In this paper,we propose a new privacy-aware transmission scheduling algorithm for 6G ad hoc networks. This system enables end nodes to select the optimum time and scheme to transmit private data safely. In 6G dynamic heterogeneous infrastructures, unstable links and non-uniform hardware capabilities create critical issues regarding security and privacy.Traditional protocols are often too computationally heavy to allow 6G services to achieve their expected Quality-of-Service(QoS).As the transport network is built of ad hoc nodes, there is no guarantee about their trustworthiness or behavior, and transversal functionalities are delegated to the extreme nodes. However, while security can be guaranteed in extreme-to-extreme solutions, privacy cannot,as all intermediate nodes still have to handle the data packets they are transporting.Besides, traditional schemes for private anonymous ad hoc communications are vulnerable against modern intelligent attacks based on learning models. The proposed scheme fulfills this gap.Findings show the probability of a successful intelligent attack reduces by up to 65%compared to ad hoc networks with no privacy protection strategy when used the proposed technology. While congestion probability can remain below 0.001%,as required in 6G services. 展开更多

Graph neural networks(GNN)have shown strong performance in node classification tasks, yet most existing models rely on uniform or shared weight aggregation, lacking flexibility in modeling the varying strength of relationships among nodes. This paper proposes a novel graph coupling convolutional model that introduces an adaptive weighting mechanism to assign distinct importance to neighboring nodes based on their similarity to the central node.Unlike traditional methods, the proposed coupling strategy enhances the interpretability of node interactions while maintaining competitive classification performance. The model operates in the spatial domain, utilizing adjacency list structures for efficient convolution and addressing the limitations of weight sharing through a coupling-based similarity computation.Extensive experiments are conducted on five graph-structured datasets, including Cora,Citeseer,PubMed,Reddit, and BlogCatalog,as well as a custom topology dataset constructed from the Open University Learning Analytics Dataset(OULAD)educational platform. Results demonstrate that the proposed model achieves good classification accuracy, while significantly reducing training time through direct second-order neighbor fusion and data preprocessing. Moreover, analysis of neighborhood order reveals that considering third-order neighbors offers limited accuracy gains but introduces considerable computational overhead, confirming the efficiency of first-and second-order convolution in practical applications.Overall, the proposed graph coupling model offers a lightweight, interpretable, and effective framework for multi-label node classification in complex networks. 展开更多

In recent years, the rapid development of mega-constellations has significantly exacerbated the deterioration of the space debris environment, posing substantial and escalating threats to the safety of spacecraft. This study aims to explore the complex evolution of the space debris environment and assess the collision risks associated with spacecraft.First,a space debris environment topological network model is proposed, which incorporates interdisciplinary methods from topological networks, fluid mechanics, and spacecraft dynamics. This model enables a structured representation of the relationships among space objects and provides rapid predictions of the space debris environment. Then,a collision probability algorithm based on the topological network model is introduced. This algorithm inherits the efficiency advantages of the topological network model and has been validated for reliability through comparison with the classical ESA’s DRAMA software. Finally, based on the above models, the collision risks of constellation satellites in Low Earth Orbit(LEO)are analyzed, including both operational and deorbit processes. The study reveals that constellation satellites face a much higher risk of internal collisions with satellites from the same constellation during operations than that with other space objects.Additionally, during the satellite deorbit process, the collision risk peaks when satellites traverse the operational region of Starlink satellites. 展开更多

It is well known that aluminum and copper exhibit structural phase transformations in quasi-static and dynamic measurements, including shock wave loading. However, the dependence of phase transformations in a wide range of crystallographic directions of shock loading has not been revealed. In this work,we calculated the shock Hugoniot for aluminum and copper in different crystallographic directions([100],[110],[111],[112],[102],[114],[123],[134],[221]and[401])of shock compression using molecular dynamics(MD)simulations. The results showed a high pressure(>160 GPa for Cu and>40 GPa for Al)of the FCC-to-BCC transition. In copper, different characteristics of the phase transition are observed depending on the loading direction with the[100]compression direction being the weakest. The FCC-to-BCC transition for copper is in the range of 150–220 GPa,which is consistent with the existing experimental data.Due to the high transition pressure, the BCC phase transition in copper competes with melting. In aluminum, the FCC-to-BCC transition is observed for all studied directions at pressures between 40 and 50 GPa far beyond the melting. In all considered cases we observe the coexistence of HCP and BCC phases during the FCC-to-BCC transition, which is consistent with the experimental data and atomistic calculations;this HCP phase forms in the course of accompanying plastic deformation with dislocation activity in the parent FCC phase. The plasticity incipience is also anisotropic in bothmetals, which is due to the difference in the projections of stress on the slip plane for different orientations of the FCC crystal.MD modeling results demonstrate a strong dependence of the FCC-to-BCC transition on the crystallographic direction,in which the material is loaded in the copper crystals. However,MD simulations data can only be obtained for specific points in the stereographic direction space;therefore, for more comprehensive understanding of the phase transition process,a feed-forward neural network was trained using MD modeling data. The trained machine learning model allowed us to construct continuous stereographic maps of phase transitions as a function of stress in the shock-compressed state of metal.Due to appearance and growth of multiple centers of new phase, the FCC-to-BCC transition leads to formation of a polycrystalline structure from the parent single crystal. 展开更多

