[Result] The correlation coefficient of nonlinear model was 0.922 7 and the recovery was 96%,which showed that the nonlinear model was more accurate than linearity model with correlation coefficient of 0.904 9 and recovery of 557%. Compliant mobile robotics is a developing bioinspired concept of propulsion for locomotion.This paper studies the modeling and analysis of a compliant tail-propelled fish-like robot.This biomimetic design uses a fluid...Compliant mobile robotics is a developing bioinspired concept of propulsion for locomotion.This paper studies the modeling and analysis of a compliant tail-propelled fish-like robot.This biomimetic design uses a fluid-filled network of channels embedded into the soft body to actuate the compliant tail and generate thrust.This study analyzes the nonlinear dynamics of Fish Tail Fluidic Actuator(FTFA).The fluidic expansion under pressure creates a bending moment in the tail.It is demonstrated that the tail response follows the theoretical formulation extracted from the accurate modeling.In this modeling,tail is assumed as a continuous Euler–Bernoulli beam considering large deflection and nonlinear strain.Then,the implementation of Hamilton's principle and the method of calculation lead to the motion equations.The assumed mode method is used to achieve the mathematical model in the multi-mode system that is more similar to the soft continuous system.We investigate the tendencies of the tail amplitude,swimming speed,and Strouhal number when the input driving frequency changes.The simulation results disclose that high swimming efficiency can be obtained at the multi-order resonances;meanwhile,the compliant fish robot is pushed at the corresponding frequency illustrating nonlinear behavior.展开更多

The operating principles of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC...The proton exchange membrane generation technology is highly efficient and clean, and is considered as the most hopeful “green” power technology. The operating principles of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) system involve thermodynamics, electrochemistry, hydrodynamics and mass transfer theory, which comprise a complex nonlinear system, for which it is difficult to establish a mathematical model. This paper first simply analyzes the necessity of the PEMFC generation technology, then introduces the generating principle from four aspects: electrode, single cell, stack, system; and then uses the approach and self-study ability of artificial neural network to build the model of nonlinear system, and adapts the Leven- berg-Marquardt BP (LMBP) to build the electric characteristic model of PEMFC. The model uses experimental data as training specimens, on the condition the system is provided enough hydrogen. Considering the flow velocity of air (or oxygen) and the cell operational temperature as inputs, the cell voltage and current density as the outputs and establishing the electric characteristic model of PEMFC according to the different cell temperatures. The voltage-current output curves of model has some guidance effect for improving the cell performance, and provide basic data for optimizing cell performance that have practical significance.展开更多
A nonlinear multi-scale interaction(NMI)model was proposed and developed by the first author for nearly 30 years to represent the evolution of atmospheric blocking.In this review paper,we first review the creation and...A nonlinear multi-scale interaction(NMI)model was proposed and developed by the first author for nearly 30 years to represent the evolution of atmospheric blocking.In this review paper,we first review the creation and development of the NMI model and then emphasize that the NMI model represents a new tool for identifying the basic physics of how climate change influences mid-to-high latitude weather extremes.The building of the NMI model took place over three main periods.In the 1990s,a nonlinear Schr?dinger(NLS)equation model was presented to describe atmospheric blocking as a wave packet;however,it could not depict the lifetime(10-20 days)of atmospheric blocking.In the 2000s,we proposed an NMI model of atmospheric blocking in a uniform basic flow by making a scale-separation assumption and deriving an eddyforced NLS equation.This model succeeded in describing the life cycle of atmospheric blocking.In the 2020s,the NMI model was extended to include the impact of a changing climate mainly by altering the basic zonal winds and the magnitude of the meridional background potential vorticity gradient(PVy).Model results show that when PVy is smaller,blocking has a weaker dispersion and a stronger nonlinearity,so blocking can be more persistent and have a larger zonal scale and weaker eastward movement,thus favoring stronger weather extremes.However,when PVy is much smaller and below a critical threshold under much stronger winter Arctic warming of global warming,atmospheric blocking becomes locally less persistent and shows a much stronger westward movement,which acts to inhibit local cold extremes.Such a case does not happen in summer under global warming because PVy fails to fall below the critical threshold.Thus,our theory indicates that global warming can render summer-blocking anticyclones and mid-to-high latitude heatwaves more persistent,intense,and widespread.展开更多

