High-aspect-ratio aircraft are widely used in military and civilian fields,such as reconnaissance,surveillance,and attacks,due to their high lift-to-drag ratio,strong payload capability,significant endurance effect,an...High-aspect-ratio aircraft are widely used in military and civilian fields,such as reconnaissance,surveillance,and attacks,due to their high lift-to-drag ratio,strong payload capability,significant endurance effect,and good stealth performance.However,compared to conventional aircraft,high-aspect-ratio aircraft are more susceptible to gust disturbances during flight.In response to this phenomenon,a full-scale dynamic model of a high-aspect-ratio unmanned aerial vehicle was developed.Considering the coupling among control surfaces,structural forces,and aerodynamic forces,along with sensor,actuator,and delay effects,an H_(∞)control law was designed using the principle of singular value energy flow reduction and weighted function,with a PID(Proportional-Integral-Derivative)control law for comparison.The two controllers were then subjected to pulse-response and jury stability tests.Finally,wind tunnel tests were conducted to investigate the gust alleviation principle,in which gust disturbances were generated using gust generators and control surface self-excitation.The results present that the average wing root bending moment and wing tip overload under the PID control law decrease by approximately 30%,while under the H_(∞)control law,both the average wing root bending moment and wing tip overload reduction rate exceed 50%,with peaks reaching 60%.This validates the feasibility and efficiency of the designed H_(∞)controller.展开更多

Most of the existing approaches for transient control law design have complicated principle and arithmetic. As a result, those approaches are not convenient for application. This paper proposes an extrapolation approach based on the set-point parameters to construct the transient control law, which has a good practicability. In this approach, the transient main fuel control law for acceleration and deceleration process is designed based on the main fuel flow on steady operating state. In order to analyze the designing feature of the extrapolation approach, the simulation results of several different transient control laws designed by the same approach are compared together. The analysis indicates that the aeroengine has a good performance in the transient process and the designing feature of the extrapolation approach conforms to the elements of the turbofan aeroengine.展开更多

Firstly...For the terminal guidance problem of missiles intercepting maneuvering targets in the three-dimensional space, the design of guidance laws for non-decoupling three-dimensional engage- ment geometry is studied. Firstly, by introducing a finite time integral sliding mode manifold, a novel guidance law based on the integral sliding mode control is presented with the target acceler- ation as a known bounded external disturbance. Then, an improved adaptive guidance law based on the integral sliding mode control without the information of the upper bound on the target accel- eration is developed, where the upper bound of the target acceleration is estimated online by a designed adaptive law. The both presented guidance laws can make sure that the elevation angular rate of the line-of-sight and the azimuth angular rate of the line-of-sight converge to zero in finite time. In the end, the results of the guidance performance for the proposed guidance laws are pre- sented by numerical simulations. Although the designed guidance laws are developed for the con- stant speed missiles, the simulation results for the time-varying speed missiles are also shown to further confirm the designed guidance laws.展开更多

Secondly, we use the Lyapunov stability theory to prove the stability and finite time convergence of the proposed nonlinear sliding surface. Thirdly, we introduce the wavelet neural network(WNN) to adaptively update the additional control command and reduce the high-frequency chattering of sliding mode control(SMC). The proposed guidance law, denoted WNNSMC guidance law with impact angle constraint,combines the SMC methodology with WNN to improve the robustness and reduce the chattering of the system. The expected impact time is realized by using the notion of attack process and estimated time-to-go to design sliding mode surface(SMS). ITCG contains equivalent and discontinuous guidance laws, once state variables arrive at SMS,the equivalent guidance law keeps the state variables on SMS,then the discontinuous guidance law enforces state variables to move and reach SMS. The singularity problem of ITCG is also analyzed. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation results are given to test the effectiveness of ITCG designed in this paper.展开更多

In order to design a good active control law, the control plant model with low order and high accuracy must be provided, which is one of the most important key points. The traditional model is based on low fidelity aerodynamics model such as panel method, which is unsuitable for transonic flight regime. The physics-based high fidelity tools, reduced order model (ROM) and CFD/CSD coupled aeroservoelastic solver are used to design the active control law. The Volterra/ROM is applied to constructing the low order state space model for the nonlinear unsteady aerodynamics and static output feedback method is used to active control law design. The detail of the new method is demonstrated by the Goland+ wing/store system. The simulation results show that the effectiveness of the designed active augmentation system, which can suppress the flutter and LCO successfully.展开更多

