In this paper, we present a nonorthogonal overlapping Yee method for solv- ing Maxwell's equations using the diagonal split-cell model. When material interface is presented, the diagonal split-cell model does not require permittivity averaging so that better accuracy can be achieved. Our numerical results on optical force computation show that the standard FDTD method converges linearly, while the proposed method achieves quadratic convergence and better accuracy. 展开更多

Modeling seismic wave propagation in heterogeneous medium using overlap domain pseudospectral method 被引量:9

Pseudospectral method is an efficient and high accuracy numerical method for simulating seismic wave propaga- tion in heterogeneous earth medium. Since its derivative operator is global, this method is commonly considered not suitable for parallel computation. In this paper, we introduce the parallel overlap domain decomposition scheme and give a parallel pseudospectral method implemented on distributed memory PC cluster system for modeling seismic wave propagation in heterogeneous medium. In this parallel method, the medium is decomposed into several subdomains and the wave equations are solved in each subdomain simultaneously. The solutions in each subdomain are connected through the transferring at the overlapped region. Using 2D models, we compared the parallel and traditional pseudospectral method, analyzed the accuracy of the parallel method. The results show that the parallel method can efficiently reduce computation time for the same accuracy as the traditional method. This method could be applied to large scale modeling of seismic wave propagation in 3D heterogeneous medium. 展开更多

A bilogarithmic hyperbolic cosine method for the evaluation of overlapping formation constants at varying (or fixed) ionic strength is devised in this paper and applied to data reported in the analytical literature, i.e. succinic acid system, Cu(II)-glycine system and Ag(I)-aminobutan-1-ol system. The method is based on the linearization of the formation function ? = f(pH) or ? = f(pL) data. A theoretical slope of unity should be obtained thus proving the correctness of the assumed equilibria. An additional advantage of the bilogarithmic method proposed is that it provides a closed scale representation of Y and X unlike other plots. This paper forms part of an investigation into the uses of bilogarithmic methods and hyperbolic functions in parameter estimation. Vortex-Induced Vibration Characteristics of an Underwater Manipulator in Pulsating Flow

Vortex-induced vibration(VIV)of an underwater manipulator in pulsating flow presents a notable engineering problem in precise control due to the velocity variation in the flow.This study investigates the VIV response of an underwater manipulator subjected to pulsating flow,focusing on how different postures affect the behavior of the system.The effects of pulsating parameters and manipulator arrangement on the hydrodynamic coefficient,vibration response,motion trajectory,and vortex shedding behaviors were analyzed.Results indicated that the cross flow vibration displacement in pulsating flow increased by 32.14%compared to uniform flow,inducing a shift in the motion trajectory from a crescent shape to a sideward vase shape.In the absence of interference between the upper and lower arms,the lift coefficient of the manipulator substantially increased with rising pulsating frequency,reaching a maximum increment of 67.0%.This increase in the lift coefficient led to a 67.05%rise in the vibration frequency of the manipulator in the in-line direction.As the pulsating amplitude increased,the drag coefficient of the underwater manipulator rose by 36.79%,but the vibration frequency in the cross-flow direction decreased by 56.26%.Additionally,when the upper and lower arms remained in a state of mutual interference,the cross-flow vibration amplitudes of the upper and lower arms were approximately 1.84 and 4.82 times higher in a circular-elliptical arrangement compared to an elliptical-circular arrangement,respectively.Consequently,the flow field shifted from a P+S pattern to a disordered pattern,disrupting the regularity of the motion trajectory. 展开更多

针对复合地层条件下的先下后上重叠隧道施工工况引起的土体变形进行了理论推导,在类随机介质理论和三维统一解的基础上,建立了可以考虑开挖面上存在多种土层情况的计算模型,并考虑了下线隧道对上线隧道变形的遮拦效应,推导得出土体变形... 针对复合地层条件下的先下后上重叠隧道施工工况引起的土体变形进行了理论推导,在类随机介质理论和三维统一解的基础上,建立了可以考虑开挖面上存在多种土层情况的计算模型,并考虑了下线隧道对上线隧道变形的遮拦效应,推导得出土体变形的计算公式。将本文理论方法代入多组实测案例进行验算,研究表明:计算结果有较好的拟合度,证明了该方法的可行性;通过单因素分析发现,在重叠隧道中上线隧道附近的土质条件对地表土体变形的影响较大;相较于单线施工,先下后上重叠隧道中的上线隧道引起的土体变形由于受到下线遮拦效应的影响,变形曲线会更浅更窄,而本文提出的遮拦效应系数能较好地体现下线隧道对上线隧道土体变形的影响,遮拦效应系数的大小与隧道轴线间距离成反比例关系,隧道间距越小,遮拦效应系数越大。 展开更多

