By using modern deposition analogy, field outcrop analysis, a dense well spacing, core observations and a review of the literature, this paper studied the formation process and space–time amalgamation of abandoned channels in meandering river. The results reveal that formation mechanisms of abandoned channels include chute cutoff patterns(shoal-cutting, ditch-scouring and embayment-eroding patterns) and neck cutoff patterns. The chute cutoff pattern forms a gradually abandoned channel, while the neck cutoff pattern forms a suddenly abandoned channel. From upstream to downstream, the sedimentary pattern of the abandoned channel transforms from a chute cutoff pattern to a neck cutoff pattern, where the main controlling factors transition from the grain size and gradient to the flow and vegetation. An abandoned channel formed by a chute cutoff pattern consists mainly of siltstone, fine sandstone and thin gravel layers, which form a lithological-physical barrier. The abandoned channel formed by a neck cutoff pattern consists mainly of mudstone and argillaceous siltstone, forming a lithological barrier. Based on the amalgamation and structure of the reservoir architectural elements, the abandoned channel can be divided into three planar sedimentary patterns(crescent, semilune and horseshoe) for a single channel and five vertical sedimentary patterns for composite channels.展开更多

The fluid flow in the microfluidic channel produced a shear flow field at low Reynolds numbers. The droplets in the microfluidic system exhibited special droplet pattern formations similar to periodic crystal-like lattices because of the competition between shear forces and surface tension. By adjusting the flow rate ratio of the water (droplet phase) to oil (continuous phase) phases and changing the outlet channel widths, the droplets formed monolayer dispersion to double-layer formation to monolayer squeezing when the outlet channel widths were 250 or 300 μm. We also obtained droplets with monolayer dispersion, three-layer arrangements, double-layer squeezing, and monolayer squeezing when the outlet channel width was 350 μm. The outlet channel width was increased to 400 μm, and four-layer arrangements were observed. We also studied the translation of droplet formation, which resulted in a detailed strategy to control drop size and droplet pattern formation for emulsi cation in microfluidic devices. We expect that our strategy can provide theoretical guidance to synthesize dispersion or polydisperse colloid particles.展开更多

The first is a regression-based variational systemidentification procedure that is advantageous in not requiring repeated forward model solves andhas good scalability to large number of differential operators. However it has strict data typerequirements needing the ability to directly represent the operators through the available data. The second is a Bayesian inference framework highly valuable for providing uncertaintyquantification, and flexible for accommodating sparse and noisy data that may also be indirectquantities of interest. However, it also requires repeated forward solutions of the PDE modelswhich is expensive and hinders scalability. We provide illustrations of results on a model problemfor pattern formation dynamics, and discuss merits of the presented methods.展开更多

At last, this paper presents several points that need to be paid attention to in the future studies on object-oriented RS in- formation classification pattern: 1) developing robust and highly effective image segmentation algorithm for multi-spectral RS imagery; 2) improving the feature-set including edge, spatial-adjacent and temporal characteristics; 3) discussing the classification rule generation classifier based on the decision tree; 4) presenting evaluation methods for classification result by object-oriented classification pattern.

文摘Accurately identifying and quantitatively describing abandoned channels in meandering rivers are of great significance for improving hydrocarbon recovery. Based on the amalgamation and structure of the reservoir architectural elements, the abandoned channel can be divided into three planar sedimentary patterns(crescent, semilune and horseshoe) for a single channel and five vertical sedimentary patterns for composite channels.

文摘We conducted experiments on specially designed microfluidic chips that generate droplets through a microfluidic ow-focusing approach. We expect that our strategy can provide theoretical guidance to synthesize dispersion or polydisperse colloid particles.

文摘In order to determine the planar and volume distribution of sand bodies of the Jurassic Badaowan formation in Block T13 of Junggar basin,we used analysis of field outcrop and 3D seismic data, which play an essential role in areas of sparse well coverage. We describe sedimentary facies characteristics, sand body planforms, width and connectivity patterns of sand bodies, and vertical associations and successions by acoustic impedance inversion technology and sedimentological theory. Results of our study show braided fluvial strata deposits in the Jurassic Badaowan formation. Each sand body is approximately lenticular in shape. The width of each sand body falls in the range 100~800 m,with most between 200 and 400 m.The sand bodies vary in thickness from 4 to 13 m,with most below 9 m.The width/thickness ratios lie in the range 20~55.The connectivity of braided fluvial channel sand bodies is controlled by changes of accommodation space. One fining-upward sedimentary cycle of base-level rise is recognized in Badaowan formation, representing an upward rise of base level. The connectivity of sand bodies was found to be greatest in the early stage of base-level rise, becoming progressively worse with increasing base-level rise.

