Efficient identification of photovoltaic cell parameters via Bayesian neural network-artificial ecosystem optimization algorithm

Accurate identification of unknown internal parameters in photovoltaic(PV)cells is crucial and significantly affects the subsequent system-performance analysis and control.However,noise,insufficient data acquisition,and loss of recorded data can deteriorate the extraction accuracy of unknown parameters.Hence,this study proposes an intelligent parameter-identification strategy that integrates artificial ecosystem optimization(AEO)and a Bayesian neural network(BNN)for PV cell parameter extraction.A BNN is used for data preprocessing,including data denoising and prediction.Furthermore,the AEO algorithm is utilized to identify unknown parameters in the single-diode model(SDM),double-diode model(DDM),and three-diode model(TDM).Nine other metaheuristic algorithms(MhAs)are adopted for an unbiased and comprehensive validation.Simulation results show that BNN-based data preprocessing com-bined with effective MhAs significantly improve the parameter-extraction accuracy and stability compared with methods without data preprocessing.For instance,under denoised data,the accuracies of the SDM,DDM,and TDM increase by 99.69%,99.70%,and 99.69%,respectively,whereas their accuracy improvements increase by 66.71%,59.65%,and 70.36%,respectively. 展开更多

In light of the high nonlinearity of LuGre friction model, a novel method based on ant colony algorithm(ACA) for identifying the friction parameters of flight simulation servo system is proposed. ACA is a parallelized bionic optimization algorithm inspired from the behavior of real ants, and a kind of positive feedback mechanism is adopted in ACA. On the basis of brief introduction of LuGre friction model, a method for identifying the static LuGre friction parameters and the dynamic LuGre friction parameters using ACA is derived. Finally, this new friction parameter identification scheme is applied to a electric-driven flight simulation servo system with high precision. Simulation and application results verify the feasibility and the effectiveness of the scheme. It provides a new way to identify the friction parameters of LuGre model. 展开更多

To analyze a multibody system composed of non-uniform beam and spring-mass subsystems, the model discretization is carried on by utilizing the finite element method(FEM), the dynamic model of non-uniform beam is developed by using the transfer matrix method of multibody system(MS-TMM), the transfer matrix of non-u- niform beam is derived, and the natural frequencies are computed. Compared with the numerical assembly method (NAM), the results by MS-TMM have good agreement with the results by FEM, and are better than the results by NAM. When using the high precision method, the global dynamic equations of the complex multibody system are not needed and the orders of involved system matrices are decreased greatly. For the investigation on the re- verse problem of the physical parameter identification of multibody system, MS-TMM and the optimization tech- nology based on genetic algorithms(GAs) are combined and extended. The identification problem is exchanged for an optimization problem, and it is formulated as a global minimum solution of the objective function with respect to natural frequencies of multibody system. At last, the numerical example of non-uniform beam with attach- ments is discussed, and the identification results indicate the feasibility and the effectivity of the proposed aop- proach. 展开更多

An identification model for weak influence parameters of nuclear power unit based on parameter recursion

In complex systems,there is a kind of parameters having only a minor impact on the outputs in most cases,but their accurate values are still critical for the operation of systems.In this paper,the authors focus on the identification of these weak influence parameters in the complex systems and propose a identification model based on the parameter recursion.As an application,three parameters of the steam generator are identified,that is,the valve opening,the valve CV value,and the reference water level,in which the valve opening and the reference water level are weak influence parameters under most operating conditions.Numerical simulation results show that,in comparison with the multi-layer perceptron(MLP),the identification error rate is decreased.Actually,the average identification error rate for the valve opening decreases by 0.96%,for the valve CV decreases by 0.002%,and for the reference water level decreases by 12%after one recursion.After two recursions,the average identification error rate for the valve opening decreases by 11.07%,for the valve CV decreases by 2.601%,and for the reference water level decreases by 95.79%.This method can help to improve the control of the steam generator. 展开更多

To achieve the manufacturing of Thin-Wall and High-Rib Components(TWHRC)with high precision,a novel heavy load Multi-DOF Envelope Forming Press(MEFP)with Parallel Kinematic Mechanism(PKM),driven by six Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors(PMSMs),is developed.However,on account of the heavy forming load,the PMSM parameters are in great variation.Meanwhile,the PMSM is always in a transient state caused by fast time-varying forming load,resulting in low identification precision of varied PMSM parameters and control precision of PMSM under traditional parameter identification methods.To solve this problem,a novel Sliding Mode Control Method with Enhanced PMSM Parameter Identification(SMCMEPPI)for heavy load MEFP is proposed.Firstly,the kinematic model of MEFP is established.Secondly,the variation law of PMSM parameters under heavy load is revealed.Thirdly,an enhanced PMSM parameter identification method is proposed,in which the q axis current of PMSM is used to represent the changing rate of forming load and the adjustment factor is first proposed to remove improper input of PMSM parameter identification online.Fourthly,the Electromechanical Coupling Dynamic Model(ECDM)of MEFP,which includes identified PMSM parameters,is developed.Finally,based on the developed ECDM,a novel SMCMEPPI is proposed to realize the high-precision control of heavy load MEFP.The experimental results indicate that the proposed SMCMEPPI can significantly improve the control precision of heavy load MEFP. 展开更多

