Liver failure(LF)is prevalent in China and is characterized by complex path-ogenesis,challenging clinical management,poor prognosis,and rising incidence and mortality rates.The immune status is an important factor aff...Liver failure(LF)is prevalent in China and is characterized by complex path-ogenesis,challenging clinical management,poor prognosis,and rising incidence and mortality rates.The immune status is an important factor affecting LF prognosis.Interleukins(Ils)are a type of cytokine that act and interact with multiple cells,including immune cells.These signaling molecules play important roles in intercellular information transmission,including the regulation of immune cells;mediation of the activation,proliferation,and differentiation of T and B cells;and orchestration of the inflammatory response.To date,many studies have explored the correlation between IL expression and liver disease prognosis,but few studies have evaluated Ils as the prognostic biomarkers of LF.This article reviews the potential use of Ils as the prognostic biomarkers of LF.Particularly,it evaluates the predictive values of IL-21,IL-22,and IL-31,the three often overlooked yet promising prognostic biomarkers,in predicting suscept-ibility to LF.Harnessing biomarkers for early prognostic insights can facilitate tailored treatment strategies and enhance patient survival.Thus,this article focuses on the identification of IL-21,IL-22,and IL-33 as biomarkers in preclinical and clinical studies on LF and reviews their role as biomarkers in the pathogenesis and diagnosis of LF.展开更多
BACKGROUND: The wave form, latency and wave amplitude of visual evoked potentials (VEP) are obviously affected by the stimulative parameters, physiological status of the subjects and anesthetics, thus there are greate...BACKGROUND: The wave form, latency and wave amplitude of visual evoked potentials (VEP) are obviously affected by the stimulative parameters, physiological status of the subjects and anesthetics, thus there are greater normal variations and individual differences. The features of flash VEP (F-VEP) are to be observed. OBJECTIVE: To observe and compare the differences of F-VEP latencies and wave amplitudes between eyes in rabbits, and investigate the correlation with sex and the side of eyes. DESIGN: A comparative animal experiment. SETTING: Department of Neurosurgery, General Hospital of Chinese PLA. MATERIALS: The experiment was carried out in the neurophysiological laboratory of the Institute of Neurosciences, General Hospital of Chinese PLA from September 2004 to February 2005. Thirty big-ear rabbits of clean degree, 15 males and 15 females, weighing 2.0-2.5 kg, were provided by the animal center of the General Hospital of Chinese PLA. METHODS: Viking-IV perioperative monitor and flash stimulator for special use were applied. The rabbits were anesthetized with intramuscular injection of compound ketamine. The recording electrode was placed at 3 mm anterior to exoccipital tuberosity (onion, Oz), and the reference electrode was placed at the ear edge of the same side. The stimulative frequency was 1.9 Hz, and the amplifier was 50 μV; The range of wave filter was 5 Hz for high pass and 100 Hz for low pass; The average overlapping was 200 times, and the analytical time was 250 ms. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Comparison of F-VEP wave forms; F-VEP latencies and wave amplitudes. RESULTS: All the 30 rabbits were involved in the analysis of results. ① Comparison of F-VEP wave forms in rabbits: The F-VEP waves mainly manifested as positive-negative-positive (PNP). The F-VEP manifestations to light stimulations were extremely similar between left and right eyes, and the wave amplitudes of both eyes were obviously increased. ② Determinations of F-VEP latencies and wave amplitudes: There were no significant differences in the latencies and wave amplitudes of F-VEP between the two groups (P > 0.05), the latencies of P1, N1 and P2 waves of left eye were (32.59±2.01), (43.85±4.35) and (66.20±8.13) ms, respectively, and the wave amplitudes of P1, N1 and P2 waves of left eye were (16.45±10.22), (7.93±3.56) and (17.62±8.18) μV. F-VEP latencies were stable with small changes, whereas amplitudes had greater changes. CONCLUSION: ① The latency and wave amplitudes F-VEP were stable with good repetition. ② The latencies and wave amplitudes had no significant differences between males and females, as well as between left and right eyes. Further investigation should be undertaken on the animal and clinical field.展开更多

This study examines the impact of the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI)on China's export potential at the product level.Using country–product-level data from the Centre d'Etudes Prospectives d'Informations In...This study examines the impact of the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI)on China's export potential at the product level.Using country–product-level data from the Centre d'Etudes Prospectives d'Informations Internationales-Base pour l'Analyse du Commerce International(CEPII-BACI),which includes 5,049 product types across 196 economies from 2007 to 2022,it explores the trade effects of the BRI and its mechanisms from the perspective of global value chains.The results indicate that the BRI has increased China's product export potential significantly to participating countires.The BRI has had the greatest impact on capital goods and labor-and capital-intensive industries.The effect has been most pronounced in China's exports to Southeast Asia,South Asia,and Europe.The mechanism analysis reveals that the BRI has improved the division of labor in the global value chains for participating countries along the BRI,strengthened China's position in their output supply chains,and stimulated the growth of China's exports.展开更多

Therefore, a variety of peptide analogs have been produced and are widely used in clinical treatment. However, because of their flaws in the structure of peptide, the clinical efficacy is limited. In this review, we summarize the structure, pharmacological effects and the potential clinical value of non-peptide SST analogs. We focus on the research and development of non-peptide SST analogs since 1998, and discuss the problems and potential prospects for non-peptide SST analogs. We believe that as more non-peptide somatostatin analogs are successfully developed, the extensive clinical application of SSTs will contribute a great deal to medical science.展开更多

Lead-free ceramic capacitors have the application prospect in the dielectric pulse power system due to the advantages of large dielectric constant,lower dielectric loss and good temperature stability.Never-theless,mos...Lead-free ceramic capacitors have the application prospect in the dielectric pulse power system due to the advantages of large dielectric constant,lower dielectric loss and good temperature stability.Never-theless,most reported dielectric ceramics have limitation of realizing large energy storage density(W_(rec))and high energy storage efficiency(h)simultaneously due to the low breakdown electric field(E_(b)),low maximum polarization and large remanent polarization(P_(r)).These issues above can be settled by raising the bulk resistivity of dielectric ceramics and optimizing domain structure.Therefore,we designed a new system by doping(Bi_(0.5)Na_(0.5))_(0.7)Sr_(0.3)TiO_(3) into 0.9NaNbO_(3)-0.1Bi(Ni_(0.5)Zr_(0.5))O_(3) ceramics,which simulta-neously obtained a higher bulk resistivity by decreasing the grain size and achieved a smaller P_(r) by optimizing domain structure,thus the better E_(b) of 530 kV/cm and W_(rec) of 6.43 J/cm^(3) were achieved,h was improved from 34%to 82%.Besides,the 0.4BNST ceramics show excellent temperature,frequency and fatigue stability under the conditions of 20-180℃,1-100 Hz and 104 cycles,respectively.Mean-while,superior power density(P_(D)=107 MW/cm^(3)),large current density(C_(D)=1070 A/cm^(2))and discharge speed(1.025 m s)were achieved in 0.4BNST ceramic.Finally,the charge-discharge performance displayed good temperature stability in the temperature range of 30℃-180℃.The above results indicated that the ceramics have potential practical value in the field of energy storage capacitor.展开更多
