Fast prediction of vibration source intensity induced by metro trains moving on regular and floating slab tracks

A complementary method to determine the vibration source intensity,defined as the weighted vertical acceleration level at the tunnel wall,is needed urgently when comparable measurements or database predictions are unavailable in empirical predictions.In this study,we present an analytical model designed to quickly and accurately estimate the vibration source intensity produced by moving metro trains,considering both regular and floating slab tracks.The improved periodic pipe-in-pipe(PiP)model with regular or floating slabs affixed to the tunnel invert was developed.The train loads are represented in the frequency-wavenumber domain to apply in the model.Measured track irregularities were applied and the proposed model was validated against the measured results and verified by a tunnel-soil coupled model.The proposed approach effectively and accurately assessed the vibration source intensity generated by underground trains in a prediction time of just 58 s.Track irregularities significantly affect the vibration source intensity,making them a key factor in comparable measurements or database predictions.A floating slab track can reduce the vibration source intensity by about 14 dB.The proposed approach can serve as an additional method to complement comparable measurements or database predictions for determining the vibration source intensity in empirical predictions. 展开更多

Agricultural Non-point Source Pollution in China:Evaluation,Convergence Characteristics and Spatial Effects 被引量:7

In this study,an inventory analysis approach was used to investigate the intensity of agricultural non-point source pollution(ANSP)and its spatial convergence at national and provincial levels in China from 1999 to 2017.On this basis,spatial factors affecting ANSP were explored by constructing a spatial econometric model.The results indicate that:1)The intensity of China's ANSP emission showed an overall upward trend and an obvious spatial difference,with the values being high in the eastern and central regions and relatively low in the western region.2)Significant spatial agglomeration was shown in China's ANSP intensity,and the agglomeration effect was increasing gradually.3)In the convergence analysis,a spatial lag model was found applicable for interpretation of the ANSP intensity,with the convergence rate being accelerated after considering the spatial factors but slower than that of regional economic growth.4)The spatial factors affecting the ANSP intensity are shown to be reduced by improving agricultural infrastructure investment,labor-force quality,and crop production ratio,while the expansion of agricultural economy scale and precipitation and runoff have positive impact on ANSP in the study region.However,agricultural research and development(R&D)investment showed no direct significant effect on the ANSP intensity.Meanwhile,improving the quality of the labor force would significantly reduce the ANSP intensity in the surrounding areas,while the precipitation and runoff would significantly increase the pollution of neighboring regions.This research has laid a theoretical basis for formulation and optimization of ANSP prevention strategies in China and related regions. 展开更多

We investigate experimentally and numerically the quantitative dependence of characteristics of a low-velocity intensity source(LVIS) of atomic beam on light parameters, especially the polarization of cooling laser along the atomic beam axis(pushing beam). By changing the polarization of the pushing beam, the longitudinal mean velocity of a rubidium atomic beam can be tuned continuously from 10 to 20 m/s and the flux can range from 3 × 10^-8 to 1 × 10^-9 atoms/s, corresponding to the maximum sensitivity of the velocity with respect to the polarization angle of 20(m/s)/rad and the mean sensitivity of flux of 1.2 × 10^-9(atoms/s)/rad. The mechanism is explained with a Monte-Carlo based numerical simulation method, which shows a qualitative agreement with the experimental result. This is also a demonstration of a method enabling the fast and continuous modulation of a low-velocity intense source of cold atomic beam on the velocity or flux,which can be used in many fields, like the development of a cold atomic beam interferometer and atom lithography. 展开更多

An experiment following the VMMXS is implemented to present its performances, including the influence of grid electrode potential on x-ray intensities. The modulation type of the grid electrode as a switch is proposed, and its feasibility is successfully demonstrated. It is noteworthy to discover a phenomenon for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, that the high repetition frequency grid pulse of the VMMXS has a significant effect on the x-ray intensity. Comparative analysis of the prediction accuracy of hydrogen cloud explosion overpressure peak based on three kinds of theoretical models

Hydrogen energy is pivotal in the energy transition due to its high efficiency and zero-emission characteristics.However,the potential for explosions constrains its broader application.Gaining insights into the dynamics of overpressure in hydrogen explosions is vital for the safe design of explosion-proof facilities and the determination of equipment spacing.This study investigates hydrogen explosions in open spaces of 1 and 27 m3 volumes,analyzing flame propagation and overpressure distribution.It also evaluates the accuracy of three theoretical models in predicting peak overpressure.The results reveal that the spherical flame from a hydrogen cloud explosion transforms into an ellipsoidal shape upon contact with the ground.The average flame propagation velocity across different equivalent ratio is ordered as follows:V_(a)(φ=1.0)>V_(a)(φ=1.5)>V_(a)(φ=2.5)>V_(a)(φ=0.5).At equivalent distances,the peak overpressure of hydrogen cloud explosions is comparable across both scales.The traditional trinitrotoluene model overestimates the peak overpressure of hydrogen cloud explosions at both scales.The optimized trinitrotoluene model achieves over 90%accuracy in predicting hydrogen cloud explosions in 1 m^(3)volumes but shows decreased accuracy in 27 m^(3)explosions.At source intensity level 3,the Nederlandse Organisatie voor Toegepast Natuurwetenschappelijk Onderzoek multi-energy model exhibits a prediction accuracy of over 70%for peak overpressure in hydrogen cloud explosions,with consistent performance across different scales,rendering it a more reliable model for such predictions.This research enhances hydrogen safety assessment technologies by providing a more precise method for evaluating large-scale hydrogen cloud explosion risks. 展开更多