The previous sensitivity analysis researches are not accurate enough and also have the limited reference value, because those mathematical models are relatively simple and the change of the load and the initial displa...The previous sensitivity analysis researches are not accurate enough and also have the limited reference value, because those mathematical models are relatively simple and the change of the load and the initial displacement changes of the piston are ignored, even experiment verification is not conducted. Therefore, in view of deficiencies above, a nonlinear mathematical model is established in this paper, including dynamic characteristics of servo valve, nonlinear characteristics of pressure-flow, initial displacement of servo cylinder piston and friction nonlinearity. The transfer function block diagram is built for the hydraulic drive unit closed loop position control, as well as the state equations. Through deriving the time-varying coefficient items matrix and time-varying free items matrix of sensitivity equations respectively, the expression of sensitivity equations based on the nonlinear mathematical model are obtained. According to structure parameters of hydraulic drive unit, working parameters, fluid transmission characteristics and measured friction-velocity curves, the simulation analysis of hydraulic drive unit is completed on the MATLAB/Simulink simulation platform with the displacement step 2 mm, 5 mm and 10 mm, respectively. The simulation results indicate that the developed nonlinear mathematical model is sufficient by comparing the characteristic curves of experimental step response and simulation step response under different constant load. Then, the sensitivity function time-history curves of seventeen parameters are obtained, basing on each state vector time-history curve of step response characteristic. The maximum value of displacement variation percentage and the sum of displacement variation absolute values in the sampling time are both taken as sensitivity indexes. The sensitivity indexes values above are calculated and shown visually in histograms under different working conditions, and change rules are analyzed. Then the sensitivity indexes values of four measurable parameters, such as supply pressure, proportional gain, initial position of servo cylinder piston and load force, are verified experimentally on test platform of hydraulic drive unit, and the experimental research shows that the sensitivity analysis results obtained through simulation are approximate to the test results. This research indicates each parameter sensitivity characteristics of hydraulic drive unit, the performance-affected main parameters and secondary parameters are got under different working conditions, which will provide the theoretical foundation for the control compensation and structure optimization of hydraulic drive unit.展开更多
Nonlinear model predictive control(NMPC)scheme is an effective method of multi-objective optimization control in complex industrial systems.In this paper,a NMPC scheme for the wet limestone flue gas desulphurization(W...Nonlinear model predictive control(NMPC)scheme is an effective method of multi-objective optimization control in complex industrial systems.In this paper,a NMPC scheme for the wet limestone flue gas desulphurization(WFGD)system is proposed which provides a more flexible framework of optimal control and decision-making compared with PID scheme.At first,a mathematical model of the FGD process is deduced which is suitable for NMPC structure.To equipoise the model’s accuracy and conciseness,the wet limestone FGD system is separated into several modules.Based on the conservation laws,a model with reasonable simplification is developed to describe dynamics of different modules for the purpose of controller design.Then,by addressing economic objectives directly into the NMPC scheme,the NMPC controller can minimize economic cost and track the set-point simultaneously.The accuracy of model is validated by the field data of a 1000 MW thermal power plant in Henan Province,China.The simulation results show that the NMPC strategy improves the economic performance and ensures the emission requirement at the same time.In the meantime,the control scheme satisfies the multiobjective control requirements under complex operation conditions(e.g.,boiler load fluctuation and set point variation).The mathematical model and NMPC structure provides the basic work for the future development of advanced optimized control algorithms in the wet limestone FGD systems.展开更多

Moistube irrigation is a new micro-irrigation technology.Accurately estimating its wetting pattern dimensions presents a challenge.Therefore,it is necessary to develop models for efficient assessment of the wetting tr...Moistube irrigation is a new micro-irrigation technology.Accurately estimating its wetting pattern dimensions presents a challenge.Therefore,it is necessary to develop models for efficient assessment of the wetting transport pattern in order to design a cost-effective moistube irrigation system.To achieve this goal,this study developed a multivariate nonlinear regression model and compared it with a dimensional model.HYDRUS-2D was used to perform numerical simulations of 56 irrigation scenarios with different factors.The experiments showed that the shape of the wetting soil body approximated a cylinder and was mainly affected by soil texture,pressure head,and matric potential.A multivariate nonlinear model using a power function relationship between wetting size and irrigation time was developed,with a determination coefficient greater than 0.99.The model was validated for cases with six soil texture types,with mean average absolute errors of 0.43-0.90 cm,root mean square errors of 0.51-0.95 cm,and mean deviation percentage values of 3.23%-6.27%.The multivariate nonlinear regression model outperformed the dimensional model.It can therefore provide a scientific foundation for the development of moistube irrigation systems.展开更多

