Non-Abelian topological insulators are characterized by matrix-valued,non-commuting topological charges with regard to more than one energy gap.Their descriptions go beyond the conventional topological band theory,in ...Non-Abelian topological insulators are characterized by matrix-valued,non-commuting topological charges with regard to more than one energy gap.Their descriptions go beyond the conventional topological band theory,in which an additive integer like the winding or Chern number is endowed separately with each(degenerate group of)energy band(s).In this work,we reveal that Floquet(time-periodic)driving could not only enrich the topology and phase transitions of non-Abelian topological matter,but also induce bulk-edge correspondence unique to nonequilibrium setups.Using a one-dimensional,three-band model as an illustrative example,we demonstrate that Floquet driving could reshuffle the phase diagram of the non-driven system,yielding both gapped and gapless Floquet band structures with non-Abelian topological charges.Moreover,by dynamically tuning the anomalous Floquet π-quasienergy gap,non-Abelian topological transitions inaccessible to static systems could arise,leading to much more complicated relations between non-Abelian topological charges and Floquet edge states.These discoveries put forth periodic driving as a powerful scheme of engineering non-Abelian topological phases and incubating unique non-Abelian band topology beyond equilibrium.展开更多

Background:No clear evidence exists regarding the relationship between the systemic immune-inflammation index(SII)and the efficacy of first-line chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy in patients with advanced non-s...Background:No clear evidence exists regarding the relationship between the systemic immune-inflammation index(SII)and the efficacy of first-line chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).This study aimed to establish the relationship between the SII and survival of patients with advanced NSCLC.Methods:This study included 123 patients with advanced NSCLC.The cutoff value of the SII was determined to be 1172 using ROC curve analysis.We evaluated the relationship between the SII and progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS)using the Cox regression model and Kaplan-Meier(KM)curve analysis.We stratified patients into multiple subgroups based on covariates such as age,sex,and smoking history.Subgroup analysis was used to evaluate the relationship between high SII,disease progression,and mortality risk.Results:Univariate analysis indicated that no significant difference existed between SII and PFS,but univariate analysis showed a significant association between SII and OS(hazard ratio[HR]=1.93,95% confidence interval[CI]=1.14-3.29,p=0.015).The fully adjusted Cox regression analysis also showed a significant correlation between the SII and OS after adjustment for covariables(HR=1.76,95%CI=1.02-3.02,p=0.041).In some subgroups,a high SII positively correlated with the risk of disease progression,and the relationship between a high SII and the risk of mortality was consistent in almost all subgroups.Conclusions:These results indicate that pretreatment SII may be an independent predictivemarker for patients with advanced NSCLC undergoing first-line chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy.However,large-scale prospective studies are required to confirm our results.展开更多

BACKGROUND The use of apixaban in chronic hemodialysis(HD)patients for non-valvular atrial fibrillation(NVAF)is still controversial regarding benefit of stroke protection vs risk of bleeding.Rotational thromboelastome...BACKGROUND The use of apixaban in chronic hemodialysis(HD)patients for non-valvular atrial fibrillation(NVAF)is still controversial regarding benefit of stroke protection vs risk of bleeding.Rotational thromboelastometry(ROTEM)is a point of care method that evaluates clot formation in whole blood and has been used as an evaluation tool for bleeding risk assessment in non-HD apixaban users.AIM To determine whether bleeding risk can be predicted using ROTEM activated with tissue factor(EXTEM)in HD patients receiving apixaban for NVAF.METHODS Nineteen HD patients with NVAF treated with apixaban for at least 8 days were enrolled.Four dosing regimens were recorded as prescribed by their physician,from 2.5 mg once daily on a non-dialysis day to 5 mg twice daily.Standard coagulation tests,along with ROTEM and apixaban drug levels(using liquid anti-Xa assay)were performed once on a non-dialysis day before and two hours after apixaban morning pill administration.Patients were subsequently monitored for thrombotic/bleeding events and all-cause mortality.RESULTS Over a median follow-up period of 36 months,six patients experienced a bleeding event(group A)and 13 remained free of bleeding(group B).Six deaths were recorded:Three due to major bleeding,one from thrombotic stroke,and two unrelated to coagulopathy.EXTEM clotting time(CT)-post was the only parameter that significantly differed between group A and group B(P=0.013).Each 1-second increase in CT-post was linked to an 8%higher likelihood of a bleeding event(odds ratio=1.08,95%confidence interval:1.0-1.17;P=0.048).A significant progressive increase was observed with the drug’s trough and peak levels(P<0.05)across the four dosing regimens but no significant relationship was found between CT and apixaban dose groups.CONCLUSION Early detection of bleeding risk in HD patients with NVAF on Apixaban maybe be effectively achieved through frequent monitoring using ROTEM EXTEM post CT,thereby helping to reduce associated morbidity.展开更多
Chemical exposure during prenatal development has significant implications for both maternal and child health.Compared to blood,saliva is a non-invasive and less resource-intensive,alternative.Given the temporal varia...Chemical exposure during prenatal development has significant implications for both maternal and child health.Compared to blood,saliva is a non-invasive and less resource-intensive,alternative.Given the temporal variability of xenobiotic metabolites(XM),repeated sampling is essential.Therefore,saliva offers a valuable tool for the longitudinal assessment of prenatal exposomes.Despite its potential,no studies have explored saliva for XM measurement.This study pioneered using saliva to assess XM detectability and investigate the associations between prenatal XM and endogenous metabolomes in pregnant women.Saliva samples were analysed using mass spectrometry from 80 pregnant women at 24–34 weeks gestation.Metabolomes and exposomes were annotated using the Human Metabolome and U.S.Environmental Protection Agency databases.Metabolome-XM associations were clustered using Glay community clustering.Linear regression models,adjusted for age,estimated associations between catecholamines and XMs.XM levels were validated in a cohort of women(n=14)with and without preeclampsia.Our study identified 582 metabolomes and 125 XM in saliva,demonstrating its potential as a matrix for exposure measurement.After false discovery rate correction,18109 significant metabolome-XM associations were identified.Community clustering revealed 37 connected clusters,with the largest cluster(238 nodes)enriched in tyrosine and catecholamine metabolism.Food-contactchemicals and food-additives were significantly associated with higher catecholamine and their metabolite levels.Subgroup analyses revealed higher concentrations of these chemicals in women with preeclampsia compared to healthy controls.This study demonstrates that saliva contains valuable molecular data for measuring exposomes.Food-related chemicals were associated with higher catecholamine levels,which may be relevant to the prevalence of hypertensive crises in pregnancy.展开更多

