to clean steel production.Therefore,an unsteady three-phase turbulence model,coupling velocity,temperature,and phase field was established to study the effect of the ladle shroud immersion depth on the slag eye formation,slag entrainment,slag dragging,air dragging,and flow characteristics during the ladle change-over process of a two-strand tundish.The results showed that reducing the immersion depth decreases the high-velocity region area under the slag layer in the quasi-steady process.During the emptying stage,as the molten bath level gradually decreases,the outlet temperature exhibits a trend of initially decreasing and subsequently increasing across all three shroud immersion depths.However,under a 210 mm shroud immersion depth,molten slag and air are dragged into the shroud,forming slag droplets and causing significant fluctuations,with a maximum scalar velocity of 0.0764 m/s at the monitoring point.In the filling stage,air and molten slag are dragged into the molten bath,forming bubbles and slag droplets at an immersion depth of 210 mm.Bubbles are observed within the molten slag layer,which can readily cause an emulsification phenomenon,making it easier to be dragged as slag droplets.Additionally,the slag eye area measured under 210 mm immersion depth at 45 s is 0.303 m^(2),while the maximum scalar velocity of 2.4259 m/s is detected at 12 s.At an immersion depth of 360 mm,the average area of the slag eye is minimized to 0.06268 m2,with corresponding variances of 0.006753,representing the optimal immersion depth. 展开更多

The interpretation of active and reactive currents in non-sinusoidal and unbalanced three-phase four-wire systems is given based on the generalized instantaneous reactive power theory. The performance and the characteristic are evaluated, and the application conditions of current reference generation strategies are concluded. Dual three-phase permanent-magnet synchronous machines(DTP-PMSM)connected with a single neutral point provide a loop for zero-sequence current(ZSC).This paper proposes a novel space vector pulse width modulation(SVPWM)strategy to suppress the ZSC.Five vectors are selected as basic voltage vectors in one switching period.The fundamental and harmonic planes and the zero-sequence plane are taken into consideration to synthesis the reference voltage vector.To suppress the ZSC,a non-zero zero-sequence voltage(ZSV)is generated to compensate the third harmonic back-EMF.Rather than triangular carrier modulation,the sawtooth carrier modulation strategy is used to generate asymmetric PWM signals.The modulation range is investigated to explore the variation of modulation range caused by considering the zero-sequence plane.With the proposed method,the ZSC can be considerably reduced.The simulated and experimental results are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed modulation strategy. 展开更多

The new three-phase 5-level current-source inverter (CSI) proposed in this paper was developed by connecting three separate single-phase 5-level CSIs in series, and its operational principle was analyzed. There are two major problems existing in current-source multilevel inverters, one is the complex PWM control method (2-logic to 3-logic conversion), and the other is the problem of current-unbalance between different levels. A simple current-balance control method via DC current feedback is applied in each single-phase 5-level CSI cell to implement the current-balance control between different levels. And to reduce the output current harmonics, POD PWM control technique was used. Simulation and experimental results showed that this new three-phase 5-level CSI topology operates correctly. 展开更多

Finite-control-set model predictive control(FCSMPC)has advantages of multi-objective optimization and easy implementation.To reduce the computational burden and switching frequency,this article proposed a simplified MPC for dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor(DTPPMSM).The novelty of this method is the decomposition of prediction function and the switching optimization algorithm.Based on the decomposition of prediction function,the current increment vector is obtained,which is employed to select the optimal voltage vector and calculate the duty cycle.Then,the computation burden can be reduced and the current tracking performance can be maintained.Additionally,the switching optimization algorithm was proposed to optimize the voltage vector action sequence,which results in lower switching frequency.Hence,this control strategy can not only reduce the computation burden and switching frequency,but also maintain the steady-state and dynamic performance.The simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the feasibility of the proposed strategy. 展开更多

To achieve high power rating and low current harmonics of motor drive,this paper develops a dual three-phase open-winding permanent magnet synchronous motor(DTP-OW-PMSM)drive with the DC-link voltage ratio of 2:1:1.Based on this topology,this paper proposes a DTP four-level space vector pulse width modulation(DTP-FL SVPWM)strategy.First,two identical three-phase four-level space vector diagrams are constructed and divided.Then,three adjacent vectors nearest to the reference vector in each diagram are selected for the vector synthesis to guarantee high modulation precision and low switching frequency.Furthermore,to avoid the modulation error caused by the voltage deviation,the proposed DTP-FL SVPWM strategy is further optimized through unified duty ratio compensation(UDRC).The effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified through experiments. 展开更多