It is a challenge to extract latent features and construct soft sensor model with high dimensional frequency spectra of these signals. This paper aims to develop a selective ensemble modeling approach based on nonlinear latent frequency spectral feature extraction for accurate measurement of material to ball volume ratio. Latent features are first extracted from different vibrations and acoustic spectral segments by kernel partial least squares. Algorithms of bootstrap and least squares support vector machines are employed to produce candidate sub-models using these latent features as inputs. Ensemble sub-models are selected based on genetic algorithm optimization toolbox. Partial least squares regression is used to combine these sub-models to eliminate collinearity among their prediction outputs. Results indicate that the proposed modeling approach has better prediction performance than previous ones.展开更多
Because of significantly changed load and complex and variable driving road conditions of commercial vehicles,pneumatic suspension with lower natural frequencies is widely used in commercial vehicle suspension system....Because of significantly changed load and complex and variable driving road conditions of commercial vehicles,pneumatic suspension with lower natural frequencies is widely used in commercial vehicle suspension system.How ever,traditional pneumatic suspension system is hardly to respond the greatly changed load of commercial vehicles To address this issue,a new Gas-Interconnected Quasi-Zero Stiffness Pneumatic Suspension(GIQZSPS)is presented in this paper to improve the vibration isolation performance of commercial vehicle suspension systems under frequent load changes.This new structure adds negative stiffness air chambers on traditional pneumatic suspension to reduce the natural frequency of the suspension.It can adapt to different loads and road conditions by adjusting the solenoid valves between the negative stiffness air chambers.Firstly,a nonlinear mechanical model including the dimensionless stiffness characteristic and interconnected pipeline model is derived for GIQZSPS system.By the nonlinear mechanical model of GIQZSPS system,the force transmissibility rate is chosen as the evaluation index to analyze characteristics.Furthermore,a testing bench simulating 1/4 GIQZSPS system is designed,and the testing analysis of the model validation and isolating performance is carried out.The results show that compared to traditional pneumatic suspension,the GIQZSPS designed in the article has a lower natural frequency.And the system can achieve better vibration isolation performance under different load states by switching the solenoid valves between air chambers.展开更多
This paper presents a Nonlinear Model Predictive Controller(NMPC)for the path following of autonomous vehicles and an algorithm to adaptively adjust the preview distance.The prediction model includes vehicle dynamics,...This paper presents a Nonlinear Model Predictive Controller(NMPC)for the path following of autonomous vehicles and an algorithm to adaptively adjust the preview distance.The prediction model includes vehicle dynamics,path following dynamics,and system input dynamics.The single-track vehicle model considers the vehicle’s coupled lateral and longitudinal dynamics,as well as nonlinear tire forces.The tracking error dynamics are derived based on the curvilinear coordinates.The cost function is designed to minimize path tracking errors and control effort while considering constraints such as actuator bounds and tire grip limits.An algorithm that utilizes the optimal preview distance vector to query the corresponding reference curvature and reference speed.The length of the preview path is adaptively adjusted based on the vehicle speed,heading error,and path curvature.We validate the controller performance in a simulation environment with the autonomous racing scenario.The simulation results show that the vehicle accurately follows the highly dynamic path with small tracking errors.The maximum preview distance can be prior estimated and guidance the selection of the prediction horizon for NMPC.展开更多

How...Separable nonlinear models are widely used in various fields such as time series analysis, system modeling, and machine learning, due to their flexible structures and ability to capture nonlinear behavior of data. However, identifying the parameters of these models is challenging, especially when sparse models with better interpretability are desired by practitioners. Previous theoretical and practical studies have shown that variable projection (VP) is an efficient method for identifying separable nonlinear models, but these are based on \(L_2\) penalty of model parameters, which cannot be directly extended to deal with sparse constraint. Based on the exploration of the structural characteristics of separable models, this paper proposes gradient-based and trust-region-based variable projection algorithms, which mainly solve two key problems: how to eliminate linear parameters under sparse constraint;and how to deal with the coupling relationship between linear and nonlinear parameters in the model. Finally, numerical experiments on synthetic data and real time series data are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.展开更多