Topological states realized in metamaterials have provided a versatile platform for exploring topological physics and enabling novel applications,with topolectrical circuits emerging as a prominent example.However,pre...Topological states realized in metamaterials have provided a versatile platform for exploring topological physics and enabling novel applications,with topolectrical circuits emerging as a prominent example.However,previous research in this feld has primarily focused on lumped-element implementations,while non-lumped microwave circuits remain relatively underexplored.In this work,we design and investigate a one-dimensional non-lumped Su–Schriefer–Heeger topolectrical circuit composed of copper parallel-plate transmission lines and inductors,ofering compatibility with integrated microwave applications.Full-wave microwave simulations in the 0–10 GHz range show excellent agreement with theoretical predictions.The impedance spectrum of a fveunit-cell system displays periodic resonant passbands and stopbands corresponding to bulk states,while distinct high-Q(on the order of 10^(2))topological boundary resonances(TBRs)emerge within the stopbands,indicating the presence of localized edge states.Furthermore,the TBRs vanish when the system is reconfgured into the trivial phase,providing direct evidence of its topological nature.These response characteristics make the proposed resonator a promising candidate for future microwave devices and topological circuit applications.展开更多

文摘Chemical exposure during prenatal development has significant implications for both maternal and child health.Compared to blood,saliva is a non-invasive and less resource-intensive,alternative.Given the temporal variability of xenobiotic metabolites(XM),repeated sampling is essential.Therefore,saliva offers a valuable tool for the longitudinal assessment of prenatal exposomes.Despite its potential,no studies have explored saliva for XM measurement.This study pioneered using saliva to assess XM detectability and investigate the associations between prenatal XM and endogenous metabolomes in pregnant women.Saliva samples were analysed using mass spectrometry from 80 pregnant women at 24–34 weeks gestation.Metabolomes and exposomes were annotated using the Human Metabolome and U.S.Environmental Protection Agency databases.Metabolome-XM associations were clustered using Glay community clustering.Linear regression models,adjusted for age,estimated associations between catecholamines and XMs.XM levels were validated in a cohort of women(n=14)with and without preeclampsia.Our study identified 582 metabolomes and 125 XM in saliva,demonstrating its potential as a matrix for exposure measurement.After false discovery rate correction,18109 significant metabolome-XM associations were identified.Community clustering revealed 37 connected clusters,with the largest cluster(238 nodes)enriched in tyrosine and catecholamine metabolism.Food-contactchemicals and food-additives were significantly associated with higher catecholamine and their metabolite levels.Subgroup analyses revealed higher concentrations of these chemicals in women with preeclampsia compared to healthy controls.This study demonstrates that saliva contains valuable molecular data for measuring exposomes.Food-related chemicals were associated with higher catecholamine levels,which may be relevant to the prevalence of hypertensive crises in pregnancy.

文摘In the past year,several advancements have been achieved in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),particularly in the areas of immunotherapy and targeted therapy.These achievements have provided additional options for improving patient outcomes.The 2024 Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology Guidelines for NSCLC(CSCO NSCLC),a key reference for clinical oncologists in China,have incorporated current global research and adapted recommendations for applicability in real-world scenarios in China.This update covers not only patient selection,efficacy,and safety,but also considers economics,and accessibility,with an aim to provide more precise and comprehensive treatment guidance for Chinese oncologists.

文摘Topological states realized in metamaterials have provided a versatile platform for exploring topological physics and enabling novel applications,with topolectrical circuits emerging as a prominent example.However,previous research in this feld has primarily focused on lumped-element implementations,while non-lumped microwave circuits remain relatively underexplored.In this work,we design and investigate a one-dimensional non-lumped Su–Schriefer–Heeger topolectrical circuit composed of copper parallel-plate transmission lines and inductors,ofering compatibility with integrated microwave applications.Full-wave microwave simulations in the 0–10 GHz range show excellent agreement with theoretical predictions.The impedance spectrum of a fveunit-cell system displays periodic resonant passbands and stopbands corresponding to bulk states,while distinct high-Q(on the order of 10^(2))topological boundary resonances(TBRs)emerge within the stopbands,indicating the presence of localized edge states.Furthermore,the TBRs vanish when the system is reconfgured into the trivial phase,providing direct evidence of its topological nature.These response characteristics make the proposed resonator a promising candidate for future microwave devices and topological circuit applications.

文摘Dear Editor,This letter studies the bipartite consensus tracking problem for heterogeneous multi-agent systems with actuator faults and a leader's unknown time-varying control input. To handle such a problem, the continuous fault-tolerant control protocol via observer design is developed. In addition, it is strictly proved that the multi-agent system driven by the designed controllers can still achieve bipartite consensus tracking after faults occur.