To improve applicability and adaptability of the impact time control guidance(ITCG) in practical engineering, a twostage ITCG law with simple but effective structure is proposed based on the hybrid proportional naviga...To improve applicability and adaptability of the impact time control guidance(ITCG) in practical engineering, a twostage ITCG law with simple but effective structure is proposed based on the hybrid proportional navigation, namely, the pureproportional-navigation and the retro-proportional-navigation.For the case with the impact time error less than zero, the first stage of the guided trajectory is driven by the retro-proportionalnavigation and the second one is driven by the pure-proportionalnavigation. When the impact time error is greater than zero, both of the stages are generated by the pure-proportional-navigation but using different navigation gains. It is demonstrated by twoand three-dimensional numerical simulations that the proposed guidance law at least has comparable results to existing proportional-navigation-based ITCG laws and is shown to be advantageous in certain circumstances in that the proposed guidance law alleviates its dependence on the time-to-go estimation, consumes less control energy, and adapts itself to more boundary conditions and constraints. The results of this research are expected to be supplementary to the current research literature.展开更多
Due to elimination of horizontal and vertical tails,flying wing aircraft has poor longitudinal and directional dynamic characteristics.In addition,flying wing aircraft uses drag rudders for yaw control,which tends to ...Due to elimination of horizontal and vertical tails,flying wing aircraft has poor longitudinal and directional dynamic characteristics.In addition,flying wing aircraft uses drag rudders for yaw control,which tends to generate strong three-axis control coupling.To overcome these problems,a flight control law design method that couples the longitudinal axis with the lateraldirectional axes is proposed.First,the three-axis coupled control augmentation structure is specified.In the structure,a‘‘soft/hard"cross-connection method is developed for three-axis dynamic decoupling and longitudinal control response decoupling from the drag rudders;maneuvering turn angular rate estimation and subtraction are used in the yaw axis to improve the directional damping.Besides,feedforward control is adopted to improve the maneuverability and control decoupling performance.Then,detailed design methods for feedback and feedforward control parameters are established using eigenstructure assignment and model following technique.Finally,the proposed design method is evaluated and compared with conventional method by numeric simulations.The influences of control derivatives variation of drag rudders on the method are also analyzed.It is demonstrated that the method can effectively improve the dynamic characteristics of flying wing aircraft,especially the directional damping characteristics,and decouple the longitudinal responses from the drag rudders.展开更多
A CFD-based Numerical Virtual Flight(NVF)simulator is presented,which integrates an unsteady flow solver on moving hybrid grids,a Rigid-Body Dynamics(RBD)solver and a module of the Flight Control System(FCS).A techni...A CFD-based Numerical Virtual Flight(NVF)simulator is presented,which integrates an unsteady flow solver on moving hybrid grids,a Rigid-Body Dynamics(RBD)solver and a module of the Flight Control System(FCS).A technique of dynamic hybrid grids is developed to control the active control surfaces with body morphing,with a technique of parallel unstructured dynamic overlapping grids generating proper moving grids over the deflecting control surfaces(e.g.the afterbody rudders of a missile).For the flow/kinematic coupled problems,the 6 Degree-Of-Freedom(DOF)equations are solved by an explicit or implicit method coupled with the URANS CFD solver.The module of the control law is explicitly coupled into the NVF simulator and then improved by the simulation of the pitching maneuver process of a maneuverable missile model.A nonlinear dynamic inversion method is then implemented to design the control law for the pitching process of the maneuverable missile model.Simulations and analysis of the pitching maneuver process are carried out by the NVF simulator to improve the flight control law.Higher control response performance is obtained by adjusting the gain factors and adding an integrator into the control loop.展开更多

The proposed guidance law combines the sliding mode control algorithm with a fuzzy logic control scheme for the lag-free system and the first-order lag system. Through using Lyapunov stability theory, we prove the sliding surface converges to zero in finite time. Furthermore, considering the uncertain information and system disturbances, the guidance gains are on-line optimized by fuzzy logic technique. Numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate the performance of the FSMC guidance law and the results illustrate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed guidance law.展开更多