SiO_(2)-particle reinforced silicon rubber composite(SP-RSRC)is a widely utilized material that offers shock absorption protection to various engineering structures in impact environments.This paper presents a compreh...SiO_(2)-particle reinforced silicon rubber composite(SP-RSRC)is a widely utilized material that offers shock absorption protection to various engineering structures in impact environments.This paper presents a comprehensive investigation of the mechanical behavior of SP-RSRC under various strain rates,employing a combination of experimental,theoretical,and numerical analyses.Firstly,quasi-static and dynamic compression tests were performed on SP-RSRC utilizing a universal testing machine and split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB)apparatus.Nonlinear stress-strain relationships of SP-RSRC were obtained for strain rates ranging from 1×10^(−3) to 3065 s^(−1).The results indicated that the composite showed evident strain rate sensitivity,along with nonlinearity.Then,a nonlinear visco-hyperelastic constitutive model was developed,consisting of a hyperelastic component utilizing the 3rd-order Ogden energy function and a viscous component employing a rate-dependent relaxation time scheme.The model accurately characterized the dynamic mechanical response of SP-RSRC,effectively mitigating the challenge of calibrating an excessive number of material parameters inherent in conventional viscoelastic models.Furthermore,the simplified rubber material(SRM)model,integrated within the LS-DYNA software,was chosen to depict the mechanical properties of SP-RSRC in numerical simulations.The parameters of the SRM model were further calibrated based on the strain-stress relationships of SP-RSRC,as predicted by the developed nonlinear visco-hyperelastic constitutive model.Finally,an inverse ballistic experiment using a single-stage air gun was conducted for SP-RSRC.Numerical simulations of SHPB experiments and the inverse ballistic experiment were then performed,and the reliability of the calibrated SRM model was verified by comparing the results of experiments and numerical simulations.This study offers a valuable reference for the utilization of SP-RSRC in the realm of impact protection.展开更多
This paper investigates the motion control of the heavy-duty Bionic Caterpillar-like Robot(BCR)for the maintenance of the China Fusion Engineering Test Reactor(CFETR).Initially,a comprehensive nonlinear mathematical m...This paper investigates the motion control of the heavy-duty Bionic Caterpillar-like Robot(BCR)for the maintenance of the China Fusion Engineering Test Reactor(CFETR).Initially,a comprehensive nonlinear mathematical model for the BCR system is formulated using a physics-based approach.The nonlinear components of the model are compensated through nonlinear feedback linearization.Subsequently,a fuzzy-based regulator is employed to enhance the receding horizon opti-mization process for achieving optimal results.A Deep Neural Network(DNN)is trained to address disturbances.Conse-quently,a novel hybrid controller incorporating Nonlinear Model Predictive Control(NMPC),the Fuzzy Regulator(FR),and Deep Neural Network Feedforward(DNNF),named NMPC-FRDNNF is developed.Finally,the efficacy of the control system is validated through simulations and experiments.The results indicate that the Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)of the controller with FR and DNNF decreases by 33.2 and 48.9%,respectively,compared to the controller without these enhancements.This research provides a theoretical foundation and practical insights for ensuring the future highly stable,safe,and efficient maintenance of blankets.展开更多

文摘Compliant mobile robotics is a developing bioinspired concept of propulsion for locomotion.This paper studies the modeling and analysis of a compliant tail-propelled fish-like robot.This biomimetic design uses a fluid-filled network of channels embedded into the soft body to actuate the compliant tail and generate thrust.This study analyzes the nonlinear dynamics of Fish Tail Fluidic Actuator(FTFA).The fluidic expansion under pressure creates a bending moment in the tail.It is demonstrated that the tail response follows the theoretical formulation extracted from the accurate modeling.In this modeling,tail is assumed as a continuous Euler–Bernoulli beam considering large deflection and nonlinear strain.Then,the implementation of Hamilton's principle and the method of calculation lead to the motion equations.The assumed mode method is used to achieve the mathematical model in the multi-mode system that is more similar to the soft continuous system.We investigate the tendencies of the tail amplitude,swimming speed,and Strouhal number when the input driving frequency changes.The simulation results disclose that high swimming efficiency can be obtained at the multi-order resonances;meanwhile,the compliant fish robot is pushed at the corresponding frequency illustrating nonlinear behavior.

