Face-Pedestrian Joint Feature Modeling with Cross-Category Dynamic Matching for Occlusion-Robust Multi-Object Tracking

To address the issues of frequent identity switches(IDs)and degraded identification accuracy in multi object tracking(MOT)under complex occlusion scenarios,this study proposes an occlusion-robust tracking framework based on face-pedestrian joint feature modeling.By constructing a joint tracking model centered on“intra-class independent tracking+cross-category dynamic binding”,designing a multi-modal matching metric with spatio-temporal and appearance constraints,and innovatively introducing a cross-category feature mutual verification mechanism and a dual matching strategy,this work effectively resolves performance degradation in traditional single-category tracking methods caused by short-term occlusion,cross-camera tracking,and crowded environments.Experiments on the Chokepoint_Face_Pedestrian_Track test set demonstrate that in complex scenes,the proposed method improves Face-Pedestrian Matching F1 area under the curve(F1 AUC)by approximately 4 to 43 percentage points compared to several traditional methods.The joint tracking model achieves overall performance metrics of IDF1:85.1825%and MOTA:86.5956%,representing improvements of 0.91 and 0.06 percentage points,respectively,over the baseline model.Ablation studies confirm the effectiveness of key modules such as the Intersection over Area(IoA)/Intersection over Union(IoU)joint metric and dynamic threshold adjustment,validating the significant role of the cross-category identity matching mechanism in enhancing tracking stability.Our_model shows a 16.7%frame per second(FPS)drop vs.fairness of detection and re-identification in multiple object tracking(FairMOT),with its cross-category binding module adding aboute 10%overhead,yet maintains near-real-time performance for essential face-pedestrian tracking at small resolutions. 展开更多

Anti-jamming performance evaluation has recently received significant attention. For Link-16, the anti-jamming performance evaluation and selection of the optimal anti-jamming technologies are urgent problems to be solved. A comprehensive evaluation method is proposed, which combines grey relational analysis (GRA) and cloud model, to evaluate the anti-jamming performances of Link-16. Firstly, on the basis of establishing the anti-jamming performance evaluation indicator system of Link-16, the linear combination of analytic hierarchy process(AHP) and entropy weight method (EWM) are used to calculate the combined weight. Secondly, the qualitative and quantitative concept transformation model, i.e., the cloud model, is introduced to evaluate the anti-jamming abilities of Link-16 under each jamming scheme. In addition, GRA calculates the correlation degree between evaluation indicators and the anti-jamming performance of Link-16, and assesses the best anti-jamming technology. Finally, simulation results prove that the proposed evaluation model can achieve the objective of feasible and practical evaluation, which opens up a novel way for the research of anti-jamming performance evaluations of Link-16. 展开更多

Railway-CLIP:A multimodal model for abnormal object detection in high-speed railway

Automated detection of suspended anomalous objects on high-speed railway catenary systems using computer vision-based technology is a critical task for ensuring railway transportation safety. Despite the critical importance of this task, conventional vision-based foreign object detection methodologies have predominantly concentrated on image data, neglecting the exploration and integration of textual information. The currently popular multimodal model Contrastive Language-Image Pre-training (CLIP) employs contrastive learning to enable simultaneous understanding of both visual and textual modalities. Drawing inspiration from CLIP’s capabilities, this paper introduces a novel CLIP-based multimodal foreign object detection model tailored for railway applications, referred to as Railway-CLIP. This model leverages CLIP’s robust generalization capabilities to enhance performance in the context of catenary foreign object detection. The Railway-CLIP model is primarily composed of an image encoder and a text encoder. Initially, the Segment Anything Model (SAM) is employed to preprocess raw images, identifying candidate bounding boxes that may contain foreign objects. Both the original images and the detected candidate bounding boxes are subsequently fed into the image encoder to extract their respective visual features. In parallel, distinct prompt templates are crafted for both the original images and the candidate bounding boxes to serve as textual inputs. These prompts are then processed by the text encoder to derive textual features. The image and text encoders collaboratively project the multimodal features into a shared semantic space, facilitating the computation of similarity scores between visual and textual representations. The final detection results are determined based on these similarity scores, ensuring a robust and accurate identification of anomalous objects. Extensive experiments on our collected Railway Anomaly Dataset (RAD) demonstrate that the proposed Railway-CLIP outperforms previous state-of-the-art methods, achieving 97.25% AUROC and 92.66% F1-score, thereby validating the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed approach in real-world high-speed railway anomaly detection scenarios. 展开更多

This study introduces a novel approach to addressing the challenges of high-dimensional variables and strong nonlinearity in reservoir production and layer configuration optimization.For the first time,relational machine learning models are applied in reservoir development optimization.Traditional regression-based models often struggle in complex scenarios,but the proposed relational and regression-based composite differential evolution(RRCODE)method combines a Gaussian naive Bayes relational model with a radial basis function network regression model.This integration effectively captures complex relationships in the optimization process,improving both accuracy and convergence speed.Experimental tests on a multi-layer multi-channel reservoir model,the Egg reservoir model,and a real-field reservoir model(the S reservoir)demonstrate that RRCODE significantly reduces water injection and production volumes while increasing economic returns and cumulative oil recovery.Moreover,the surrogate models employed in RRCODE exhibit lightweight characteristics with low computational overhead.These results highlight RRCODE's superior performance in the integrated optimization of reservoir production and layer configurations,offering more efficient and economically viable solutions for oilfield development. 展开更多

