Using real-time correction technology for typhoons, this paper discusses real-time correction for forecasting the track of four typhoons during 2009 and 2010 in Japan, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai. It was determined that the short-time forecast effect was better than the original objective mode. By selecting four types of integration schemes after multiple mode path integration for those four objective modes, the forecast effect of the multi-mode path integration is better, on average, than any single model. Moreover, multi-mode ensemble forecasting has obvious advantages during the initial 36 h. 展开更多

This study discusses the challenges in logging the evaluation of low-resistivity oil reservoirs,especially the difficult problems involving their saturation calculation.A correction method for equivalent water conductivity is proposed,given the high conductivity caused by small amounts of water distributed in a network within the low-resistivity reservoir,which mimics the eff ects of high water saturation.This approach signifi cantly improves the accuracy of hydrocarbon saturation calculations in these low-resistivity reservoirs.The corrected hydrocarbon saturation values highly matched the porosity and are consistent with experimental results.This study also establishes a discrimination process to determine whether corrections are required,verifying the eff ectiveness and accuracy of the method through an application example. 展开更多

In real-time hybrid simulation(RTHS), it is difficult if not impossible to completely erase the error in restoring force due to actuator response delay using existing displacement-based compensation methods. This paper proposes a new force correction method based on online discrete tangent stiffness estimation(online DTSE) to provide accurate online estimation of the instantaneous stiffness of the physical substructure. Following the discrete curve parameter recognition theory, the online DTSE method estimates the instantaneous stiffness mainly through adaptively building a fuzzy segment with the latest measurements, constructing several strict bounding lines of the segment and calculating the slope of the strict bounding lines, which significantly improves the calculation efficiency and accuracy for the instantaneous stiffness estimation. The results of both computational simulation and real-time hybrid simulation show that:(1) the online DTSE method has high calculation efficiency, of which the relatively short computation time will not interrupt RTHS; and(2) the online DTSE method provides better estimation for the instantaneous stiffness, compared with other existing estimation methods. Due to the quick and accurate estimation of instantaneous stiffness, the online DTSE method therefore provides a promising technique to correct restoring forces in RTHS. 展开更多

Background:Lipemia,characterized by elevated triglyceride levels in blood samples,is a prevalent preanalytical interferent in clinical hematology.It leads to erroneous measurements of key complete blood count(CBC)parameters,including falsely elevated hemoglobin(Hgb)and platelet(PLT)counts.These inaccuracies can compromise diagnostic reliability and patient management.Objective:This review systematically evaluates existing correction methods for lipemic interference in CBC analysis,comparing their efficacy,limitations,and applicability in clinical settings.Methods:We analyze saline replacement,formula-based correction,instrument-specific algorithms,and emerging technologies,supported by experimental and clinical validation data.Conclusion:An optimized,context-dependent strategy is proposed,integrating multiple correction approaches based on lipemia severity.Future research directions,including artificial intelligence(AI)-enhanced corrections and standardized protocols,are discussed to advance hematology testing accuracy. 展开更多

The development of digital twins for geotechnical structures necessitates the real-time updates of threedimensional(3D)virtual models(e.g.numerical finite element method(FEM)model)to accurately predict time-varying geotechnical responses(e.g.consolidation settlement)in a 3D spatial domain.However,traditional 3D numerical model updating approaches are computationally prohibitive and therefore difficult to update the 3D responses in real time.To address these challenges,this study proposes a novel machine learning framework called sparse dictionary learning(T-3D-SDL)for real-time updating of time-varying 3D geotechnical responses.In T-3D-SDL,a concerned dataset(e.g.time-varying 3D settlement)is approximated as a linear superposition of dictionary atoms generated from 3D random FEM analyses.Field monitoring data are then used to identify non-trivial atoms and estimate their weights within a Bayesian framework for model updating and prediction.The proposed approach enables the real-time update of temporally varying settlements with a high 3D spatial resolution and quantified uncertainty as field monitoring data evolve.The proposed approach is illustrated using an embankment construction project.The results show that the proposed approach effectively improves settlement predictions along temporal and 3D spatial dimensions,with minimal latency(e.g.within minutes),as monitoring data appear.In addition,the proposed approach requires only a reasonably small number of 3D FEM model evaluations,avoids the use of widely adopted yet often criticized surrogate models,and effectively addresses the limitations(e.g.computational inefficiency)of existing 3D model updating approaches. 展开更多