Owing to intensified globalization and informatization, the structures of the urban scale hierarchy and urban networks between cities have become increasingly intertwined, resulting in different spatial effects. Therefore, this paper analyzes the spatial interaction between urban scale hierarchy and urban networks in China from 2019 to 2023,drawing on Baidu migration data and employing a spatial simultaneous equation model. The results reveal a significant positive spatial correlation between cities with higher hierarchy and those with greater network centrality.Within a static framework,we identify a positive interaction between urban scale hierarchy and urban network centrality, while their spatial cross-effects manifest as negative neighborhood interactions based on geographical distance and positive cross-scale interactions shaped by network connections.Within a dynamic framework, changes in urban scale hierarchy and urban networks are mutually reinforcing, thereby widening disparities within the urban hierarchy.Furthermore,an increase in a city’s network centrality had a dampening effect on the population growth of neighboring cities and network-connected cities. This study enhances understanding of the spatial organisation of urban systems and offers insights for coordinated regional development. 展开更多

The effective channeling of fluid flow by fractures is a liability for enhanced oil recovery(EOR)methods like CO_(2) flooding or CO_(2) storage.Developing a distributed fracture model to understand the heterogeneity of the fracture network is essential in characterizing tight and low-permeability reservoirs. In the Ordos Basin, the Chang 8-1-2 layer of the Yanchang Formation is a typical tight and low permeability reservoir in the JH17 wellblock. The strong heterogeneity of distributed fractures, differing fracture scales and fracture types make it difficult to effectively characterize the fracture distribution within the Chang 8-1-2 layer. In this paper,multi-source and multi-attribute methods are used to integrate data into a neural network at different scales, and fuzzy logic control is used to judge the correlation of various attributes. The results suggest that attribute correlation between coherence and fracture indication is the best, followed by correlations with fault distance, north–south slope, and north–south curvature.Advantageous attributes from the target area are used to train the neural network, and the fracture density model and discrete fracture network(DFN)model are built at different scales. This method can be used to effectively predict the distribution characteristics of fractures in the study area. And any learning done by the neural network from this case study can be applied to fracture network modeling for reservoirs of the same type. 展开更多

Structure plane is one of the important factors affecting the stability and failure mode of rock mass engineering.Rock mass structure characterization is the basic work of rock mechanics research and the important content of numerical simulation.A new 3-dimensional rough discrete fracture network(RDFN3D)model and its modeling method based on the Weierstrass-Mandelbrot(W-M)function were presented in this paper. The RDFN3D model, which improves and unifies the modelling methods for the complex structural planes, has been realized. The influence of fractal dimension, amplitude, and surface precision on the modeling parameters of RDFN3D was discussed. The reasonable W-M parameters suitable for the roughness coefficient of JRC were proposed, and the relationship between the mathematical model and the joint characterization was established. The RDFN3D together with the smooth 3-dimensional discrete fracture network(DFN3D)models were successfully exported to the drawing exchange format, which will provide a wide application in numerous numerical simulation codes including both the continuous and discontinuous methods. The numerical models were discussed using the COMSOL Multiphysics code and the 3-dimensional particle flow code, respectively. The reliability of the RDFN3D model was preliminarily discussed and analyzed. The roughness and spatial connectivity of the fracture networks have a dominant effect on the fluid flow patterns. The research results can provide a new geological model and analysis model for numerical simulation and engineering analysis of jointed rock mass. 展开更多