文摘We present two approaches to system identification, i.e. the identification of partial differentialequations (PDEs) from measurement data. We provide illustrations of results on a model problemfor pattern formation dynamics, and discuss merits of the presented methods.

文摘The Chang 73 sub-member of Triassic Yanchang Formation in the Ordos Basin was taken as an example and the lamina types and combinations, reservoir space features and shale oil enrichment patterns in organic-rich shale strata were investigated using core observation, thin section analysis,XRF element measurement,XRD analysis,SEM,high solution laser Raman spectroscopy analysis, and micro-FTIR spectroscopy analysis, etc.According to the mineral composition and thickness of the laminae, the Chang 73 organic-rich shales have four major types of laminae,tuff-rich lamina,organic-rich lamina,silt-grade feldspar-quartz lamina and clay lamina. They have two kinds of shale oil-bearing layers,"organic-rich lamina+silt-grade feldspar-quartz lamina"and"organic-rich lamina+tuff-rich lamina"layers. In the"organic-rich+silt-grade feldspar-quartz"laminae combination shale strata, oil was characterized by relative high maturation, and always filled in K-feldspar dissolution pores in the silt-grade feldspar-quartz laminae, forming oil generation, migration and accumulation process between laminae inside the organic shales. In the"organic-rich+tuff-rich lamina"binary laminae combination shale strata, however, the reservoir properties were poor in organic-rich shales, the oil maturation was relatively lower, and mainly accumulated in the intergranular pores of interbedded thin-layered sandstones. The oil generation, migration and accumulation mainly occurred between organic-rich shales and interbedded thin-layered sandstones.

文摘The shale of the Cambrian Qiongzhusi Formation in the Sichuan Basin is characterized by large burial depth and high maturity, but the shale gas enrichment pattern is still unclear.Based on the detailed characterization of Deyang-Anyue aulacogen, analysis of its depositional environments, together with reconstruction of shale gas generation and enrichment evolution against the background of the Leshan-Longnüsi paleouplift, the aulacogen-uplift enrichment pattern was elucidated. It is revealed that the Deyang-Anyue aulacogen controls the depositional environment of the Qiongzhusi Formation, where high-quality sedimentary facies and thick strata are observed.Meanwhile, the Leshan-Longnüsi paleouplift controls the maturity evolution of the shale in the Qiongzhusi Formation, with the uplift located in a high position and exhibiting a moderate degree of thermal evolution and a high resistivity. The aulacogen-uplift overlap area is conducive to the enrichment of shale gas during the deposition, oil generation, gas generation, and oil-gas adjustment stage, which also has a joint control on the development of reservoirs, resulting in multiple reservoirs of high quality and large thickness.Based on the aulacogen-uplift enrichment pattern and combination, four types of shale gas play are identified, and the sweet spot evaluation criteria for the Qiongzhusi Formation is established.Accordingly,a sweet spot area of 8200 km^(2)in the aulacogen is determined, successfully guiding the deployment of Well Zi 201 with a high-yield industrial gas flow of 73.88×10^(4) m^(3)/d.The new geological insights on the aulacogen-uplift enrichment pattern provide a significant theoretical basis for the exploration and breakthrough of deep to ultra-deep Cambrian shale gas, highlighting the promising exploration prospect in this domain.