Covert communication can conceal the existence of wireless transmission and thus has the ability to address information security transfer issue in many applications of the booming Internet of Things(IoT).However,the proliferation of sensing devices has generated massive amounts of data,which has increased the burden of covert communication.Considering the spatiotemporal correlation of data collection causing redundancy between data,eliminating duplicate data before transmission is beneficial for shortening transmission time,reducing the average received signal power of warden,and ultimately realizing covert communication.In this paper,we propose to apply delta compression technology in the gateway to reduce the amount of data generated by IoT devices,and then sent it to the cloud server.To this end,a cost model and evaluation method that is closer to the actual storage mode of computer systems is been constructed.Based on which,the delta version sequence obtained by existing delta compression algorithms is no longer compact,manifested by the still high cost.In this situation,we designed the correction scheme based on instructions merging(CSIM)correction to save costs by merging instructions.Firstly,the delta version sequence is divided into five categories and corresponding merge rules were derived.Then,for any COPY/ADD class delta compression algorithm,merge according to strict to relaxed to selection rules while generating instructions.Finally,a more cost-effective delta version sequence can be gained.The experimental results on random data show that the delta version sequences output by the CSIM corrected 1.5-pass and greedy algorithms have better performance in cost reducing. 展开更多

For real-time dynamic substructure testing(RTDST),the influence of the inertia force of fluid specimens on the stability and accuracy of the integration algorithms has never been investigated.Therefore,this study proposes to investigate the stability and accuracy of the central difference method(CDM)for RTDST considering the specimen mass participation coefficient.First,the theory of the CDM for RTDST is presented.Next,the stability and accuracy of the CDM for RTDST considering the specimen mass participation coefficient are investigated.Finally,numerical simulations and experimental tests are conducted for verifying the effectiveness of the method.The study indicates that the stability of the algorithm is affected by the mass participation coefficient of the specimen,and the stability limit first increases and then decreases as the mass participation coefficient increases.In most cases,the mass participation coefficient will increase the stability limit of the algorithm,but in specific circumstances,the algorithm may lose its stability.The stability and accuracy of the CDM considering the mass participation coefficient are verified by numerical simulations and experimental tests on a three-story frame structure with a tuned liquid damper. 展开更多

Firstly, the result of construction monitoring and finished state load test is used to real-time modification of finite element model. Subsequently, an accurate finite element model is established. Secondly, the optimizing the layout of sensor with following orthogonality guarantees orthogonal property and linear independence for the measured data. Lastly, the effectiveness and feasibility of method in the paper is tested by real-time modifying finite element model and optimizing the layout of sensor for Nujiang Bridge. 展开更多

They often disturb the image quality. A dedicated fitting correction method for high-resolution micro-CT is presented. The method converts each elementary X-ray response curve to an average one, and eliminates response inconsistency among pixels. Other factors of the method are discussed, such as the correction factor variability by different sampling frames and nonlinear factors over the whole spectrum. Surface low/distortion is one of the most challenging surface deflections that have a great effect on the exterior appearance of automobiles.Most studies on surface distortion/deflection have focused on evaluation and visualization techniques,the research work on correction or prevention of surface low/distortion is limited,and there is no perfect surface low/distortion corrective method that can satisfy the needs of the engineering.A B-spline based geometry morphing algorithm is proposed and then a new program based on UG-NX platform is developed to modify the die face in the surface low/distortion areas.To verify this developed system,the experimental dies that can replicate the surface low/distortion phenomenon successfully is put to use.Five geometric variables are introduced to describe the basic geometry of typical depression features of automotive outer panels.The experimental dies are then designed to reflect various combinations of these geometric parameters.The stamping experiments are conducted on cold rolled grade 5(CR5) sheet steel and various static measurements,such as oil-stoning,laser scanner,etc,are performed to measure and record the surface low/distortions.Three approaches including good bearing,holds in blank and die face morphing that aim to correct low/distortions are tried out and surface low/distortions are observed in the specimen with reverse draw depth of 10 mm.The measurement results show that die morphing is a practical and effective method to correct the surface low/distortion.The correction method proposed can be used to minimize the occurrence of surface low/distortion in die manufacturing,which has certain reference significance to the correction of surface low/distortion. 展开更多