膨润土防水毯(geosynthetic clay liners,GCL)复合垂直防渗墙是由水泥-膨润土泥浆墙和膨润土防水毯组成的新型竖向防渗阻污墙,施工中GCL的搭接宽度和搭接区处理效果是影响复合垂直防渗墙防渗阻污性能的重要因素。通过建立含GCL搭接区的... 膨润土防水毯(geosynthetic clay liners,GCL)复合垂直防渗墙是由水泥-膨润土泥浆墙和膨润土防水毯组成的新型竖向防渗阻污墙,施工中GCL的搭接宽度和搭接区处理效果是影响复合垂直防渗墙防渗阻污性能的重要因素。通过建立含GCL搭接区的复合垂直防渗墙二维污染物运移模型,基于数值计算方法,综合考虑GCL搭接宽度B_(2)、搭接区渗透系数kp、水泥-膨润土墙厚度Lw和渗透系数kw对搭接区内污染物分布规律及临界搭接宽度的影响。结果表明:GCL搭接区绕渗对复合垂直防渗墙防渗阻污效果影响明显;在相同条件下,当搭接区渗透系数kp由1.0×10^(-6)降至1.0×10^(-10) m/s时,GCL临界搭接宽度B_(2)由68.9 cm减至21.1 cm;增加水泥-膨润土墙厚度Lw,搭接区出口污染物浓度和临界搭接宽度相应减小,当Lw由0.4 m增加至0.8 m时,防渗墙被击穿时间延长约2.5倍,临界搭接宽度减少38.5%;当水泥-膨润土墙渗透系数kw由1.0×10^(-8) m/s降至5.0×10^(-10) m/s时,搭接区出口污染物质量浓度减少73.1%,GCL临界搭接宽度减少33.3%。 展开更多

An online hybrid test was carried out on a 40-story 120-m high concrete shear wall structure. The structure was divided into two substructures whereby a physical model of the bottom three stories was tested in the laboratory and the upper 37 stories were simulated numerically using ABAQUS. An overlapping domain method was employed for the bottom three stories to ensure the validity of the boundary conditions of the superstructure. Mixed control was adopted in the test. Displacement control was used to apply the horizontal displacement, while two controlled force actuators were applied to simulate the overturning moment, which is very large and cannot be ignored in the substructure hybrid test of high-rise buildings. A series of tests with earthquake sources of sequentially increasing intensities were carried out. The test results indicate that the proposed hybrid test method is a solution to reproduce the seismic response of high-rise concrete shear wall buildings. The seismic performance of the tested precast high-rise building satisfies the requirements of the Chinese seismic design code. 展开更多

The finite element method is presented to attain the numerical simulation of the residual stresses field in the material treated by laser shock processing. The distribution of residual stresses generated by a single laser shock with square and round laser spot is predicted and validated by experimental results. With the Finite Element Method (FEM) model, effects of different overlapping rates and impact sequences on the distribution of residual stresses are simulated. The results indicate that: (1) Overlapping laser shock can increase the compressive residual stresses. However, it is not effective on the growth of plastically affected depth; (2) Overlapping rate should be optimized and selected carefully for the large area treatment. Appropriate overlapping rate is beneficial to obtain a homogeneous residual stress field; (3) The impact sequence has a great effect on the residual stress field. It can greatly attenuate the phenomenon of the “residual stress hole” to obtain a homogeneous residual stress field. 展开更多

In this paper,we propose a local fuzzy method based on the idea of "p-strong" community to detect the disjoint and overlapping communities in networks.In the method,a refined agglomeration rule is designed for agglomerating nodes into local communities,and the overlapping nodes are detected based on the idea of making each community strong.We propose a contribution coefficient bvcito measure the contribution of an overlapping node to each of its belonging communities,and the fuzzy coefficients of the overlapping node can be obtained by normalizing the bvci to all its belonging communities.The running time of our method is analyzed and varies linearly with network size.We investigate our method on the computergenerated networks and real networks.The testing results indicate that the accuracy of our method in detecting disjoint communities is higher than those of the existing local methods and our method is efficient for detecting the overlapping nodes with fuzzy coefficients.Furthermore,the local optimizing scheme used in our method allows us to partly solve the resolution problem of the global modularity. 展开更多

