As buildings account for over 40% of global energy consumption, innovative solution...The growing energy demand of buildings, driven by rapid urbanization, poses significant challenges for sustainable urban development. As buildings account for over 40% of global energy consumption, innovative solutions are needed to improve efficiency, resilience, and environmental performance. This paper reviews the integration of Digital Twin (DT) technologies and Machine Learning (ML) for optimizing energy management in smart buildings connected to smart grids. A key enabler of this integration is the Internet of Things (IoT), which provides the sensor networks and real-time data streams that fee/d DT–ML frameworks, enabling accurate monitoring, forecasting, and adaptive control. Through this synergy, DT–ML systems enhance energy prediction, occupant comfort, and automated fault detection, while also supporting broader sustainability goals. The review examines recent advances in DT–ML energy systems, with attention to enabling technologies such as IoT sensor networks, building energy management systems, edge–cloud computing, and advanced analytics. Key challenges including data interoperability, cybersecurity, scalability, and the need for standardized frameworks are critically discussed, along with emerging solutions such as federated learning and blockchain. Special focus is given to human-centric digital twin frameworks that integrate user comfort and behavioral adaptation into energy optimization strategies. The findings suggest that DT–ML integration, enabled by IoT sensor networks, has the potential to significantly reduce energy consumption, lower operational costs, and improve resilience in urban infrastructures. Local control parameters such as instantaneous delay and instantaneous amplitude play an essential role in evaluating the performance and maintaining the stability of real-time hybrid simulation(RTHS).However,existing...Local control parameters such as instantaneous delay and instantaneous amplitude play an essential role in evaluating the performance and maintaining the stability of real-time hybrid simulation(RTHS).However,existing methods have limitations in obtaining this local assessment in either the time domain or frequency domain.In this study,the instantaneous frequency is introduced to determine local control parameters for actuator tracking assessment in a real-time hybrid simulation.Instantaneous properties,including amplitude,delay,frequency and phase,are then calculated based on analytic signals translated from actuator tracking signals through the Hilbert transform.Potential issues are discussed and solutions are proposed for calculation of local control parameters.Numerical simulations are first conducted for sinusoidal and chirp signals with time varying amplitude error and delay to demonstrate the potential of the proposed method.Laboratory tests also are conducted for a predefined random signal as well as the RTHS of a single degree of freedom structure with a self-centering viscous damper to experimentally verify the effectiveness of the proposed use of the instantaneous frequency.Results from the ensuing analysis clearly demonstrate that the instantaneous frequency provides great potential for local control assessment,and the proposed method enables local tracking parameters with good accuracy.展开更多

The mechanical properties and failure mechanism of lightweight aggregate concrete(LWAC)is a hot topic in the engineering field,and the relationship between its microstructure and macroscopic mechanical properties is a...The mechanical properties and failure mechanism of lightweight aggregate concrete(LWAC)is a hot topic in the engineering field,and the relationship between its microstructure and macroscopic mechanical properties is also a frontier research topic in the academic field.In this study,the image processing technology is used to establish a micro-structure model of lightweight aggregate concrete.Through the information extraction and processing of the section image of actual light aggregate concrete specimens,the mesostructural model of light aggregate concrete with real aggregate characteristics is established.The numerical simulation of uniaxial tensile test,uniaxial compression test and three-point bending test of lightweight aggregate concrete are carried out using a new finite element method-the base force element method respectively.Firstly,the image processing technology is used to produce beam specimens,uniaxial compression specimens and uniaxial tensile specimens of light aggregate concrete,which can better simulate the aggregate shape and random distribution of real light aggregate concrete.Secondly,the three-point bending test is numerically simulated.Thirdly,the uniaxial compression specimen generated by image processing technology is numerically simulated.Fourth,the uniaxial tensile specimen generated by image processing technology is numerically simulated.The mechanical behavior and damage mode of the specimen during loading were analyzed.The results of numerical simulation are compared and analyzed with those of relevant experiments.The feasibility and correctness of the micromodel established in this study for analyzing the micromechanics of lightweight aggregate concrete materials are verified.Image processing technology has a broad application prospect in the field of concrete mesoscopic damage analysis.展开更多

