Although many methods of spatial analysis have been developed for a better understanding and modelling of urban space analysis, there is still a need for exploration of new analytical techniques for modelling urban spaces. Space Syntax models the spatial configurations of urban spaces by using a connectivity graph representation. Such a configuration of space identifies patterns that can be used to study urban structures and human behaviors. This paper tries to present a new methodology to investigate the urban spatial structure by using Space Syntax with the GIS information including land use, buildings’ characteristics and practical evaluations of the potential of the Space Syntax approach with GIS and multivariate analysis technique. Finally we try to offer some recommendations that attempt to improve the identified problems faced in Kitakyushu, Japan. 展开更多

In the past decade, rural tourism has become the main driving force for industrial transformation and economic growth in rural areas of China. Taking three tourism-oriented villages in Jizhou District, Tianjin, namely Xiaochuanfangyu Village, Dongshuichang Village and Maojiayu Village, as the objects of the research, this paper analyzed the influence of rural tourism on the evolution of rural residential space from the perspectives of the spatial pattern and architectural style at the microscopic scale. 展开更多

The imaging plane of inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) is the projection plane of the target. When taking an image using the range-Doppler theory, the imaging plane may have a spatial-variant property, which causes the change of scatter's projection position and results in migration through resolution cells, In this study, we focus on the spatial-variant property of the imaging plane of a three-axis-stabilized space target. The innovative contributions are as follows. 1) The target motion model in orbit is provided based on a two-body model. 2) The instantaneous imaging plane is determined by the method of vector analysis. 3) Three Euler angles are introduced to describe the spatial-variant property of the imaging plane, and the image quality is analyzed. The simulation results confirm the analysis of the spatial-variant property. The research in this study is significant for the selection of the imaging segment, and provides the evidence for the following data processing and compensation algorithm. 展开更多

Red turpentine beetle (RTB), Dendroctongs valens LeConte, is a destructive forest invasive species in China, it mainly attacks Pings tabuliformis and P. bungeana. So far it has spread rapidly to the provinces of Shanxi, Hebei, Henan, Shanxi and Beijing since its first outbreak in Shanxi Province in 1998, and has caused extensive tree mortality. Space-time dynamics of D. valens population and spatial sampling technique based on its spatial distribution pattern were ana- lyzed using geostatistical methods in the pure P. tabuliforis forests and mixedwood stands which were at different damage levels. According to the spatial distribu- tion of D. valeas population, the specific spatial sampling technique was also studied, and then was compared with traditional sampling technique. The spatial sam- piing technique combined with sampling theory and the biological characteristics of D. valens population, which not only could calcnlate the error of the sampling, but also could discuss the optimal sampling number and the optimum size of plot according to different damage levels and different stand types. This helps to explain population expansion and colonization mechanism of D. valens, and to provide a good reference for adopting snitable control measures. 展开更多

“In Space” or “As Space”?: Spatial Autocorrelation Properties of the Earth’s Interior

In this analysis, natural systems are posed to subsystemize in a manner facilitating both structured information/energy sharing and an entropy maximization process projecting a three-dimensional, spatial outcome. Numerical simulations were first carried out to determine whether n × n input-output matrices could, once entropy-maximized, project a three-dimensional Euclidean metric. Only 4 × 4 matrices could;a small proportion passed the test. Larger proportions passed when grouped random patterns on and within two- and three-dimensional forms were tested. The pattern of structural zonation within the earth was then tested in analogous fashion using spatial autocorrelation measures, and for three time periods: current, 95 million years b.p. and 200 million years b.p. All expected results were obtained;not only do the geometries of zonation project a three-dimensional structure as anticipated, but also do secondary statistical measures reveal levels of equilibrium among the zones in all three cases that are nearly total, distinguishing them from simulations that do not incorporate a varying-surface zone-width element. 展开更多

We assessed these forms of neglect in a patient with USN. We promoted sight scanning in extrapersonal space and used an eye camera to measure gaze movement. We found left-sided sight scanning in peripersonal space, but right-side-biased sight scanning in extrapersonal space. Additionally, line of sight was corrected when the patient was instructed to look left in extrapersonal space and to focus the line of sight at the center. Gaze measurement thus helped to assess disparities in spatial neglect in USN. 展开更多

This paper takes urban eco-water recreation space as the experiment object, explores the spatial alienation process of eco-landscape attraction, i.e., the homogeneous landscapes' attraction prefers alienation after factor magnetic field's differentiation, and then the attraction spaces of similar landscape areas are apt to alienation, finally leading to another new eco-landscape attraction's spatial structure of "homogeneous landscapes repel each other, heterogeneous landscapes attract" and the construction of eco-recreation alternating buffer model. 生态网络构建作为一种有效的生态手段,对于保护物种多样性,建设城市生态空间及优化国土空间资源配置方面有积极意义。利用Arcgis平台运算、对遥感数据解译利用等新技术,应用层次分析法(AHP)、专家打分法(德尔菲法)等分析方法使生态网络... 生态网络构建作为一种有效的生态手段,对于保护物种多样性,建设城市生态空间及优化国土空间资源配置方面有积极意义。利用Arcgis平台运算、对遥感数据解译利用等新技术,应用层次分析法(AHP)、专家打分法(德尔菲法)等分析方法使生态网络的构建更加精准。以CNKI、WOS为数据源,用知识图谱计算工具CiteSpace进行定量分析,通过数据可视化与内容的结合进行研究,对于构建生态网络方面的研究进展、研究方法进行分析,特别是针对“MCR模型”在生态网络的应用进行深入研究,对不同尺度范围绿地生态网络构建方法进行总结,最后对未来研究发展态势作出展望。结果表明,我国基于MCR模型构建生态网络的研究,按照发文量可分为3个阶段,即启蒙阶段、快速发展阶段、稳步发展阶段;而现阶段最小阻力模型(MCR)在生态网络的应用已经趋于成熟,只是在因子选取及赋值方面未形成统一科学标准;此外,研究尺度呈现多元化,涉及市、省、城市群等多尺度。 展开更多

After the understanding of the concept and characteristics of waterfront architectural space, by taking library, archive, and science and technology museum in Fuqing City for example, the paper had pointed out design techniques and features of their natural geological space, planning structure space, traditional courtyard space and architectural indoor space. It had illustrated their structure of "one center and three axes" in detail. Environmental factor had been regarded in plane planning layout. Semi-enclosed space of "cultural square", sequential space of "open courtyard", and well-spaced space of "vertical ecological courtyard" had been created. Based on these spaces, courtyard and garden environments for reading, rest, leisure and communication had been constructed. 面对全球老龄化加剧和临终关怀服务短缺的现状,本研究从环境心理学视角探索临终关怀教育空间的优化设计。针对当前国内多数机构采用标准化空间,导致使用者焦虑加剧的问题,研究基于人与环境互动理论及社会支持的空间转化原理,提出空间需... 面对全球老龄化加剧和临终关怀服务短缺的现状,本研究从环境心理学视角探索临终关怀教育空间的优化设计。针对当前国内多数机构采用标准化空间,导致使用者焦虑加剧的问题,研究基于人与环境互动理论及社会支持的空间转化原理,提出空间需同时满足教学培训、心理疗愈与文化启蒙3个功能。研究得出3个设计策略:首先创建灵活可变的时空系统,如使用智能隔断与虚拟现实技术协调不同使用者的需求;其次建立分层次心理干预模型,从恢复环境控制权到重建社会关系的联结,最终引导到生命意义的认知;最后运用文化符号转化手法,借助自然光影、仪式动线和普世灵性元素,将死亡教育融入空间体验。 展开更多