We give the construction and convergence analysis for the semi-discrete and the fully discrete finite element methods. Moreover, we prove that the error of the discrete variational problem has good approximation properties. Our results are valid for any spatial dimensions. A new measuring method for maximal length, width and thickness dimensions of coarse aggregates

In order to establish a new method for measuring the dimensions of coarse aggregates, five different-size flat and elongated (F&E) coarse aggregates were glued into two specimens by epoxy resin, respectively, and slice images were obtained by X-ray CT, then the aggregates were extracted by the fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm. Attributions of the particle on different cross-sections were determined by the ‘overlap area method’. And unified three-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system was established based on continuous slice images. The coefficient values of spherical harmonics descriptor representing particles surface profile were gained, then each scanned particle was represented by 60×120 discrete points conformably with spherical harmonics descriptor. The chord length and direction angles were determined by the calculation. With the major axis (L) and orthogonal axis (W and T), the calculated results were compared with those measured by caliper. It is concluded that the new L, W, and T dimension measuring method is able to take the place of the present manual measurement. 展开更多

This method has low communication complexity. It can be implemented easily. By local a priori error estimate for finite element discretizations, error bounds of the approximate solution are derived. This paper presents an experimental investigation of laser overlap welding of low carbon galvanized steel. Based on a structured experimental design using the Taguchi method, the investigation is focused on the evaluation of various laser welding parameters effects on the welds quality. Welding experiments are conducted using a 3 kW Nd:YAG laser source. The selected laser welding parameters (laser power, welding speed, laser fiber diameter, gap between sheets and sheets thickness) are combined and used to evaluate the variation of three geometrical characteristics of the weld (penetration depth, bead width at the surface and bead width at the interface). Various improved statistical tools are used to analyze the effects of welding parameters on the variation of the weld quality and to identify the possible relationship between these parameters and the geometrical characteristics of the weld. The results reveal that the reached hardness values are similar for all the experimental tests and all welding parameters are relevant to the weld quality with a relative predominance of laser power and welding speed. The effect of the gap is relatively limited. The investigation results reveal also that there are many options to consider for building an efficient welds quality prediction model. Results achieved using an artificial neural network based simplified model provide an indication of the prediction model performances. 展开更多

Dynamic interaction of twin vertically overlapping lined tunnels in an elastic half space subjected to incident plane waves 被引量:6

The scattering of plane harmonic P and SV waves by a pair of vertically overlapping lined tunnels buried in an elastic half space is solved using a semi-analytic indirect boundary integration equation method. Then the effect of the distance between the two tunnels, the stiffness and density of the lining material, and the incident frequency on the seismic response of the tunnels is investigated. Numerical results demonstrate that the dynamic interaction between the twin tunnels cannot be ignored and the lower tunnel has a significant shielding effect on the upper tunnel for high-frequency incident waves, resulting in great decrease of the dynamic hoop stress in the upper tunnel; for the low-frequency incident waves, in contrast, the lower tunnel can lead to amplification effect on the upper tunnel. It also reveals that the frequency-spectrum characteristics of dynamic stress of the lower tunnel are significantly different from those of the upper tunnel. In addition, for incident P waves in low-frequency region, the soft lining tunnels have significant amplification effect on the surface displacement amplitude, which is slightly larger than that of the corresponding single tunnel. 展开更多

目的探讨硫辛酸对2型糖尿病(T2DM)患者血尿酸的影响。方法回顾性分析医院2022年6月至2024年6月收治的81例T2DM患者的病历资料,按是否使用硫辛酸分为观察组(39例,使用硫辛酸)和对照组(42例,未使用硫辛酸)。采用重叠加权法均衡组间变量差... 目的探讨硫辛酸对2型糖尿病(T2DM)患者血尿酸的影响。方法回顾性分析医院2022年6月至2024年6月收治的81例T2DM患者的病历资料,按是否使用硫辛酸分为观察组(39例,使用硫辛酸)和对照组(42例,未使用硫辛酸)。采用重叠加权法均衡组间变量差异后,比较两组的血尿酸(SUA)和血肌酐(SCr)降低率的差异,并比较治疗前后的神经系统症状评分量表(NSS)评分。结果观察组和对照组患者的SUA和SCr降低率均有显著差异(P<0.05);仅观察组治疗后的NSS评分显著低于治疗前(P<0.05)。结论硫辛酸可降低T2DM患者的SUA和SCr,改善周围神经病变。 展开更多
