The flow field of molten steel and the interfacial behaviour between molten steel and liquid slag layer in medium-thin slab continuous casting mold with argon gas injection were studied by numerical simulation, in which the effects of nozzle submergence depth and port angle, casting speed, and argon gas flow rate on the flow and the level fluctuation of molten steel were considered. The results show that the molten steel is jetted from the submerged en- try nozzle (SEN) with three ports into the mold and forms three recirculation zones including one upper recireulation zone and two lower recirculation zones. Argon gas injection results in a secondary vortex flow in the upper zone near the nozzle. For a given casting speed and argon gas flow rate, increasing the side port angle and submergence depth of nozzle can effectively restrain the steel/slag interracial fluctuation. Increasing the casting speed would prick up the level fluctuation. For a fixed casting speed, argon gas flow rate has a critical value, the interracial fluctuation with argon gas injection are stronger than the case without argon gas injection when the argon gas flow rate is less than the critical value, but when the argon gas flow rate exceeds the critical value, the level fluctuation is calmer than that without argon gas injection. 展开更多

These Thin films are considered for three different geometries. The governing continuity, momentum and angular momentum equations are converted into a system of non-linear ordinary differential equations by means of similarity transformation. The resulting system of coupled non-linear ordinary differential equations is solved numerically by using shooting method. A representative set of numerical results in the three thin film flow problems for velocity and micro-rotation profiles are discussed and presented graphically. A comprehensive parametric study is carried out to show the effects of the micropolar fluid parameters, magnetic field parameter, permeability parameter and etc. on the obtained solutions. 展开更多

In this paper, the effects of viscous and Ohmic heating and heat genera- tion/absorption on magnetohydrodynamic flow of an electrically conducting Casson thin film fluid over an unsteady horizontal stretching sheet in a non-Darcy porous medium are investigated. The fluid is assumed to slip along the boundary of the sheet. Similar- ity transformation is used to translate the governing partial differential equations into ordinary differential equations. A shooting technique in conjunction with the 4th order Runge-Kutta method is used to solve the transformed equations. Computations are car- ried out for velocity and temperature of the fluid thin film along with local skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number for a range of values of pertinent flow parameters. It is observed that the Casson parameter has the ability to enhance free surface velocity and film thickness, whereas the Forchheimer parameter, which, is responsible for the inertial drag has an adverse effect on the fluid velocity inside the film. The velocity slip along the boundary tends to decrease the fluid velocity. This investigation has various applications in engineering and in practical problems such as very large scale integration (VLSI) of electronic chips and film coating. 展开更多

Based on the production practice of medium carbon thin slabs in the CSP plant,the reasons and influencing factors for the formation of longitudinal cracks were investigated,and some industrial measures were taken to eliminate the cracks.The results show that the efficient solutions to reduce longitudinal cracks are improving the performance of the mold powder,stabilizing the mold heat flux,and maintaining a proper taper of the mold during casting.Proper pouring temperature and secondary cooling also play important roles in preventing longitudinal surface cracks. 展开更多

The stability and vibration of a thin elastic helical rod with circular cross section in a viscous medium are discussed. The dynamical equations of the rod in the viscous medium are established in the Frenet coordinates of the centreline with the Euler angles describing the attitudes of the cross section as variables. We have proved that the Lyapunov and Euler conditions of stability of a helical rod in the space domain are the necessary conditions for the asymptotic stability of the rod in the time domain. The free frequencies and damping coefficients of torsional and flexural vibrations of the helical rod in the viscous medium are calculated. 展开更多

As an essential model of magnetoelastic interaction between magnetic field and mechanical deformation, the study on magnetoelastic buckling phenomenon of soft ferromagnetic plates in a magnetic environment has been conducted. One of the key steps for the theoretical prediction of the critical magnetic field is how to formulate magnetic force exerted on the magnetized medium. Till today, the theoretical predictions, from theoretical models in publications, of the magnetoelastic buckling of ferromagnetic cantilevered beam-plate in transverse magnetic field are all higher than their experimental data. Sometimes, the discrepancy between them is as high as 100%. In this paper, the macroscope formulation of the magnetic forces is strictly obtained from the microscope Amperion current model. After that, a new theoretical model is established to describe the magnetoelastic buckling phenomenon of ferromagnetic thin plates with geometrically nonlinear deformation in a nonuniform transverse magnetic field. The numerical method for quantitative analysis is employed by combining the finite elemental method for magnetic fields and the finite difference method for deformation of plates. The numerical results obtained from this new theoretical model show that the theoretical predictions of critical values of the buckling magnetic field for the ferromagnetic cantilevered beam-plate are in excellent agreement with their experimental data. By the way, the region of applicability to the Moon-Pao's model, or the couple model, is checked by quantitative results. 展开更多

Aiming at overcoming the difficulties in integral forming of thin-walled tubes with complex shapes, a novel forming method by inner and outer pressure through viscous was proposed. In this method, by dividing large deformation of the part into inner and outer pressure forming deformations, the limit deformation of tube part can be increased by several times. Meanwhile, the principle of viscous inner and outer pressure forming was provided, and key problems during the forming process such as reduction of the wall-thickness and instability wrinkling were analyzed. Thereby, the complex curved surface super-alloy GH3044 thin-walled tube with varying diameter ratio of 1.35(the ratio between the maximum and minimum diameters of the part) can be integrally formed by this method. The experimental surface of the formed part is superior in quality and the wall-thickness distribution is uniform. The results show that the viscous inner and outer pressure forming can provide a new approach for integral forming of thin-walled tubes with complex shapes. 展开更多

