Analysis of the effect of temperature and packing method on the quality and oxidative stability of walnuts in storage

Walnuts are rich in a variety of nutritional components.However,due to their high content of unsaturated fatty acids(UFAs),the quality of walnuts tends to decline during storage,which adversely affects the development of the walnut industry.This study was aimed to investigate the impacts of temperature and packaging methods on the storage quality and oxidative stability of walnuts.The Wen 185 walnut variety was selected,and the physical-chemical and nutritional indexes of walnuts stored for 42 weeks under different temperatures(18℃,4℃,and room temperature)and packaging methods(vacuum light-exposed,vacuum light-proof,vacuum-ra-diation light-exposed,vacuum-radiation light-proof,nitrogen-filled light-exposed,nitrogen-filled light-proof)were measured.The results showed that low temperatures,especially18℃,in combination with vacuum lightproof packaging,could effectively suppress the increase in oxidative stability indicators such as acid value(AV)and peroxide value(PV),and maintain high retention rates of nutritional indicators like tocopherol and phytosterol.This study has elucidated that low temperatures and appropriate packaging methods play the crucial roles in maintaining the quality and oxidative stability of walnuts during storage.It has provided comprehensive and valuable data support and theoretical basis for the scientific storage of walnuts,contributing to the devel-opment of the walnut industry and the guarantee of product quality. 展开更多

Ceria-zirconia based mixed oxides(CZs)have been applied in three-way catalysts(TWCs)for their high surface area and oxygen storage capacity(OSC).In this work,enhanced thermal stability of Ce_(0.33)Zr_(0.55)(LaNdY)_(0.12)O_(2)mixed oxides was realized via a facile and scalable approach,namely,sulfateaided coprecipitation method was labelled as CZ-S.Sulfate ion(SO_(4)^(2-))was added into raw solution in the form of sulfuric acid and acted as coordination agent.The control sample was prepared by conventional coprecipitation method without sulfuric acid added and labelled as CZ.The promotion effect of sulfate ion was analyzed systematically by X-ray diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),N_(2)adsorption-desorption,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),OSC and hydrogen temperatureprogrammed reduction(H_(2)-TPR)analysis.XRD and high resolution TEM results reveal that CZ-S have homogeneous distributions of elements.TEM and SEM images show that fresh samples of CZ-S have narrower distributions of grain sizes and larger pore sizes than those of CZ.Through cross analysis of structure and morphology of CZ and CZ-S,we find that the introduction of sulfate ions results in uniform distributions of elements,narrows distributions of grain sizes,and enables the formation of secondary loose packing of sub-particles,which lead to enhanced thermal stability of the samples of CZ-S upon aging process at high temperature.After aging treatment at 1100℃for 10 h,aged samples of CZ-S present larger specific surface areas and pore volumes than the aged sample prepared by conventional coprecipitation method without sulfate ions added.Furthermore,the aged sample of CZ-S2(SO_(4)^(2-)/Zr=1)possesses the highest specific surface area of 21.9 m2/g and the biggest pore volume of 0.035 mL/g among all aged samples. 展开更多

In this paper, the mechanical properties of gas hydrate-bearing sediments (GHBS) were summarized and the instability mechanism of submarine hydrate-bearing slope (SHBS) was analyzed under the background of the test production of gas hydrate in the northern part of the South China Sea. The strength reduction finite element method (SRFEM) was introduced to the stability analysis of submarine slopes for the safety of the test production. Two schemes were designed to determine the physical and mechanical parameters of four target wells. Through the division of the hydrate dissociation region and the design of four working conditions, the range and degree of hydrate dissociation at different stages during the test production were simulated. Based on the software ABAQUS, 37 FEM models of SHBS were set up to analyze and assess the stability of the submarine slopes in the area of the test production. Necessary information such as safety factors, deformation, and displacement were obtained at different stages and under different working conditions. According to the calculation results, the submarine slope area is stable before the test production, and the safety factors almost remains the same during and after the test production. All these indicate that the test production has no obvious influence on the area of the test production and the submarine slopes in the area are stable during and after the test production. 展开更多

This paper is concerned with the stability analysis of reinforced slopes.A new approach based on the limit equilibrium principle is proposed to evaluate the stability of the reinforced slopes.The effect of reinforcement is modeled as an equivalent restoring force acting the bottom of the slice and added into the general limit equilibrium(GLE) method.The equations of force and moment equilibrium of the slice are derived and corresponding iterative solution methods are provided.The new method can satisfy both the force and the moment equilibrium and be applicable to the critical failure surface of arbitrary form.Furthermore,the results predicted by the proposed method are compared with the calculation examples of other researchers and the centrifuge model test results to validate its correctness and effectiveness. 展开更多

