With the increase of surface assembly density and the rapid development of surface mount technology (SMT), electronic products tend to be miniaturized and integrated. The welding quality and welding technology of surface mount components have attracted more and more attention. Reflow processing technology is a comprehensive scientific research. There are many reasons for the welding quality defects of each electronic component. Any material performance change or unreasonable processing parameters may lead to hidden welding quality defects. Therefore, in the specific production process, it is necessary to make in-depth analysis of practical problems and constantly improve the reflow soldering process, so as to improve the reflow soldering quality, ensure the up-to-standard rate of new products and improve the stability of electronic products and commodity quality. 展开更多

Laser directed energy deposition(LDED)is an emerging branch of metal-based additive manufacturing(AM)processes, offering unprecedented capabilities for high-performance fabrication with complex geometries and near-net shapes. This technology is gathering increasing attention from industries such as biomedical, automotive, and aerospace. However, achieving consistent part quality and desired material properties is challenging due to intricate processing parameters and potential process defects such as dynamic melt-pool behavior and localized heat accumulation. This paper reviews recent advances in on-line quality control, focusing on in-situ measurement and closed-loop control for efficient assurance of LDED-fabricated parts. The quality principles, encompassing accuracy and material performance, are summarized to lay a foundation for understanding the mechanisms of quality defects and influencing factors. This review explores and thoroughly compares advancements in indirect process measurements, such as optical, thermal, and acoustic monitoring with direct quality measurements, including laser-line scanning and operando synchrotron X-ray imaging.Depending on the sensing techniques, this paper highlights a hierarchical control strategy for adaptive parameter regulation on intra-layer and inter-layer scales. The requirements and performance of various state-of-the-art controllers are critically compared to indicate their suitable applications. The importance of machine learning in detecting process anomalies and predicting build quality based on sensory signals is also outlined.Future directions are proposed towards adaptive, automated, and intelligent quality control, with a focus on multi-modal monitoring,physics-informed neural networks for interpretable analysis, and multi-objective control applications. 展开更多

Software defect prevention is an important way to reduce the defect introduction rate.As the primary cause of software defects, human error can be the key to understanding and preventing software defects. This paper proposes a defect prevention approach based on human error mechanisms:DPe HE.The approach includes both knowledge and regulation training in human error prevention.Knowledge training provides programmers with explicit knowledge on why programmers commit errors, what kinds of errors tend to be committed under different circumstances, and how these errors can be prevented.Regulation training further helps programmers to promote the awareness and ability to prevent human errors through practice. The practice is facilitated by a problem solving checklist and a root cause identification checklist. This paper provides a systematic framework that integrates knowledge across disciplines,e.g.,cognitive science, software psychology and software engineering to defend against human errors in software development.Furthermore,we applied this approach in an international company at CMM Level 5 and a software development institution at CMM Level 1 in the Chinese Aviation Industry. The application cases show that the approach is feasible and effective in promoting developers' ability to prevent software defects, independent of process maturity levels. 展开更多

The defects in object-oriented models will result in poor quality of applications based on the models, and thus it is necessary to know which defects often occur in practice, to what extent they occur, why they occur, and how they can be prevented. To gain deeper insights into these problems, this paper discusses how to improve the quality of object- oriented models from novice modelers through project prac- tice. This paper summarizes a set of typical quality defect types from a large number of the defects, and confirms them through our project practice. Moreover, the paper analyzes the improvement of the quality of object-oriented models by quantifying the level of occurrence for the defect types in dif- ferent phases of the project practice, and presents preventive measures by analyzing the causes for the defects to occur in object-oriented models in the aspects of syntax, semantics, and pragmatics. 展开更多