When ...Transmitted ultrasonic wave simulation (TUWS) in a digital core is one of the important elements of digital rock physics and is used to study wave propagation in porous cores and calculate equivalent velocity. When simulating wave propagates in a 3D digital core, two additional layers are attached to its two surfaces vertical to the wave-direction and one planar wave source and two receiver-arrays are properly installed. After source excitation, the two receivers then record incident and transmitted waves of the digital rock. Wave propagating velocity, which is the velocity of the digital core, is computed by the picked peak-time difference between the two recorded waves. To evaluate the accuracy of TUWS, a digital core is fully saturated with gas, oil, and water to calculate the corresponding velocities. The velocities increase with decreasing wave frequencies in the simulation frequency band, and this is considered to be the result of scattering. When the pore fluids are varied from gas to oil and finally to water, the velocity-variation characteristics between the different frequencies are similar, thereby approximately following the variation law of velocities obtained from linear elastic statics simulation (LESS), although their absolute values are different. However, LESS has been widely used. The results of this paper show that the transmission ultrasonic simulation has high relative precision.展开更多

The petrophysical properties of gas hydrate-bearing sediments(GHBS) are crucial for understanding the characteristics of gas hydrate reservoirs, the spatial distribution of natural gas hydrates, and their exploitation potential. Geophysical exploration remains the primary approach for investigating the petrophysical properties of GHBS. However, limitations in resolution make it challenging to accurately characterize complex sediment structures, leading to difficulties in precisely interpreting petrophysical properties. Laboratory-based petrophysical experiments provide highly accurate results for petrophysical properties. Despite their accuracy, these experiments are costly, and difficulties in controlling variables may introduce uncertainties into geophysical exploration models.Advances in imaging and simulation techniques have established digital rock technology as an indispensable tool for enhancing petrophysical experimentation. This technology offers a novel microscopic perspective for elucidating the three-dimensional(3D) spatial distribution and multi-physical responses of GHBS. This paper presents an in-depth discussion of digital rock technology as applied to GHBS, with an emphasis on digital rock reconstruction and simulation of petrophysical properties. First, we summarize two common methods for constructing digital rocks of GHBS: petrophysical experimental methods and numerical reconstruction methods, followed by analyses of their respective advantages and limitations. Next, we delve into numerical simulation methods for evaluating GHBS petrophysical properties, including electrical, elastic, and fluid flow characteristics. Finally, we conduct a comprehensive analysis of the current trends in digital rock reconstruction and petrophysical simulation techniques for GHBS, emphasizing the necessity of multi-scale, multi-component, high-resolution 3D digital rock models to facilitate the precise characterization of complex gas hydrate reservoirs. This study sheds light on how pore structure characteristics and varying dynamic pressure conditions influence the permeability of tight sandstone reservoirs,with a particular focus on the Paleozoic reservoirs in the ...This study sheds light on how pore structure characteristics and varying dynamic pressure conditions influence the permeability of tight sandstone reservoirs,with a particular focus on the Paleozoic reservoirs in the Qingshimao Gas Field.Using CT scans of natural core samples,a three-dimensional digital core was constructed.The maximum ball method was applied to extract a related pore network model,and the pore structure characteristics of the core samples,such as pore radius,throat radius,pore volume,and coordination number,were quantitatively evaluated.The analysis revealed a normally distributed pore radius,suggesting a high degree of reservoir homogeneity and favorable conditions for a connected pore system.However,it was found that the majority of throat radii measured less than 1μm,which severely restricted fluid flow and diminished permeability.Over 50%of the pores measured under 100μm^(3),further constraining fluid movement.Additionally,30%-50%of the pore network was composed of isolated and blind-end pores,which significantly impaired formation connectivity and reduced permeability.Based on this,the lattice Boltzmann method(LBM)was used for pore-scale flow simulation to investigate the influence mechanism of pore structure characteristics and dynamic-static parameters such as displacement pressure difference on the permeability performance of the considered tight sandstone reservoirs for various pressure gradients(0.1,1,and 10 MPa).The simulations revealed a strong relationship between pressure differential and both the number of streamlines and flow path tortuosity.When the pressure differential increased to 1 MPa,30 streamlines were observed,with a tortuosity factor of 1.5,indicating the opening of additional seepage channels and the creation of increasingly winding flow paths.展开更多
