This paper deals with extensions of higher-order optimality conditions for scalar optimization to multiobjective optimization.A type of directional derivatives for a multiobjective function is proposed,and with this notion characterizations of strict local minima of order k for a multiobjective optimization problem with a nonempty set constraint are established,generalizing the corresponding scalar case obtained by Studniarski[3].Also necessary not sufficient and sufficient not necessary optimality conditions for this minima are derived based on our directional derivatives,which are generalizations of some existing scalar results and equivalent to some existing multiobjective ones.Many examples are given to illustrate them there. 展开更多

How do hydrodynamic conditions and land use drive antibiotic fate in estuarine and bay ecosystems?

Estuarine and bay ecosystems serve as crucial transitional zones for land-based pollutants entering the ocean.However,there is a critical gap in understanding the behavior of emerging pollutants in the numerous small estuaries and bays located in undeveloped coastal areas.This study provides insights into the fate of antibiotics in these small and scattered estuaries and bays in Shantou's coast,driven by land use types and hydrodynamic conditions.The findings indicated that estuaries were more heavily polluted with antibiotics than the bays(P<0.05),with tetracyclines and fluoroquinolones as the primary antibiotics.Antibiotic pollution levels were more severe in October than in June(P<0.01).Rainfall runoff,aquaculture tailwater,and river discharge were identified as the main sources of antibiotic pollution.Build-up land and aquaculture ponds were the primary land use types contributing to antibiotic pollution.The total antibiotic concentrations in June were positively correlated with the proportion of aquaculture ponds(P<0.05)and negatively correlated with the proportions of cropland and grassland(P<0.05).The concentrations of lomefloxacin and ofloxacin were positively correlated with build-up land.The antibiotic concentrations exhibited strong spatial heterogeneity within both bay and estuarine ecosystems driven by different hydrodynamic conditions.A comparative analysis of global estuaries and bays revealed that specific land-use types and hydrodynamic conditions produced similar trends in antibiotic fate.These insights offered new perspectives to safeguard the health of estuarine and bay ecosystems,such as altering landscape patterns and regulating aquaculture activities. 展开更多

Enhancing C–N bond formation in amine carbonylation through dual hydrogen bonding catalysis under mild reaction conditions

The carbonylation of amines offers a promising route for synthesizing N-substituted carbamates with high atom economy.However,conventional catalysts exhibit limited catalytic efficiency,and the underlying proton transfer mechanism remains elusive.Herein,we reported a metal-free,room-temperature strategy utilizing 1,5,7-triazabicyclo[4.4.0]dec-5-ene(TBD)as a dual hydrogen bond catalyst to synergistically activate propylamine(PA)and dimethyl carbonate(DMC).This green catalytic system achieves a 10-fold acceleration in reaction rate compared to other hydrogen bonding catalysts under mild conditions.This is enabled by dual hydrogen bonding of TBD with PA and DMC,which facilitates rapid proton transfer and stabilizes tetrahedral intermediates.Theoretical calculations confirm that the dual hydrogen bond system significantly lowers activation energy compared to single hydrogen bond analogs.Furthermore,it was revealed that the hydrogen bonding network within the product is the primary factor responsible for the sluggish reaction rate.This study demonstrates the effectiveness of a dual hydrogen bond system in accelerating the carbonylation of amines and provides a green route to access carbamates. 展开更多

The dynamic characteristics of the track system can directly affect its service performance and failure process.To explore the load characteristics and dynamic response of the track system under the dynamic loads from the rack vehicle in traction conditions,a systematic test of the track subsystem was carried out on a large-slope test line.In the test,the bending stress of the rack teeth,the wheel-rail forces,and the acceleration of crucial components in the track system were measured.Subsequently,a detailed analysis was conducted on the tested signals of the rack railway track system in the time domain and the time-frequency domains.The test results indicate that the traction force significantly affects the rack tooth bending stress and the wheel-rail forces.The vibrations of the track system under the traction conditions are mainly caused by the impacts generated from the gear-rack engagement,which are then transferred to the sleepers,the rails,and the ballast beds.Furthermore,both the maximum stress on the racks and the wheel-rail forces measured on the rails remain below their allowable values.This experimental study evaluates the load characteristics and reveals the vibration characteristics of the rack railway track system under the vehicle’s ultimate load,which is very important for the load-strengthening design of the key components such as racks and the vibration and noise reduction of the track system. 展开更多