In this paper, an analogue correction method of errors (ACE) based on a complicated atmospheric model is further developed and applied to numerical weather prediction (NWP). The analysis shows that the ACE can effectively reduce model errors by combining the statistical analogue method with the dynamical model together in order that the information of plenty of historical data is utilized in the current complicated NWP model, Furthermore, in the ACE, the differences of the similarities between different historical analogues and the current initial state are considered as the weights for estimating model errors. The results of daily, decad and monthly prediction experiments on a complicated T63 atmospheric model show that the performance of the ACE by correcting model errors based on the estimation of the errors of 4 historical analogue predictions is not only better than that of the scheme of only introducing the correction of the errors of every single analogue prediction, but is also better than that of the T63 model. 展开更多

A third-order correction was recently suggested to improve the accuracy of the half-power bandwidth method in estimating the damping of single DOF systems.This paper analyzes the accuracy of the half-power bandwidth method with the third-order correction in damping estimation for multi-DOF linear systems.Damping ratios in a two-DOF linear system are estimated using its displacement and acceleration frequency response curves,respectively.A wide range of important parameters that characterize the shape of these response curves are taken into account.Results show that the third-order correction may greatly improve the accuracy of the half-power bandwidth method in estimating damping in a two-DOF system.In spite of this,the half-power bandwidth method may significantly overestimate the damping ratios of two-DOF systems in some cases. 展开更多

Use of Plastic Correction Formula to Improve Accuracy of Welding Residual Stress Test with Blind-Hole Method 被引量:4

The blind-hole method is the most widely used approach to experimentally determine the distribution of residual stress. This paper aims to improve test accuracy of welding residual stress and conducts an experimental study on the strain release factors involved when using the blind-hole method for Q235 and Q345, two steels commonly used in building structures. The ranges of strain release factors A and B in the elastic stage, the effects of strain release factors on residual stress calculated values, and the plastic corrected strain release factors are analyzed considering of the effect of plastic deformation around the blind hole on measurement accuracy. Finally, a simplified calculation formula to determine strain release factors is proposed for use with the blind-hole method. Results show that in the elastic stage, strain release factor A for Q235 and Q345 ranges from-0.399 to-0.525 and strain release factor B from-0.791 to-0.960. Changing the strain release factors A and B shows that calculated residual tensile stress varies in relation to a decrease in both factor values. However, there is a increase in calculated residual compressive stress with a decrease in the strain release factor A value, but there is an decrease with a decrease in strain release factor B value. Calculated residual stress applied to elastic strain release factors is compared with that applied to amended plastic strain release factors for Q235 steel. The maximum deviation between calculated residual stress and test stress is reduced from 21.1 to 1.0%,and for Q345 steel from 26.5 to 1.2%. It is thus evident that the plastic correction formula proposed in this paper can be used in calculations when conducting a residual stress test. 展开更多

The reliability of real-time embedded software directly determines the reliability of the whole real-time embedded sys- tem, and the effective software testing is an important way to ensure software quality and reliability. Based on the analysis of the characteristics of real-time embedded software, the formal method is introduced into the real-time embedded software testing field and the real-time extended finite state machine (RT-EFSM) model is studied firstly. Then, the time zone division method of real-time embedded system is presented and the definition and description methods of time-constrained transition equivalence class (timeCTEC) are presented. Furthermore, the approaches of the testing sequence and test case generation are put forward. Finally, the proposed method is applied to a typical avionics real- time embedded software testing practice and the examples of the timeCTEC, testing sequences and test cases are given. With the analysis of the testing result, the application verification shows that the proposed method can effectively describe the real-time embedded software state transition characteristics and real-time requirements and play the advantages of the formal methods in accuracy, effectiveness and the automation supporting. Combined with the testing platform, the real-time, closed loop and automated simulation testing for real-time embedded software can be realized effectively. 展开更多