The simulation of salinity at different locations of a tidal river using physically-based hydrodynamic models is quite cumbersome because it requires many types of data, such as hydrological and hydraulic time series at boundaries, river geometry, and adjusted coefficients. Therefore, an artificial neural network (ANN) technique using a back-propagation neural network (BPNN) and a radial basis function neural network (RBFNN) is adopted as an effective alternative in salinity simulation studies. The present study focuses on comparing the performance of BPNN, RBFNN, and three-dimensional hydrodynamic models as applied to a tidal estuarine system. The observed salinity data sets collected from 18 to 22 May, 16 to 22 October, and 26 to 30 October 2002 (totaling 4320 data points) were used for BPNN and RBFNN model training and for hydrodynamic model calibration. The data sets collected from 30 May to 2 June and 11 to 15 November 2002 (totaling 2592 data points) were adopted for BPNN and RBFNN model verification and for hydrodynamic model verification. The results revealed that the ANN (BPNN and RBFNN) models were capable of predicting the nonlinear time series behavior of salinity to the multiple forcing signals of water stages at different stations and freshwater input at upstream boundaries. The salinity predicted by the ANN models was better than that predicted by the physically based hydrodynamic model. This study suggests that BPNN and RBFNN models are easy-to-use modeling tools for simulating the salinity variation in a tidal estuarine system. 展开更多

Industrial noise can be successfully mitigated with the combined use of passive and Active Noise Control (ANC) strategies. In a noisy area, a practical solution for noise attenuation may include both the use of baffles and ANC. When the operator is required to stay in movement in a delimited spatial area, conventional ANC is usually not able to adequately cancel the noise over the whole area. New control strategies need to be devised to achieve acceptable spatial coverage. A three-dimensional actuator model is proposed in this paper. Active Noise Control (ANC) usually requires a feedback noise measurement for the proper response of the loop controller. In some situations, especially where the real-time tridimensional positioning of a feedback transducer is unfeasible, the availability of a 3D precise noise level estimator is indispensable. In our previous works [1,2], using a vibrating signal of the primary source of noise as an input reference for spatial noise level prediction proved to be a very good choice. Another interesting aspect observed in those previous works was the need for a variable-structure linear model, which is equivalent to a sort of a nonlinear model, with unknown analytical equivalence until now. To overcome this in this paper we propose a model structure based on an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) as a nonlinear black-box model to capture the dynamic nonlinear behaveior of the investigated process. This can be used in a future closed loop noise cancelling strategy. We devise an ANN architecture and a corresponding training methodology to cope with the problem, and a MISO (Multi-Input Single-Output) model structure is used in the identification of the system dynamics. A metric is established to compare the obtained results with other works elsewhere. The results show that the obtained model is consistent and it adequately describes the main dynamics of the studied phenomenon, showing that the MISO approach using an ANN is appropriate for the simulation of the investigated process. A clear conclusion is reached highlighting the promising results obtained using this kind of modeling for ANC. 展开更多

The turbulence mechanism plays an important part in the mixing process and momentum transfer of turbulence. A three-dimensional Prandtl mixing length tidal model has been developed to simulate tidal flows and water quality. The eddy viscosities and diffusivities are computed from the Prandtl mixing length model. In order to model the water quality of an estuary or coastal area many interdependent processes need to be simulated. These may be conveniently separated into three main groups: transport and mixing processes, biochemical interaction of water quality variables and the utilization and re-cycling of nutrients by living matter. The model simulates full oxygen and nutrient balance, primary productivity and the transport, reaction mechanism and fate of pollutants over tidal time-scales. The model is applied to numerical simulation of tidal flows and water quality in Dalian Bay. The model has been calibrated against a limited data set of historical water quality observations and in general demonstrates excellent agreement with all available data. 展开更多

Landslide susceptibility mapping(LSM)plays a crucial role in assessing geological risks. The current LSM techniques face a significant challenge in achieving accurate results due to uncertainties associated with regional-scale geotechnical parameters. To explore rainfall-induced LSM,this study proposes a hybrid model that combines the physically-based probabilistic model(PPM)with convolutional neural network(CNN).The PPM is capable of effectively capturing the spatial distribution of landslides by incorporating the probability of failure(POF)considering the slope stability mechanism under rainfall conditions. This significantly characterizes the variation of POF caused by parameter uncertainties.CNN was used as a binary classifier to capture the spatial and channel correlation between landslide conditioning factors and the probability of landslide occurrence.OpenCV image enhancement technique was utilized to extract non-landslide points based on the POF of landslides. The proposed model comprehensively considers physical mechanics when selecting non-landslide samples, effectively filtering out samples that do not adhere to physical principles and reduce the risk of overfitting. The results indicate that the proposed PPM-CNN hybrid model presents a higher prediction accuracy, with an area under the curve(AUC)value of 0.85 based on the landslide case of the Niangniangba area of Gansu Province,China compared with the individual CNN model(AUC=0.61)and the PPM(AUC=0.74).This model can also consider the statistical correlation and non-normal probability distributions of model parameters. These results offer practical guidance for future research on rainfall-induced LSM at the regional scale. 展开更多