For real-time dynamic substructure testing(RTDST),the influence of the inertia force of fluid specimens on the stability and accuracy of the integration algorithms has never been investigated.Therefore,this study proposes to investigate the stability and accuracy of the central difference method(CDM)for RTDST considering the specimen mass participation coefficient.First,the theory of the CDM for RTDST is presented.Next,the stability and accuracy of the CDM for RTDST considering the specimen mass participation coefficient are investigated.Finally,numerical simulations and experimental tests are conducted for verifying the effectiveness of the method.The study indicates that the stability of the algorithm is affected by the mass participation coefficient of the specimen,and the stability limit first increases and then decreases as the mass participation coefficient increases.In most cases,the mass participation coefficient will increase the stability limit of the algorithm,but in specific circumstances,the algorithm may lose its stability.The stability and accuracy of the CDM considering the mass participation coefficient are verified by numerical simulations and experimental tests on a three-story frame structure with a tuned liquid damper. 展开更多

Slope stability analysis is a classical mechanical problem in geotechnical engineering and engineering geology.It is of great significance to study the stability evolution of expansive soil slopes for engineering construction in expansive soil areas.Most of the existing studies evaluate the slope stability by analyzing the limit equilibrium state of the slope,and the analysis method for the stability evolution considering the damage softening of the shear zone is lacking.In this study,the large deformation shear mechanical behavior of expansive soil was investigated by ring shear test.The damage softening characteristic of expansive soil in the shear zone was analyzed,and a shear damage model reflecting the damage softening behavior of expansive soil was derived based on the damage theory.Finally,by skillfully combining the vector sum method and the shear damage model,an analysis method for the stability evolution of the expansive soil slope considering the shear zone damage softening was proposed.The results show that the shear zone subjected to large displacement shear deformation exhibits an obvious damage softening phenomenon.The damage variable equation based on the logistic function can be well used to describe the shear damage characteristics of expansive soil,and the proposed shear damage model is in good agreement with the ring shear test results.The vector sum method considering the damage softening behavior of the shear zone can be well applied to analyze the stability evolution characteristics of the expansive soil slope.The stability factor of the expansive soil slope decreases with the increase of shear displacement,showing an obvious progressive failure behavior. 展开更多

In both algorithms, the solution is represented as decomposition on special basic functions, which satisfy given a priori information on solution, and this idea allow us significantly to improve the quality of approximate solution and simplify solving the minimization problem. Compositely doped oxide La0.5Sr0.5CoO2.91 (LSC) was synthesized using solid state reaction and citric acid-nitrate low temperature self-propagating combustion methods. The crystal structure and the particle size micrograph of LSC powders synthesized by different methods were investigated with XRD and SEM. The experimental results show that the single perovskite phase of LSC can be synthesized by solid state reaction method, but LaSrCoO4 phase appears in LSC powder synthesized by citric acid-nitrate low temperature self-propagating combustion method. The LSC particle by citric acid-nitrate low temperature self- propagating combustion method has smaller size. To analyze the character of cathode material based on Ceo.gGdo.101.95(GDC) electrolyte, two types of cathode wafers were fabricated with the two kinds of LSC and GDC powders at the mass rate of 6:4, respectively. The electrical conductivity of the sintered samples was measured by four probe DC method from 300 to 800 ℃. The cathode with LSC particle by citric acid- nitrate low temperature self-propagating combustion method has higher electrical conductivity. In order to investigate the stability, the two samples were put into the muffle furnace to heat up in air at 800℃for 800 h. To analysis the reason for reduced electrical conductivity, the crystal structure and the particle micrograph of the cathode wafers before and after an exposure were investigated with XRD and SEM. The result shows that new crystal structure appears in both the two kinds of cathode wafers and crystal micrographs change a lot. 展开更多

一步法合成La_(0.4)Sr_(0.6)Co_(0.2)Fe_(0.7)Nb_(0.1)O_(3-δ)-Ce_(0.8)Gd_(0.2)O_(2-δ)(LSCFN-CGO)混合电导对称电极,并采用La_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)Ga_(0.83)Mg_(0.17)O_(3-δ)(LSGM)作为电解质制备了结构为LSCFN-CGO‖_(LSGM)‖LSCFN-CGO... 一步法合成La_(0.4)Sr_(0.6)Co_(0.2)Fe_(0.7)Nb_(0.1)O_(3-δ)-Ce_(0.8)Gd_(0.2)O_(2-δ)(LSCFN-CGO)混合电导对称电极,并采用La_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)Ga_(0.83)Mg_(0.17)O_(3-δ)(LSGM)作为电解质制备了结构为LSCFN-CGO‖_(LSGM)‖LSCFN-CGO的对称电池。分别使用X射线衍射(XRD)仪和扫描电子显微镜(SEM)对LSCFN-CGO粉体物相及电极微观结构进行分析。一步法制得的LSCFN-CGO电极粉体为纯相,LSCFN钙钛矿相与CGO萤石相具备极好的化学相容性,且烧结得到了良好微观结构的对称电极。采用H_(2)(3%H_(2)O)、C_(3)H_(8)(3%H_(2)O)为燃料气测试电池性能,850℃电池最大功率密度可分别达980和869mW/cm^(2)。稳定性测试在C_(3)H_(8)(3%H_(2)O)气氛中0.3 A/cm^(2)的恒流放电条件下进行,全程共420 h,衰减较小,期间进行8次电极氧化还原循环,对称电极具有理想的碳基燃料下氧化还原再生能力。结果表明,采用一步法合成混合电导电极是一种简便、优化的电极制备方法,具有广阔的应用前景。 展开更多

