Influence of Weave Structures on the Tribological Properties of Hybrid Kevlar/PTFE Fabric Composites 被引量:15

The existing research of the woven fabric self-lubricating liner mainly focus on the tribological performance improvements and the service life raised by changing different fiber type combinations, adding additive modification, and performing fiber surface modification. As fabric composites, the weave structures play an important role in the mechanical and tribological performances of the liners. However, hardly any literature is available on the friction and wear behavior of such composites with different weave structures. In this paper, three weave structures (plain, twill 1/3 and satin 8/5) of hybrid Kevlar/PTFE fabric composites are selected and pin-on-flat linear reciprocating wear studies are done on a CETR tester under different pressures and different frequencies. The relationship between the tensile strength and the wear performance are studied. The morphologies of the worn surfaces under the typical test conditions are analyzed by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The analysis results show that at 10 MPa, satin 8/5 performs the best in friction-reduction and antiwear performance, and plain is the worst. At 30 MPa, however, the antiwear performance is reversed and satin 8/5 does not even complete the 2 h wear test at 16 Hz. There is no clear evidence proving that the tensile strength has an influence on the wear performance. So the different tribological performance of the three weave structures of fabric composites may be attributed to the different PTFE proportions in the fabric surface and the different wear mechanisms. The fabric composites are divided into three regions: the lubrication region, the reinforced region and the bonding region. The major mechanisms are fatigue wear and the shear effects of the friction force in the lubrication region. In the reinforced region fiber-matrix de-bonding and fiber breakage are involved. The proposed research proposes a regional wear model and further indicates the wear process and the wear mechanism of fabric composites. 展开更多

A one-dimentional three-layer model for the thermal structure in the Huanghai Sea is presented in this study, me model consists of the upper mixed layer caused by heating and wind mixing, the lower mixed layer driven by tidal mixing, and the thermocline with certain thickness. The entrainment velocities of the upper and lower layers are obtained respectively. The results show that the model is capable of describing the development and decline processes of the seasonal thermocline in the Huanghai Sea, simulating successfully the Huanghai Sea Cold Water Mass, the nearshore front and surface cold water off North Jiangsu and explaining reasonably their formation mechanisms as well as the strong thermocline off Qingdao. It is suggested that the tidal mixing plays key role in the formation of the nearshore front off North Jiangsu and the strong thermocline off Qingdao. The wind mixing and the tidal mixing make the lower layer water with high nutrients go up to the upper layer. This physical process may be significant for biological plant production. 展开更多

Three-layer composite ingot of 4045/3004/4045 aluminum alloys was prepared by direct-chill semi-continuous casting process,the temperature field distribution near the composite interface,macro-morphology,microstructure and composition distribution of the composite interface were investigated.The results show that semi-solid layer with a certain thickness forms near the interface due to the effect of cooling plate,which ensures successful implementation of casting the composite ingot.Two different aluminum alloys are well bonded metallurgically.The mechanical properties of composite interface were measured,the tensile and shearing strengths of composite interface are 105 and 88 MPa,respectively,which proves that the composite interface is a kind of metallurgical bonding. 展开更多

Using linear water wave theory,three-dimensional problems concerning the interaction of waves with spherical structures in a fluid which contains a three-layer fluid consisting of a layer of finite depth bounded above by freshwater of finite depth with free surface and below by an infinite layer of water of greater density are considered.In such a situation timeharmonic waves with a given frequency can propagate with three wavenumbers.The sphere is submerged in either of the three layers.Each problem is reduced to an infinite system of linear equations by employing the method of multipoles and the system of equations is solved numerically by standard technique.The hydrodynamic forces(vertical and horizontal forces)are obtained and depicted graphically against the wavenumber.When the density ratio of the upper and middle layer is made to approximately one,curves for vertical and horizontal forces almost coincide with the corresponding curves for the case of a two-layer fluid with a free surface.This means that in the limit,the density ratio of the upper and middle layer goes to approximately one,the solution agrees with the solution for the case of a two-layer fluid with a free surface. 展开更多

And through experimental study and reasoning calculation to verify the three layer structure of the optical waveguide model, so the sensitivity characteristic of the Bragg wavelength to the refractive index of chemical solution is obtained. And the relationships between the concentration and the shift of Bragg wavelength of sucrose, ethanol, and Nacl solution are achieved. Finally the shifts of the Bragg wavelength with the external concentration are obtained by experiments. A kind of simple structure, small size, good stability, high sensitivity chemical concentration sensor is obtained. 展开更多