The constitutive models of shape memory alloys(SMAs)play an important role in facilitating the widespread application of such types of alloys in various engineering fields. However,to accurately describe the deformation behaviors of SMAs,the concepts in classical plasticity are employed in the existing constitutive models, and a series of complex mathematical equations are involved.Such complexity brings inconvenience for the construction, implementation, and application of the constitutive models. To overcome these shortcomings,a data-driven constitutive model of SMAs is developed in this work based on the artificial neural network(ANN).In the proposed model, the components of the strain tensor in principal space, ambient temperature, and the maximum equivalent strain in the deformation history from the initial state to the current loading state are chosen as the input features, and the components of the stress tensor in principal space are set as the output. The proposed ANN-based constitutive model is implemented into the finite element program ABAQUS by deriving its consistent tangent modulus and writing a user-defined material subroutine. The stress-strain responses of SMA material under various loading paths and at different ambient temperatures are used to train the ANN model, which is generated from the existing constitutive model(numerical experiments). To validate the capability of the proposed model, the predicted stress-strain responses of SMA material, and the global and local responses of two typical SMA structures are compared with the corresponding numerical experiments. This work demonstrates a good potential to obtain the constitutive model of SMAs by pure data and avoid the need for vast stores of knowledge for the construction of constitutive models. 展开更多

The problem of taking an unorganized point cloud in 3D space and fitting a polyhedral surface to those points is both important and difficult. Aiming at increasing applications of full three dimensional digital terrain surface modeling, a new algorithm for the automatic generation of three dimensional triangulated irregular network from a point cloud is pro- posed. Based on the local topological consistency test, a combined algorithm of constrained 3D Delaunay triangulation and region-growing is extended to ensure topologically correct reconstruction. This paper also introduced an efficient neighbor- ing triangle location method by making full use of the surface normal information. Experimental results prove that this algo- rithm can efficiently obtain the most reasonable reconstructed mesh surface with arbitrary topology, wherein the automati- cally reconstructed surface has only small topological difference from the true surface. Control signaling is mandatory for the operation and management of all types of communication networks, including the Third Generation Partnership Project(3GPP)mobile broadband networks. However, they consume important and scarce network resources such as bandwidth and processing power. There have been several reports of these control signaling turning into signaling storms halting network operations and causing the respective Telecom companies big financial losses. This paper draws its motivation from such real network disaster incidents attributed to signaling storms. In this paper,we present a thorough survey of the causes,of the signaling storm problems in 3GPP-based mobile broadband networks and discuss in detail their possible solutions and countermeasures. We provide relevant analytical models to help quantify the effect of the potential causes and benefits of their corresponding solutions.Another important contribution of this paper is the comparison of the possible causes and solutions/countermeasures,concerning their effect on several important network aspects such as architecture, additional signaling, fidelity, etc.,in the form of a table. This paper presents an update and an extension of our earlier conference publication. To our knowledge,no similar survey study exists on the subject. 展开更多

With the rapid development of Internet of Things technology, the sharp increase in network devices and their inherent security vulnerabilities present a stark contrast, bringing unprecedented challenges to the field of network security, especially in identifying malicious attacks. However, due to the uneven distribution of network traffic data, particularly the imbalance between attack traffic and normal traffic,as well as the imbalance between minority class attacks and majority class attacks, traditional machine learning detection algorithms have significant limitations when dealing with sparse network traffic data.To effectively tackle this challenge,we have designed a lightweight intrusion detection model based on diffusion mechanisms, named Diff-IDS,with the core objective of enhancing the model’s efficiency in parsing complex network traffic features, thereby significantly improving its detection speed and training efficiency. The model begins by finely filtering network traffic features and converting them into grayscale images, while also employing image-flipping techniques for data augmentation.Subsequently, these preprocessed images are fed into a diffusion model based on the Unet architecture for training.Once the model is trained,we fix the weights of the Unet network and propose a feature enhancement algorithm based on feature masking to further boost the model’s expressiveness. Finally,we devise an end-to-end lightweight detection strategy to streamline the model, enabling efficient lightweight detection of imbalanced samples. Our method has been subjected to multiple experimental tests on renowned network intrusion detection benchmarks, including CICIDS 2017,KDD 99,and NSL-KDD.The experimental results indicate that Diff-IDS leads in terms of detection accuracy, training efficiency, and lightweight metrics compared to the current state-of-the-art models, demonstrating exceptional detection capabilities and robustness. 展开更多