The physical parameters of models in these tests are aeroelastic scaled, while the scaling of GLA control system is always unreached. This paper concentrates on studying the scaling laws of GLA control system. Through theoretical demonstration, the scaling criterion of a classical PID control system has been come up and a scaling methodology is provided and veri- fied. By adopting the scaling laws in this paper, gust response of the scaled model could be directly related to the full-scale aircraft theoretically under both open-loop and closed-loop conditions. Also, the influences of different scaling choices of an important non-dimensional parameter, the Froude number, have been studied in this paper. Furthermore for practical application, a compen- sating method is given when the theoretical scaled actuators or sensors cannot be obtained. Also, the scaling laws of some non-linear elements in control system such as the rate and amplitude sat- urations in actuator have been studied and examined by a numerical simulation.展开更多
Implementation of efficient vibration control schemes for seismically excited structures is becoming more and more important in recent years.In this study,the influence of different control schemes on the dynamic perf...Implementation of efficient vibration control schemes for seismically excited structures is becoming more and more important in recent years.In this study,the influence of different control schemes on the dynamic performance of a frame structure excited by El Centro wave,with an emphasis on reaching law based control strategies,is examined.Reaching law refers to the reachable problem and criteria for the sliding state of a control system.Three reaching laws are designed to present different sliding mode control strategies by incorporating a state space model that describes structural dynamic characteristics of a frame structure.Both intact and damaged structures are studied by using the aforementioned control strategies.The influence of different structural damage extents,control locations and reaching law based control methods are further investigated.The results show that the structure can be well controlled using the sliding mode strategy when the induced structural damage extent does not exceed the standard percentage for considering the structure was damaged,which is 20%reduction in structure stiffness,as reported in the literature.The control effectiveness is more satisfactory if the control location is the same as the direction of external excitation.Furthermore,to study the chattering phenomenon of the sliding mode control method,approximation and detail components extracted from the phase plots of the sliding mode control system are compared via wavelet transform at different scales.The results show that for the same type of control law,the system behaves with similar chattering phenomenon.展开更多

The expected impact time is realized by using the notion of attack process and estimated time-to-go to design sliding mode surface(SMS). ITCG contains equivalent and discontinuous guidance laws, once state variables arrive at SMS,the equivalent guidance law keeps the state variables on SMS,then the discontinuous guidance law enforces state variables to move and reach SMS. The singularity problem of ITCG is also analyzed. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation results are given to test the effectiveness of ITCG designed in this paper.

文摘Two approximation laws of sliding mode for discrete-time variable structure control systems are proposed to overcome the limitations of the exponential approximation law and the variable rate approximation law. By applying the proposed approximation laws of sliding mode to discrete-time variable structure control systems, the stability of origin can be guaranteed, and the chattering along the switching surface caused by discrete-time variable structure control can be restrained effectively. In designing of approximation laws, the problem that the system control input is restricted is also considered, which is very important in practical systems. Finally a simulation example shows the effectiveness of the two approximation laws proposed.

文摘Active stability augmentation system is an attractive and promising technology to suppress flutter and limit cycle oscillation (LCO). In order to design a good active control law, the control plant model with low order and high accuracy must be provided, which is one of the most important key points. The traditional model is based on low fidelity aerodynamics model such as panel method, which is unsuitable for transonic flight regime. The physics-based high fidelity tools, reduced order model (ROM) and CFD/CSD coupled aeroservoelastic solver are used to design the active control law. The Volterra/ROM is applied to constructing the low order state space model for the nonlinear unsteady aerodynamics and static output feedback method is used to active control law design. The detail of the new method is demonstrated by the Goland+ wing/store system. The simulation results show that the effectiveness of the designed active augmentation system, which can suppress the flutter and LCO successfully.

文摘A novel discrete-time reaching law was proposed for uncertain discrete-time system,which contained process noise and measurement noise.The proposed method reserves all the advantages of discrete-time reaching law,which not only decreases the band width of sliding mode and strengthens the system robustness,but also improves the dynamic performance and stability capability of the system.Moreover,a discrete-time sliding mode control strategy based on Kalman filter method was designed,and Kalman filter was employed to eliminate the influence of system noise.Simulation results show that there is no chattering phenomenon in the output of controller and the state variables of controlled system,and the proposed algorithm is also feasible and has strong robustness to external disturbances.

文摘To improve applicability and adaptability of the impact time control guidance(ITCG) in practical engineering, a twostage ITCG law with simple but effective structure is proposed based on the hybrid proportional navigation, namely, the pureproportional-navigation and the retro-proportional-navigation.For the case with the impact time error less than zero, the first stage of the guided trajectory is driven by the retro-proportionalnavigation and the second one is driven by the pure-proportionalnavigation. When the impact time error is greater than zero, both of the stages are generated by the pure-proportional-navigation but using different navigation gains. It is demonstrated by twoand three-dimensional numerical simulations that the proposed guidance law at least has comparable results to existing proportional-navigation-based ITCG laws and is shown to be advantageous in certain circumstances in that the proposed guidance law alleviates its dependence on the time-to-go estimation, consumes less control energy, and adapts itself to more boundary conditions and constraints. The results of this research are expected to be supplementary to the current research literature.