A three-layered phosphor structure was designed and prepared by the spin coating of BaSi_(2)N_(2)O_(2):Eu(cyan-emitting)and(Sr,Ca)AlSiN_(3):Eu(red-emitting)phosphor films on the yellowemitting Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12):Ce(YAG:Ce)phosphor ceramic synthesized by the solid-state reaction under vacuum sintering.In order to achieve high color rendering lighting,the influence of the composition and structure of the three-layered phosphors on the optical,thermal,and electrical properties of the chip-on-board(COB)packaged white-light-emitting diodes(WLEDs)was studied systematically.The WLED with the structure of“red+cyan+yellow”(R+C+Y)three-layered phosphor generated neutral white light and had a luminous efficacy of 75 lm/W,the fidelity index(R_(f))of 93,the gamut index(R_(g))of 97,and the correlated color temperature(CCT)of 3852 K.Under the excitation of laser diode(LD),the layer-structured phosphor yielded the white light with a luminous efficacy of 120 lm/W,color rendering index(CRI)of 90,and CCT of 5988 K.The result indicates that the three-layered phosphor structure is a promising candidate to achieve high color rendering and high luminous efficacy lighting. 展开更多

为了探寻织物结构复合材料面内裂纹扩展抵抗机理,真实地反应出碳纤维织物复合材料裂纹扩展特性,建立了含有铺层结构与平纹结构碳纤维复合材料介观尺度模型,使用了有限元分析与实验结合的方法,进行了复合材料面内裂纹扩展行为分析。结果... 为了探寻织物结构复合材料面内裂纹扩展抵抗机理,真实地反应出碳纤维织物复合材料裂纹扩展特性,建立了含有铺层结构与平纹结构碳纤维复合材料介观尺度模型,使用了有限元分析与实验结合的方法,进行了复合材料面内裂纹扩展行为分析。结果表明:平纹结构裂纹扩展能量密度为1.69 J/mm^(3),0°/90°铺层复合材料裂纹扩展能量密度为1.47 J/mm^(3),平纹结构复合材料的裂纹扩展抵抗能力相比0°/90°铺层提升约15%,平纹结构及0°/90°铺层复合材料的应力集中系数分别为7.6和12.1。通过有限元分析与非接触式全场应变测量实验结果对比,证实了有限元分析裂纹扩展与实验裂纹扩展的趋势一致。另外,还明确了经纬纱承载的应力分布及经纬纱交叉处载荷传递机理,并发现织物一体结构具备更好的裂纹扩展抵抗力。研究结果可为纺织复合材料裂纹扩展有限元分析及其裂纹扩展性能与寿命预测提供参考。 展开更多

平纹编织复合材料异形结构的多尺度分析研究

针对平纹编织复合材料的异形结构,研究了在铺层方向拉伸位移加载以及力加载两种工况下,采用刚度体积平均、一致应变边界条件两种计算均匀化方法所得多尺度计算结果的差异性,并将多尺度结果与精细化结果进行了对比。此外,还研究了异形区... 针对平纹编织复合材料的异形结构,研究了在铺层方向拉伸位移加载以及力加载两种工况下,采用刚度体积平均、一致应变边界条件两种计算均匀化方法所得多尺度计算结果的差异性,并将多尺度结果与精细化结果进行了对比。此外,还研究了异形区域划分数量对多尺度计算结果的影响。结果表明,在同一多尺度模型下,两种均匀化方法的σ_(y)应力分布趋势是一致的,并且均与精细化模型结果相吻合。其中位移加载下的多尺度结果与参考结果的mises及σ_(y)应力误差最大只有9.5%和3.3%,并且随着异形结构分区数量的增加,其误差值逐渐减小。而力加载下的结果误差值偏大,随分区数量的增加没有减小的趋势,并且一致应变边界条件的结果整体上大于刚度体积平均的结果。并且,多尺度模型的划分方式会破坏部分结构特征,并在一定程度上影响多尺度结果。 展开更多

与常规三维编织、三维机织等预制体单胞结构具有重复性不同,径棒法碳/碳复合材料预制体单胞结构随预制体径向厚度改变而改变,导致预制体纤维体积含量预测以及与预制体结构调控相关的成形参数设计困难。为解决如上问题,建立了径棒法碳/... 与常规三维编织、三维机织等预制体单胞结构具有重复性不同,径棒法碳/碳复合材料预制体单胞结构随预制体径向厚度改变而改变,导致预制体纤维体积含量预测以及与预制体结构调控相关的成形参数设计困难。为解决如上问题,建立了径棒法碳/碳复合材料预制体单胞结构数学模型以及预制体纤维体积含量预测算法。通过编织预制体试验样件与数学模型预测值进行对比,外形尺寸基本一致,预制体层数与预测值一致,预制体纤维体积分数与模型预测结果的相对误差为3.10%,验证了已建立的数学模型的正确性以及纤维体积含量算法的准确性。通过已建立的数学模型分别探究了在相同尺寸条件下导向棒轴向中心距、导向棒周向夹角角度两个结构参数对于预制体成形层数、纤维体积含量的影响规律,并选取了典型结构参数进行了预制体试验样件制备,其中,预制体层数、外形尺寸实际与预测结果一致,纤维体积分数实际值与预测值相对误差不超过5.05%,进一步对数学模型以及对结构参数影响规律的预测进行了有效验证。 展开更多