文摘The proton exchange membrane generation technology is highly efficient and clean, and is considered as the most hopeful “green” power technology. The operating principles of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) system involve thermodynamics, electrochemistry, hydrodynamics and mass transfer theory, which comprise a complex nonlinear system, for which it is difficult to establish a mathematical model. This paper first simply analyzes the necessity of the PEMFC generation technology, then introduces the generating principle from four aspects: electrode, single cell, stack, system; and then uses the approach and self-study ability of artificial neural network to build the model of nonlinear system, and adapts the Leven- berg-Marquardt BP (LMBP) to build the electric characteristic model of PEMFC. The model uses experimental data as training specimens, on the condition the system is provided enough hydrogen. Considering the flow velocity of air (or oxygen) and the cell operational temperature as inputs, the cell voltage and current density as the outputs and establishing the electric characteristic model of PEMFC according to the different cell temperatures. The voltage-current output curves of model has some guidance effect for improving the cell performance, and provide basic data for optimizing cell performance that have practical significance.

文摘A nonlinear multi-scale interaction(NMI)model was proposed and developed by the first author for nearly 30 years to represent the evolution of atmospheric blocking.In this review paper,we first review the creation and development of the NMI model and then emphasize that the NMI model represents a new tool for identifying the basic physics of how climate change influences mid-to-high latitude weather extremes.The building of the NMI model took place over three main periods.In the 1990s,a nonlinear Schr?dinger(NLS)equation model was presented to describe atmospheric blocking as a wave packet;however,it could not depict the lifetime(10-20 days)of atmospheric blocking.In the 2000s,we proposed an NMI model of atmospheric blocking in a uniform basic flow by making a scale-separation assumption and deriving an eddyforced NLS equation.This model succeeded in describing the life cycle of atmospheric blocking.In the 2020s,the NMI model was extended to include the impact of a changing climate mainly by altering the basic zonal winds and the magnitude of the meridional background potential vorticity gradient(PVy).Model results show that when PVy is smaller,blocking has a weaker dispersion and a stronger nonlinearity,so blocking can be more persistent and have a larger zonal scale and weaker eastward movement,thus favoring stronger weather extremes.However,when PVy is much smaller and below a critical threshold under much stronger winter Arctic warming of global warming,atmospheric blocking becomes locally less persistent and shows a much stronger westward movement,which acts to inhibit local cold extremes.Such a case does not happen in summer under global warming because PVy fails to fall below the critical threshold.Thus,our theory indicates that global warming can render summer-blocking anticyclones and mid-to-high latitude heatwaves more persistent,intense,and widespread.

文摘In this paper,we propose a multiphysics finite element method for a nonlinear poroelasticity model with nonlinear stress-strain relation.Firstly,we reformulate the original problem into a new coupled fluid system-a generalized nonlinear Stokes problem of displacement vector field related to pseudo pressure and a diffusion problem of other pseudo pressure fields.Secondly,a fully discrete multiphysics finite element method is performed to solve the reformulated system numerically.Thirdly,existence and uniqueness of the weak solution of the reformulated model and stability analysis and optimal convergence order for the multiphysics finite element method are proven theoretically.Lastly,numerical tests are given to verify the theoretical results.

文摘We study the thermodynamic properties of the classical one-dimensional generalized nonlinear Klein-Gordon lattice model(n≥2)by using the cluster variation method with linear response theory.The results of this method are exact in the thermodynamic limit.We present the single-site reduced densityρ^((1))(z),averages such as(z^(2)),<|z^(n)|>,and<(z_(1)-z_(2))^(2)>,the specific heat C_(v),and the static correlation functions.We analyze the scaling behavior of these quantities and obtain the exact scaling powers at the low and high temperatures.Using these results,we gauge the accuracy of the projective truncation approximation for theφ^(4)lattice model.

