On Decision-Dependent Uncertainties in Power Systems with High-Share Renewables

The continuously increasing renewable energy sources(RES)and demand response(DR)are becoming crucial sources of system flexibility.Consequently,decision-dependent uncertainties(DDUs),inter-changeably referred to as endogenous uncertainties,impose new characteristics on power system dis-patch.The DDUs faced by system operators originate from uncertain dispatchable resources such as RES units or DR,while reserve providers encounter DDUs from the uncertain reserve deployment.Thus,a systematic framework was established in this study to address robust dispatch problems with DDUs.The main contributions are drawn as follows.①The robust characterization of DDUs was unfolded with a dependency decomposition structure.②A generic DDU coping mechanism was manifested as the bilateral matching between uncertainty and flexibility.③The influence of DDU incorporation on the convexity/non-convexity of robust dispatch problems was analyzed.④Generic solution algorithms adaptive for DDUs were proposed.Under this framework,the inherent distinctions and correlations between DDUs and decision-independent uncertainties(DIUs)were revealed,laying a fundamental theoretical foundation for the economic and reliable operation of RES-dominated power systems.Illustrative applications in the source and demand sides are provided to show the significance of considering DDUs and demonstrate the proposed theoretical results. 展开更多

This paper comes up with a concept of synergetic advanced dispatch in order to deal with the ever-increasing uncertainty in power grid: Decision is made with respecting to AGC units and active load on the basis of synergetic unit combination such that active load’s advantages in regulation speed is put to full use in achieving efficient cooperation with renewable energy power. Meanwhile, factoring in allowable frequency variation range during decision-making may help to reduce AGC units’ regulation load and improve power grid's capacity of accommodating renewable energy power. Calculation example analysis suggested that the model and technique presented in this paper is capable of efficient coordination between active loads and renewable energy power, delivering friendly transition with day-ahead dispatch and AVC control. 展开更多

The valuable information contained in these data means a lot for power grid operating management, but at present there is no special method for the management of operating data resource. This paper introduces the operating analysis and data mining system for power grid dispatching. The technique of data warehousing online analytical processing has been used to manage and analysis the great capacity of data. This analysis system is based on the real-time data of the power grid to dig out the potential rule of the power grid operating. This system also provides a research platform for the dispatchers, help to improve the JIT (Just in Time) management of power system. 展开更多

The integral time period represented by the median load point and the heavy and light load point with simplicity and accuracy. A new versatile optimization, the particle swarm optimization based on multi-agent system (MAPSO) is presented. The economic load dispatch (ELD) problem of power system can be solved by the algorithm. By competing and cooperating with the randomly selected neighbors, and adjusting its global searching ability and local exploring ability, this algorithm achieves the goal of high convergence precision and speed. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, this algorithm is tested by three different ELD cases, including 3, 13 and 40 units IEEE cases, and the experiment results are compared with those tested by other intelligent algorithms in the same cases. The compared results show that feasible solutions can be reached effectively, local optima can be avoided and faster solution can be applied with the proposed algorithm, the algorithm for ELD problem is versatile and efficient. 展开更多

The role of power system control center is more critical in maintaining system reliable and security operations. Latest developed information and communication technologies provide a platform to enhance the functions and performance of power system control center. Smart power dispatch concept will be the trend of future control center development. In this paper, we start from the human factors of control center design and propose operation indices to reduce the information presented to the system operator. The operation indices will be the important criteria in situation awareness of a power grid. Past, present, future and capability states of a power grid are also proposed to provide better visions to the operator of system conditions. The basic ideas of operation indices and operation states are discussed in the paper. In the end, the design factors for a power dispatch cockpit are discussed. 展开更多