Jacket platforms constitute the foundational infrastructure of offshore oil and gas field exploitation.How to efficiently and accurately monitor the mechanical properties of jacket structures is one of the key problem...Jacket platforms constitute the foundational infrastructure of offshore oil and gas field exploitation.How to efficiently and accurately monitor the mechanical properties of jacket structures is one of the key problems to be solved to ensure the safe operation of the platform.To address the practical engineering problem that it is difficult to monitor the stress response of the tubular joints of jacket platforms online,a digital twin reduced-order method for real-time prediction of the stress response of tubular joints is proposed.In the offline construction phase,multi-scale modeling and multi-parameter experimental design methods are used to obtain the stress response data set of the jacket structure.Proper orthogonal decomposition is employed to extract the main feature information from the snapshot matrix,resulting in a reduced-order basis.The leave-one-out cross-validation method is used to select the optimal modal order for constructing the reduced-order model(ROM).In the online prediction phase,a digital twin model of the tubular joint is established,and the prediction performance of the ROM is analyzed and verified through using random environmental load and field environmental monitoring data.The results indicate that,compared with traditional numerical simulations of tubular joints,the ROM based on the proposed reduced-order method is more efficient in predicting the stress response of tubular joints while ensuring accuracy and robustness.展开更多
Electric vehicle(EV)monitoring systems commonly depend on IoT-based sensormeasurements to track key performance parameters such as vehicle speed,state of charge(SoC),battery temperature,power consumption,motor RPM,and...Electric vehicle(EV)monitoring systems commonly depend on IoT-based sensormeasurements to track key performance parameters such as vehicle speed,state of charge(SoC),battery temperature,power consumption,motor RPM,and regenerative braking.While these systems enable real-time data acquisition,they are often hindered by sensor noise,communication delays,andmeasurement uncertainties,which compromise their reliability for critical decision-making.To overcome these limitations,this study introduces a comparative framework that integrates reference signals,a digital twin model emulating ideal system behavior,and real-time IoT measurements.The digital twin provides a predictive and noise-resilient representation of EV dynamics,enabling enhanced monitoring accuracy.Six critical parameters are evaluated using root mean square error(RMSE),mean absolute error(MAE),maximum deviation,and correlation coefficient(R^(2)).Results show that the digital twin significantly improves estimation fidelity,with RMSE for speed reduced from 2.5 km/h(IoT)to 1.2 km/h and R^(2) values generally exceeding 0.99,except for regenerative braking which achieved 0.982.These findings demonstrate the framework’s effectiveness in improving operational safety,energy management,and system reliability,offering a robust foundation for future advancements in adaptive calibration,predictive analytics,and fault detection in EV systems.展开更多
The development of digital twins for geotechnical structures necessitates the real-time updates of threedimensional(3D)virtual models(e.g.numerical finite element method(FEM)model)to accurately predict time-varying ge...The development of digital twins for geotechnical structures necessitates the real-time updates of threedimensional(3D)virtual models(e.g.numerical finite element method(FEM)model)to accurately predict time-varying geotechnical responses(e.g.consolidation settlement)in a 3D spatial domain.However,traditional 3D numerical model updating approaches are computationally prohibitive and therefore difficult to update the 3D responses in real time.To address these challenges,this study proposes a novel machine learning framework called sparse dictionary learning(T-3D-SDL)for real-time updating of time-varying 3D geotechnical responses.In T-3D-SDL,a concerned dataset(e.g.time-varying 3D settlement)is approximated as a linear superposition of dictionary atoms generated from 3D random FEM analyses.Field monitoring data are then used to identify non-trivial atoms and estimate their weights within a Bayesian framework for model updating and prediction.The proposed approach enables the real-time update of temporally varying settlements with a high 3D spatial resolution and quantified uncertainty as field monitoring data evolve.The proposed approach is illustrated using an embankment construction project.The results show that the proposed approach effectively improves settlement predictions along temporal and 3D spatial dimensions,with minimal latency(e.g.within minutes),as monitoring data appear.In addition,the proposed approach requires only a reasonably small number of 3D FEM model evaluations,avoids the use of widely adopted yet often criticized surrogate models,and effectively addresses the limitations(e.g.computational inefficiency)of existing 3D model updating approaches.展开更多
In recent years,frequent fire disasters have led to enormous damage in China.Effective firefighting rescues can minimize the losses caused by fires.During the rescue processes,the travel time of fire trucks can be sev...In recent years,frequent fire disasters have led to enormous damage in China.Effective firefighting rescues can minimize the losses caused by fires.During the rescue processes,the travel time of fire trucks can be severely affected by traffic conditions,changing the effective coverage of fire stations.However,it is still challenging to determine the effective coverage of fire stations considering dynamic traffic conditions.This paper addresses this issue by combining the traveling time calculationmodelwith the effective coverage simulationmodel.In addition,it proposes a new index of total effective coverage area(TECA)based on the time-weighted average of the effective coverage area(ECA)to evaluate the urban fire services.It also selects China as the case study to validate the feasibility of the models,a fire station(FS-JX)in Changsha.FS-JX station and its surrounding 9,117 fire risk points are selected as the fire service supply and demand points,respectively.A total of 196 simulation scenarios throughout a consecutiveweek are analyzed.Eventually,1,933,815 sets of valid sample data are obtained.The results showed that the TECA of FS-JX is 3.27 km^(2),which is far below the standard requirement of 7.00 km^(2) due to the traffic conditions.The visualization results showed that three rivers around FS-JX interrupt the continuity of its effective coverage.The proposed method can provide data support to optimize the locations of fire stations by accurately and dynamically determining the effective coverage of fire stations.展开更多