The stress-strain behavior of calcareous sand is significantly influencedby particle breakage(B)and initial relative density(Dri),but few constitutive models consider their combined effects.To bridge this gap,we conducted a series of triaxial tests on calcareous sand with varying Dri and stress paths,examining particle breakage and critical state behavior.Key findingsinclude:(1)At a constant stress ratio(η),B follows a hyperbolic relationship with mean effective stress(p'),and for a given p',B increases proportionally withη;(2)The critical state line(CSL)moves downward with increasing Dri,whereas the critical state friction angle(φcs)decreases with increasing B.Based on these findings,we propose a unifiedbreakage evolution model to quantify particle breakage in calcareous sand under various loading conditions.Integrating this model with the Normal Consolidation Line(NCL)and CSL equations,we successfully simulate the steepening of NCL and CSL slopes as B increases with the onset of particle breakage.Furthermore,we quantitatively evaluate the effect of B onφcs.Finally,within the framework of Critical State Soil Mechanics and Hypoplasticity theory,we develop a hypoplastic model incorporating B and Dri.The model is validated through strong agreement with experimental results across various initial relative densities,stress paths and drainage conditions. 展开更多

In this study, the authors propose a method to efficiently simulate the kinematic characteristics of railroad vehicles depending on their speed zone. They utilized the function overloading function supported by a programming language and applied the fourth-order Lunge-Kutta method for dynamic simulation. By constructing an object model, the authors calculated vehicle characteristics and TPS and compared them with actual values, verifying that the developed model represents the real-life vehicle characteristics accurately. The study highlights potential improvements in automated driving and energy consumption optimization in the railway industry. 展开更多

Active shape models (ASM), consisting of a shape model and a local gray-level appearance model, can be used to locate the objects in images. In original ASM scheme, the model of object′s gray-level variations is based on the assumption of one-dimensional sampling and searching method. In this work a new way to model the gray-level appearance of the objects is explored, using a two-dimensional sampling and searching technique in a rectangular area around each landmark of object shape. The ASM based on this improvement is compared with the original ASM on an identical medical image set for task of spine localization. Experiments demonstrate that the method produces significantly fast, effective, accurate results for spine localization in medical images. 展开更多

A data model is appropriate for modelling a given task if the information of the application environment can be easily mapped to the data model. Thus, the involved data are analyzed and then object oriented data model appropriate for CAD applications are derived. Based on the reviewed object oriented techniques applied in CAD, object oriented data modelling in CAD is addressed in details. This paper reviews the state-of-the-art of HLA evolved modular FOM. In particular, related concepts, the overall impact on HLA standards, extension principles, and merging processes are discussed. Also permitted and restricted combinations, and merging rules are provided, and the influence on HLA interface specification is given. The comparison between modular FOM and base object model (BOM) is performed to illustrate the importance of their combination. The applications of modular FOM are summarized. Identification of security risk factors for small reservoirs is the basis for implementation of early warning systems.The manner of identification of the factors for small reservoirs is of practical significance when data are incomplete.The existing grey relational models have some disadvantages in measuring the correlation between categorical data sequences.To this end,this paper introduces a new grey relational model to analyze heterogeneous data.In this study,a set of security risk factors for small reservoirs was first constructed based on theoretical analysis,and heterogeneous data of these factors were recorded as sequences.The sequences were regarded as random variables,and the information entropy and conditional entropy between sequences were measured to analyze the relational degree between risk factors.Then,a new grey relational analysis model for heterogeneous data was constructed,and a comprehensive security risk factor identification method was developed.A case study of small reservoirs in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in China shows that the model constructed in this study is applicable to security risk factor identification for small reservoirs with heterogeneous and sparse data. 展开更多

In this study, a new unified creep constitutive relation and a mod- ified energy-based fatigue model have been established respectively to describe the creep flow and predict the fatigue life of Sn-Pb solders. It is found that the relation successfully elucidates the creep mechanism related to current constitutive relations. The model can be used to describe the temperature and frequency dependent low cycle fatigue behavior of the solder. The relation and the model are further employed in part Ⅱ to develop the numerical simulation approach for the long-term reliability assessment of the plastic ball grid array (BGA) assembly. 展开更多

The proposed model is to improve the accuracy of garment fitting evaluation based on dressing image. The ITW model is an objective evaluation model of fitting based on the wrinkle index of dressing image. The ITW model consists of two main steps, the gray curve-fitting(GCF) threshold segmentation algorithm and Canny edge detection algorithm. In the ITW model, three types of wrinkle trends are defined. And the network dressing image is evaluated and simulated by three quantitative indexes: wrinkle number, wrinkle regularity and wrinkle unevenness. Finally, the fitness of three kinds of dress effects(tight, fit and loose) is quantified by objective fitting evaluation model. 展开更多

Though several shape retrieval technologies have been developed, little attention has been given to the points on human's sense and impression (as known as Kansei) in the conventional techniques, In this paper, the authors propose a novel method of shape retrieval based on shape impression of human's Kansei. The key to the method is the Gaussian curvature distribution from 3D models as features for shape retrieval. We investigate the quantum-memory-assisted entropic uncertainty relation(QMA-EUR)in a Heisenberg XYZ mixed-spin(1/2,1)model.Coupling strength,Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya(DM)interaction and inhomogeneous magnetic field,respectively,contributing to QMA-EUR by a thermal entanglement in the hybrid-spin model are studied in detail.Furthermore,we compare the uncertainty of the bipartite hybrid model with those of qubit–qubit and qutrit–qutrit systems.Meanwhile,the effects of local PT-symmetric operation and weak measurement on the steering of entropic uncertainty are analyzed.We find that the local PT-symmetric operation can reduce the entropic uncertainty,and the entropic uncertainty can also be decreased by weak measurement reversal. 展开更多