A series of stearates with different rare-earth ion were investigated as thermal stabilizers for rigid PVC at 180 ℃ in air. Their stabilizing efficiency was based on measuring the rate of dehydrochlorination. The resulted revealed the higher stabilizing efficiency of the investigated rare-earth stearates as thermal stabilizers for rigid PVC compared with the thermal stabilizers for industry: calcium stearate, zinc stearate, butyl stannum mercaptide, phosphite esters, β-diketone and epoxidized sunflower oil. This was well illustrated by longer incubation period (T_S) values and lower rate of dehydrochlorination. The stable efficiency was affected by the nature of rare-earth element's individual electronic shell. The mechanism for the stabilizing effect of rare-earth stearates was proposed. The result was experimentally proved based on IR spectrum. 展开更多

目的建立测定不同材质、同种材质不同品种药品包装材料(简称药包材)溶出物中总有机碳(TOC)含量的紫外/过硫酸盐湿法氧化非色散红外检测(NDIR)法。方法收集金属、塑料、橡胶、复合材料4类材质的85批样品,选择过硫酸钠(质量浓度为80 g/L)... 目的建立测定不同材质、同种材质不同品种药品包装材料(简称药包材)溶出物中总有机碳(TOC)含量的紫外/过硫酸盐湿法氧化非色散红外检测(NDIR)法。方法收集金属、塑料、橡胶、复合材料4类材质的85批样品,选择过硫酸钠(质量浓度为80 g/L)作为氧化剂,以邻苯二甲酸氢钾(KHP)和蔗糖为标准物质,采用TOC分析仪测定TOC响应值,参考2020年版《中国药典(四部)》0862制药用水中TOC测定法进行方法学考察。结果KHP和蔗糖2种标准物质的质量浓度分别在0.20~20.00 mg/L和0.25~50.00 mg/L范围内与仪器响应值线性关系良好(r≥0.9999);仪器检测限为33.11~34.30μg/L,定量限为100.34~103.93μg/L;精密度试验的RSD为0.16%~7.46%(n=6);KHP、蔗糖的加样回收率分别为91.37%~119.78%和86.08%~121.82%,RSD分别为0.02%~5.31%和0.01%~8.78%(n=9)。4类材质85批药包材样品中的TOC含量为0.35~17.29 mg/L。结论该方法操作简便,灵敏度和精密度好,方法重复性和准确度高,能快速检测不同材质药包材中TOC的含量。 展开更多

Employing an ideal elasto-plastic model,the typically used strength reduction method reduced the strength of all soil elements of a slope.Therefore,this method was called the global strength reduction method(GSRM).However,the deformation field obtained by GSRM could not reflect the real deformation of a slope when the slope became unstable.For most slopes,failure occurs once the strength of some regional soil is sufficiently weakened; thus,the local strength reduction method(LSRM)was proposed to analyze slope stability.In contrast with GSRM,LSRM only reduces the strength of local soil,while the strength of other soil remains unchanged.Therefore,deformation by LSRM is more reasonable than that by GSRM.In addition,the accuracy of the slope's deformation depends on the constitutive model to a large degree,and the variable-modulus elasto-plastic model was thus adopted.This constitutive model was an improvement of the Duncan–Chang model,which modified soil's deformation modulus according to stress level,and it thus better reflected the plastic feature of soil.Most importantly,the parameters of the variable-modulus elasto-plastic model could be determined through in-situ tests,and parameters determination by plate loading test and pressuremeter test were introduced.Therefore,it is easy to put this model into practice.Finally,LSRM and the variable-modulus elasto-plastic model were used to analyze Egongdai ancient landslide.Safety factor,deformation field,and optimal reinforcement measures for Egongdai ancient landslide were obtained based on the proposed method. 展开更多

Velocity plus displacement equivalent force control for real-time substructure testing 被引量:2

This paper employs a velocity plus displacement(V+D)-based equivalent force control(EFC) method to solve the velocity/displacement difference equation in a real-time substructure test. This method uses type 2 feedback control loops to replace mathematical iteration to solve the nonlinear dynamic equation. A spectral radius analysis of the amplification matrix shows that the type 2 EFC-explicit, Newmark-β method has beneficial numerical characteristics for this method. Its stability limit of Ω = 2 remains unchanged regardless of the system damping because the velocity is achieved with very high accuracy during simulation. In contrast, the stability limits of the central difference method using direct velocity prediction and the EFC-average acceleration method with linear interpolation are shown to decrease with an increase in system damping. In fact, the EFC-average acceleration method is shown to change from unconditionally stable to conditionally stable. We also show that if an over-damped system with a damping ratio of 1.05 is considered, the stability limit is reduced to Ω =1.45. Finally, the results from an experiment with a single-degree-of-freedom structure installed with a magneto-rheological(MR) damper are presented. The results demonstrate that the proposed method is able to follow both displacement and velocity commands with moderate accuracy, resulting in improved test performance and accuracy for structures that are sensitive to both velocity and displacement inputs. Although the findings of the study are promising, additional test data and several further improvements will be required to draw general conclusions. 展开更多