文摘Due to elimination of horizontal and vertical tails,flying wing aircraft has poor longitudinal and directional dynamic characteristics.In addition,flying wing aircraft uses drag rudders for yaw control,which tends to generate strong three-axis control coupling.To overcome these problems,a flight control law design method that couples the longitudinal axis with the lateraldirectional axes is proposed.First,the three-axis coupled control augmentation structure is specified.In the structure,a‘‘soft/hard"cross-connection method is developed for three-axis dynamic decoupling and longitudinal control response decoupling from the drag rudders;maneuvering turn angular rate estimation and subtraction are used in the yaw axis to improve the directional damping.Besides,feedforward control is adopted to improve the maneuverability and control decoupling performance.Then,detailed design methods for feedback and feedforward control parameters are established using eigenstructure assignment and model following technique.Finally,the proposed design method is evaluated and compared with conventional method by numeric simulations.The influences of control derivatives variation of drag rudders on the method are also analyzed.It is demonstrated that the method can effectively improve the dynamic characteristics of flying wing aircraft,especially the directional damping characteristics,and decouple the longitudinal responses from the drag rudders.

文摘A CFD-based Numerical Virtual Flight(NVF)simulator is presented,which integrates an unsteady flow solver on moving hybrid grids,a Rigid-Body Dynamics(RBD)solver and a module of the Flight Control System(FCS).A technique of dynamic hybrid grids is developed to control the active control surfaces with body morphing,with a technique of parallel unstructured dynamic overlapping grids generating proper moving grids over the deflecting control surfaces(e.g.the afterbody rudders of a missile).For the flow/kinematic coupled problems,the 6 Degree-Of-Freedom(DOF)equations are solved by an explicit or implicit method coupled with the URANS CFD solver.The module of the control law is explicitly coupled into the NVF simulator and then improved by the simulation of the pitching maneuver process of a maneuverable missile model.A nonlinear dynamic inversion method is then implemented to design the control law for the pitching process of the maneuverable missile model.Simulations and analysis of the pitching maneuver process are carried out by the NVF simulator to improve the flight control law.Higher control response performance is obtained by adjusting the gain factors and adding an integrator into the control loop.

文摘In this paper, a novel fuzzy sliding mode control(FSMC) guidance law with terminal constraints of miss distance, impact angle and acceleration is presented for a constant speed missile against the stationary or slowly moving target. The proposed guidance law combines the sliding mode control algorithm with a fuzzy logic control scheme for the lag-free system and the first-order lag system. Through using Lyapunov stability theory, we prove the sliding surface converges to zero in finite time. Furthermore, considering the uncertain information and system disturbances, the guidance gains are on-line optimized by fuzzy logic technique. Numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate the performance of the FSMC guidance law and the results illustrate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed guidance law.

文摘Gust load alleviation (GLA) tests are widely conducted to study the effectiveness of the control laws and methods. The physical parameters of models in these tests are aeroelastic scaled, while the scaling of GLA control system is always unreached. This paper concentrates on studying the scaling laws of GLA control system. Through theoretical demonstration, the scaling criterion of a classical PID control system has been come up and a scaling methodology is provided and veri- fied. By adopting the scaling laws in this paper, gust response of the scaled model could be directly related to the full-scale aircraft theoretically under both open-loop and closed-loop conditions. Also, the influences of different scaling choices of an important non-dimensional parameter, the Froude number, have been studied in this paper. Furthermore for practical application, a compen- sating method is given when the theoretical scaled actuators or sensors cannot be obtained. Also, the scaling laws of some non-linear elements in control system such as the rate and amplitude sat- urations in actuator have been studied and examined by a numerical simulation.
文摘Implementation of efficient vibration control schemes for seismically excited structures is becoming more and more important in recent years.In this study,the influence of different control schemes on the dynamic performance of a frame structure excited by El Centro wave,with an emphasis on reaching law based control strategies,is examined.Reaching law refers to the reachable problem and criteria for the sliding state of a control system.Three reaching laws are designed to present different sliding mode control strategies by incorporating a state space model that describes structural dynamic characteristics of a frame structure.Both intact and damaged structures are studied by using the aforementioned control strategies.The influence of different structural damage extents,control locations and reaching law based control methods are further investigated.The results show that the structure can be well controlled using the sliding mode strategy when the induced structural damage extent does not exceed the standard percentage for considering the structure was damaged,which is 20%reduction in structure stiffness,as reported in the literature.The control effectiveness is more satisfactory if the control location is the same as the direction of external excitation.Furthermore,to study the chattering phenomenon of the sliding mode control method,approximation and detail components extracted from the phase plots of the sliding mode control system are compared via wavelet transform at different scales.The results show that for the same type of control law,the system behaves with similar chattering phenomenon.