The infrared scene simulation is explored by usin...Dynamic infrared scene simulation is for discovering and solving the problems encountered in designing, developing and manufacturing infrared imaging guidance weapons. The infrared scene simulation is explored by using the digital grayscale modulation method. The infrared image modulation model of a digital micro-mirror device (DMD) is established and then the infrared scene simulator prototype which is based on DMD grayscale modulation is developed. To evaluate its main parameters such as resolution, contrast, minimum temperature difference, gray scale, various DMD subsystems such as signal decoding, image normalization, synchronization drive, pulse width modulation (PWM) and DMD chips are designed. The infrared scene simulator is tested on a certain infrared missile seeker. The test results show preliminarily that the infrared scene simulator has high gray scale, small geometrical distortion and highly resolvable imaging resolution and contrast and yields high-fidelity images, thus being able to meet the requirements for the infrared scene simulation inside a laboratory.展开更多

文摘Local control parameters such as instantaneous delay and instantaneous amplitude play an essential role in evaluating the performance and maintaining the stability of real-time hybrid simulation(RTHS).However,existing methods have limitations in obtaining this local assessment in either the time domain or frequency domain.In this study,the instantaneous frequency is introduced to determine local control parameters for actuator tracking assessment in a real-time hybrid simulation.Instantaneous properties,including amplitude,delay,frequency and phase,are then calculated based on analytic signals translated from actuator tracking signals through the Hilbert transform.Potential issues are discussed and solutions are proposed for calculation of local control parameters.Numerical simulations are first conducted for sinusoidal and chirp signals with time varying amplitude error and delay to demonstrate the potential of the proposed method.Laboratory tests also are conducted for a predefined random signal as well as the RTHS of a single degree of freedom structure with a self-centering viscous damper to experimentally verify the effectiveness of the proposed use of the instantaneous frequency.Results from the ensuing analysis clearly demonstrate that the instantaneous frequency provides great potential for local control assessment,and the proposed method enables local tracking parameters with good accuracy.

文摘Quantum simulation,as a practical application of noisy quantum computing,has aided the study of exotic quantum matters and the implementation of algorithms that outperform classical approaches.Superconducting qubits,one of the most promising candidates for realizing universal quantum computing,possess state-of-the-art features like easy integration of qubits,long coherence time,and high-fidelity single-and two-qubit gates.These characteristics have enabled applications of digital quantum simulation in the fields of physics,chemistry,and computer science.In this review,we first present the basic concepts of superconducting qubits,quantum gates,and digital quantum simulations.We also explore recent progress in digital quantum simulations using superconducting qubits,especially in relation to quantum chemistry,quantum matters,combinatorial optimization,and quantum machine learning.Finally,we address the current challenges of digital quantum simulation with superconducting qubits,and provide a perspective on the future of the field.