The main purpose of using geothermal energy piles(GEPs)is to enable the exploitation of geothermal energy for meeting the heating/cooling demands of buildings efficiently.However,the installation process of conventional GEPs is inconvenient compared with that of traditional foundation piles.The pre-bored grouted planted geothermal energy pile(PGP GEP)is an innovative technology to simplify the installation process.Most investigations of in-situ experiments for conventional GEPs have focused on summer conditions.An in-situ test for a PGP GEP was conducted to analyze the temperature changes and thermo-mechanical characteristics under winter conditions.The results show that the average temperature of the pile decreased by 5.1℃,and the pile exhibited a general trend of high temperatures at both ends and low temperatures in the middle.In mechanics,strong pile end restraints resulted in smaller observed axial strain and higher axial thermal-induced force in the pile ends than at the middle of the pile. 展开更多

Gearbox Fault Diagnosis under Varying Operating Conditions through Semi-Supervised Masked Contrastive Learning and Domain Adaptation

To address the issue of scarce labeled samples and operational condition variations that degrade the accuracy of fault diagnosis models in variable-condition gearbox fault diagnosis,this paper proposes a semi-supervised masked contrastive learning and domain adaptation(SSMCL-DA)method for gearbox fault diagnosis under variable conditions.Initially,during the unsupervised pre-training phase,a dual signal augmentation strategy is devised,which simultaneously applies random masking in the time domain and random scaling in the frequency domain to unlabeled samples,thereby constructing more challenging positive sample pairs to guide the encoder in learning intrinsic features robust to condition variations.Subsequently,a ConvNeXt-Transformer hybrid architecture is employed,integrating the superior local detail modeling capacity of ConvNeXt with the robust global perception capability of Transformer to enhance feature extraction in complex scenarios.Thereafter,a contrastive learning model is constructed with the optimization objective of maximizing feature similarity across different masked instances of the same sample,enabling the extraction of consistent features from multiple masked perspectives and reducing reliance on labeled data.In the final supervised fine-tuning phase,a multi-scale attention mechanism is incorporated for feature rectification,and a domain adaptation module combining Local Maximum Mean Discrepancy(LMMD)with adversarial learning is proposed.This module embodies a dual mechanism:LMMD facilitates fine-grained class-conditional alignment,compelling features of identical fault classes to converge across varying conditions,while the domain discriminator utilizes adversarial training to guide the feature extractor toward learning domain-invariant features.Working in concert,they markedly diminish feature distribution discrepancies induced by changes in load,rotational speed,and other factors,thereby boosting the model’s adaptability to cross-condition scenarios.Experimental evaluations on the WT planetary gearbox dataset and the Case Western Reserve University(CWRU)bearing dataset demonstrate that the SSMCL-DA model effectively identifies multiple fault classes in gearboxes,with diagnostic performance substantially surpassing that of conventional methods.Under cross-condition scenarios,the model attains fault diagnosis accuracies of 99.21%for the WT planetary gearbox and 99.86%for the bearings,respectively.Furthermore,the model exhibits stable generalization capability in cross-device settings. 展开更多

Unmanned aircraft are highly vulnerable to crosswind-induced turbulence during complex maneuvers such as turning,which can significantly compromise control and reduce autopilot effectiveness.This paper presents a novel control strategy to improve the controllability of unmanned aircraft in challenging wind conditions.First,the equations of motion for the aircraft are reformulated as a system of stochastic differential equations,which are subsequently transformed into a deterministic form.By modeling turbulence as a Gaussian random process and incorporating it directly into the control system,the proposed method proactively compensates for the adverse effects of turbulence.The transformation is achieved using semi-invariant techniques.Second,the control problem is formulated as an optimization task,aiming to minimize the deviation between the actual and desired turn characteristics,specifically the angular velocity.Finally,a new numerical method with proven global convergence is employed to compute the optimal autopilot parameters.Simulation results using a medium-range unmanned aircraft model under continuous turbulent gusts demonstrate that the proposed method significantly outperforms existing approaches,ensuring both stability and precision in turbulent wind conditions. 展开更多

