A new ground-motion scaling and record selection procedure for asymmetric-plan buildings using the 2DOF-modal pushover method

Advanced intensity measures(IMs)based on an inelastic deformation spectrum improved the evaluation of the median engineering demand parameters(EDPs)and reduced dispersion.In this regard,an optimized two-degreefreedom(2DOF)modal pushover-based scaling procedure(2DMPS)has been developed for a nonlinear dynamic analysis of asymmetric in-plan buildings.The 2DMPS procedure scales ground motions to approach close enough to a target value of the inelastic displacement of the first-mode inelastic 2DOF modal stick,extended for structures with significant contributions of higher modes.Further,4-,6-and 13-story RC SMRF buildings were selected for analyses using ground motion records scaled by the 2DMPS procedure,the modal pushover-based scaling method(MPS),and ASCE/SEI 7-16 scaling procedures.The median values of EDPs on scaled records closely matched the benchmark results.The bias in the EDP values due to the scaled records in every group regarding their median value was lower than the dispersion of the 21 unscaled records.These results generally demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the 2DMPS method.Additionally,the 2DOF modal stick’s inelastic response spectra are better suited for calculating seismic demands for one-way asymmetric-plan structures than the SDOF inelastic response spectra. 展开更多

We studied this process by using a record process approach under the assumption that the interarrival times T,, = Tn, - Ta-1, n = 1, 2...are exponentially i.i.d (independent and identically distributed). The goal is to test that the first observed events are sporadic events. For testing the hypothesis "sporadic" we used the non-parametric test based on the probability distribution of the statistic of the number of records N, among{Xx }k-1= where Xk = (ΔTk)-1. We showed that it is independent of the cumulative distribution of the observations and that it is exactly calculated for each n. We illustrated this statistic on a simulated trajectory and we compared it with descriptive smoothing methods. We studied an application to a data set as storms in France and US. 展开更多

目的探讨病历示教法在口腔全科住院医师规范化培训(简称住培)住院病历书写教学中的应用效果。方法将2019年9月—2023年9月于南京医科大学第一附属医院口腔科住培的38名住院医师作为研究对象,按照入培时间分为两组,2019年9月—2020年9月... 目的探讨病历示教法在口腔全科住院医师规范化培训(简称住培)住院病历书写教学中的应用效果。方法将2019年9月—2023年9月于南京医科大学第一附属医院口腔科住培的38名住院医师作为研究对象,按照入培时间分为两组,2019年9月—2020年9月入培的14名住院医师为对照组,2021年9月—2023年9月入培的24名住院医师为观察组,分别采用传统教学模式和病历示教法进行教学,比较两组住院医师培训后住院病历书写评分、自我评价情况等。结果培训后,观察组住院病历书写评分高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。自我评价结果显示,观察组在理论知识掌握程度、自主学习能力、临床思维能力、课堂参与度和学习兴趣等方面的评价高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。结论病历示教法有助于提高住院医师住院病历书写水平。 展开更多

三段反馈法提升实习生临床思维能力效果评价

目的探讨基于病历书写的三段反馈法对实习医学生临床思维能力的培养效果。方法采用前瞻性随机对照设计,纳入2023年1月—2024年12月在西安交通大学第二附属医院肾病内科轮转的五年制临床医学专业实习医学生99名,随机分为三段反馈组(n=50... 目的探讨基于病历书写的三段反馈法对实习医学生临床思维能力的培养效果。方法采用前瞻性随机对照设计,纳入2023年1月—2024年12月在西安交通大学第二附属医院肾病内科轮转的五年制临床医学专业实习医学生99名,随机分为三段反馈组(n=50)与传统模式组(n=49)。其中,三段反馈组采用“即时纠错-逻辑追问-示范重构”模式开展病历书写教学,传统模式组则采用病历集中批改模式实施教学。评估阶段分别于入科时、出科时,依据《内科住院病历书写质量评分标准》对两组实习医学生的病历书写质量进行盲法评估。结果出科评估结果在病历书写质量总分方面,三段反馈组(90.02±2.15)显著高于传统模式组(86.22±2.24),差异有统计学意义(P<0.001)。在临床思维相关要素评分方面,三段反馈组在主诉(P<0.001)、体格检查(P=0.001)、病历摘要(P<0.001)、诊断(P<0.001)等关键项目得分亦显著高于传统模式组。结论三段反馈法通过构建“即时纠错-逻辑追问-示范重构”闭环训练体系,能显著提升实习医学生的病历书写质量及临床思维能力。 展开更多