In this paper,a control scheme based on current optimization is proposed for dual three-phase permanent-magnet synchronous motor(DTP-PMSM)drive to reduce the low-frequency temperature swing.The reduction of temperature swing can be equivalent to reducing maximum instantaneous phase copper loss in this paper.First,a two-level optimization aiming at minimizing maximum instantaneous phase copper loss at each electrical angle is proposed.Then,the optimization is transformed to a singlelevel optimization by introducing the auxiliary variable for easy solving.Considering that singleobjective optimization trades a great total copper loss for a small reduction of maximum phase copper loss,the optimization considering both instantaneous total copper loss and maximum phase copper loss is proposed,which has the same performance of temperature swing reduction but with lower total loss.In this way,the proposed control scheme can reduce maximum junction temperature by 11%.Both simulation and experimental results are presented to prove the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed control scheme for low-frequency temperature swing reduction. 展开更多

A novel software implementation for current polarity detection and current compensation is presented. For a three-phase zero-voltage soft-switching (ZVS) PWM converter based on phase and amplitude control (PAC), when saw-tooth carriers with alternate positive and negative slopes are adopted, the positive or negative slopes are chosen according to the phase current polarity. Since polarity reversal causes current distortion, current at the instant of reversal should be compensated for. Based on the characteristic of unity power factor converter in rectification and regeneration modes, a software implementation for current polarity detection is proposed. Distortion of current zero-crossing caused by using saw-tooth carriers with alternate positive and negative slopes is analyzed, and the relevant compensation method is proposed. Experimental study with a 1.5 kW device shows that phase current has a small harmonic content and power factor is high both in rectification and regeneration modes. 展开更多

Low-density short-duration pulsed current-assisted aging treatment was applied to the Ti-6Al-4V-0.5Mo-0.5Zr alloy subjected to different solution treatments.The results show that numerous α_(p) phases redissolve into the new β phase during the pulsed current-assisted aging process,and then the newly formed β phase is mainly transformed into the β_(t) phase,with occasional transition to new α_(p) phase,leading to a remarkable grain refinement,especially for the lamellarαs phases.In comparison to conventional aging treatment,the pulsed current-assisted aging approach achieves a significant enhancement in strength without degrading ductility,yielding an excellent mechanical property combination:a yield strength of 932 MPa,a tensile strength of 1042 MPa,and an elongation of 12.2%.It is primarily ascribed to the increased fraction of β_(t) phases,the obvious grain refinement effect,and the slip block effect induced by the multiple-variantαs colonies distributed within β_(t) phases. 展开更多

The dual three-phase PMSM(DTP-PMSM)drives have received wide attention at high-power high-efficiency applications due to their merits of high output current ability and copper-loss-free field excitation.Meanwhile,the DTPPMSM drive provides higher fault-tolerant capability for highreliability applications,e.g.,pumps and actuators in aircraft.For high-power drives with limited switching frequencies and highspeed drives with large fundamental frequencies,the ratio of switching frequency to fundamental frequency,i.e.,the carrier ratio,is usually below 15,which would significantly degrade the control performance.The purpose of this paper is to review the recent work on the modulation and control schemes for improving the operation performance of DTP-PMSM drives with low carrier ratios.Specifically,three categories of methods,i.e.,the space vector modulation based control,the model predictive control(MPC),and the optimized pulse pattern(OPP)based control are reviewed with principles and performance.In addition,brief discussions regarding the comparison and future trends are presented for low-carrier-ratio(LCR)modulation and control schemes of DTP-PMSM drives. 展开更多

In contrast to the concurrent mixer-settler,the interaction between the mixing and settling chambers have to be taken into account in the simulation of the countercurrent mixer-settler,and no work has been reported for this equipment.In this work,a three-phase flow model based on the Eulerian multiphase model,coupled with a sliding mesh model is proposed for a countercurrent mixer-settler.Based on this,the dispersed phase distribution,flow pattern,and pressure distribution are investigated,which can help to fill the gap in the operation mechanism.In addition,the velocity vector distribution at the phase port shows an intriguing phenomenon that two types of vectors with opposite directions are distributed on the left and right sides of the same plane,which indicates that the material exchange in the mixing and settling chambers is simultaneous.Analysis of this variation at this location by a fast Fourier transform(FFT)method reveals that it is mainly influenced by the mixing chamber and is consistent with the main period of the outlet flow fluctuations.Therefore,by monitoring the fluctuation of the outlet flow and then analyzing it by the FFT method,the state of the whole tank can be determined,which makes it promising for the design of control systems for countercurrent mixer-settlers. 展开更多

To elucidate the accelerated degradation mechanisms of metallic interconnects in operational solid oxide fuel cells,the oxidation behavior of FSS430 ferritic stainless steel under the coupling of simultaneous electrical current and high-temperature exposure is investigated.Isothermal thermogravimetric analysis was employed to quantify oxidation kinetics,complemented by microstructural characterization using X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy.Experimental results demonstrate that the applied current dramatically enhances oxidation rates,increasing specific mass gain from 0.25 mg/cm^(2)(0 A/cm^(2))to 5.20 mg/cm^(2)(0.2 A/cm^(2))and oxide scale thickness from 1.87 to 15.62μm after 200 h.This acceleration originates from current-induced electromigration forces that promote cationic transport through the oxide layer.The quantitative relationships between current density and oxidation parameters are established,enabling predictive modeling of interconnector degradation in solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)systems. 展开更多

Does transcranial direct current stimulation enhance the hypoalgesic effect of exercise?