文摘The genetic regulation of hair density in animals remains poorly understood. The Dazu black goat, characterized by its black coarse hair and white skin, provides a unique model for dissecting coarse hair density(CHD).Using high-resolution micro-camera imaging, this study analyzed 905 skin images,33 skin transcriptomes,272 whole-genome sequences, and 182 downloaded transcriptomes.Morphological assessment from juvenile to adult stages revealed the thickening of hair shafts accompanied by a progressive decline in density, largely attributable to rapid surface expansion of the trunk skin.Transcriptomic comparison between high-and low-CHD individuals identified 572 differentially expressed genes(DEGs).A genome-wide association study detected 25 significant single nucleotide polymorphisms(P<9.07e-8)and mapped 48 annotated genes, with the most prominent association signal located near GJA1 on chr9.15931585-18621011.Literature review and Venn analysis highlighted six genes(GJA1,GPRC5D,CD1D,CD207,TFAM,and CXCL12)with documented roles in skin and hair biology, and three genes(GJA1,GPRC5D,and ATP6V1B1)overlapped with DEGs.Multiple-tissue transcriptomic profiling, western blotting, immunohistochemical staining, and skin single-cell RNA sequencing confirmed that GJA1 and GPRC5D were highly and specifically expressed in skin, particularly within hair follicles.Expression was localized predominantly to follicular stem cells and dermal papilla cells, suggesting a significant role in folliculogenesis and structural maintenance.Cross-validation using four public datasets further demonstrated positive correlations between GJA1 and GPRC5D expression and hair follicle density. The innovative micro-camera application allowed the elucidation of spatiotemporal patterns and genes associated with CHD,thereby addressing a significant knowledge gap in animal hair density.

文摘The faults and associated fracture zones in the tight sandstone reservoirs of the fifth member of the Triassic Xujiahe Formation(Xu-5 Member)in the Wubaochang area, northeastern Sichuan Basin, play a critical role in controlling gas well productivity. To delineate the distribution patterns of the faults and associated fracture zones in this area,a transfer-trained convolutional neural network(CNN)model and an XGBoost(eXtreme Gradient Boosting)-based intelligent seismic attribute fusion method were employed to identify faults and fracture zones, respectively, enabling precise characterization of their spatial distribution. The faults in the Wubaochang area are classified into first-to fourth-order structures, with the average fracture zone width on the hanging wall exceeding that of the footwall, demonstrating a strong positive correlation between fracture zone width and fault displacement. The study area is divided into three distinct deformation regions(southern, central and northern regions)featuring five fault structural styles(duplex,duplex-backthrust,imbricate thrust, synclinorium imbricate-backthrust,and anticlinorium imbricate-backthrust)and four corresponding fracture zone development patterns(duplex,duplex-backthrust,synclinorium imbricate-backthrust,and anticlinorium imbricate-backthrust).Based on the controlling effects of faults on gas enrichment, the dual-source hydrocarbon-supply zones are interpreted to be distributed in the northern and central regions, while the southern region is identified as gas-escape zones.By integrating the distribution of favorable reservoir development areas and fracture zones, two classes of gas enrichment zones(Class Ⅰ and Ⅱ)are delineated.Class Ⅰ zones are primarily distributed in the northern region and the transitional zone from the southern to central regions, whereas Class Ⅱ zones are concentrated in the central region.Class Ⅰ zones exhibit dual-source hydrocarbon-supply conditions,larger-scale fracture zone development, and higher favorability compared to Class Ⅱ zones.According to the defined gas accumulation effectiveness in different types of fracture zones,a high-productivity gas well model for the Wubaochang area is proposed,emphasizing“dual-source faults controlling enrichment, effective fracture zones controlling high production, and high matrix porosity ensuring sustained production”.Targeted drilling directions for different favorable zones are further optimized based on this model.

文摘This paper presents a theoretical analysis of evolutionary process that involves organisms distribution and their interaction of spatially distributed population with diffusion in a Holling-III ratio-dependent predator-prey model, the sufficient conditions for diffusion-driven instability with Neumann boundary conditions are obtained. Furthermore, it presents novel numerical evidence of time evolution of patterns controlled by diffusion in the model, and finds that the model dynamics exhibits complex pattern replication, and the pattern formation depends on the choice of the initial conditions. The ideas in this paper may provide a better understanding of the pattern formation in ecosystems.

文摘Positional information encoded in spatial concentration patterns is crucial for the development of multicellular organisms. However,it is still unclear how such information is affected by the physically dissipative diffusion process. Here we study one-dimensional patterning systems with analytical derivation and numerical simulations. We find that the diffusion constant of the patterning molecules exhibits a nonmonotonic effect on the readout of the positional information from the concentration patterns.Specifically, there exists an optimal diffusion constant that maximizes the positional information. Moreover,we find that the energy dissipation due to the physical diffusion imposes a fundamental upper limit on the positional information.