Relaxation time spectra (RTS) derived from time domain induced polarization data (TDIP) are helpful to assess oil reservoir pore structures. However, due to the sensitivity to the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), the inversion accuracy of the traditional singular value decomposition (SVD) inversion method reduces with a decrease of SNR. In order to enhance the inversion accuracy and improve robustness of the inversion method to the SNR, an improved inversion method, based on damping factor and spectrum component residual correction, is proposed in this study. The numerical inversion results show that the oscillation of the RTS derived from the SVD method increased with a decrease of SNR, which makes it impossible to get accurate inversion components. However, the SNR has little influence on inversion components of the improved method, and the RTS has high inversion accuracy and robustness. Moreover, RTS derived from core sample data is basically in accord with the pore-size distribution curve, and the RTS derived from the actual induced polarization logging data is smooth and continuous, which indicates that the improved method is practicable. 展开更多

In high-altitude nuclear detonations,the proportion of pulsed X-ray energy can exceed 70%,making it a specific monitoring signal for such events.These pulsed X-rays can be captured using a satellite-borne X-ray detector following atmospheric transmission.To quantitatively analyze the effects of different satellite detection altitudes,burst heights,and transmission angles on the physical processes of X-ray transport and energy fluence,we developed an atmospheric transmission algorithm for pulsed X-rays from high-altitude nuclear detonations based on scattering correction.The proposed method is an improvement over the traditional analytical method that only computes direct-transmission X-rays.The traditional analytical method exhibits a maximum relative error of 67.79% compared with the Monte Carlo method.Our improved method reduces this error to within 10% under the same conditions,even reaching 1% in certain scenarios.Moreover,its computation time is 48,000 times faster than that of the Monte Carlo method.These results have important theoretical significance and engineering application value for designing satellite-borne nuclear detonation pulsed X-ray detectors,inverting nuclear detonation source terms,and assessing ionospheric effects. 展开更多

Fast and Accurate Predictor-Corrector Methods Using Feedback-Accelerated Picard Iteration for Strongly Nonlinear Problems

Although predictor-corrector methods have been extensively applied,they might not meet the requirements of practical applications and engineering tasks,particularly when high accuracy and efficiency are necessary.A novel class of correctors based on feedback-accelerated Picard iteration(FAPI)is proposed to further enhance computational performance.With optimal feedback terms that do not require inversion of matrices,significantly faster convergence speed and higher numerical accuracy are achieved by these correctors compared with their counterparts;however,the computational complexities are comparably low.These advantages enable nonlinear engineering problems to be solved quickly and accurately,even with rough initial guesses from elementary predictors.The proposed method offers flexibility,enabling the use of the generated correctors for either bulk processing of collocation nodes in a domain or successive corrections of a single node in a finite difference approach.In our method,the functional formulas of FAPI are discretized into numerical forms using the collocation approach.These collocated iteration formulas can directly solve nonlinear problems,but they may require significant computational resources because of the manipulation of high-dimensionalmatrices.To address this,the collocated iteration formulas are further converted into finite difference forms,enabling the design of lightweight predictor-corrector algorithms for real-time computation.The generality of the proposed method is illustrated by deriving new correctors for three commonly employed finite-difference approaches:the modified Euler approach,the Adams-Bashforth-Moulton approach,and the implicit Runge-Kutta approach.Subsequently,the updated approaches are tested in solving strongly nonlinear problems,including the Matthieu equation,the Duffing equation,and the low-earth-orbit tracking problem.The numerical findings confirm the computational accuracy and efficiency of the derived predictor-corrector algorithms. 展开更多