A novel forming method of nickel based super-alloy thin-walled part with variable diameter sections was proposed by using inner and outer pressure with the visco-elasto-plastic pressure-carrying medium at room temperature,and the principle of the method was provided.Experiments and FE simulations were carried out to analyze the deformation characteristics for the part with larger variable diameter ratio(35%).The results show that visco-elasto-plastic pressure-carrying medium can meet the requirements of the room-temperature deformation condition for nickel based super-alloy sheet.The inner and outer pressure forming with the visco-elasto-plastic pressure-carrying medium can meet the requirements of dimensional accuracy for the thin-walled part with variable diameter sections.The thinning of wall-thickness is less than 4%.This method provides a new approach for near-net shape forming of nickel based super-alloy thin-walled parts with variable diameter sections. 展开更多

利用煤层气井对采煤过程中邻近煤层卸压煤层气抽采是一种高效的瓦斯综合治理与煤层气开发手段。查明采动覆岩应力−裂隙场演化特征,并据此开展煤层气井优化设计是提高卸压煤层气抽采效率的关键。以黔西山脚树煤矿221015工作面为工程场景... 利用煤层气井对采煤过程中邻近煤层卸压煤层气抽采是一种高效的瓦斯综合治理与煤层气开发手段。查明采动覆岩应力−裂隙场演化特征,并据此开展煤层气井优化设计是提高卸压煤层气抽采效率的关键。以黔西山脚树煤矿221015工作面为工程场景和实例,基于地质−工程模型构建与工程数据分析,阐明了覆岩层内及层间应力演化特征,探讨了覆岩裂隙与增渗区分布形态,优化了煤层气井井位部署、井身结构设计及增产措施。研究表明:研究区煤系岩石力学性质频繁强弱交互的地质特征提高了卸压煤层气抽采效果。关键层逐次破断后,工作面上方5~20 m层段为贯通裂隙带,带内富集的大量游离态甲烷可跨层运移产出,为煤层气井主气源带。工作面上方20~45 m层段属弯曲下沉带内微裂隙发育带,具有近2000 m^(3)/d的单层煤产气潜力。该带卸压煤层气以层内运移为主,并积聚了裂隙带煤层气。压实区沿工作面走向的边界切线、压实区沿工作面走向的边界切线与回风巷间的中轴线、裂隙区边界线围成的区域是最有利的井位部署位置。采用高强度水泥固井与扩孔完井的“二开”井或采用筛管悬挂完井的“三开”井井筒稳定性好,可保障煤层气井长期抽采工作。优化方案为黔西地区煤矿采动区卸压煤层气抽采井日产气35000 m^(3)的突破提供了技术支撑,显著减弱了工作面瓦斯突出风险。基于多层叠置含煤层气系统的地质特点,“合层压裂排采+采动卸压抽采”的“一井多用”模式可作为“提产增效”的重点研究方向。 展开更多

在当前技术和经济条件下较难安全、高效开采薄窄矿脉。为了发展安全高效的薄窄矿脉智能化开采方法,首先必须开发其机械化开采方法。综述了薄窄矿脉开采方法及采矿机械发展现状,提出薄窄矿脉机械化乃至智能化发展框架。研究表明:浅孔留... 在当前技术和经济条件下较难安全、高效开采薄窄矿脉。为了发展安全高效的薄窄矿脉智能化开采方法,首先必须开发其机械化开采方法。综述了薄窄矿脉开采方法及采矿机械发展现状,提出薄窄矿脉机械化乃至智能化发展框架。研究表明:浅孔留矿法和削壁充填法是这类倾斜至急倾斜矿体过去常用的开采方法,房柱法或全面法是这类缓倾斜矿体过去常用的开采方法;为了确保安全并提高机械化程度和开采效率,国内外逐步探索中深孔崩落采矿,推行“一字”、“之字”和“梅花”形布孔分别爆破0.5~2.4 m厚的急倾斜薄窄矿脉实现无间柱连续开采,探索钢绳锯或中深孔爆破缓倾斜薄窄矿脉并间隔距离布置进路以便铲运机铲装矿石,但设备微型化几乎达到了我国矿山开采厚0.1~0.5 m薄窄矿脉机械发展的尺寸极限,而且损失、贫化率高;中深孔、深孔预裂爆破是薄窄矿脉开采中消除夹制力、降低贫化损失率、实现机械化采矿的关键工艺,钻孔精度的随钻系统偏斜控制是实现矿岩精准预裂爆破分离的核心。中深孔、深孔预裂爆破适用于分离稳固矿岩。 展开更多

针对现有缓冲器填充的连续体材料受制于单一耗能机制而难以提升缓冲性能的问题,提出了一种核乏燃料转运容器非连续体介质缓冲器设计方法。基于连续-非连续耦合计算方法建立耦合模型,对不同缓冲材料、薄壁球壳壁厚、薄壁球壳粒径等方案... 针对现有缓冲器填充的连续体材料受制于单一耗能机制而难以提升缓冲性能的问题,提出了一种核乏燃料转运容器非连续体介质缓冲器设计方法。基于连续-非连续耦合计算方法建立耦合模型,对不同缓冲材料、薄壁球壳壁厚、薄壁球壳粒径等方案进行了跌落仿真计算,探究了不同特征参数对缓冲性能的影响,并搭建跌落试验平台对各方案进行试验,验证了耦合模型的准确性;最后对缓冲性能最佳的壁厚0.3 mm、粒径32 mm薄壁球壳介质方案进行了9 m跌落试验验证,并通过相似理论推算出原型样机在该工况下的加速度为56.1g,包容边界剪切应力为215 MPa,轴向应力为867 MPa,均满足了相关标准要求。本文研究可为核乏燃料转运容器缓冲器设计提供新的思路。 展开更多