文摘The previous sensitivity analysis researches are not accurate enough and also have the limited reference value, because those mathematical models are relatively simple and the change of the load and the initial displacement changes of the piston are ignored, even experiment verification is not conducted. Therefore, in view of deficiencies above, a nonlinear mathematical model is established in this paper, including dynamic characteristics of servo valve, nonlinear characteristics of pressure-flow, initial displacement of servo cylinder piston and friction nonlinearity. The transfer function block diagram is built for the hydraulic drive unit closed loop position control, as well as the state equations. Through deriving the time-varying coefficient items matrix and time-varying free items matrix of sensitivity equations respectively, the expression of sensitivity equations based on the nonlinear mathematical model are obtained. According to structure parameters of hydraulic drive unit, working parameters, fluid transmission characteristics and measured friction-velocity curves, the simulation analysis of hydraulic drive unit is completed on the MATLAB/Simulink simulation platform with the displacement step 2 mm, 5 mm and 10 mm, respectively. The simulation results indicate that the developed nonlinear mathematical model is sufficient by comparing the characteristic curves of experimental step response and simulation step response under different constant load. Then, the sensitivity function time-history curves of seventeen parameters are obtained, basing on each state vector time-history curve of step response characteristic. The maximum value of displacement variation percentage and the sum of displacement variation absolute values in the sampling time are both taken as sensitivity indexes. The sensitivity indexes values above are calculated and shown visually in histograms under different working conditions, and change rules are analyzed. Then the sensitivity indexes values of four measurable parameters, such as supply pressure, proportional gain, initial position of servo cylinder piston and load force, are verified experimentally on test platform of hydraulic drive unit, and the experimental research shows that the sensitivity analysis results obtained through simulation are approximate to the test results. This research indicates each parameter sensitivity characteristics of hydraulic drive unit, the performance-affected main parameters and secondary parameters are got under different working conditions, which will provide the theoretical foundation for the control compensation and structure optimization of hydraulic drive unit.

文摘Nonlinear model predictive control(NMPC)scheme is an effective method of multi-objective optimization control in complex industrial systems.In this paper,a NMPC scheme for the wet limestone flue gas desulphurization(WFGD)system is proposed which provides a more flexible framework of optimal control and decision-making compared with PID scheme.At first,a mathematical model of the FGD process is deduced which is suitable for NMPC structure.To equipoise the model’s accuracy and conciseness,the wet limestone FGD system is separated into several modules.Based on the conservation laws,a model with reasonable simplification is developed to describe dynamics of different modules for the purpose of controller design.Then,by addressing economic objectives directly into the NMPC scheme,the NMPC controller can minimize economic cost and track the set-point simultaneously.The accuracy of model is validated by the field data of a 1000 MW thermal power plant in Henan Province,China.The simulation results show that the NMPC strategy improves the economic performance and ensures the emission requirement at the same time.In the meantime,the control scheme satisfies the multiobjective control requirements under complex operation conditions(e.g.,boiler load fluctuation and set point variation).The mathematical model and NMPC structure provides the basic work for the future development of advanced optimized control algorithms in the wet limestone FGD systems.

文摘To shed light on the subgrid-seale (SGS) modeling methodology of nonlinear systems such as the Navier-Stokes turbulence, we define the concepts of assumption and restriction in the modeling procedure, which are shown by generalized derivation of three general mathematical constraints for different combinations of restrictions. These constraints are verified numerically in a one-dimensional nonlinear advection equation. This study is expected to inspire future research on the SGS modeling methodology of nonlinear systems.

文摘Moistube irrigation is a new micro-irrigation technology.Accurately estimating its wetting pattern dimensions presents a challenge.Therefore,it is necessary to develop models for efficient assessment of the wetting transport pattern in order to design a cost-effective moistube irrigation system.To achieve this goal,this study developed a multivariate nonlinear regression model and compared it with a dimensional model.HYDRUS-2D was used to perform numerical simulations of 56 irrigation scenarios with different factors.The experiments showed that the shape of the wetting soil body approximated a cylinder and was mainly affected by soil texture,pressure head,and matric potential.A multivariate nonlinear model using a power function relationship between wetting size and irrigation time was developed,with a determination coefficient greater than 0.99.The model was validated for cases with six soil texture types,with mean average absolute errors of 0.43-0.90 cm,root mean square errors of 0.51-0.95 cm,and mean deviation percentage values of 3.23%-6.27%.The multivariate nonlinear regression model outperformed the dimensional model.It can therefore provide a scientific foundation for the development of moistube irrigation systems.