运用张炳厚教授“补肾八法”分期辨治特发性膜性肾病的临证经验

[目的]探讨基于张炳厚教授“补肾八法”理论及孙鲁英教授临证经验所构建的特发性膜性肾病(idiopathic membranous nephropathy,IMN)分期辨治体系,及其在IMN中西医结合治疗中的应用价值。[方法]通过跟师学习、收整医案、查阅文献,总结孙鲁英教授对IMN的病机认识,以及传承创新张炳厚教授“补肾八法”治疗IMN的临证经验,并附医案一则加以验证。[结果]“补肾八法”以补肾填精为核心,兼顾祛邪,并注重五脏协同的整体观,这与IMN患者激素治疗不同阶段的病机特点有相契合之处,孙鲁英教授由此建立以“补肾八法”为核心的分期辨治方案,激素起始足量期以健脾利水为主,出现阴虚火旺证时,转用滋阴降火法;减量期侧重温补脾肾、益气养阴与固摄精微;维持及停药期则强调阴阳双补、化痰祛瘀,并全程注重活血化瘀法的运用。所举医案为难治性IMN患者,经此方案辨证论治后,水肿减轻,肾功能明显改善,尿蛋白定量显著减少,病情趋于稳定。[结论]基于张炳厚教授“补肾八法”理论及孙鲁英教授临证经验所构建的IMN分期辨治体系,可有效改善患者临床症状,减轻激素及免疫抑制剂所致不良反应,体现中西医协同治疗的优势,具有一定的临床推广价值。 展开更多

The FORC diagram can provide more accurate information of the interaction and its variation, but the 5M curves cannot. In Europe, computation of displacement demand for seismic assessment of existing buildings is essentially based on a simplified formulation of the N2 method as prescribed by Eurocode 8(EC8). However, a lack of accuracy of the N2 method in certain conditions has been pointed out by several studies. This paper addresses the assessment of effectiveness of the N2 method in seismic displacement demand determination in non-linear domain. The objective of this work is to investigate the accuracy of the N2 method through comparison with displacement demands computed using non-linear timehistory analysis(NLTHA). Results show that the original N2 method may lead to overestimation or underestimation of displacement demand predictions. This may affect results of mechanical model-based assessment of seismic vulnerability at an urban scale. Hence, the second part of this paper addresses an improvement of the N2 method formula by empirical evaluation of NLTHA results based on EC8 ground-classes. This task is formulated as a mathematical programming problem in which coefficients are obtained by minimizing the overall discrepancy between NLTHA and modified formula results. Various settings of the mathematical programming problem have been solved using a global optimization metaheuristic. An extensive comparison between the original N2 method formulation and optimized formulae highlights benefits of the strategy. 展开更多

Digitizing the Undigitized: Converting Traditional Archaeological Records into Computerized, Three-Dimensional Site Reconstruction

Archaeological excavation involves disintegration, removal, and reassembly of the archaeological record;as such it is considered by many to be an unrepeatable, destructive activity. This perception has contributed to an advancement in archaeological practice, namely, the development of computerized recording systems that digitally record archaeological excavations spatially and volumetrically during fieldwork. This paper is concerned with those archaeological sites where digital field recording has not been done. These sites, recorded by traditional methods, should not be excluded from attempts to restructure the spatial, volumetric, and stratigraphic archaeological data. A thorough methodology for the conversion of traditional records into digitized data is presented, including the detailed procedures required for three-dimensional plotting of recorded data—both the excavated material and the drawn site maps and cross-sections. Finally, the use of these methods is demonstrated on a complex Early to Middle Pleistocene site, illustrating the benefits of digitization and three-dimensional reconstruction in resolving stratigraphic and spatial questions. 展开更多

Point estimation and confidence intervals based on maximum likelihood and the parametric bootstrap methods are proposed for estimating the unknown parameters. A numerical example has been analyzed for illustrative purposes. Comparisons are made between Bayesian and maximum likelihood estimators via Monte Carlo simulation. 展开更多

Although the classical spectral representation method(SRM)has been widely used in the generation of spatially varying ground motions,there are still challenges in efficient simulation of the non-stationary stochastic vector process in practice.The first problem is the inherent limitation and inflexibility of the deterministic time/frequency modulation function.Another difficulty is the estimation of evolutionary power spectral density(EPSD)with quite a few samples.To tackle these problems,the wavelet packet transform(WPT)algorithm is utilized to build a time-varying spectrum of seed recording which describes the energy distribution in the time-frequency domain.The time-varying spectrum is proven to preserve the time and frequency marginal property as theoretical EPSD will do for the stationary process.For the simulation of spatially varying ground motions,the auto-EPSD for all locations is directly estimated using the time-varying spectrum of seed recording rather than matching predefined EPSD models.Then the constructed spectral matrix is incorporated in SRM to simulate spatially varying non-stationary ground motions using efficient Cholesky decomposition techniques.In addition to a good match with the target coherency model,two numerical examples indicate that the generated time histories retain the physical properties of the prescribed seed recording,including waveform,temporal/spectral non-stationarity,normalized energy buildup,and significant duration. 展开更多