文摘The mechanical properties and failure mechanism of lightweight aggregate concrete(LWAC)is a hot topic in the engineering field,and the relationship between its microstructure and macroscopic mechanical properties is also a frontier research topic in the academic field.In this study,the image processing technology is used to establish a micro-structure model of lightweight aggregate concrete.Through the information extraction and processing of the section image of actual light aggregate concrete specimens,the mesostructural model of light aggregate concrete with real aggregate characteristics is established.The numerical simulation of uniaxial tensile test,uniaxial compression test and three-point bending test of lightweight aggregate concrete are carried out using a new finite element method-the base force element method respectively.Firstly,the image processing technology is used to produce beam specimens,uniaxial compression specimens and uniaxial tensile specimens of light aggregate concrete,which can better simulate the aggregate shape and random distribution of real light aggregate concrete.Secondly,the three-point bending test is numerically simulated.Thirdly,the uniaxial compression specimen generated by image processing technology is numerically simulated.Fourth,the uniaxial tensile specimen generated by image processing technology is numerically simulated.The mechanical behavior and damage mode of the specimen during loading were analyzed.The results of numerical simulation are compared and analyzed with those of relevant experiments.The feasibility and correctness of the micromodel established in this study for analyzing the micromechanics of lightweight aggregate concrete materials are verified.Image processing technology has a broad application prospect in the field of concrete mesoscopic damage analysis.

文摘As the take-off of China’s macro economy,as well as the rapid development of infrastructure construction,real estate industry,and highway logistics transportation industry,the demand for heavy vehicles is increasing rapidly,the competition is becoming increasingly fierce,and the digital transformation of the production line is imminent.As one of themost important components of heavy vehicles,the transmission front andmiddle case assembly lines have a high degree of automation,which can be used as a pilot for the digital transformation of production.To ensure the visualization of digital twins(DT),consistent control logic,and real-time data interaction,this paper proposes an experimental digital twin modeling method for the transmission front and middle case assembly line.Firstly,theDT-based systemarchitecture is designed,and theDT model is created by constructing the visualization model,logic model,and data model of the assembly line.Then,a simulation experiment is carried out in a virtual space to analyze the existing problems in the current assembly line.Eventually,some improvement strategies are proposed and the effectiveness is verified by a new simulation experiment.

文摘Transmitted ultrasonic wave simulation (TUWS) in a digital core is one of the important elements of digital rock physics and is used to study wave propagation in porous cores and calculate equivalent velocity. When simulating wave propagates in a 3D digital core, two additional layers are attached to its two surfaces vertical to the wave-direction and one planar wave source and two receiver-arrays are properly installed. After source excitation, the two receivers then record incident and transmitted waves of the digital rock. Wave propagating velocity, which is the velocity of the digital core, is computed by the picked peak-time difference between the two recorded waves. To evaluate the accuracy of TUWS, a digital core is fully saturated with gas, oil, and water to calculate the corresponding velocities. The velocities increase with decreasing wave frequencies in the simulation frequency band, and this is considered to be the result of scattering. When the pore fluids are varied from gas to oil and finally to water, the velocity-variation characteristics between the different frequencies are similar, thereby approximately following the variation law of velocities obtained from linear elastic statics simulation (LESS), although their absolute values are different. However, LESS has been widely used. The results of this paper show that the transmission ultrasonic simulation has high relative precision.

文摘Natural gas hydrates are crystalline solid complexes with different morphologies found in marine sediments and permafrost zones. The petrophysical properties of gas hydrate-bearing sediments(GHBS) are crucial for understanding the characteristics of gas hydrate reservoirs, the spatial distribution of natural gas hydrates, and their exploitation potential. Geophysical exploration remains the primary approach for investigating the petrophysical properties of GHBS. However, limitations in resolution make it challenging to accurately characterize complex sediment structures, leading to difficulties in precisely interpreting petrophysical properties. Laboratory-based petrophysical experiments provide highly accurate results for petrophysical properties. Despite their accuracy, these experiments are costly, and difficulties in controlling variables may introduce uncertainties into geophysical exploration models.Advances in imaging and simulation techniques have established digital rock technology as an indispensable tool for enhancing petrophysical experimentation. This technology offers a novel microscopic perspective for elucidating the three-dimensional(3D) spatial distribution and multi-physical responses of GHBS. This paper presents an in-depth discussion of digital rock technology as applied to GHBS, with an emphasis on digital rock reconstruction and simulation of petrophysical properties. First, we summarize two common methods for constructing digital rocks of GHBS: petrophysical experimental methods and numerical reconstruction methods, followed by analyses of their respective advantages and limitations. Next, we delve into numerical simulation methods for evaluating GHBS petrophysical properties, including electrical, elastic, and fluid flow characteristics. Finally, we conduct a comprehensive analysis of the current trends in digital rock reconstruction and petrophysical simulation techniques for GHBS, emphasizing the necessity of multi-scale, multi-component, high-resolution 3D digital rock models to facilitate the precise characterization of complex gas hydrate reservoirs. Future applications of microscopic digital rock technology should be integrated with macroscopic geophysical exploration to enable more comprehensive and precise analyses of GHBS petrophysical properties.