文摘Strong mechanical vibration and acoustical signals of grinding process contain useful information related to load parameters in ball mills. It is a challenge to extract latent features and construct soft sensor model with high dimensional frequency spectra of these signals. This paper aims to develop a selective ensemble modeling approach based on nonlinear latent frequency spectral feature extraction for accurate measurement of material to ball volume ratio. Latent features are first extracted from different vibrations and acoustic spectral segments by kernel partial least squares. Algorithms of bootstrap and least squares support vector machines are employed to produce candidate sub-models using these latent features as inputs. Ensemble sub-models are selected based on genetic algorithm optimization toolbox. Partial least squares regression is used to combine these sub-models to eliminate collinearity among their prediction outputs. Results indicate that the proposed modeling approach has better prediction performance than previous ones.

文摘Because of significantly changed load and complex and variable driving road conditions of commercial vehicles,pneumatic suspension with lower natural frequencies is widely used in commercial vehicle suspension system.How ever,traditional pneumatic suspension system is hardly to respond the greatly changed load of commercial vehicles To address this issue,a new Gas-Interconnected Quasi-Zero Stiffness Pneumatic Suspension(GIQZSPS)is presented in this paper to improve the vibration isolation performance of commercial vehicle suspension systems under frequent load changes.This new structure adds negative stiffness air chambers on traditional pneumatic suspension to reduce the natural frequency of the suspension.It can adapt to different loads and road conditions by adjusting the solenoid valves between the negative stiffness air chambers.Firstly,a nonlinear mechanical model including the dimensionless stiffness characteristic and interconnected pipeline model is derived for GIQZSPS system.By the nonlinear mechanical model of GIQZSPS system,the force transmissibility rate is chosen as the evaluation index to analyze characteristics.Furthermore,a testing bench simulating 1/4 GIQZSPS system is designed,and the testing analysis of the model validation and isolating performance is carried out.The results show that compared to traditional pneumatic suspension,the GIQZSPS designed in the article has a lower natural frequency.And the system can achieve better vibration isolation performance under different load states by switching the solenoid valves between air chambers.

文摘This paper presents a Nonlinear Model Predictive Controller(NMPC)for the path following of autonomous vehicles and an algorithm to adaptively adjust the preview distance.The prediction model includes vehicle dynamics,path following dynamics,and system input dynamics.The single-track vehicle model considers the vehicle’s coupled lateral and longitudinal dynamics,as well as nonlinear tire forces.The tracking error dynamics are derived based on the curvilinear coordinates.The cost function is designed to minimize path tracking errors and control effort while considering constraints such as actuator bounds and tire grip limits.An algorithm that utilizes the optimal preview distance vector to query the corresponding reference curvature and reference speed.The length of the preview path is adaptively adjusted based on the vehicle speed,heading error,and path curvature.We validate the controller performance in a simulation environment with the autonomous racing scenario.The simulation results show that the vehicle accurately follows the highly dynamic path with small tracking errors.The maximum preview distance can be prior estimated and guidance the selection of the prediction horizon for NMPC.

文摘Separable nonlinear models are widely used in various fields such as time series analysis, system modeling, and machine learning, due to their flexible structures and ability to capture nonlinear behavior of data. However, identifying the parameters of these models is challenging, especially when sparse models with better interpretability are desired by practitioners. Previous theoretical and practical studies have shown that variable projection (VP) is an efficient method for identifying separable nonlinear models, but these are based on \(L_2\) penalty of model parameters, which cannot be directly extended to deal with sparse constraint. Based on the exploration of the structural characteristics of separable models, this paper proposes gradient-based and trust-region-based variable projection algorithms, which mainly solve two key problems: how to eliminate linear parameters under sparse constraint;and how to deal with the coupling relationship between linear and nonlinear parameters in the model. Finally, numerical experiments on synthetic data and real time series data are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