This paper presents an optimal operation method for embedded DC interconnections based on low-voltage AC/DC distribution areas(EDC-LVDA)under three-phase unbalanced compensation conditions.It can optimally determine the transmission power of the DC and AC paths to simultaneously improve voltage quality and reduce losses.First,considering the embedded interconnected,unbalanced power structure of the distribution area,a power flow calculation method for EDC-LVDA that accounts for three-phase unbalanced compensation is introduced.This method accurately describes the power flow distribution characteristics under both AC and DC power allocation scenarios.Second,an optimization scheduling model for EDC-LVDA under three-phase unbalanced conditions is developed,incorporating network losses,voltage quality,DC link losses,and unbalance levels.The proposed model employs an improved particle swarm optimization(IPSO)two-layer algorithm to autonomously select different power allocation coefficients for the DC link and AC section under various operating conditions.This enables embedded economic optimization scheduling while maintaining compensation for unbalanced conditions.Finally,a case study based on the IEEE 13-node system for EDC-LVDA is conducted and tested.The results show that the proposed optimal operation method achieves a 100%voltage compliance rate and reduces network losses by 13.8%,while ensuring three-phase power balance compensation.This provides a practical solution for the modernization and upgrading of low-voltage power grids. 展开更多

The real-time and accurate calculation of electricity indirect carbon emissions is not only the critical component for quantifying the carbon emission levels of the power system but also an effective mean to guide electricity users in carbon reduction and promote power industry low-carbon transformation.Fundamentally,calculating indirect carbon emissions involves allocating direct carbon emission data from the power source side,indicating that accurate indirect emission results rely on the precise measurement of power source emissions.However,existing research on indirect carbon emissions in large-scale power systems rarely accounts for variations in carbon emission characteristics under different operating conditions of power sources,such as rated/non-rated operating conditions and ramping up/down conditions,making it difficult to reflect source-side and load-side carbon emission information variation during providing ancillary services.Quadratic and exponential functions are proposed to characterize the energy consumption profiles of coal-fired and gas-fired power generation,respectively,to construct a refined carbon emission model for power sources.By leveraging the theory of power system carbon flow,we analyze how variable operating conditions of power sources impact indirect carbon emissions.Case studies demonstrate that changes in power source emissions under variable conditions have a significant effect on the indirect carbon emissions of power grids. 展开更多

Resilient Photovoltaics:Global Optimization and Advanced Control under Complex Operating Conditions:A Critical Review

Utility-scale PV plants increasingly operate under partial shading,soiling,temperature swings,and rapid irradiance ramps that depress yield and challenge stability on weak grids.This critical review addresses those conditions by(i)unifying a stressor-to-method taxonomy that links field stressors to global intelligent MPPT(metaheuristics and learning-based trackers)and to advanced inverter controls(adaptive/MPC and grid-forming),(ii)standardizing metrics and reporting aligned with IEC 61724-1 and IEEE 1547/1547.1 to enable fair,reproducible comparisons,and(iii)framing MPPT and grid support as a co-design problem with a DT→HIL→Field validation pathway and seedable scenarios.We identify persistent gaps—fragmented partial-shading benchmarks,limited low-SCR testing,and scarce field-grade validation—and compile a quantitative synthesis:global soiling typically reduces annual production by≈3%–5%,and hybrid/learning MPPT frequently report≈99%tracking efficiency under PSC in simulation/HIL studies.To demonstrate practical relevance,we validate the framework on a seeded scenario library:DRL trackers achieve medianηMPPT≈0.996 with t95≈0.19 s and Hybrid trackers≈0.992/0.26 s,outperforming Metaheuristics(≈0.984/0.42 s);at SCR=2.5,grid-forming control raises VRI from~0.78(tuned GFL)to~0.95 while keeping THD within 2.5%–3.2%,with all stacks meeting IEEE-1547.1 Category-II ride-through.The resulting taxonomy,standards-aligned reporting,and open seeds provide a replicable basis for comparable,grid-relevant benchmarking and clear guidance for real-world design and operations. 展开更多

This paper studies a class of multiobjective generalized fractional programming problems, where the numerators of objective functions are the sum of differentiable function and convex function, while the denominators are the difference of differentiable function and convex function. Under the assumption of Calmness Constraint Qualification the Kuhn-Tucker type necessary conditions for efficient solution are given, and the Kuhn-Tucker type sufficient conditions for efficient solution are presented under the assumptions of (F, α, ρ, d)-V-convexity. Subsequently, the optimality conditions for two kinds of duality models are formulated and duality theorems are proved. 展开更多