文摘This study sheds light on how pore structure characteristics and varying dynamic pressure conditions influence the permeability of tight sandstone reservoirs,with a particular focus on the Paleozoic reservoirs in the Qingshimao Gas Field.Using CT scans of natural core samples,a three-dimensional digital core was constructed.The maximum ball method was applied to extract a related pore network model,and the pore structure characteristics of the core samples,such as pore radius,throat radius,pore volume,and coordination number,were quantitatively evaluated.The analysis revealed a normally distributed pore radius,suggesting a high degree of reservoir homogeneity and favorable conditions for a connected pore system.However,it was found that the majority of throat radii measured less than 1μm,which severely restricted fluid flow and diminished permeability.Over 50%of the pores measured under 100μm^(3),further constraining fluid movement.Additionally,30%-50%of the pore network was composed of isolated and blind-end pores,which significantly impaired formation connectivity and reduced permeability.Based on this,the lattice Boltzmann method(LBM)was used for pore-scale flow simulation to investigate the influence mechanism of pore structure characteristics and dynamic-static parameters such as displacement pressure difference on the permeability performance of the considered tight sandstone reservoirs for various pressure gradients(0.1,1,and 10 MPa).The simulations revealed a strong relationship between pressure differential and both the number of streamlines and flow path tortuosity.When the pressure differential increased to 1 MPa,30 streamlines were observed,with a tortuosity factor of 1.5,indicating the opening of additional seepage channels and the creation of increasingly winding flow paths.

文摘Jacket platforms constitute the foundational infrastructure of offshore oil and gas field exploitation.How to efficiently and accurately monitor the mechanical properties of jacket structures is one of the key problems to be solved to ensure the safe operation of the platform.To address the practical engineering problem that it is difficult to monitor the stress response of the tubular joints of jacket platforms online,a digital twin reduced-order method for real-time prediction of the stress response of tubular joints is proposed.In the offline construction phase,multi-scale modeling and multi-parameter experimental design methods are used to obtain the stress response data set of the jacket structure.Proper orthogonal decomposition is employed to extract the main feature information from the snapshot matrix,resulting in a reduced-order basis.The leave-one-out cross-validation method is used to select the optimal modal order for constructing the reduced-order model(ROM).In the online prediction phase,a digital twin model of the tubular joint is established,and the prediction performance of the ROM is analyzed and verified through using random environmental load and field environmental monitoring data.The results indicate that,compared with traditional numerical simulations of tubular joints,the ROM based on the proposed reduced-order method is more efficient in predicting the stress response of tubular joints while ensuring accuracy and robustness.
文摘Electric vehicle(EV)monitoring systems commonly depend on IoT-based sensormeasurements to track key performance parameters such as vehicle speed,state of charge(SoC),battery temperature,power consumption,motor RPM,and regenerative braking.While these systems enable real-time data acquisition,they are often hindered by sensor noise,communication delays,andmeasurement uncertainties,which compromise their reliability for critical decision-making.To overcome these limitations,this study introduces a comparative framework that integrates reference signals,a digital twin model emulating ideal system behavior,and real-time IoT measurements.The digital twin provides a predictive and noise-resilient representation of EV dynamics,enabling enhanced monitoring accuracy.Six critical parameters are evaluated using root mean square error(RMSE),mean absolute error(MAE),maximum deviation,and correlation coefficient(R^(2)).Results show that the digital twin significantly improves estimation fidelity,with RMSE for speed reduced from 2.5 km/h(IoT)to 1.2 km/h and R^(2) values generally exceeding 0.99,except for regenerative braking which achieved 0.982.These findings demonstrate the framework’s effectiveness in improving operational safety,energy management,and system reliability,offering a robust foundation for future advancements in adaptive calibration,predictive analytics,and fault detection in EV systems.