文摘Lithium-ion batteries are widely recognized as a crucial enabling technology for the advancement of electric vehicles and energy storage systems in the grid.The design of battery state estimation and control algorithms in battery management systems is usually based on battery models,which interpret crucial battery dynamics through the utilization of mathematical functions.Therefore,the investigation of battery dynamics with the purpose of battery system identification has garnered considerable attention in the realm of battery research.Characterization methods in terms of linear and nonlinear response of lithium-ion batteries have emerged as a prominent area of study in this field.This review has undertaken an analysis and discussion of characterization methods,with a particular focus on the motivation of battery system identification.Specifically,this work encompasses the incorporation of frequency domain nonlinear characterization methods and dynamics-based battery electrical models.The aim of this study is to establish a connection between the characterization and identification of battery systems for researchers and engineers specialized in the field of batteries,with the intention of promoting the advancement of efficient battery technology for real-world applications.
文摘This paper proposes a robust control scheme based on the sequential convex programming and learning-based model for nonlinear system subjected to additive uncertainties.For the problem of system nonlinearty and unknown uncertainties,we study the tube-based model predictive control scheme that makes use of feedforward neural network.Based on the characteristics of the bounded limit of the average cost function while time approaching infinity,a min-max optimization problem(referred to as min-max OP)is formulated to design the controller.The feasibility of this optimization problem and the practical stability of the controlled system are ensured.To demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed approach,a numerical simulation on a double-tank system is conducted.The results of the simulation serve as verification of the effectualness of the proposed scheme.
文摘SiO_(2)-particle reinforced silicon rubber composite(SP-RSRC)is a widely utilized material that offers shock absorption protection to various engineering structures in impact environments.This paper presents a comprehensive investigation of the mechanical behavior of SP-RSRC under various strain rates,employing a combination of experimental,theoretical,and numerical analyses.Firstly,quasi-static and dynamic compression tests were performed on SP-RSRC utilizing a universal testing machine and split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB)apparatus.Nonlinear stress-strain relationships of SP-RSRC were obtained for strain rates ranging from 1×10^(−3) to 3065 s^(−1).The results indicated that the composite showed evident strain rate sensitivity,along with nonlinearity.Then,a nonlinear visco-hyperelastic constitutive model was developed,consisting of a hyperelastic component utilizing the 3rd-order Ogden energy function and a viscous component employing a rate-dependent relaxation time scheme.The model accurately characterized the dynamic mechanical response of SP-RSRC,effectively mitigating the challenge of calibrating an excessive number of material parameters inherent in conventional viscoelastic models.Furthermore,the simplified rubber material(SRM)model,integrated within the LS-DYNA software,was chosen to depict the mechanical properties of SP-RSRC in numerical simulations.The parameters of the SRM model were further calibrated based on the strain-stress relationships of SP-RSRC,as predicted by the developed nonlinear visco-hyperelastic constitutive model.Finally,an inverse ballistic experiment using a single-stage air gun was conducted for SP-RSRC.Numerical simulations of SHPB experiments and the inverse ballistic experiment were then performed,and the reliability of the calibrated SRM model was verified by comparing the results of experiments and numerical simulations.This study offers a valuable reference for the utilization of SP-RSRC in the realm of impact protection.

文摘This paper investigates the motion control of the heavy-duty Bionic Caterpillar-like Robot(BCR)for the maintenance of the China Fusion Engineering Test Reactor(CFETR).Initially,a comprehensive nonlinear mathematical model for the BCR system is formulated using a physics-based approach.The nonlinear components of the model are compensated through nonlinear feedback linearization.Subsequently,a fuzzy-based regulator is employed to enhance the receding horizon opti-mization process for achieving optimal results.A Deep Neural Network(DNN)is trained to address disturbances.Conse-quently,a novel hybrid controller incorporating Nonlinear Model Predictive Control(NMPC),the Fuzzy Regulator(FR),and Deep Neural Network Feedforward(DNNF),named NMPC-FRDNNF is developed.Finally,the efficacy of the control system is validated through simulations and experiments.The results indicate that the Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)of the controller with FR and DNNF decreases by 33.2 and 48.9%,respectively,compared to the controller without these enhancements.This research provides a theoretical foundation and practical insights for ensuring the future highly stable,safe,and efficient maintenance of blankets.