Use of Non-uniform Rational B-splines for Discharge Calculation in the Velocity Area Method

The velocity area method belongs to the group of primary methods for discharge measurement in hydropower plants. The measurements require an appropriate application of measuring devices and carrying out correctly the process of data analyzing including integration technique. The authors present their own experiences gathered during many years of utilizing the current meter method for discharge measurement in many hydropower plants. They have developed the special integration techniques using the progressive numerical algorithms. The techniques differ from the recommendations contained in the relevant international standards. The authors' own software for calculating the discharge from the measured local velocity distribution (obtained using current meters) adopts advanced spline functions, the so-called NURBS (non-uniform rational B-splines). Nowadays, this kind of splines is commonly used in modeling of the complex geometrical shapes because of their smoothness. It is assessed that it represents much better quality of interpolation than the classic spline functions (classic cubic spline technique). Particularly, the better properties of the NURBS splines can be observed for velocity profile area characterized by very strong velocity gradients where boundary layers meet the core regions of the flow (mainstream). In the developed software the boundary layer thickness and exponent of von Karman function is calculated in accordance with the ISO 3354 standard. The software has been successfully used during many performance tests of the hydraulic turbines in Poland for several years. Paper presents the results of flow rate measurements for two different flow systems of Kaplan turbines. First case concerns the application of the current meters in a long circular penstock whereas the second one in short rectangular turbine intake. A comparative analysis of three flow calculation procedures applied for these two cases is presented in the paper-(1) the integration procedure according to the ISO 3354 standard; (2) the integration procedure based on the NS (natural splines); and (3) the integration procedure based on the NURBS. The results obtained using these three procedures for the first case (intake via long circular penstock) were compared with the results of discharge measurements conducted using the pressure-time method. 展开更多

目的 探讨平行病历书写教学在医学生非技术性技能培养中的应用效果。方法 选取2023年9月至2024年3月在复旦大学附属闵行医院见习的2020级五年制临床医学专业30名学生作为研究对象,采用随机数字表法分为两组,每组15名。对照组采用传统教... 目的 探讨平行病历书写教学在医学生非技术性技能培养中的应用效果。方法 选取2023年9月至2024年3月在复旦大学附属闵行医院见习的2020级五年制临床医学专业30名学生作为研究对象,采用随机数字表法分为两组,每组15名。对照组采用传统教学方式,试验组在对照组的基础上采用平行病历书写教学。比较两组医学生杰弗逊共情量表评分、临床推理与反思自评量表评分和医学生非技术性技能评分。结果 试验组观点采择、怜悯关怀、换位思考评分及总分均高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。试验组信息系统化、分析问题、寻找真相、反思能力评分及总分均高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。试验组收集信息、分析信息,沟通、团队合作、领导力、决策力,计划和预测未来、突发事件应对评分及总分均高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论 平行病历书写教学可通过促进医学生共情和反思提高其非技术性技能。 展开更多

为有效评价飞机硬着陆这一典型不利飞行状态的安全风险,提出考虑多元耦合交互作用的飞机硬着陆风险综合评价方法。对预处理后的机载快速存取记录器(quick access recorder,QAR)数据开展相关性分析,选取下降率、垂直加速度、攻角等6个飞... 为有效评价飞机硬着陆这一典型不利飞行状态的安全风险,提出考虑多元耦合交互作用的飞机硬着陆风险综合评价方法。对预处理后的机载快速存取记录器(quick access recorder,QAR)数据开展相关性分析,选取下降率、垂直加速度、攻角等6个飞行参数作为硬着陆风险研究因素,通过分析其可视化曲线的数据特征提出着陆风险系数计算方法。采用融合专家主观经验的梯形模糊-决策试验和评价试验法确定耦合权重并对风险系数进行优化,构建正常着陆与硬着陆航段的综合云模型。以20000个航段的飞行数据实现数值分析,证明所提方法将着陆区间QAR数据准确映射至风险评价空间,融入风险权重的方法在硬着陆航段的识别性能上提升显著。 展开更多