文摘The development of digital twins for geotechnical structures necessitates the real-time updates of threedimensional(3D)virtual models(e.g.numerical finite element method(FEM)model)to accurately predict time-varying geotechnical responses(e.g.consolidation settlement)in a 3D spatial domain.However,traditional 3D numerical model updating approaches are computationally prohibitive and therefore difficult to update the 3D responses in real time.To address these challenges,this study proposes a novel machine learning framework called sparse dictionary learning(T-3D-SDL)for real-time updating of time-varying 3D geotechnical responses.In T-3D-SDL,a concerned dataset(e.g.time-varying 3D settlement)is approximated as a linear superposition of dictionary atoms generated from 3D random FEM analyses.Field monitoring data are then used to identify non-trivial atoms and estimate their weights within a Bayesian framework for model updating and prediction.The proposed approach enables the real-time update of temporally varying settlements with a high 3D spatial resolution and quantified uncertainty as field monitoring data evolve.The proposed approach is illustrated using an embankment construction project.The results show that the proposed approach effectively improves settlement predictions along temporal and 3D spatial dimensions,with minimal latency(e.g.within minutes),as monitoring data appear.In addition,the proposed approach requires only a reasonably small number of 3D FEM model evaluations,avoids the use of widely adopted yet often criticized surrogate models,and effectively addresses the limitations(e.g.computational inefficiency)of existing 3D model updating approaches.

文摘In recent years,frequent fire disasters have led to enormous damage in China.Effective firefighting rescues can minimize the losses caused by fires.During the rescue processes,the travel time of fire trucks can be severely affected by traffic conditions,changing the effective coverage of fire stations.However,it is still challenging to determine the effective coverage of fire stations considering dynamic traffic conditions.This paper addresses this issue by combining the traveling time calculationmodelwith the effective coverage simulationmodel.In addition,it proposes a new index of total effective coverage area(TECA)based on the time-weighted average of the effective coverage area(ECA)to evaluate the urban fire services.It also selects China as the case study to validate the feasibility of the models,a fire station(FS-JX)in Changsha.FS-JX station and its surrounding 9,117 fire risk points are selected as the fire service supply and demand points,respectively.A total of 196 simulation scenarios throughout a consecutiveweek are analyzed.Eventually,1,933,815 sets of valid sample data are obtained.The results showed that the TECA of FS-JX is 3.27 km^(2),which is far below the standard requirement of 7.00 km^(2) due to the traffic conditions.The visualization results showed that three rivers around FS-JX interrupt the continuity of its effective coverage.The proposed method can provide data support to optimize the locations of fire stations by accurately and dynamically determining the effective coverage of fire stations.
文摘Full scale aircraft static test is a very important process of aircraft design, it is costly and time consuming. The testing accuracy and validity mainly depend on the rationality of the test scheme design. When the aircraft is being tested, the specimen's safety mainly depends on monitoring and understanding the testing data by way of evaluating the coherence with the digital simulation data synchyononsly. The test digital simulation can aid realizing above requirements and improving the test efficiency significantly during test scheme design stage or testing stage respectively. The key technologies and the solving methods of test digital simulation are presented and the application example is given.

文摘Dynamic infrared scene simulation is for discovering and solving the problems encountered in designing, developing and manufacturing infrared imaging guidance weapons. The infrared scene simulation is explored by using the digital grayscale modulation method. The infrared image modulation model of a digital micro-mirror device (DMD) is established and then the infrared scene simulator prototype which is based on DMD grayscale modulation is developed. To evaluate its main parameters such as resolution, contrast, minimum temperature difference, gray scale, various DMD subsystems such as signal decoding, image normalization, synchronization drive, pulse width modulation (PWM) and DMD chips are designed. The infrared scene simulator is tested on a certain infrared missile seeker. The test results show preliminarily that the infrared scene simulator has high gray scale, small geometrical distortion and highly resolvable imaging resolution and contrast and yields high-fidelity images, thus being able to meet the requirements for the infrared scene simulation inside a laboratory.