A rolling generation dispatch model based on ultra-short-term wind power forecast was proposed. In generation dispatch process, the model rolling correct not only the conventional units power output but also the power from wind farm, simultaneously. Second order Markov chain model was utilized to modify wind power prediction error state (WPPES) and update forecast results of wind power over the remaining dispatch periods. The prime-dual affine scaling interior point method was used to solve the proposed model that taken into account the constraints of multi-periods power balance, unit output adjustment, up spinning reserve and down spinning reserve. 展开更多

电网调度自动化系统的稳定运行是保障电力系统安全的核心;对于电网调度自动化系统进行鲁棒性测试,是保障系统面对异常、极端输入下性能良好的前提;对面向电网调度自动化系统鲁棒性的验证用例生成方法进行了综合分析;对电网调度自动化系... 电网调度自动化系统的稳定运行是保障电力系统安全的核心;对于电网调度自动化系统进行鲁棒性测试,是保障系统面对异常、极端输入下性能良好的前提;对面向电网调度自动化系统鲁棒性的验证用例生成方法进行了综合分析;对电网调度自动化系统的特点与测试难点、现存电网调度自动化系统验证用例生成方法进行了分析,发现了现存方法在电网调度自动化系统鲁棒性测试方面的不适用性;研究了面向一般复杂系统鲁棒性测试的验证用例生成的方法框架;对于框架中涉及到的代理模型在不同维度下的拟合精度与速度进行了实验分析,经实验测试发现高斯过程分类模型适合于低维问题;支持向量机模型适合于中高维度问题;对于超过20维的问题,人工神经网络的拟合速度达到支持向量机模型的20倍,并且能达到令人满意的精度;详细分析了将鲁棒性测试验证用例生成框架用于电网调度自动化系统亟待解决的问题和可能存在的技术途径。 展开更多

群智能优化算法是求解电力系统经济调度问题的一种有效方法。然而传统算法具有难以兼顾收敛速度与全局搜索能力的局限。为此,基于粒子群优化与灰狼优化算法,本文提出一种融合两者优点的混合算法,即PGWO算法。在新算法中,通过引入非线性... 群智能优化算法是求解电力系统经济调度问题的一种有效方法。然而传统算法具有难以兼顾收敛速度与全局搜索能力的局限。为此,基于粒子群优化与灰狼优化算法,本文提出一种融合两者优点的混合算法,即PGWO算法。在新算法中,通过引入非线性惯性权重、动态社会影响系数及多样性保持机制,促使PGWO在全局探索与局部开发之间取得动态平衡。在求解电力系统经济调度优化问题时,本文应用PGWO算法并结合二次惩罚函数处理功率平衡及出力约束,提升解的可行性。基于六机组测试系统的仿真实验中,实验结果表明,本文提出的PGWO算法在确保约束满足的前提下,能获得更低的总发电成本与更优的收敛稳定性,可为复杂电力系统经济调度问题提供有效的求解方案。 展开更多

受高比例电力电子设备接入影响,新型电力系统的无功电压稳定问题越发突出,然而绝大多数考虑无功电压的调度模型无法避免近似误差,其最优解难以满足交流潮流方程。为了得到同时满足交流潮流方程与可行性约束的交流可行解,该文提出一种通... 受高比例电力电子设备接入影响,新型电力系统的无功电压稳定问题越发突出,然而绝大多数考虑无功电压的调度模型无法避免近似误差,其最优解难以满足交流潮流方程。为了得到同时满足交流潮流方程与可行性约束的交流可行解,该文提出一种通用的交流可行解恢复算法,能够基于已知的调度解,通过对其机组有功出力、无功出力等变量的微小调整得到一个距离调度解最近的交流可行解。对于不含无功电压的直流调度解,该算法通过建立交流潮流恢复模型,得到最佳匹配的交流状态变量后进行潮流计算,使其重新满足交流潮流方程;对于不满足可行性约束的交流潮流,该算法通过建立可行性约束恢复模型,使其重新满足可行性约束。最后,基于IEEE-30和IEEE-118系统进行全年8760 h的运行模拟算例分析,证明所提算法的有效性。 展开更多
