A sparse approximation algorithm based on projection is presented in this paper in order to overcome the limitation of the non-sparsity of least squares support vector machines (LS-SVM). The new inputs are projected into the subspace spanned by previous basis vectors (BV) and those inputs whose squared distance from the subspace is higher than a threshold are added in the BV set, while others are rejected. This consequently results in the sparse approximation. In addition, a recursive approach to deleting an exiting vector in the BV set is proposed. Then the online LS-SVM, sparse approximation and BV removal are combined to produce the sparse online LS-SVM algorithm that can control the size of memory irrespective of the processed data size. The suggested algorithm is applied in the online modeling of a pH neutralizing process and the isomerization plant of a refinery, respectively. The detailed comparison of computing time and precision is also given between the suggested algorithm and the nonsparse one. The results show that the proposed algorithm greatly improves the sparsity just with little cost of precision. 展开更多

However, processes often lack flexibility offered by projects. This paper dis~ the relationship of conceptual characteristics between process and project, gives low-level details to tackle the difference between them, and proposes an enterprise process modeling method for project management. Least squares projection twin support vector machine(LSPTSVM)has faster computing speed than classical least squares support vector machine(LSSVM).However,LSPTSVM is sensitive to outliers and its solution lacks sparsity.Therefore,it is difficult for LSPTSVM to process large-scale datasets with outliers.In this paper,we propose a robust LSPTSVM model(called R-LSPTSVM)by applying truncated least squares loss function.The robustness of R-LSPTSVM is proved from a weighted perspective.Furthermore,we obtain the sparse solution of R-LSPTSVM by using the pivoting Cholesky factorization method in primal space.Finally,the sparse R-LSPTSVM algorithm(SR-LSPTSVM)is proposed.Experimental results show that SR-LSPTSVM is insensitive to outliers and can deal with large-scale datasets fastly. 展开更多

Therefore, correctly identifying the financial benefits of IT projects is the precondition to ensure the validity of the financial evaluation. Essentially, IT projects can be divided into productive IT projects and supportive IT projects. The paper analyzes the importance of identifying the financial benefits and introduces the meaning, characteristics and classification of financial benefits of IT projects. On this basis, the paper identifies the financial benefits of both productive IT projects and supportive IT projects and emphasizes the formation and specific calculation method of the two types of IT projects. For productive IT projects and supportive IT projects, the calculation of financial benefits should employ different methods. 展开更多

The manuscript presents an augmented Lagrangian—fast projected gradient method (ALFPGM) with an improved scheme of working set selection, pWSS, a decomposition based algorithm for training support vector classification machines (SVM). The manuscript describes the ALFPGM algorithm, provides numerical results for training SVM on large data sets, and compares the training times of ALFPGM and Sequential Minimal Minimization algorithms (SMO) from Scikit-learn library. The numerical results demonstrate that ALFPGM with the improved working selection scheme is capable of training SVM with tens of thousands of training examples in a fraction of the training time of some widely adopted SVM tools. 展开更多

焦炉煤气多组分浓度测量对优化炼焦工艺,提升能源利用率,减少污染物排放,以及保障安全生产具有重要意义。为提高拉曼光谱对焦炉煤气多组分测量的准确度,基于特征提取和小样本建模的思想,提出一种连续投影与支持向量机算法(SPA-SVM)联用... 焦炉煤气多组分浓度测量对优化炼焦工艺,提升能源利用率,减少污染物排放,以及保障安全生产具有重要意义。为提高拉曼光谱对焦炉煤气多组分测量的准确度,基于特征提取和小样本建模的思想,提出一种连续投影与支持向量机算法(SPA-SVM)联用模型。首先,对比不同机器学习全光谱建模的预测精度,通过留一交叉验证法(LOOCV)确定SVM算法偏差(最小)。为进一步提高模型运行速度和精度,采用SPA算法筛选焦炉煤气的光谱数据特征点,利用特征数据建模并反演多组分浓度。结果表明,H_(2)、CO_(2)、CO、N_(2)和CH_(4)浓度预测值的决定系数R^(2)分别达到0.9918、0.9975、0.9985、0.9872和0.9958,5种组分的平均绝对百分比误差(MAPE)分别为1.2%、0.5%、0.6%、2.6%、0.8%,准确度优于全光谱建模。该研究对焦炉煤气多组分精准测量提供了方法参考。 展开更多