In order to better identify the parameters of the fractional-order system,a modified particle swarm optimization(MPSO)algorithm based on an improved Tent mapping is proposed.The MPSO algorithm is validated with eight classical test functions,and compared with the POS algorithm with adaptive time varying accelerators(ACPSO),the genetic algorithm(GA),a d the improved PSO algorithm with passive congregation(IPSO).Based on the systems with known model structures a d unknown model structures,the proposed algorithm is adopted to identify two typical fractional-order models.The results of parameter identification show that the application of average value of position information is beneficial to making f 11 use of the information exchange among individuals and speeds up the global searching speed.By introducing the uniformity and ergodicity of Tent mapping,the MPSO avoids the extreme v^ue of position information,so as not to fall into the local optimal value.In brief the MPSOalgorithm is an effective a d useful method with a fast convergence rate and high accuracy. 展开更多

Nuclear power plants(NPP)contain plenty of valve piping systems(VPS’s)which are categorized into high anti-seismic grades.Tasks such as seismic qualification,health monitoring and damage diagnosis of VPS’s in its design and operation processes all depend on finite element method.However,in engineering practice,there is always deviations between the theoretical and the measured responses due to the inaccurate value of the structural parameters in the model.The structure parameters identification of VPS within NPP is still an unexplored domain to a large extent.In this paper,the initial 2D-finite element model(FEM)for VPS with a DN80 gate valve was updated by utilizing seismic response.The objective function used in the model updating procedure is the vibration control equation error of the VPS.The experimental results show that the updated 2D-FEM can accurately predict the original dynamic characteristic of the VPS.It was also found the Rayleigh damping coefficients corresponding to the VPS vary slightly with the change in seismic excitation amplitude.The research displayed the complete procedure of updating the complex structured initial FEM by utilizing seismic response,and the results show that the parameters can be accurately identified even if the seismic response used for updating merely contained the fundamental frequency information of the structure. 展开更多

A dynamic frequency-based parameter identification approach is applied for the nonlinear system with periodic responses.Starting from the energy equation,the presented method uses a dynamic frequency to precisely obtain the analytical limit cycle expression of nonlinear system and utilizes it as the mathematic foundation for parameter identification.Distinguished from the time-domain approaches,the strategy of using limit cycle to describe the system response is unaffected by the influence of phase change.The analytical expression is fitted with the value sets from phase coordinates measured in periodic oscillation of the nonlinear systems,and the unknown parameters are identified with the interior-reflective Newton method.Then the performance of this identification methodology is verified by an oscillator with nonlinear stiffness and damping.Besides,numerical simulations under noisy environment also verify the efficiency and robustness of the identification procedure.Finally,we apply this parameter identification method to the modeling of a large-amplitude energy harvester,to improve the accuracy of mechanical modeling.Not surprisingly,good agreement is achieved between the experimental data and identified parameters.It also verifies that the proposed approach is less time-consuming and more accuracy in identification procedure. 展开更多

The design procedure is presented in detail by constructing a specific Lyapunov function and linearizing the model function with nonlinear parameterization. The obtained result can be directly extended to the identification problem of linearly parameterized dynamical systems. In this paper,a time–frequency algorithm based on adaptive chirplet transform for parameter modeling and identification of Linear Time-Varying(LTV)systems under random excitation is presented.It is assumed that the solution of responses of LTV structures is expressed as the sum of multicomponent Linear Frequency Modulated(LFM)signals in a short-time.Then the measured acceleration response is used to perform the adaptive chirplet transform,in which an integral algorithm is employed to reconstruct the velocity and displacement responses.The vibration differential equation with time-varying coefficients is transformed into a simple linear equation.Furthermore,for systems under random excitation,the input–output relation based on correlation function is also derived to estimate the parameters including physicals parameters and instantaneous modal parameters.The full procedure of the method is presented and validated by using simulated responses.The results show that the presented method is accurate and robust for various LTV systems under random excitation. 展开更多