Exercise produces a decrease in pain sensitivity via an effect called exercise-induced hypoalgesia(EIH).Transcranial direct current stimulation(tDCS),acting on similar analgesic mechanisms as EIH,represents a potential complementary intervention that may amplify the effects of exercise on pain.This study aimed to explore if anodal tDCS could enhance the effect of exercise on pain compared to exercise alone.A total of 35 healthy participants aged 19–37 years completed a familiarisation session followed by two separate sessions where active and sham tDCS was applied in a randomised cross-over design.The familiarisation session involved familiarisation to the pain assessment and exercise tasks,while the subsequent tDCS sessions involved pain sensitivity assessment,exercise and either anodal tDCS or sham tDCS.tDCS doses were applied at 2 mA over the primary motor cortex for 10 min,with the reference electrode placed over the contralateral supraorbital area.The exercise task involved a sustained isometric grip strength contraction at 35%of maximal voluntary contraction(MVC)until volitional exhaustion.Pain sensitivity was evaluated as pressure pain threshold before tDCS,after tDCS,and after exercise.Across both tDCS conditions,pain threshold was higher after exercise when compared to pre-and post-tDCS measurement.This increase in pain threshold did not differ between active and sham tDCS conditions.Our findings suggest that the hypoalgesic effects of active anodal tDCS over the motor cortex prior to exercise are no greater than the effects of sham tDCS prior to exercise. 展开更多

To address the issues of high costs and low component utilization caused by the independent configuration of hybrid DC circuit breakers(HCBs)and DC power flow controllers(DCPFCs)at each port in existing DC distribution networks,this paper adopts a component sharing mechanism to propose a composite multi-port hybrid DC circuit breaker(CM-HCB)with DC power flow and fault current limitation abilities,as well as reduced component costs.The proposed CM-HCB topology enables the sharing of the main breaker branch(MB)and the energy dissipation branch,while the load commutation switches(LCSs)in the main branch are reused as power flow control components,enabling flexible regulation of power flow in multiple lines.Meanwhile,by reconstructing the current path during the fault process,the proposed CM-HCB can utilize the internal coupled inductor to limit the current rise rate at the initial stage of the fault,significantly reducing the requirement for breaking current.A detailed study on the topological structure,steady-state power flow regulation mechanism,transient fault isolation mechanism,control strategy and characteristic analysis of the proposed CM-HCB is presented.Then,a Matlab/Simulink-based meshed three-terminal DC grid simulation platform with the proposed CM-HCB is built.The results indicate that the proposed CM-HCB can not only achieve flexible power flow control during steady-state operation,but also obtain current rise limitation and fault isolation abilities under short-circuit fault conditions,verifying its correctness and effectiveness.Finally,a comparative economic analysis is conducted between the proposed CM-HCB and the other two existing solutions,confirming that its component sharing mechanism can significantly reduce the number of components,lower system costs,and improve component utilization. 展开更多

This paper focuses on a combination of three-phase VSI (voltage source inverter) with a predictive current control to provide an optimized system for three-phase inverters that control the load current. A FS-MPC (finite set-model predictive control) strategy for a three-phase VSI for RES (renewable energy systems) applications is implemented. The renewable energy systems model is used in this paper to investigate the system performance when power is supplied to resistive-inductive load. With three different cases, the evaluation of the system is done. Firstly, the robustness of control strategy under variable DC-Link is done in terms of the THD (total harmonic distortion). Secondly, with one prediction step, the system performance is tested using different sampling time, and lastly, the dynamic response of the system with step change in the amplitude of the reference is investigated. The simulations and result analyses are carried out using Matlab/Simulink to test the effectiveness and robustness of FS-MPC for two-level VSI with AC filter for resistive-inductive load supplied by a renewable energy system. 展开更多

Unlike previous theories with velocity and/or elastic modulus averaging, we use a three-phase porous rock physics model developed by Santos for analyzing the seismic response of two immiscible fluids in saturated porous media. Considering reservoir reference pressure and coupling drag of two fluids in pores, the effects of frequency, porosity, and gas saturation on the phase velocities of the P-and S-waves are discussed in detail under field conditions. The effects of porosity and gas saturation on Vp/Vs are also provided. The data for our numerical experiments are from a sample of deep volcanic rock from Daqing. The numerical results show that the frequency dispersion effect can be ignored for deep volcanic rocks with low porosity and low permeability. It is concluded that for deep volcanic rocks the effect of gas content in pores on Vp/Vs is negligible but the effect of porosity is significant when there is a certain amount of water contained in the pores. The accurate estimate of lithology and porosity in this case is relatively more important. 展开更多
