Thermodynamical prediction of M//s in ternary Fe-Mn-Si alloys was established. The fcc ( gamma ) yields hcp ( epsilon ) martensitic transformation in Fe-Mn-Si is a semi-thermoelastic and the nucleation process does not strongly depend on soft mode. Nucleation occurs directly through an overlapping of stacking fault rather than pole mechanism, and it is suggested that stacking fault energy (SFE) is the main factor controlling nucleation. Based on the phenomenological theory of martensite crystallography, a shuffle on (0001)//h//c//p plane is required when d//1//1//1 does not equal d//0//0//0//2. The derived principal strain in Bain distortion is smaller, i, e., more reasonable than the values given by Christian. Alloying elements strengthening the austenite, lowering SFE of gamma phase and reducing T//N** gamma temperature may be beneficial to shape memory effect of Fe-Mn-Si based alloys. Accordingly, Fe-Mn-Si-RE and Fe-Mn-Si-Cr-N (or Fe-Mn-Si-Ni-Cr-N) are worthy to be recommended as shape memory materials with improved shape memory effect. (Edited author abstract) 48 Refs.展开更多

Simulation results show that plasmon-induced transparency (PIT) occurs in the transmission spectra, and the sharp asymmetric Fano lines increase the sensitivity to 1.4 ×10^3 nm/RIU. We also analyze the properties of the structure with different radii of the nanodisk and the length of the tooth cavity. Moreover, we find that the PIP only happens when the staggered system is around a fixed location with different separate distances, which is not similar to the previous researches. Our model may be important to photonic-integrated circuits and the sensitivity in sensors.展开更多

In order to solve this problem, we study the theoretical model of the temporal phase unwrapping method based on the fringe cycle correction. We also study the 3D shape measurement theoretical model of the larger complex objects after considering the coordinate deviation and lens distortion. Experimental results demonstrate that the fringe cycle on the reference plane can be corrected to a constant value, the lens distortion can be corrected, and 3D shape of larger complex objects can be accurately measured.展开更多

This technique can adaptively adjust the voltages of the 19 actuators on the DM to reduce the difference between the target beam shape and the actual beam shape. Numerical simulations and experimental results show that within the stroke range of the DM, this technique can be well used to create the given beam intensity profiles on the focal plane.展开更多

The proposed 3D model descriptor scheme consists of three steps. In the first step, Poisson equation is utilized to define a 3D model signature. Next, the local orientation is calculated for each voxel of the model using Hessian matrix. As the final step, a histogram-based 3D model descriptor is extracted by accumulating the values of the local orientation in bins. Due to efficiency of Poisson equation in describing the models with various structures, the proposed descriptor is capable of discriminating these models accurately. Since, the inner vox- els have a dominant contribution in the formation of the de- scriptor, sufficient robustness against noise can be achieved. This is because the noise mostly influences the boundary vox- els. Furthermore, we improve the retrieval performance us- ing support vector machine based one-shot score (SVM-OSS) similarity measure, which is more efficient than the conven- tional methods to compute the distance of feature vectors. The rotation normalization is performed employing the prin- cipal component analysis. To demonstrate the applicability of HLO, we implement experimental evaluations of precision- recall curve on ESB, PSB and WM-SHREC databases of 3D models. Experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed descriptor compared to some current methods.展开更多
